Deep hole drilling is a process for the production of cylindrical bore holes with a large length to diameter ratio. The variation of parameters is limited to those ones of the conventional drilling process such as rotation and feed motion. A special deep hole drilling process, named “chamber-boring”, was developed for the production of contoured bore holes in axial direction [1]. For specific applications not only a contouring in axial direction is required but also a radial contouring is necessary. REDPATH DEILMANN GmbH from Germany has been sinking and lining two shafts and initial underground development since 2017 on the territory of the Republic of Belarus (Starobinskoe potassium salt deposit, Luban) by request of Slavkaliy LLC. Shaft sinking is one of the most complicated and time-consuming stages in renovation and construction of new underground mines. In the absolute majority of cases, shaft sinking and lining are at the critical path for implementation of such projects. Abstract:
Modern combined cycle gas turbines are highly flexible in their operation, concerning start up, load change and shut down. Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) arranged downstream of the Gas Turbine (GT) are forced to operate in such a way, that the gas turbine operation is not restricted by them. Therefore, they should be designed for a high cycling capability with typical values in the range of 200 to 250 cold starts, 1000 warm and 2500 hot starts for their typical 25 year life span. Cold starts are defined as a standstill period of over 120 hours, warm starts to a weekend shutdown and hot
