Backgrounds: Liver is the largest viscera, located in the right hypochondrium, epigastrium and left hypochondrium of the abdominal cavity. It is a wedge-shaped organ with its narrow end pointed towards the left. It is convex in the front, to the right, above, and behind, and is somewhat concave inferiorly, where it is moulded to the shapes of the adjacent viscera. Even though the surface is smoothly continuous, liver is customarily apportioned by the anatomists into a larger right and a smaller left lobe by the line of attachment of the falciform ligament anteriorly and the fissure for ligamen

However, corrosion-induced failure would happen in a very short time if carbon steel was used in a nitrogen injection well, as nitrogen injection media usually contains 2%~5% oxygen which would cause heavy corrosion and scaling of the carbon steel tubing. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce anti-corrosion measures to protect nitrogen injection well against corrosion in harsh downhole environment. We present a highly spatially sensitive quantitative phase microscopy system integrated with on-chip nanoscopy to visualize 3D morphology of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs). We used the system to obtain 3D morphology of LSEC by using chip-based nanoscopy for lateral super-resolution, and QPM for mapping nanoscale thickness.

Abstract:
Pueraria mirifica airy shaw and suvatabandhu, know locally as Kwao Keur, is a plant in family Leguminosae. In this study, effects of P.mirifica on hepatic cytochrome P450 (CYP), serum lipid profile and subchronic toxicity were investigated in male Wistar rats. Rats were randomly divided into four treatment groups as following: normal diet-fed group; normal diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group; high cholesterol diet-fed group; high cholesterol diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group. Each group comprised 10 rats. P.mirifica was administered orally at a dosage of 100 mg/kg/day for 90

Abstract:
Tree species are characterized by their perennial growth habit, woody morphology, long juvenile period phase, mostly outcrossing behaviour, highly heterozygosity genetic makeup, and relatively high genetic diversity. The economically important trees have been an integral part of the human life system due to their provision of timber, fruit, fodder, and medicinal and/or health benefits. Despite its widespread application in agriculture, industrial and medicinal values, the molecular aspects of key economic traits of many tree species remain largely unexplored. Over the past two decades, researc

Axenrot, Thomas, and Erik Degerman. Ontogenetic variation in lacustrine European smelt (Osmerus eperlanus) populations as a response to ecosystem characteristics : an indicator of population sensitivity to environmental and climate stressors. Abstract:
Smelts play a key role in the pelagic ecosystem of large lakes in northern Europe and North America. In numbers, they often dominate the open water. In large lakes in Scandinavia (including Finland), European smelt (Osmerus eperlanus L.), a cold-water glacial relict, is commonly the most important prey for piscivorous fish species, but also acts by ontogenetic shifts as a predator on zoo-plankton, small crustaceans, fish larvae, mysids and occasionally – with increasing size - fish. Furthermore, the large numbers of smelt in the open water are important competitors to other planktivorous fish.
