Sodium (S)-2-(dithiocarboxylato((2S,3R,4R,5R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexyl)amino)-4(methylthio)butanoate (GMDTC) is the first compound to use cadmium repellent as an indication. In this paper, we established and validated a bioanalytical method for the determination of GMDTC in rat plasma, and used it to determine the drug concentrations in the plasma of rats after intravenous dosing in different genders and dosages. After pretreating the plasma samples with an acetonitrile–water–ammonia solution (70:30:1.25, v/v/v), liquid chromatographic separations were efficiently achieved with a XBridge C1

Cadmium (Cd) is a toxic heavy metal, exposure to which leads to adverse health effects including chronic kidney damage. Tremendous efforts have been explored in identifying safe chelating agents for removing accumulated Cd from kidney, but with limited success owing to their associated side effects and the ineffectiveness in eliminating Cd. A newly developed chelating agent, sodium (S)-2-(dithiocarboxylato((2S,3 R,4R,5 R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexyl) amino)-4(methylthio)butanoate (GMDTC), has been shown to effectively mobilize Cd from kidney. Semantic image synthesis (SIS) in remote sensing aims to generate high-fidelity satellite imagery from land use/land cover (LULC) labels, supporting applications such as map updating, data augmentation, and environmental monitoring. However, the existing methods typically focus on pixel-level semantic-to-image translation, neglecting the spatial and semantic relationships among land cover objects, which hinders accurate scene structure modeling. In contemporary thanatological writing, we often encounter the injunction to “practice death,” an idea based on the assumption that by reflecting on mortality one can overcome a fear of it. The same idea appears explicitly and implicitly in numerous ancient philosophical and religious texts, such as the Bardo Thodol (known to the English community as The Tibetan Book of the Dead), Plato's Phaedo, the writings of Epicurus, and certain segments of the Old Testament. Abstract:
The present randomized control trial examined the effectiveness of Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT) over treatment-as-usual (TAU) approaches for couples presenting for therapy following the discovery of infidelity. Forty-nine couples participated in this trial and were randomized to either a GMCT or TAU control group, with 19 completing all pre- and post-treatment assessments. Results showed that GMCT was globally more effective in facilitating affair recovery than TAU approaches, notably in the areas of trust, conflict management, relational satisfaction, and quality of sex. Abstract The emergence of glassy dynamics and the glass transition in dense disordered systems is still not fully understood theoretically. Mode-coupling theory (MCT) has shown to be effective in describing some of the non-trivial features of glass formation, but it cannot explain the full glassy phenomenology due to the strong approximations on which it is based. Generalized mode-coupling theory (GMCT) is a hierarchical extension of the theory, which is able to outclass MCT by carefully describing the dynamics of higher-order correlations in its generalized framework. Unfortunately, the theor

Abstract Background Patients with heart failure (HF) and severely reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≤ 35% (HFrEF) are at elevated risk for arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. To evaluate potential recovery in LVEF under optimal guideline-directed medical therapy (GMDT) after initial diagnosis, patients can be provided with a wearable cardioverter-defibrillator (WCD) within the first 3 months to bridge this time. According to the ESC-HF guideline (HF-GL) introduced in 2021 GMDT consists of the "fantastic four" including Sodium-Glucose-linked-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i).

Abstract Background Post-transcriptional gene regulation is one of the critical layers of overall gene expression programs and microRNAs (miRNAs) play an indispensable role in this process by guiding cleavage on the messenger RNA targets. The transcriptome-wide cleavages on the target transcripts can be identified by analyzing the degradome or PARE or GMUCT libraries. However, high-throughput sequencing of PARE or degradome libraries using Illumina platform, a widely used platform, is not so straightforward. In this scenario, a binary classification in proportionate and disproportionate FMR has been proposed by Garland et al.
