Abstract:
HSE, widely recognised as Health, Safety, and Environment, is a critical function in all industries. The primary responsibility of the HSE department is to manage occupational safety and health, also referred to as Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). OHS focuses on the health, safety, and welfare of individuals engaged in work or employment. The goals of employee health and safety programs include promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Additionally, OHS aims to protect employees, co-workers, family members, customers, and any other individuals potentially impacted by workplace activities. In India, the concept of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) has emerged as a significant aspect of occupational health and safety management. The chemical manufacturing sector is characterised by high hazards, often leading to serious accidents resulting from unsafe behaviours or unsafe acts. It is recognised that Behaviour-Based Safety can significantly help control such incidents, including minor injury cases. Improvement in workplace culture directly contributes to a reduction in accident rates. Behaviour-Based Safety essentially involves transforming unsafe acts into safe practices through enhanced awareness and behavioral correction. In the chemical industry, BBS holds paramount importance. This study demonstrates that with the implementation of BBS programs, there is a notable reduction in at-risk behaviors, leading to safer workplaces. The findings confirm that applying Behaviour Based Safety through the HSE function in chemical manufacturing industries is effective and successful. Abstract:
Organic amendments (OAs) and soilborne biocontrol agents or beneficial microbes (BMs) have been extensively studied and applied worldwide in most agriculturally important plant species. However, poor integration of research and technical approaches has limited the development of effective disease management practices based on the combination of these two bio-based strategies. Insights into the importance of the plant-associated microbiome for crop productivity, which can be modified or modulated by introducing OAs and/or BMs, are providing novel opportunities to achieve the goal of long-term disease control. This review discusses novel ways of functionally characterizing OAs and how they may be used to promote the effect of added biocontrol agents and/or beneficial soil microbiota to support natural suppressiveness of plant pathogens.

Abstract:
In an effort to improve the quality of public services, the Ministry of Communication and Information (KOMINFO) has held a One Day Service (ODS) or public service automation. The results of the implementation of the ODS have had a significant impact on accelerating the service process, but complaints about discrepancies or discrepancies in data are still common, the president even issued Presidential Regulation no. 39 of 2019 concerning one Indonesian data as a result of gaps in data between government agencies and data provider agencies such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). So the purpose of this study is to analyze data integration efforts and their constraints, as well as to design a data integration approach model that is seen as more effective and optimal. This descriptive qualitative research collects document data and interviews with informants who are employees at Kominfo regarding data integration efforts, and the analysis is carried out using a member check and FGD triangulation approach. The results of the research show that the process of integrating data is still not optimal, constrained by problems of coordination between agencies that have not been well established, and Kominfo is still focused on aspects of strengthening technological infrastructure, as well as the readiness of several agencies to supply data. Model construction analysis found that the total quality management (TQM) approach led to an increase in the potential of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics to carry out collaboration and collaboration to obtain data, analyze and publish data needed by society, organizations and the industrial sector. This integration can be carried out optimally when using integrated management, namely TQM.

Full text
Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to evaluate the contribution of energy storage systems to resource adequacy of power systems experiencing increased levels of renewables penetration. To this end, a coherent methodology for the assessment of system capacity adequacy and the calculation of energy storage capacity value is presented, utilizing the Monte Carlo technique. The main focus is on short-duration storage, mainly battery energy storage systems (BESS), whose capacity values are determined for different power and energy configurations. Alternative operating policies (OPs) are implemented, prioritizing system cost or reliability, to demonstrate the significant effect storage management may have on its contribution to system adequacy. A medium-sized island system is used as a study case, applying a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) generation scheduling model to simulate BESS and system operation under each OP, in order to determine capacity contribution and overall performance in terms of renewable energy sources (RES) penetration, system operating cost and BESS lifetime expectancy. This study reveals that BESS contribution to system adequacy can be significant (capacity credit values up to ~85%), with energy capacity proving to be the most significant parameter. Energy storage may at the same time enhance system reliability, reduce generation cost and support RES integration, provided that it is appropriately managed; a combined reliability-oriented and cost-driven management approach is shown to yield optimal results.

Abstract:
In the historical process of expelling the Ottomans from Europe, Habsburg rule spread across Central and Eastern Europe. In the context of the somewhat later dominant views that guided pol itics, such as the Enlightenment or the populationist politics, the settlement of colonists became more and more important, also in Banat, a depopulated area during the Turkish wars, which was mainly used for defense purposes. Here, the new colonists, the new types of settlements and the industrial activities in a highly multicultural environment made Banat one of the most developed and industrialized regions of the Habsburg Monarchy. In the description of the settlement of Ger man population groups that took place in the 18th century, the example of the Transylvanian Sax ons is used first, who were settled very early on by the kings of Hungary on the eastern border of the kingdom in order to protect them and also to farm. Over time they have developed and always defended their own identity and dialect as well as their own laws and constitutional status. The settlement of the Banat Germans, which took place in several waves, is followed along the social, geographical, economic and last but not least demographic coordinates. Later, the constitutional status of Banat also changed, until this multicultural region became part of Greater Romania after the First World War. All these changes always brought new challenges for the Banat Germans, who had their own organizational forms at that time. Political activity in defense of collective rights continued throughout the interwar period, marked by political instability.

Abstract:
Abstract Environmental concerns have given a great deal of attention for the production of ultra-low-sulfur fuels. The conventional hydrodesulfurization (HDS) process has high operating cost and also encounters difficulty in removing sulfur compound with steric hindrance. Consequently, various research efforts have been made to overcome the limitation of conventional HDS process and exploring the alternative technologies for deep desulfurization. The alternative processes being explored for the production of ultra-low-sulfur content fuel are adsorptive desulfurization (ADS), biodesulfurization (BDS), oxidative desulfurization (ODS), and extractive desulfurization (EDS). The present article provided the comprehensive information on the basic principle, reaction mechanism, workability, advantages, and disadvantages of conventional and alternative technologies. This review article aims to provide valuable insight into the recent advances made in conventional HDS process and alternative techniques. For deep desulfurization of liquid fuels, integration of conventional HDS with an alternative technique is also proposed.

Full text
Abstract:
Abstract Introduction This study investigates geospatial factors associated with community integration through the following research objectives: (1) explore geographic variations in community integration among burn injury survivors in four metropolises with Burn Model System (BMS) centers, (2) identify community-level social and environmental factors that influence integration, and (3) compare how these factors differ across the four cities. Methods The primary data source for this study is the BMS National Database. Inclusion criteria were limited to adult burn survivors with injuries sustained between 2015 and 2022 and follow-up data at 6 months post-injury to ensure ZIP code availability for spatial analysis. This resulted in a final sample of approximately 1,500 adult burn survivors. The supplementary geospatial data was obtained from the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Data, which offers county-level metrics to assess community conditions over time using 19 variables across four categories: (1) Employment Opportunities, (2) Inclusive Neighborhoods, (3) Healthy Environment, and (4) Responsive and Just Governance. Using this dataset, we performed four analyses: (1) Created county-level maps to illustrate average Community Integration Questionnaire (CIQ) scores before the injury and at 6 months post-injury; (2) Conducted Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression to determine which community characteristics were associated with reduced community reintegration outcomes for burn injury survivors; and (3) Examined how these factors varied across the four major metropolitan areas. Results First, counties showing significant decreases in CIQ scores are predominantly rural. Second, these counties tend to exhibit unfavorable conditions, including low economic inclusion, weak social capital, poor transportation, and healthcare access, as well as lower environmental quality, neonatal health, and safety from trauma. Third, however, the strength of these associations with community-level characteristics varies significantly across the different metropolitan areas. Conclusions First, the findings suggest that community integration is shaped not only by individual demographic attributes or health status but also by broader community-level factors. Second, the determinants of community integration vary significantly across regions, indicating the need for future research to explore the underlying mechanisms contributing to these regional disparities. Applicability of Research to Practice This research provides actionable insights for physicians and healthcare practitioners involved in burn treatment and recovery. For example, the study highlights the importance of access to rehabilitation services, community support systems, and access to healthy foods in improving patient outcomes. These insights can inform clinical decision-making, guide treatment protocols, and enhance multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Abstract:
The superabsorbents’ application as materials for the preparation of modern mineral fertilizers of controlled activity is presented. Under the static conditions, the commercial acrylic-based Agro® Hydrogel was used as a sorbent for Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), and Zn(II) ions in the presence of three biodegradable complexing agents of the new generation: (N-1,2-dicarboxyethyl)-D,L-aspartate acid (IDHA), N,N-ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid (EDDS) and N,N-bis(carboxymethyl) glutamic acid (GLDA). The ions and complexes concentrations were determined by the inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). The characterization of hydrogel before and after the adsorption process was made using the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), surface area determination (ASAP), scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS) as well as the thermogravimetric (TGA) methods. The influence of the phase contact time, initial concentration, and pH on the adsorption capacities was investigated. The kinetic and adsorption parameters were determined. The Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin–Radushkevich, and Temkin adsorption models were applied to describe the experimental data. The Langmuir isotherm model accurately characterized the equilibrium process. The adsorption process was fast, and it reached equilibrium after 60 min of the phase contact time. The research on the adsorption of Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), and Zn(II) onto Agro® Hydrogel with IDHA, EDDS, and GLDA indicates that these complexing agents improve process efficiency.

Abstract:
The quality of financial disclosures is of great importance than ever, as Vietnam’s international economic integration has been accelerating recently. This issue is currently particularly worrying for the banking sector in Vietnam, as banks play a vital role in economic development. However, there is a growing concern that managers tend to manipulate financial information using earnings management techniques to meet analyst expectations and to enhance the firm value in the short term. Such behavior can lead to inappropriateness in the decision-making process of financial statement users, as well as impair firm value in the long term. Therefore, this study examines the impact of factors related to financial indicators on earnings management of Vietnamese commercial banks to give more insight into the issue. The data of this study was collected from a sample of 30 Vietnamese commercial banks during a 5-year period from 2015 to 2019. By using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression method through Eviews 10.0, the findings revealed that financial leverage and loan loss provision have a positive and significant impact on earnings management. Also, bank size and profitability were negatively associated with earnings management. Based on these findings, in the context of Vietnam, the study proposed policy suggestions to improve the quality of accounting information and to assist users of financial statements in recognizing and restricting earnings management in commercial banks.

Abstract:
The growing integration of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic and wind systems, into energy grids has underscored the need for reliable control mechanisms to mitigate the inherent intermittency of these sources. According to the Brazilian grid operator (ONS), there have been cascading disconnections in renewable energy distributed systems (REDs) in recent years, highlighting the need for robust control models. This article addresses this issue by presenting the validation of an active power ramp rate control (PRRC) function for a PV plant coupled with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) using WECC generic models. The proposed model underwent rigorous validation over an extended analysis period, demonstrating good accuracy using the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and an R-squared (R2) metrics for the active power injected at the Point of Connection (POI), PV active power, and BESS State of Charge (SOC), providing valuable insights for medium and long-term analyses. The ramp rate control module was implemented within the plant power controller (PPC), leveraging second-generation Renewable Energy Systems (RES) models developed by the Western Electricity Coordination Council (WECC) as a foundational framework. We conducted simulations using the Anatem software, comparing the results with real-world data collected at 100 ms to 1000 ms intervals from a PV plant equipped with a BESS in Brazil. The proposed model underwent rigorous validation over an extended analysis period, with the presented results based on two days of measurements. The positive sequence model used to represent this control demonstrated good accuracy, as confirmed by metrics such as the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and R-squared (R2). Furthermore, the article underscores the critical role of accurately accounting for the power sampling rate when calculating the ramp rate.

Parents play an important role in the development of their children. This research reflects the role of parents in developing children. Through four stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and acceptable results, this method uses a systematic literature review using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) method. The findings from the fourteen articles examined show that parenting skills play an important role in a child's growth and development from birth to death. The determining factor in the development of physical, motoric, moral, language, social-emotional, and life skills aspects is the role of both parents as important teachers for children from birth to adulthood. Parents can also use a variety of parenting strategies and skills, many of which they have learned throughout their lives and passed on to their children, to help their children grow.

Abstract:
With the development of data transmission networks Internet service providers implement solutions of the OSS/BSS class (Operations Support Systems / Business Support Systems) every year. The integration of different elements of the information and communication network takes place due to the system data, but some issues require further development. Integrated accounting of the technical and socio-economic information is being considered while solving problems of data transmission network design. The aim of the work is structuring the design process of the optical access networks of the Internet provider. Optical access networks based on PON and FTTB technologies have been chosen as the object of study. When executing projects, many factors are to be considered, such as: subjectivity of the designers, level of their competence, interest in using certain technologies by specific groups of designers. To reduce the influence of such factors, it is recommended to apply methods of accumulating and processing information associated with successful or unsuccessful experience of implementing previous projects. Using the system analysis methods and IDEF0 diagrams, a similar design task is structured in the form of diagrams of a draft project and a detailed design, for which groups of variables have been identified. The output values of the diagrams are the intermediate and final assessments of the project, which allows the decision maker to determine feasibility of the subsequent stages of the project implementation. Realizing the proposed provisions shows the opportunities for further development of OSS/ BSS systems in terms of automation of the decision-making support process associated with the selection and practical implementation of access network projects.

Abstract:
AbstractWe present an integrated algorithm for high‐resolution crustal‐scale imaging utilizing long‐offset wide‐angle ocean‐bottom seismometer (OBS) data and short‐offset multichannel streamer (MCS) data. The algorithm adopts a two‐step imaging strategy, initially using the OBS data to enhance deep structure imaging and capture long‐wavelength features of the migration velocity. Subsequently, the MCS data are migrated to recover detailed short‐wavelength components and shallow structures using the migration velocity model modified by the OBS result. Both steps employ the least‐squares reverse time migration (LSRTM) method with appropriate regularization techniques. The algorithm is implemented using the Bregmanized operator splitting (BOS) approach, known for its efficiency and adaptability in handling non‐smooth regularization, such as total‐variation (TV) constraints. To improve computational efficiency, compressed sensing is employed to store incident wavefields at half their actual size and reconstruct them accurately when required. Convergence is expedited through the use of preconditioners and the Anderson acceleration method. The proposed algorithm is validated through large‐scale numerical examples, demonstrating its robustness even with an initially imprecise velocity model. Results showcase improved resolution and accuracy achieved through the integration of OBS and MCS data. This study offers a comprehensive framework for crustal‐scale imaging, addresses computational complexities, and provides enhanced imaging capabilities.

Abstract:
Background: Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is a significant health concern globally, with a notable prevalence in India. The interconnections between gut health, heart function, and brain activity—the Gut-Heart-Brain Axis—may play a critical role in the morbidity and management of CHD. However, the interplay of these systems has not been extensively studied within the Indian demographic. Methods: In a cross-sectional study of 100 Indian patients with CHD, we assessed the Gut Health Score (GHS), Heart Function Score (HFS), and Brain Function Score (BFS) to evaluate their individual and interactive contributions to the Overall Health Score (OHS). Statistical analyses included ANOVA, correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: Each health score significantly contributed to the OHS, indicating their individual importance in CHD outcomes. Notably, a significant interaction between GHS and HFS suggested a synergistic effect on patient health. No significant direct interaction between GHS and BFS or a three-way interaction among the health scores was observed. Conclusions: Our findings suggest the Gut-Heart-Brain Axis's influence on CHD outcomes in the Indian population, with significant implications for integrated patient care. The study advocates for a multidisciplinary approach to CHD management, considering the patient's holistic health status. Abstract:
Corn has a strategic role and economic value in Indonesia, and has to be developed due to its position as the main source of carbohydrate and protein, raw material for food, feed, and biofuel industry. Aimed this research to determine the position of Indonesian com competitiveness in the international market in know the comparative advantage of Indonesian corn;factors that influence Indonesian com demand, and the integration between Indonesian corn market and the world com market. This research applys descriptive method The data used are time series data sourced from FAO, National Statistic Agency (BPS), and World Bank. Competitiveness is measured by the parameters of Revealed Comparative Advantage, Trade Specialist Ratio, Acceleration Ratio, and Market Penetration Index. The RCA, TSR, and AR analysis used data year 1988-2008, the MPI analysis used data year 1995-2008. Indonesian import corn demand is analyzed by OLS (ordinary least squares) multiple regression in the form of natural logarithm using data year 1980-2008, while market integration is analyzed by the unit root test, co-integration test, and Granger causality test using data year 1961-2008. The results shows that 1) the Indonesian corn competitiveness is low caused by the low production of Indonesian com; 2) Indonesian import corn demand is positively affected by the price of imported com and GDP of Indonesia, and negatively affected by the price of imported soybean and imported rice. Imported soybeans are complements of cornfor feed, while imported rice is the substitute of com for feed,' 3) There is no integration between the Chinese market and the Indonesian market because China is a country which re-export corn, there is integration between the United States market and the Indonesian market, as well as between Argentina's market and Indonesian market, but there is no causal relationship. The United States and Argentina market is not a dominant (leading) market in pricing of Indonesian Corn.market.

Abstract:
The integration of bioactive glasses (BGs) into hard tissues in in-vivo models can be evaluated through X-ray radiographs. The image contrast plays an important role and should be enhanced to improve accurate minimal invasive diagnostics of the performance of BGs containing implants after surgery. The present work shows theeffect of the progressive addition of Bi2O3 (up to 12.2 wt%) on the structure, thermal properties, radiopacity, and bioactivity of 45S5-like BG obtained by quenching of the melt prepared from oxide precursors. The BG chemical composition, phase composition, structure, chemical state, thermal properties, and radiopacity were respectivelyinvestigated by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and radiopacity analysis according to the ISO13116:2014 norm. The bioactivity of the glasses was monitored by immersing them in a simulated body fluid(SBF) under static conditions. The apatite formation ability and ion concentration in SBF after 3, 7, 14, and 21 days were investigated by XRD, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), and ICP mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). All samples were found to be X-ray amorphous. Simultaneous formation of [BiO3] and [BiO6] units is noted in the BG. The glass radiopacity increased up to 1.8 and 4.2 times compared to the reference glasses without Bi2O3. Bi2O3 additions in the glass slow down the formation of apatite-like structures as a result of the network forming role of [BiO3] and [BiO6] units in the BG. Nevertheless, the BGs with the 12.2 wt % Bi2O3 still shows the ability to form apatite deposits after 7 days of immersion in simulated body fluid (SBF).

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to study the key aspects of the formation of digital supply chains, directions for the use of digital technologies in logistics and management of global supply chains. To achieve the goal of this study, meth-ods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization, structural-logical methods were used. The article considers the essence of the concept of a digital supply chain, explores the accumulated theoretical and practical experience in this area, presents an analysis of trends in logistics and supply chains, clarifies the aspects of the use of various digital technologies in the process of digital transformation of supply chains, focuses on the defining characteristics of a digital supply chain, as well as the main levers of supply chain improvement 4.0. Both the benefits and the possible risks of introducing a digital supply chain are identified. The factors influencing the complexity and the cost of the necessary digital solutions are indicated and the directions for further trans-formation of supply chains based on digital technologies are presented. Mod-ern technologies have been characterized that allow digital transformation of supply chains, which include artificial intelligence, virtual integration with plat-form-based suppliers, predictive analytics, blockchain, etc. Our research con-cluded that the most important benefits of a digital supply chain are increased flexibility, efficiency and productivity. The digital supply chain presented as a dynamic and integrated network is characterized by a continuous flow of in-formation that facilitates automation, adds value, improved on work processes and analytics, and generates insights, thereby improving customer service and organizational sustainability. It is emphasized that the main goal is not the very fact of introducing digital technologies into the relevant business process-es, but what opportunities these technologies generate in order to create a new way of doing business, provide a new digital business strategy necessary to increase competitive advantages and create a positive customer experience through innovative new products and services.

Abstract:
This paper seeks to explore environmental, social and governance issues arising from investment in special economic zones (SEZs) in the mainland Southeast Asian region through a mixture of thick analytical description and multiple case study approach. All the states studied here have embraced the SEZ approach as it offers rapid economic development without any implications for the political settlement, which is considered beneficial by current administrations. Particular emphasis is placed on environmental, social and governance issues in the region covered and some complex issues that have emerged. It is shown that the situation is complex and continually evolving and that there are limited constraints on the actions of corporations. Consequently, there is an opportunity for investors to set precedents and protocols on a progressive basis.
