Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of, and identify core techniques of, search engine optimization (SEO) techniques applied to the web (http://lg-sl.net) and mobile (http//m.lg-sl.net) Science Land content and services at LG Sangnam Library in Korea. Design/methodology/approach – In accordance with three major SEO guidelines, ten SEO techniques were identified and applied, and their implications were extracted on three areas: improved search engine accessibility, increased relevance between site content and search engine keywords, and improved site credibility. The effects were quantitatively analyzed in terms of registered search engine keywords and influx of visits via search engines. Findings – This study shows that SEO techniques help increase the exposure of the library services and the number of visitors through search engines. Practical implications – SEO techniques have been applied to a few non-Korean information service organizations, but it is not a well-accepted practice in Korean libraries. And the dominant search engines in Korea have published their own SEO guidelines. Prior to this study, no significant endeavors have been undertaken in the context of Korean library services that have adopted SEO techniques to boost exposure of library services and increase user traffics. Originality/value – This is the first published study that has applied optimized SEO techniques to Korean web and mobile library services, in order to demonstrate the usefulness of the techniques for maximized exposure of library content.

The SEO process for a website is required to upgrade or optimized periodically because the search engines are modifying their algorithms and trying to be more realistic in nature. Search engine optimization techniques, often shortened to “SEO,” should lead to first positions in organic search results. Some optimization techniques do not change over time, yet still form the basis for SEO. However, as the Internet and web design evolves dynamically, new optimization techniques flourish and flop. Thus, we looked at the most important factors that can help to improve positioning in search results. It is important to emphasize that none of the techniques can guarantee high ranking because search engines have sophisticated algorithms, which measure the quality of webpages and derive their position in search results from it. Next, we introduced and examined the object of the optimization, which is a particular website. This web site was created for the sole purpose of implementing and testing all the main SEO techniques. The main objective of this article was to determine whether search engine optimization increases ranking of website in search results and subsequently leads to higher traffic. This research question is supported by testing and verification of results. The last part of our article concludes the research results and proposes further recommendations.

Website Lelangyuk adalah platform lelang berbasis website yang menyediakan tempat untuk bertransaksi secara online. Namun pengunjung pada website Lelangyuk masih sangat kurang sehingga perlu melakukan peningkatan ranking SERP pada website Lelangyuk. Implementasi search engine optimization (SEO) dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ranking SERP website Lelangyuk dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang telah ditentukan. Search engine optimization (SEO) yang digunakan adalah metode SEO On Page, dimana pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan melakukan pengamatan pada website Lelangyuk menggunakan bantuan beberapa tools seperti Google Analytics, SEO Site Checkup, dan SERPROBOT untuk mengukur hasil sebelum dan sesudah implementasi. Setelah melakukan implementasi SEO website mengalami peningkatan nilai SEO dari 67/100 menjadi 79/100, namun masih belum terjadi peningkatan ranking SERP pada website berdasarkan kata kunci tertentu. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah implementasi metode search engine optimization (SEO) On Page pada website Lelangyuk tidak optimal untuk meningkatkan ranking SERP.

the current era, people's interest in using the internet is getting higher, this is because internet media has become an informative tool that can be accessed at any time. In searching for information, internet users usually use search engines. One of them is Google, the most widely used search engine. To find information in the Google search engine, we must use keywords. With SEO technique the website will be easy to find. A website optimization based on keywords, its implementation using On-page SEO and Off-page SEO mechanisms. On-page SEO is changing web pages according to the target keywords. By paying attention to important elements such as meta title, meta description, heading tags, text format, alt text, content, robot.txt, and sitemap.xml. Off-page SEO is a method that is carried out outside the website, creating relevant backlinks to the targeted website. This method can make the website as an organic promotional medium that brings traffic. In this research applying the concept of SEO both On-page and Off-page, the results obtained that there was a significant increase in traffic and based on the results of using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) with five aspects of component quality, this SEO support system can help in analyzing the website and as many as 82.3% of respondents said that the system built was very good

The presence of the internet has changed the practice of journalistic activities in the mass media, especially cyber media. Cyber media editorial policies have also adjusted to the advancement of information technology by utilizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The implementation of SEO techniques in journalistic activities in cyber media is very necessary so that cyber media can survive and make it easier for the community to get information that suits their needs. Currently, cyber media has a higher attention in search engines because today's internet users will search for information through search engines every day. The purpose of this study is to find out the editorial policy of Pojoksatu.id cyber media in implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in carrying out journalistic activities. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive nature and using the case study method. The results of the study show that the editorial policy of implementing SEO in news production in Pojoksatu.id still prioritizes journalistic principles. The resulting news products combine the needs of readers and utilize search engine technology in a balanced manner. The implementation of SEO in Pojoksatu.id includes three things. First, crawling is an automated process to collect and index data from various sources so that the news produced can be automatically read by search engines. Second, pay attention to the availability of adequate equipment so that journalistic activities can be carried out optimally and the news made by journalists can be on page one. Third, policies related to human resource development and editorial, Pojoksatu.id management continuously provides training to journalists and editors to be able to write news in accordance with SEO. Journalists and editors must be able to apply the right keywords in the news to be indexed by search engines and spread news links to social media.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is an important internet marketing strategy and process that facilitates maximizing an intended website’s visibility with search engine results. It is widely employed nowadays to improve traffic volume or quality from search engines to a particular website. Even though a significant number of publications imply the essential aspects of SEO, only a few provide generalized ideas to deal with the complex structure of the web. Also, the critical issues of content quality, site popularity, keyword density, and publicity factors were not much considered in the traditional ranking algorithms during SEO processes. This has negatively influenced the retrieval rate in the existing SEO techniques, and consequently, inadequate search results were obtained through search engines. Hence, the study considers web page ranking as a theoretical basis for the research and addresses these limitations in the existing system. It further improves SEO performance by introducing a unique web-page ranking strategic design to gain higher page rank results. The results of the investigational study show that the proposed system effectively contributes towards SEO with an improved page ranking strategy and also provides higher accuracy in calculating the importance score of web pages which is comparable with popular ranking algorithms such as hyperlink-induced topic search (HITS) and PageRank.

It is the objective of this paper to re-present black hat SEO technique as an unprofessional but profitable method of converting website users to customers. This study uses multiple firms as cases to illustrate how SEO initiatives can impact performance for SMEs. The authors found that in addition to increasing the rankings on SERPs, SMEs saw an increase in number of visitors to the site, the average time duration of users visiting the site, more user engagement and an increase of annual sales revenue.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to estimate Google search engine’s ranking function from a search engine optimization (SEO) perspective. Design/methodology/approach – The paper proposed an estimation function that defines the query match score of a search result as the weighted sum of scores from a limited set of factors. The search results for a query are re-ranked according to the query match scores. The effectiveness was measured by comparing the new ranks with the original ranks of search results. Findings – The proposed method achieved the best SEO effectiveness when using the top 20 search results for a query. The empirical results reveal that PageRank (PR) is the dominant factor in Google ranking function. The title follows as the second most important, and the snippet and the URL have roughly equal importance with variations among queries. Research limitations/implications – This study considered a limited set of ranking factors. The empirical results reveal that SEO effectiveness can be assessed by a simple estimation of ranking function even when the ranks of the new and original result sets are quite dissimilar. Practical implications – The findings indicate that web marketers should pay particular attention to a webpage’s PR, and then place the keyword in URL, the page title, and snippet. Originality/value – There have been ongoing concerns about how to formulate a simple strategy that can help a website get ranked higher in search engines. This study provides web marketers much needed empirical evidence about a simple way to foresee the ranking success of an SEO effort.

The Qualitative study is aimed at understanding the level of awareness, challenges, and perceptions surrounding the adoption of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), integration of SEO Techniques with social media pages and websites among small-scale entrepreneurs in Chennai through a SEO Experts perspective. Using purposive sampling An open-ended interview of twenty five SEO experts was conducted and the Key themes were identified as perceived complexity and cost, misconceptions about social media's sufficiency, competitor’s influence, localized strategies, and the long-term benefits of SEO. Braun and Clarke’s (2006) six-phase Thematic Analysis was employed for the study to understand the patterns and themes. Pemahaman tentang strategi SEO yang efektif sangat penting untuk menempatkan website di posisi teratas hasil mesin pencari, yang berdampak pada peningkatan visibilitas digital dan promosi secara efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode PRISMA dengan menganalisis artikel yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2021 hingga 2025 dari delapan basis data akademik internasional. Dari total 92.443 artikel dengan kata kunci "Search Engine Optimization" dan 9.728 artikel dengan kata kunci "Implementasi Search Engine Optimization", dilakukan penyaringan hingga diperoleh 30 artikel jurnal terpilih. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 93% implementasi SEO diterapkan pada platform website, sedangkan hanya 7% pada marketplace. Pendekatan eksperimen menjadi yang paling banyak digunakan (80%) karena mampu memberikan pengukuran langsung terhadap efektivitas strategi melalui indikator kinerja yang jelas dan dapat diobservasi. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memberikan rekomendasi strategi SEO yang terukur dan efektif bagi akademisi maupun praktisi digital marketing untuk meningkatkan kinerja situs web secara signifikan.

Search engine optimization (SEO) can enhance an article’s visibility on Google search, increase a news site’s search ranking, and drive audience traffic. Journalists are expected to possess SEO as a vital skill, even though each publication might have its unique approach. It is challenging to see what aspects of SEO are interesting for news sites and which aspects of it should be prioritized in content creation. This study explores the potential of SEO algorithms to increase traffic to news sites and analyze the relationship between Google’s algorithmic prioritization of content and audience engagement, as well as their impact on audience behavior towards specific content. This research shows how search-engine-optimized content drives significant audience traffic and presents the correlations between optimization solutions, audience traffic metrics, and audience engagement factors in sports news sites from Romania. The study focuses on sports news sites as content-specific sites and employs content optimization factors for Google as analysis criteria. In conclusion, this study indicates that optimizing content for search engines does not always result in significant traffic for sports news sites. The findings indicate that sports news sites prioritize off-page SEO and their profile of links over on-page or technical SEO.

The subject of research in the article is machine learning models for classifying web-pages by quality and compliance with SEO rules. The goal of the article is improving the efficiency of search engines by establishing and using factors that have the greatest impact on the degree of SEO optimization of web pages. The article solves the following tasks: study of the effectiveness of using machine learning methods to build a classification model that automatically classifies web pages according to the degree of adaptation to SEO optimization recommendations; assessment of the influence of relevant page factors (text on a web page, text in meta tags, links, image, HTML code) on the degree of SEO optimization using the developed classification models. The following methods are used: machine learning methods, classification methods and statistical methods. The following results were obtained: analysis of the effectiveness of the application of machine learning methods to determine the degree of adaptation of a web page to SEO recommendations was carried out; classifiers were trained on a data set of web pages randomly selected from the DMOZ catalog and rated by three independent SEO experts in the categories: “low SEO”, “medium SEO” and “high SEO”; five main classifiers were tested (decision trees, naive Bayes, logistic regression, KNN and SVM), on the basis of which it was revealed that all the studied models received greater accuracy (from 54.69% to 69.67%) than the accuracy of the baseline (48.83%); the results of the experiments confirm the hypothesis about the effectiveness of adapting web pages to SEO recommendations using classification algorithms based on machine learning. Conclusions. It was confirmed that with the help of classification algorithms built on the basis of machine learning and the knowledge of experts, it is possible to effectively adjust web pages to SEO recommendations. The considered methods can be adapted for various search engines and applicable to different languages, provided that a stamping or lemmatization algorithm has been developed for them. The results of the study can be used in the development of automated software to support the work of SEO in audit technologies to identify web pages in need of optimization and in spam detection processes.

This research aims to optimize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to increase the visibility of Islamic financial institution products on the internet. With a quantitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes the effectiveness of SEO implementation using secondary data obtained from SEO analysis tools such as Google Keyword Planner and SEMrush. The data collected includes keyword search volume, difficulty level, as well as backlinks and technical SEO performance (page speed and mobile optimization). Descriptive statistical techniques are used to describe SEO trends, while correlation analysis evaluates the relationship between SEO variables and the digital visibility of Islamic financial institutions. The research results show that comprehensive SEO implementation including on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and technical SEO is able to increase website rankings in search engines, increase organic traffic, brand awareness, and customer conversions. The case example of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) illustrates how keyword optimization and quality backlinks contribute significantly to increasing digital visibility. These findings indicate that Islamic financial institutions in Indonesia can take advantage of search trends that are still low in competition to strengthen their position in search engines, through an integrated and well-targeted SEO strategy.

It is widely employed nowadays to improve traffic volume or quality from search engines to a particular website. Even though a significant number of publications imply the essential aspects of SEO, only a few provide generalized ideas to deal with the complex structure of the web. Also, the critical issues of content quality, site popularity, keyword density, and publicity factors were not much considered in the traditional ranking algorithms during SEO processes. This has negatively influenced the retrieval rate in the existing SEO techniques, and consequently, inadequate search results were obtained through search engines. Hence, the study considers web page ranking as a theoretical basis for the research and addresses these limitations in the existing system. It further improves SEO performance by introducing a unique web-page ranking strategic design to gain higher page rank results. The results of the investigational study show that the proposed system effectively contributes towards SEO with an improved page ranking strategy and also provides higher accuracy in calculating the importance score of web pages which is comparable with popular ranking algorithms such as hyperlink-induced topic search (HITS) and PageRank.&lt;/span&gt;
