Abstract:
Ag thin film growth on ZnO substrates has been investigated theoretically using multi-timescale simulation methods. The models are based on an atomistic approach where the interactions between atoms are treated classically using a mixture of fixed and variable charge potential energy functions. After some preliminary tests it was found that existing fixed charge potential functions were unreliable for surface growth simulations. This resulted in the development of a ReaxFF variable charge potential fitted to Ag/ZnO surface interactions. Ab initio models of simple crystal structures and surface

Bacterial infection is a growing concern in hospital and community settings, where the issue of biofilms is a major problem. Porous silicon dioxide thin films were produced via dip-coating and doped with Ag+ by adding AgNO3 to the dipping solution. Nanoparticles were formed within the pores of these films by UV exposure. Nanoparticle formation was confirmed by UV-visible spectroscopy and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Conductive Atomic Force Microscopy (CAFM) showed that the conductivity of the films decreased upon exposure to UV. This decrease in the conductivity is most likely due to the clustering of charge carriers. Initially, Ag+ ions are attached to negatively charged pore walls in a dense packing net

With a mesh structure, it can be served as a micro heater with both good transparency and high thermal/electrical conductivity. Due to the percolative effect of AgNWs, through inkjet process, the number density of AgNWs per unit area can also be effectively controlled, which can affect the local resistance directly. This creates the possibility to design the desired gradient heater, heater array, and patterned heater. Sedime

Based on the data from published papers and results the of experiments the preparation and characterisation of the silver nanowire-based transparent conductive thin film has been analysed and presented. The experiments shows that the sliver nanowires has great electrical properties and extensibility in transparent conductive film. Therefore, the increase demand of various products applying sliver nanowires, has turned such material in to potential

Thus, new technology beyond conventional 2D printing methods is needed. In this study, we develop a simple and fast water transfer method to fabricate conductive thin film patterns on curvilinear surfaces. To create closely packed thin films over water surface, conductive nanoplates with controlled quality and sizes are needed. To quickly produce such nanomaterials, crystalline silver nanoplates with a dimension of 700 nm
