The temperature dependence of the reactions of halogen atoms Cl and Br with SiH4 and (CH3)3SiH have been investigated with the flash photolysis-resonance fluorescence technique. A nucleophilic cleavage reaction of 2,2,5,5,8,8-hexamethyl-2,5,8-trisilanona-3,6-diyne, I, with several bases, occurs rapidly at room temperature in both polar and non-polar solvents. An attack occurs exclusively at the central silicon regardless of the steric requirements of the bases (alkyllithium). The major products from the reaction of I with tert-butyllithium followed by hydrolysis were 2,2,5,5,6,6-hexamethyl-2,5-disilahepta-3-yne, II, and 2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-2,5-disilahexa-3-yne, VI.

Vinyltrialkoxysilanes are grafted onto polyolefins via a radical mechanism; in a subsequent step, the pendant alkoxysilanes hydrolyze and condense upon exposure to water, resulting formation of crosslinks. Evidence is presented that apparent silene products obtained from the metalation of cyclopentadienyldimethyl - chlorosilane either with tert-butyl1ithium or with methylenetriphenylphosphorane actually arise from the metalated starting material, a silenoid, rather than from a silafulvene intermediate. Trimethylmethoxysi1ane is shown to be an effective trap for dimethylsilafulvene. A new dimethylsilafulvene precursor, bis(dimethylmethoxysi1yl) cyclopentadiene, which gives high yields of dimethyldimethoxysi1ane and the silafulvene at temperatures as low as 240°C is reported.

Abstract:

Silagens de milho inoculadas com Lactobacillus buchneri são mais estáveis quando expostos ao ar. No entanto, os benefícios dessa inoculação são dosedependentes e o incremento de ácido acético nas silagens pode culminar em menor consumo de ração. Dessa forma, o objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de doses de inoculação com L. buchneri nas características de silagens de milho e elucidar as implicações do seu fornecimento como volumoso exclusivo para vacas leiteiras.
