In the presented paper the changes in mean runoff, temperature and precipitation totals in
an observed period 1962-2015 in the catchment river Hačka are assessed. The paper further
presents the analysis of climate change impact on mean runoff between the periods 1984-2014
(control period) and 2035-2065 and 2068-2098 (scenario periods) using the projections of three
regional climate model simulations. Thin Plate Spline interpolation was used to estimate basin
precipitation and temperature. Modified hydrological analogy was used for precise quantification
of naturalized runoff (i.e. not affected by water use). Climate change scenarios were
derived using simple delta change approach, i.e. observed series of precipitation and temperature
were adjusted in order to give the same changes between the control and scenario period
as regional climate model simulations. Hydrological balance was modelled with a conceptual
hydrological model Bilan. The parameters of the hydrological model were estimated using observed
data. These parameters were subsequently used to derive discharge series under climate
change conditions for each regional climate model simulation. Results showed a 1.7 °C average
increase in mean annual temperature in the scenario period 2035-2065 and a 2.8 °C average
increase in the scenario period 2068-2098. The seasonal cycle of precipitation in the scenario
conditions is shifted, although mean annual precipitation totals remain practically unchanged
(max changes -8.1 %; +9.3 %). The mean annual discharge decreases by 5.7% in average (most
20.3 %) in period 2035-2065 and a significant decrease of 25.5% in average (most 45.9 %) in
annual mean discharge is expected in the period 2068-2098. Frequency of minimal runoff is expected
to increase up to two times. Precipitation increase is expected from the beginning of the
fall to the beginning of the summer, with a slight decrease in spring. Increase in precipitation
is followed by evapotranspiration increase, caused by increase in temperature. Summer precipitation
is expected to decrease as well as summer runoff. Due to the temperature increase, time
shift of the snowmelt is expected from the periods between March-April to January-February.
This will also affect the increase of the discharge in this period. This knowledge can be applied
in water management planning in the future.

The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and ways of calculations related to the topic. In the analytical part, the thesis deals first with the analysis of the current economic situation of the group, as well as with the calculation of the full consolidation method. This area will proceed freely to the design part, which includes a concrete proposal for streamlining the economic results of the consolidation group. Finally, the effects of the proposed change in the consolidation method will be fully evaluated using financial analysis.

In which way lead a successful change of theatre management? This research question has stood at the beginning of my diploma thesis. The role of a theatre manager and its managerial features are concerned in this paper.
I trace a process of change in a theatre management in tree case studies (the theatres "Na zábradlí", "pod Palmovkou" and "na Vinohradech"). The findings are analysed in the context of artistic, public, but also commercial sector.
The case works serve as a means of formulation of so called "Lessons Learned": generalisations of key moments and barriers of successful change which are derived form concrete cases.
The need of managerial approach in a theatre management results from the problems described above. The aim of this thesis is to argue for such an approach which understands management as a particular proficiency with its regular place within the art world.
Since the environment of subsidized organisations is concerned, it is important not to omit the influence of founder as an agent of change. I assume, that we will face up to open competitions for theatre directors instead of system changes.
The crucial aim of this thesis is to identify a process of change, to apprehend its critical points and offer some possible solutions. The second aim is to contribute to a debate on the need of managerial approach in a management of art organisations.

The aim of this work was to transfer the attitudes of stakeholders through a text message on the social network Facebook. High context communication (along with the soft sell) and low context communication (along with the hard sell) was tested.
The thesis shows the importance of communications to content usability for marketing purposes. High context communication generally affect the interviewee to favor all kinds of instrumental solutions (using soft sell and negatively excited emotions against institutional solution). While low context communication focused on explosions (hard sell and facts) influenced the interviewee to prioritize institutional solutions (insurance) of 49 % against to the promoted explosions.
The investigation also tested attitudes of the two stakeholders, farmers and retailers on the issue of floods and drought and the status of institutions (state and insurance) in this issue. The thesis suggests that farmers are more trusting against institutional solutions (insurance, subsidies), and less trusting are against instrumental solution (alternative technology). The exact opposite is a group of businessmen.
The meaning of this thesis is the recommended draft for a insurance communication (slogan) against these stakeholders to raise awareness about themselves.

This thesis is a study of the spatial reconstruction of public space in the locality of Brno Bronx. The work includes several large urban and social problems. This is the solution of problems socially excluded areas, the issue of coexistence with ethnic minorities and on brownfields and solving the appropriate forms of gentrification problem area. The proposal addresses the biggest block permeability, which is lined streets of Bratislavská, Hvězdová, and Francouzská. It proposes a new structure of public spaces - squares, which are strung like beads on the newly proposed network of streets. Also engaged in the creation of public space in the vicinity of the former jail. The proposal by removing extensions provide a space for two new squares. Creative square and Square of Roma culture. With the completion of new buildings should be supported by a square and revealed the original appearance of the former jail.

Bronx - address substitution (reconstruction house of correction) The graduation thesis deals with an architectural study of a new utilization of the top security prison building and its sorrounding in „the Bronx“ of Brno. The prison with the chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin from the 18th century is a significant building of about one city block large. The project includes the modification of the original prison building and its extension, the removal of the unsuitable parts of the building and building of new objects connected to the prison and public places. The group of buildings has been designed with the regard to the alternative culture and forms of living places, which would lead to healing of the Roman ghetto. New arrangement and size of objects form two new squares. It reveals the prison in its original shape at the same time. On the south site there is a tall building designed as a dominating feature of the area.

The main theme of these photographers is the landscape or cityscape in the context of natural daylight. This thesis is also concerned with the socio-cultural perception of light, its spiritual aspects and it considers physical categories as well. Part of this work also constitutes a dictionary of terms. The dictionary tries to describe the meaning of some terms that are connected to the theme of light.

The purpose of my thesis "The change of goals in corporate governance of Canadian companies" is to find out CSR activities of chosen companies with emphasis on ecological and social activities. It examines the change of view on product manufacturing and thereby the influence on stakeholders. In the first part of thesis I focus on theoretical base of corporate governance and CSR. It zooms in the differences between two approaches -- focus on shareholders and focus on stakeholders. I analyze tools and methods of corporate governance and their influence on evaluation. In the second part I focus on analysis of real companies and application of theoretical knowledge from the first part of thesis. I analyze three Canadian companies, RioTinto Alcan -- mining company, MEC -- producer of outdoor equipment, RBC Bank -- Canadian bank. All companies are the best in their industries. Analysis of activities of three companies enables point to general CSR rules not only in Canadian environment. It is possible to demonstrate world trends of ecological and social projects and activities.

The goal of the thesis is a corporate valuation of the entity to 31.12.2009 in recent time of unstable market and financial crisic and how is the business value changeable depenging on business cycle. At the beginning summary of theoretical data concerning business cycle theories is introduced, followed by a description of business cycle and GDP of the Czech Republic from 1996 to 2010. The question of business cycles is one of the most interesting topics of the economic policy. The period of economic recession influences most of the subjects in the economy. One of these subjects is a firm. In this thesis I discuss the question how economic depression impacts the value of a firm and how firms react to the recession, what are the consequences of their reactions and the results of these consequences at the macroeconomic level. To demonstrate the impact of the crisis I have evaluated the firm ACTIVA with Discounted Cash Flow Entity method in two different time frames, first evaluation was done before the crisis occurred and the second was done during the crisis. I conclude that the crisis causes a slowdown of the growth of the relevant market and therefore also of the revenues of the firm, it causes a fall in the economic results and not least the profit margin. As a result the value of the firm decreases to less than a half of its pre-crisis value. This proves that the view of a firm's value has significantly changed as a result of the crisis. The firm's behaviour has changed as well and whence it follows that the business cycle is a consequence of a changed behaviour of the economic subjects, which operate their behaviour according to the prices.

This thesis presents architectural-urban study using an old jail facility - a major object of the 18th century. Three variants are processed, the first two keep the shape of the old building blocks and give it a new functions with different scenarios. The third variant is more detailed. The proposal consists of the jail original shape - ie. it reveals the square-shaped building with two courtyards. There are two outbuildings demolished and into the resulting space are installed three new buildings, which complement with the existing buildings and completes public space. Two new high-rise buildings, built on the south side, acts as a new landmark and a new building in the north serves to supplement the services appropriate to the locality. Buildings and spaces are linked to the main pedestrian routes, creating a cascade of continuous space - the urban interior.

Based on acquired knowledge from the original model we can evaluate credibility of mechanical behavior of newly designed model which has lower profil tapered from the original 42 mm to 25,4 mm. From the results of FEM analysis of the modified profile is evaluated applicability to the real operational state. At the end is quantified material and financial savings achieved by reducing the height of profile.

This thesis aims at clarifying the relationship between the value of the plot and the optimization, modernization or construction of a new line structure, especially a large scale line structure such as a railway or a road. This thesis was written in order to determine more precisely the total amount for the purchase, rental, and setting-up of easements on the plots affected by the construction. Upon calculating the budget price all the factors affecting the value of the plot are not emphasized now. Thus, the aim is to match the budget price as closely as possible with the financial resources which were actually spent. In most cases these structures fall under the category of “structures in the public interest”, and so they comply with respective legal regulations. What is essential is the database of affected plots whose value changes depending on the change of their use, character, and attractiveness based on the respective legal regulations. The thesis attempts at obtaining as much information as possible on the behaviour of the plot owner and construction investor from a large database of affected plots, and to cover the development of the value affected by the construction both in positive and negative terms.

The dissertation’s subject matter is mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”). The reason standing behind the dissertation is the ever growing number of announced M&A transactions around the world. The research shows why M&A are important for the company management and why managers today see them as one of the greatest challenges. The work includes a chapter dedicated to the history of M&A and its current state, which has been affected by the financial crisis. One of the main objectives of the dissertation is to connect the economic and legal views on M&A. The work confronts theoretical knowledge with actual M&A cases. In order to provide a clearer understanding of M&A, cases of both successful and unsuccessful M&A transactions in various industries are described. The dissertation includes a detailed description of the specific stages in the M&A process. It deals with the preparatory stage, due diligence, implementation, and the subsequent integration of the two and more merged companies. The dissertation also provides evaluation of the individual stages’ importance. Special attention is given to the most frequent problems occurring during the entire M&A process: human resources and the integration process. In addition, the dissertation responds to the changes in economic environment that took place between the economic boom, at the beginning of the millennium, and the recession that commenced in autumn 2008. It also shows possible future developments in M&A. The dissertation was based on a review of the existing secondary sources; on primary research in companies with experience in M&A, and on collaboration with the tutor and other experts in the M&A field. On the grounds of secondary sources review, primary research, and discussions with experts, a guide on how to successfully implement an M&A transaction was prepared. The dissertation is to serve for didactic purposes in educating future managers, as a guide for companies’ management which implement M&A transaction, and should provide a basis for further research and scientific work in the M&A field. The dissertation’s conclusion evaluates hypotheses formulated prior to its elaboration.

The accession to the European Monetary Union is fundamentally changing the role of the Czech national bank. Aim of this work is to describe and evaluate this new role of the CNB in connection with the transfer of its former powers to the ECB. The theoretical part of the work deals with the role of central banking in general, the role of the CNB before the accession to the EMU and the role of ECB in monetary union. The work reviews compliance with the conditions required for the accession to the EMU. Further it focuses on the analysis of CNB monetary policy in recent years, particularly its interest rates policy. In view of the future situation in the field of monetary policy the work draws on the experience of Slovakia after its entry into the euro zone and respondes to the question of whether uniform monetary policy is equally applicable to all member states of the euro area by using the Theory of Optimum Currency Area. The work also analyzes the actions of the ECB and the CNB caused by the current economic crisis.

For a long time has been the tighter form of the coordinaton focused only on indicators of fiscal discipline. The first chapter of this thesis provides an explanation of the concept of european economic governance and its development since the signing of Treaty of Rome. The second chapter is devoted to the development and impact of the economic crisis in the EU and the measures that have been adopted at EU level in order to improve european economic governance. The core of the thesis is the third chapter which focuses on the analysis of development of indicators monitored during MIP. The fourth chapter provides an overview of the aspects that are newly included in European economic governance thanks to MIP.

The master’s thesis is devoted to exploiting of gas-discharge lamps and their dependence on frequency of the supply current. The first part describes the theory of discharge, its types and properties, terms of its origin, and ways of its exploitation. The second part concerns electrical ballast systems of gas discharge light sources, inductive (reactive) and electronic ballasts, principles of their functioning, advantages and disadvantages, and the comparison of their properties. The following chapters deal with low-pressure and high-pressure gas-discharged lamps, compare their properties and describe exploitation of fluorescent lamps. Before conducting the experiment we have described the influence of frequency of the supply current on fluorescent tube lamps. Preparations for laboratory measuring have been also implemented. During the experiment the two types of lamps have been analyzed, the results of the research are summed up in the conclusion.

The electoral system in the United Kingdom is generally considered as the simplest method of voting and is associated with the functioning of the British twoparty system. The first past the post system has a capacity to strike in its outcomes, though. The aim of this paper is to analyze the development of the British party system since the 19th century up to current days. The analyze is based on the study of the general elections held between 1918 and 2005 and compares the data outputs by the indexes measuring the disproportionality, over-representation, under-representation and party system characteristics. The study discloses the weaknesses of the electoral system, which influence the shape of the party system. These weaknesses led twice to temporally deviation of outcomes in the two-party system. A special focus is given to the period after the World War 2 and current trends that are influenced by the changes in socioeconomic structure within the British society since the 70s. The main grounds of the greater electoral disproportionality are seen in the size of constituencies, over-representation of Scotland and Wales, and the increase in support for the third parties, lower turnout and tactical voting.
