Full textThis research deals with the concept of brand hate, and more precisely with the study of its (multidimensional) structure, its nature (mix of negative emotions) and its causes and consequences. Based on previous research on brand hate, we investigate the interplay between brand personality and consumer personality in shaping brand hate and its consequences. More specifically, this paper investigates the links between the brand’s fallacious character, brand betrayal feelings and brand hate, and identifies two response routes leading to consumer avoidance and revenge. Furthermore, the study explores the moderating impact of narcissism on the relationships between brand hate and its outcomes.A first study based on mixed methods (MIEL) determines a typology of brand haters according to the situations of stress caused by the brand, the type of hate (active or passive) and the corresponding coping strategies. Three groups of consumers are identified: "the threatened haters", "the hostile haters " and "the rational haters"

Full textWhen school was the place of transmission of knowledge, academic failure was related to the question of knowledge. Today, the loss of boundary between transmission of educational, social, medical knowledge promotes widespread interference, and the term "learning difficulties"is used in a sort of amalgam, to designate the status of a student that does not benefit from the school system. This catch-all term, with multiple meanings, objectifying the student, refers to this lack of boundaries, characteristic of the social bond of liberal society tending to confusion. Thus, the discourse of school, through the official texts, undermines the authority of the teacher who supports the generational difference, inducing confusion of places. The 1989 Act places the student at the center of the educational system, and acknowledges him as responsible for his education; terms such as autonomy, contracting, negotiation annihilate the role of the master, inducing symmetry, thus a loss of boundaries in the relationships between adults and students. With reference to psychoanalytic theory, academic difficulty, whatever its form, can be viewed in terms of failure of Oedipal resolution, producing confusion in the subject, loss of limits, the pursuit of enjoyment, and difficulty in building on the gap. Therefore, the discourse of school, characterized this way, contributes for such students, to more confusion. All the more as today when the authority of speech of previous generations (which provided the markers for identifying the structural construction of the subject) is replaced by the accounting measurement of capabilities and attitudes
