Abstract:
n the last decade, there has been an active digitalization of industrial production based on rapidly developing information technologies, including artificial intelligence technologies. This is largely due to the development of deep learning methods and their applications in computer vision. Since the mid 2010s convolutional neural networks demonstrate exceptional efficiency in solving problems such as the detection, classification and segmentation of various objects. As a result, computer vision methods are beginning to be actively used in the problems of quality control of raw materials and finished products. All this applies to the mining industry. However, in the Russian scientific literature there are practically no systematic reviews of computer vision applications in this area. The present study aims to fill this gap. The paper provides a systematic review of the history of development and the current state of the methods and technologies of machine vision used in the mining industry for the analysis of solid materials, demonstrates the latest achievements in this area and examples of their application in the mining industry. The authors have analyzed 29 research papers in the field of application of computer vision in the mining industry and classified the stages of technology development from the mid-1980s, when computer vision was used without the use of machine learning, and ending with modern research based on the use of deep convolutional neural networks for solving problems of classification and segmentation. The effectiveness of the methods used is compared, their advantages and disadvantages are discussed, and forecasts are made for the development of computer vision methods in the mining industry in the near future. Examples are given showing that the use of convolutional neural networks made it possible to move to a qualitatively higher level of quality in solving problems of classification and segmentation as applied to the analysis of output volume, particle size distribution, including flakiness, angularity and roughness, dust and clay content, bulk density and emptiness, etc.

The quantum computer is on the advance and is becoming better and more powerful. Although we cannot yet speak of a quantum advantage, we can already speak of a quantum utility (Fraunhofer, 2023). This new technology already offers many fields of applications and use for companies. And quantum computers can also help companies when it comes to fundamental dilemmas such as the trade-off between driving innovation and remaining competitive or the holistic promotion of sustainability within the global challenges of our time. A dilemma that is often inherent in innovations themselves. Some general insights into (normatively) "good" innovation or innovation quality in this context can be derived from the quantum computer as a tool for meta-innovation. Abstract:
The traditional construction engineering survey has many construction problems, but also may produce large error, leading to the measurement results that cannot meet the actual requirements of the project. In this paper, a new measurement technology is proposed from the aspects of determining the angle and distance of GPS laser scanning, stitching and registration of surveying and mapping data, and GPS measurement of building engineering structures. The test results show that the measurement coincidence rate decreases with the increase of construction time. We can also obviously find the changes of visibility of different frequency points in middle and high frequency bands. The visibility of middle and high frequency band is less sensitive to construction than that of low frequency band. This method has high accuracy and can provide high accuracy for future construction and data storage. Throughout the current situation of the whole construction industry, people need to find a scientific, feasible, and efficient way to solve the problem of low efficiency and serious waste of resources. With the development of GPS measurement technology and computer technology, information technology has been deeply into various industries, such as manufacturing industry, aerospace industry, etc., through electronic information means to optimize the production technology and process, so that the production efficiency and quality have been significantly improved. Similarly, we can apply GPS measurement and computer technology to the construction industry, achieve scientific construction project management, standardize engineering technology standards, and finally achieve the ideal effect.

Abstract:
In industry, up to 40% of an IS budget can be spent on Storage technology, making it the fastest growing segment of IT/IS. While industry has recognised the need to diffuse this technology, academia has been slow to respond to this diffusion need. Universities are not teaching courses in this area and a variety of reasons are presented ranging from lack of skills to cost (the cost of installing a Storage system for use by students is a massive expenditure well beyond the budgets of most IS academic departments). This paper concentrates on the lack of skills (knowledge barriers in the parlance of diffusion of innovation theory) and examines ways to overcome this. The knowledge skills are present in industry, so collaboration between industry and academia is a suggested solution. Collaboration between industry and academia, though, is fraught with problems. The aim of this research therefore is to examine how this collaboration can be effective. Interestingly, the result of this research suggests true collaboration is not the solution, but a win-win situation is still possible for all stakeholders.

Abstract:
The use of computers as producers of technology-based products is hugely impressive. Computer vision technology, which is a branch of artificial intelligence, is developing very quickly. This is what underlies the need for this research to be done to detect the number of green plants (Viridiplantae) that are located on critical post-mining land, where it is known that the area is land that has been damaged with the condition of the soil being shallow and a layer of remaining tailings until a layer of rock is visible that can inhibit plant growth. Thus developed an application for detecting green plants using computer vision as modern ways to improve the recognition of objects in images. Computer vision applications are implemented on desktop applications created with the Python aiming to balance modern technology with the concept of preserving the environment. The development method used Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining which is the most representative method for planning overall data extraction, the design of the experiment and evaluation. The results of the research proved that only a few green plants were detected on post-mining land, so it is necessary to increase public awareness that environmental preservation and maintenance is very important.

Abstract:
Digital twin is one of the emerging technologies for the digital transformation of the power industry. Many existing studies claim that the widespread application of digital twins will shift the industry to a principally new level of development. This article provides an extensive overview of the industrial application experience of digital twin technologies for solving the problems of modern power systems with a particular focus on the task of high-voltage power equipment lifecycle management. The latter task contours one of the most promising areas for the application of the digital twins in the power industry since it requires deep analysis of the technological processes dynamics and the development of physical, mathematical and computer models that cover all the potential benefits of the digital twin technology. At the moment, there is a lack of reliable data on the problems of assessing and predicting the technical state of high-voltage power equipment. The use of digital twin technology in modern power systems will allow for aggregating data from a variety of real objects and will allow the automatization of collecting and processing of big data by implementing artificial intelligence methods, which will ultimately make it possible to manage the life cycle of the power equipment. The article puts to scrutiny the industrial experience of digital twins creation, considering the technical solutions suggested by the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment. A classification of digital twins, examples and main features of their application in the power industry, including the problem of managing the life cycle of high-voltage electrical equipment, are considered and discussed.

Abstract:
Optical engineering uses research and development of laser technology, modern photonic detection/imaging systems and optical metrology for engineering applications. It has produced a wide range of processes and techniques from high-power laser material processing to high-sensitivity metrology and has applications in every industrial sector. Modern optical diagnostic techniques are providing new experimental and in situ data, which hitherto were considered to be unobtainable. Engineers are analysing these data in order to provide immediate design improvements in the performance of components. In addition, they use the data to refine theoretical/computer models of engineering processes, which in turn provide more accurate performance prediction. This paper introduces technology now available to the optical engineer and describes how it is being used to provide optical diagnostic techniques for both solid and fluid mechanics applications in industry. The gas industry has to deal with gas provision safely and efficiently from ‘drill bit to burner tip’ and has benefited significantly from optical engineering. Examples of optical diagnostic techniques and applications, which are used to improve this process, are described.
