Abstract:
The prevalence of asymmetrical hearing impairment in the entire service population (1490 individuals) of a Royal Air Force flying station was estimated from routine audiometric testing recorded in individuals’ medical records. Criteria for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning to exclude the possibility of vestibular schwannoma were determined in accordance with the risk management principle that the cost of the screening should not exceed the value of the likely benefit. MRI scanning should be carried out in the presence of an asymmetrical sensorineural hearing impairment of (a) 15 dB or

Abstract. The metro cabin provides an effective way for the spread of the pneumonia virus when provides convenience to human beings. The cabin undergoes a series of motions of acceleration speed, uniform speed, and deceleration speed during the one-station travelling process. The induced flow of the accelerated moving cabin is the determinant of the air drag force on the cough droplets, and effect on the time-frequency characteristics and motion trajectories of droplets of different sizes. In this study, we established a momentum equation on droplets, affected by the inertial force correction

Research at the Air Force Research Laboratory has focused on determining the value of combining computer-generated information with live camera video presented on an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) station display. In a previous study, a picture-in-picture (PIP) concept (where video imagery is surrounded by synthetic-generated terrain imagery, increasing the operator's instantaneous field-of-view) was found to reduce landmark search time and enhance operator situation awareness. The present study examined whether PIP display size and symbology overlay registration error impacts performance. Results

The present study was carried out to advance towards the conserving threatened forest tree species of Bangladesh under ex-situ conservation system. Four thousand plants of forty eight threatened forest tree species were conserved at three areas, namely Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Chittagong University; Radar Unit of Bangladesh Air Force, Cox‟s Bazar; and the Keochia research station of Bangladesh Forest Research Institute. The average 90-95% plants survived in each conservation site and the maximum average plant height was recorded as 4.0m after two years of plantation. I

The Baihetan hydropower station is the second largest hydropower station worldwide. It began to store water in April 2021. We conducted a dense hybrid gravity and GNSS survey at 223 stations, obtained the free-air and Bouguer gravity anomalies, inversed the lithospheric density structure, and calculated the isostatic additional force (IAF) borne by lithosphere in the reservoir area. Moreover, we studied the gravity change and Coulomb stress change around the Baihetan reservoir due to impoundment. The main findings are the following. The anchor was installed using the “single protection” technique (i.e., the steel strands without greased sheath and were backfilled directly with cement mortar). The anchor was unearthed by excavating a 1.5 m × 1.7 m tunnel. Visual inspection shows that the steel strands in the free and fixed
