The objective of this study was to evaluate the morphological parameters and bioactive compounds (antioxidant activity, total polyphenol, flavonoid, and phenolic acid content) of 6 genotypes of dry Asimina triloba (L.) fruit from Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia). Genotypes were obtained from the seeds that were sown in the year 2000. Their morphometric parameters were following: fruit weight from 59.00 to 241.19 g, fruit length from 50.14 to 140.11 mm, fruit diameter from 37.55 to 64.67 mm, number of fruits per cluster from 2 to 8, seed weight from 0.06 to 1.80 g, seed leng

Once every few years there is a necessity to measure the transverse profiles of watercourses within the water management of the Slovak Republic. These are particularly important for the creation of 3D models of watercourses, which aresubsequently used to delineate floodplains or as a means of simulating the maximum possible water flow through a given watercourse. However, the current method of data collection for creating these 3D models is very lengthy and inefficient. Thus, this research is concerned with the design of a new method of data collection for the creation of 3D models, specifical

A set of 49 chickpea accessions maintained in the collection of the Genebank of the Slovak Republic was analyzed using microsatellite markers. The level of genetic diversity and the effectivity of new germplasm acquisition for the collection enrichment were evaluated. Five primer pairs used generated 50 different amplified alleles. Four of them, TA2, TA5, TR1, and TR7, containing a long TAA-tandem repeat, were polymorphic with 11–13 alleles per locus. Abstract The paper describes methodology for creating a Slovak database of speech under stress and pilot observations. While the relationship between stress and speech characteristics can be utilized in a wide domain of speech technology applications, its research suffers from the lack of suitable databases, particularly in conversational speech. We propose a novel procedure to record acted speech in the home of actors and using their own smartphones. We describe both the collection of speech material under three levels of stress and the subsequent annotation of stress levels in this material.
