There is an inherent, unspoken trauma prevalent amongst the Irish men who dominate James Joyce's narratives. Often, these characters trace back to Joyce's own life and his drawing of them is thereby complicated by memory. Through literary trauma theory, the behavior of these men is better understood. <p>Fly ash and AMD samples were characterised by standard analytical methods for selection of the test materials. Active treatment by means of mixing fly ash with AMD in beakers and a large tank at pre-determined ratios have shown that fly ash is capable of neutralising AMD and increasing the pH beyond neutral values, which optimises the removal of heavy metals and ions. The trend was: the more fly ash added the quicker was the reaction time and higher the pH values achieved. Results revealed that DFE treatment could decrease urinary contents of deoxypridinoline and Ca in OVX rats. DFE treatment significantly increased the bone density, Ca content, and bone mineral density. DFE reduced the OVX-induced decrease in maximal load, bending stiffness, bending energy and Young’s modulus in femoral bone. The OVX rats were randomly divided into four groups and orally treated with water, DT (300 and 900 mg/kg daily) and inulin (400 mg/kg daily) for 14 weeks.
