Abstract:
This study used all-journal data and systematic random sampling data to primarily determine the average number of issues per year and the average number of articles per issue among the Science Citation Index (SCI), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) (China), and Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) (China) journals. The random sampling data were based on 5% SCI and SSCI samples and 10% CSCD and CSSCI samples. The objectives were to have a 2018–2019 record of the journal publication frequency detailing the number of articles per issue and the number of issues per year for the journals on the lists, as well as to compare Chinese journals’ data with those of international journals, in the perspective of scholarly publishing transformations in the world as well as in China during the past two decades. The study found that the average number of issues per year for SCI, SSCI, CSCD, and CSSCI journals was 10.95, 5.18, 9.17, and 7.87, respectively, and that CSCD/CSSCI journals publish more articles than SCI/SSCI, with CSSCI journals publishing significantly more articles per year than SSCI journals. The author fees for non-OA journals in China could play a role in the higher number of articles. The “mega journal” phenomenon does not seem to be a common practice among all the journal lists studied.

В этом исследовании использовались все журнальные данные и их систематический случайный отбор, чтобы в первую очередь определиться со средним числом выпусков в год и средним числом статей в выпуске у журналов в Указателе библиографических ссылок в научной литературе (the Science Citation Index SCI), Указателе библиографических ссылок в научной литературе по общественным наукам (the Social Sciences Citation Index SSCI), Китайской базе данных научного цитирования (Chinese Science Citation Database - CSCD, Китай) и Китайском указателе библиографических ссылок в научной литературе по общественным наукам (the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index - CSSCI, Китай).

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to provide a bibliometric study of journal articles related to institutional repositories in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) between January 1993 and August 2017. This study will provide researchers with a foundation for further research. Design/methodology/approach In this study, articles published were analyzed; titles were searched using the term “institutional repositories.” The data were evaluated in response to four research questions on the following topics: publication trends, prolific authors, core journals and times cited. Findings The results indicate that 124 articles on institutional repositories were authored by 223 individuals. These articles were cited 722 times in 37 journals, and the h-index provided by the Web of Science was 14. Research limitations/implications This study only investigated articles titled with institutional repositories in the SSCI. Other items were not included. Practical implications This study shows that the implementation of institutional repositories has been limited to library and information science. If they can be used broadly in different disciplines, a better outcome can be expected. Social implications Based on the findings, the growth of institutional repositories as an academic subject is likely to continue. If such discussions can be conducted in other disciplines, institutional repositories may be able to provide a more promising outcome to academia. Originality/value This paper is valuable for researchers who wish to examine the trends of institutional repositories in the SSCI and seek possible areas for further research.

Abstract:
The conceptual structure of opioids, based on the bibliometric analysis of 4,935 articles of the Web of Science using the following indices: Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Conference Proceedings Citation Index—Science (CPCI-S), Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science and Humanities (CPCI-SSH), Book Citation Index—Science (BKCI-S), Book Citation Index—Social Sciences and Humanities (BKCI-SSH) and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), was constructed. We analyzed the available articles with the words “Opioids” and “Cancer.” We show the evolution and the state of the art in countries where these treatments are implemented. The results were processed identifying the most cited articles to extract the main connections and frequencies of keywords, authors, journals, countries, institutions, and their tendencies and their connection and degree of collaboration. The temporal tendencies, the word cloud, the keyword network, the evolution of words, author's production, and the scientific production by country are analyzed in terms of the increasing frequency in which opioids are employed to treat both cancerous and non-cancerous pain.

Abstract:
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data analysis algorithms is complementary to theory-driven analysis approaches and becoming more popular also in social sciences. This paper describes the use of Big Data and computational approaches in social sciences by bibliometric analyses of articles indexed between 2015 and 2020 in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) of the Web of Science repository. We have analysed especially the recent research direction called Computational Social Sciences (CSS) that bridges computer analytical approaches with social science challenges, generating new methodologies of Big Data and AI analytics for social sciences. The results indicate that AI and Big Data practices are not confined to CSS only and are diffused in a wide variety of disciplines under Social Sciences and are made use of in many main research lines as well. Thus, the anticipated overlap between the Social Sciences & AI specialization and CSS has yet to be crystallised. Moreover, the impact of computational social science studies is not permeated to social science citation networks yet. Lastly, we demonstrate that the AI and Big Data publications that appear under the SSCI index are more oriented towards computational studies than addressing social science concepts, concerns, and challenges.

Abstract:
Abstract SCI-E and SSCI are one of the main citation databases (CDB) in the world in the field of natural and applied (SCI-E) and social (SSCI) scientific disciplines. In 2014, within the SCIE all scientific fields of natural and applied science disciplines are classified into 176 categories, and within SSCI all scientific fields of social science disciplines are classified into 56 categories. Scientific journals in the field of “Economic Sciences” are sorted within the SSCI in 8 (eight) categories, plus one category within the SCI-E. The aim of the paper is to show the state and analysis of scientific journals indexed in SSCI and SCI-E citation databases (CDB) for 9 (nine) listed categories in the field of “Economic Sciences” for the period 1995-2014. The number of different scientific journals for 9 (nine) listed categories in the field of “Economic Sciences” for a period of 1997-2014, increased for 455 journals (from 415 journals in 1995 to 860 journals in 2014) with cumulative growth index (CGI) of 207,23% compared to 1997. Best ranked category among the nine listed categories in the field of “Economic Sciences” was the category “Economics” (Econ), which according to the number of journals for the entire period 1995-2014 was always ranked first (top-one) within SSCI. The largest increase in the number of scientific journals for the period 1995-2014 for all nine listed categories in the field of “Economic Sciences” had the category “Management” (Manag).

Abstract:
Background: Pain, a critical symptom prevalent in various diseases and syndromes, has garnered increased attention in recent scientific literature. Bibliometric analyses can offer valuable multi-disciplinary insights into pain. This bibliometric analysis focused on journals with “pain” in their titles. Methods: Using the Master Journal List in the Web of Science (WoS) database (up to December 31, 2024), we searched all the journals indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) or Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) with “pain” in their titles. For further analyses, we extracted data about the journals including publisher, country, language, frequency, SCIE/SSCI categories, journal impact factor, and citation. Results: We identified 19 journals with “pain” in their titles. All the included journals were indexed in SCIE, with Pain Management Nursing also indexed in SSCI. More than half of the journals were published in the United States of America or the United Kingdom, and all were in English. Regarding the SCIE categories, 13 journals were listed in “clinical neurology,” 8 in “anesthesiology,” and 5 in “neurosciences.” From 2018 to 2022, either Pain or Journal of Headache and Pain maintained the highest impact factor. Furthermore, Pain held the record for the most citable articles and reviews and the most total citations in 2022. Conclusion: This study is the first bibliometric analysis of journals, rather than articles, in the field of pain. Pain is the most recognized journal in the field, with the highest number of citations and the highest average impact factor. In the future, bibliometric studies should explore other relevant journals without the word “pain” in their titles, in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the scientific literature on pain studies.

Abstract:
The study analysed Croatian journals covered by Web of Science (WoS) Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) over three time periods. The first two periods were the periods of inclusion of Croatian journals in SCIE/SSCI, and the third period was the period of exclusion of journals. In 1999, there were 12 Croatian journals indexed, and in 2011, mostly as a result of the WoS Regional Expansion Programme, there were 50 Croatian journals covered by SCIE/SSCI. The IF range of the Croatian journals showed an increase over the years from 1999 to 2011, but most journals remained in the fourth quartile (Q4). Although Croatia is considered as a country from the scientific periphery, in comparison with neighbouring Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, and Serbia in 2005, 2011, and 2018, Croatia had a permanently strong journal representation in JCR.

Abstract:
Journal articles constitute the core documents for the diffusion of knowledge in the natural sciences. It has been argued that the same is not true for the social sciences and humanities where knowledge is more often disseminated in monographs that are not indexed in the journal-based databases used for bibliometric analysis. Previous studies have made only partial assessments of the role played by both serials and other types of literature. The importance of journal literature in the various scientific fields has therefore not been systematically characterized. The authors address this issue by providing a systematic measurement of the role played by journal literature in the building of knowledge in both the natural sciences and engineering and the social sciences and humanities. Using citation data from the CD-ROM versions of the Science Citation Index (SCI), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) databases from 1981 to 2000 (Thomson ISI, Philadelphia, PA), the authors quantify the share of citations to both serials and other types of literature. Variations in time and between fields are also analyzed. The results show that journal literature is increasingly important in the natural and social sciences, but that its role in the humanities is stagnant and has even tended to diminish slightly in the 1990s. Journal literature accounts for less than 50% of the citations in several disciplines of the social sciences and humanities; hence, special care should be used when using bibliometric indicators that rely only on journal literature

Abstract:
Digital management on sport (DMS) has become a hot topic around sports management. However, a more comprehensive and in-depth investigation into the structure and progression of this field is necessary. We used CiteSpace software to conduct a bibliometric analysis, revealing dynamic patterns in the evolution of co-citation, collaboration, and keyword co-occurrence within this field. Data gathers from the Web of Science Core Collection, which includes Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED), and SCOPUS. Published works in this field have shown a consistent upward trend since 2013. England institutions are leading the way in cooperation, while the US is the most collaborative region with different priorities for collaboration in various topics. The most influential author is the one who receives the most citations, but unfortunately, the most frequently co-cited author shows “ANONYMOUS.” Highly cited journals typically exert a substantial influence. Additionally, further study is expected to concentrate on efficacy and validation. Since 2018, the growth in publications on DMS reflects increasing academic interest. Australia’s institutions lead in collaboration, though international cooperation is limited. High co-citation authors hold significant influence and research focuses on management, social media, and physical activity.

The aim of the research is to determine the studies conducted on the aviation sector and sustainable concepts at the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) level, to evaluate the number and effectiveness of Turkish publications, to identify gaps in the literature and to make suggestions for new studies. The bibliometric analysis method was used in the research. The research was analyzed using the content taken from the Web Of Science database, which is the bibtex size extension of the R 4.2.2 package program. The concepts of "aviation" and "sustainability" were evaluated to collect data. 1,046 studies were accessed in the Web of Science database. 404 English articles included in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) index between 2010 and 2023 were selected. It is seen that the research on concepts was conducted in 2022 with the highest number of works with 84 works, and the average number of citations to the studies was 12.88. Among the publications on concepts, there are 4 articles that fall into the Turkey-centered review category. This determined situation indicates that there is not enough interest in sustainability issues in the aviation field in Turkey. There are very few works on aviation and sustainability concepts in our country. This situation shows that academic interest is very insufficient. It is considered extremely important for the sustainable future of the aviation sector that such current concepts are addressed in the international literature and that researchers show interest in this subject.

Abstract The usage data provided by Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) implies the scholarly interest of researchers through full text accesses and record saves on the platform. The WoS usage count has been studied for journal papers alongside citations at different levels of journal, country, and field. To extend the results of the previous studies, this study explores the WoS usage counts for book literature in the Book Citation Index (BKCI) to determine the usefulness of the usage statistics provided by the new data source and their different patterns across fields as well as document types. The correlations between WoS citations and usage counts are from weak to moderate in six selected fields. Edited books have stronger correlations between the two metrics than the other two document type groups. Usage data of aggregated book volumes in the sciences correlate with citations significantly and show higher utilization rates than citations. Their usage counts on the same platform are the supplement of WoS citations in the fields. In contrast, book publications in the social sciences and humanities (SSH) present a different pattern of their usage to reduce its ability to coordinate citations. In addition, the low usage of books in SSH may indicate the limited access of the BKCI-SSH and probably lower effectiveness of its usage data compared to the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). However, the further investigation of altmetric usage metrics from different sources confirms an overall lower usage for books in the social sciences than in the sciences.

Abstract:
The article explores bibliometric features of the Serbian psychology journal Psihologija in the 2001-2012 period. Several basic indicators of the journal?s impact were generated and compared between two periods, before and after 2007 when Psihologija was included in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). Journal?s output was evaluated in regard to other psychology journals included in SSCI in the same year. The results have shown that Psihologija?s impact factor has raised following the increased internationalization of the journal, quantified as the proportion of articles published in English and/or written by foreign authors. However, Psihologija and other South East European (SEE) journals still lack a solid international communication network, which is reflected in the absence of related journals and large proportion of citations from local authors. The article concludes with several suggestions for authors, journal editors, and science policy institutions.

Abstract:
The study of ecosystem services (ES) is becoming increasingly popular, as it plays an important role in human wellbeing, economic growth, and livelihoods. The primary goal of this research is to investigate the global trend in ES research using a rigorous systematic review of highly cited articles. The articles for this study were extracted from Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) databases of Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) covering the period from 2000 to 2020. This study was limited to SCI-E, ESCI, and SSCI databases of the Web of Science. The term “ecosystem service/s” has been used as a research term to filter the study sample and eliminate other databases from the analysis. A citation level equal to or greater than 200 was used to further filtration of articles. This query could restrict to 128 articles that are highly cited in the selected period. Bibliometric analysis results show that, according to the author’s keywords, the “ecosystem service/s” keyword is highly connected to the “biodiversity”, “valuation”, “marine spatial planning”, and “conservation planning”. The U.S.A., Canada, China, France, and Australia are the leading countries in the cumulative number of highly cited articles and networks of co-authors. The U.S.A. is a strong contributor to ES research with China, Canada, and France. The most productive universities linked to the United States were the University of Minnesota, the University of California-Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara), and the Chinese Academy of Science. The most significant and compelling author is Halpern S Benjamin, who represents UC Santa Barbara. He has earned international recognition for a model he developed to analyze global data sets of anthropogenic drivers of ecological change in marine environments. The most accessed and studied fields in the ES are terrestrial, urban, and marine environments.

Full text
Abstract:
Nowadays, how to reduce carbon emissions is a hot issue in environmental economics research, and countries around the world are having extensive discussions on their respective carbon emission obligations. The embodied carbon contained in international trade plays a crucial role in controlling pollutant emissions but it is often overlooked, resulting in problems such as carbon displacement and avoidance of responsibility for pollutant emissions. Based on the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) database, this paper adopts a bibliometric method to summarize 626 papers from 1994 to 2023 in six aspects, including the number of the literature, the literature citations, research region, journal, author, and research discipline. Meanwhile, the research method and model used in the collected papers are classified and reviewed. Then, this study briefly outlines the current status of embodied carbon emissions and the international pollutant identification laws and analyzes the shortcomings of existing research and the rationality of responsibility identification principles. Finally, we propose future research hotspots by combining carbon neutrality and carbon trading theory.

AbstractThis paper reviews the studies of Japanese society and culture undertaken by Hong Kong-based sociologists and scholars in related disciplines. It presents information on research projects funded by the Research Grants Council, Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) journal articles, authored and edited books, book chapters, non-SSCI and non-A&HCI journal articles, as well as master and doctoral theses written by scholars and graduate students associated with Hong Kong's major universities. It is found that the main topics of research are Japan's capitalist development and corporate growth, meanings and social ramifications of traditional and popular culture, education, gender, and marriage, as well as aspects of work and employment, whereas the major research methods include document analysis, ethnography, and in-depth interviews. The limited amount of research and the preoccupation with economic development and popular culture reflect in part Hong Kong's unique political conditions and the government's indifference to the pursuit of social and political policy analysis. In recent years, the growth of academic exchanges between scholars in Hong Kong, Japan, and other East Asian regions and the heightened emphasis by university administrators on academic research will hopefully bring about advancements in such academic endeavors.

Abstract:
Purpose: This review demonstrates how to position Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) papers reasonably in order to promote the reform and development of the system for evaluating social sciences research (E-SSR) in China. Design/Approach/Methods: This review examines the contributions made by SSCI papers after such papers became a tool in the E-SSR system in Chinese universities, and the resultant issues. This review analyzes documents pertaining to the E-SSR systems of more than 50 world-class universities with consideration to the inherent characteristics and historical mission of social sciences research in China. The findings serve as the basis from which to examine the future trends in the reform of the E-SSR system in Chinese universities. Findings: The application of SSCI papers as an E-SSR tool is not common in world-class universities. To date, the reform of the E-SSR system in Chinese universities has involved: (i) establishing a pluralistic evaluation mechanism, with equal importance placed on SSCI papers and other research achievements; (ii) emphasizing the need for caution in using SSCI papers as an E-SSR tool and instituting distinct treatments for various disciplines; (iii) reducing the importance attached to journal language and ranking, while emphasizing innovation quality and practical contributions; and (iv) establishing China’s E-SSR standards in order to achieve an equilibrium between internationalization and localization. Originality/Value: This review argues that although SSCI papers constitute an indicator of E-SSR system, their importance must not be overstated. The main purpose of the E-SSR system is to facilitate the development of social sciences with a style and characteristics unique to China.

Abstract:
The article examines the number of contributions to scientific journals by authors from various OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries in 1998–2000 according to the commonly used ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) databases SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index), A&HCI (Arts and Humanities Citation Index) and SCI Expanded (Science Citation Index Expanded). The number of contributions per million inhabitants is related to the main language of the country, the gross domestic product per capita and whether a country is a former socialist country or not. The social sciences, the arts and humanities, and the natural sciences are studied separately. It turns out that there is a tendency for a higher publication rate for English-language countries, slightly lower for countries with small languages, and even smaller for countries with large non-English languages. This is consistent with the hypotheses that there is a bias in the data bases from the ISI such that English-language journals tend to be overrepresented, that scholars from English-language countries write almost exclusively in English, and that scholars from other countries tend to publish less in English and more in their domestic language the larger their domestic language. This calls for caution in using these databases for international comparisons of research activity.

Abstract:
Purpose – Journal quality and prestige are the main considerations for researchers, editors, and publishers when submitting manuscripts, citing papers, and developing publishing policies. Journal Citation Reports calculates the impact factor (IF) from journals covered in Social Science Citation Index (SSCI). IF is widely considered as an indicator of journal quality and prestige among business disciplines. Thus, researching what affects the IF is critical. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relation between journal features and the IF, particularly between “hot issues” and the IF, and categorizes journal rankings into top-ten and other journals. Design/methodology/approach – The research sample encompasses publications from 2003 to 2013, focussing specifically on SSCI journals in the categories of business and finance. The examined journal features are the effect of the newly selected as an SSCI journal, frequency of publication, self-citation ratio, citable items, and whether the journal features articles on relevant international economic topics. Findings – The findings are as follows: increasing the publishing frequencies of top-ten journals will elevate IF significantly, conversely, increasing that of other journals will degrade the expected IF; both top-ten and other journals with a high self-citation ratio have a low IF; and publishing papers on critical topics significantly positively affects the IF; however, the level of significance decreases over time. In summary, publishing research on critical topics significantly increases the IF in short term. Originality/value – The findings offer valuable information for researchers, editors, and publishers.

This study aims to reveal the extent to which language learning strategies (LLS) are studied, including the changing research trends, the most prominen t scholars working on LLS and the countries in which the articles are based on, citation analysis, global academic collaboration and emerging top research topics. The analysis of the related literature was carried out by employing a bibliometric analysis of the research and review papers indexed in the Web of Science databases: Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Social Sciences and Humanities and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) between 1977 and 2018. In this research, no separation was set from the research of language learning strategy (LLS) use as a native or non-native language. The results showed that there has been a booming interest in language learning strategy research over time. While the first study appeared in 1977, there were 383 LLS publications, most of which were in the field of education (%68.41) in the Web of Science (WoS) till 2018. The publications included articles, proceedings, book reviews, editorial material, review and meeting abstract. It was found that language learning strategy research focused mostly on individual learner variables such as motivation, gender, proficiency in English as a foreign language while most of those studies were carried out through Strategy Inventory of Language Learning (Oxford, 1990) by quantitative methodology. This is the first study reporting the landscape of global research tendencies and trends in LLS. This study contributes to the understanding of the overall LLS academic research and gives an insight into the past, today and future of the language studies.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study the progress of research on business research in India and identify the key disciplines, journals, articles, authors, and institutions. Design/methodology/approach – Bibliometric analysis using data for articles published from the ISI Web of Knowledge databases consisting of the ISI Web of Science (1899-present) consisting of Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-expanded), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI); BIOSIS Previews (1969-present); CABI: CAAAB Abstracts (1910-present); MEDLINE (1950-present); Zoological Record (1864-present); and Journal Citation Reports (1999-2008). Findings – There is growing number of research literature on the theme and more so post 2002. Among the journals, the most prolific, measured by number of articles published are Management Decision, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Harvard Business Review, and Journal of International Marketing and the top ten percent of the journals are responsible for 36 percent of all publications. Similarly the top seven authors are responsible for about 15 percent of all publications and the top ten institutions account for 30 percent of all publications. This highlights that few journals, authors, and institutions are dominating the research arena of business research in India. Research limitations/implications – Despite its high degree of objectivity, bibliometric analysis has a subjective dimension (Van Raan, 2003) since the researcher had to make choices on the search terms, the time period used, etc., and while the data set is comprehensive, is it not exhaustive as many new journals are not part of SSCI (Pillania and Fetscherin, 2009; Pillania, 2011). Practical implications – The study undertakes a multi-disciplinary review of literature on business research in India. It identifies the key disciplines, journals, articles, authors, and institutions on business research in India. It is a ready reference for practitioners and future researchers on the subject. Originality/value – This study has made an attempt to study and document the literature on business research in India.

Abstract:
In order to analyze the hot frontier of academic entrepreneurship and study the influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship, By using citespace V information visualization software and content analysis, 32 papers in CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) database are retrieved which are indexed by CSSCI (Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index), and 66 papers are retrieved in Web of Science database which are indexed by SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index); the Chinese and international sample papers were compared and analyzed, and a comparative analysis between Chinese and international papers was made. The results show that the influencing factors of academic entrepreneurship are divided into personal, environmental, and organizational factors. There are many researches on personal factors in China and external factors such as environment, organization, and system in international countries. Chinese research tends to the macrolevel, while international research pays more attention to the microlevel. The research frontier at home and abroad is the research of academic entrepreneurial process at microlevel. Finally, some suggestions are given to academic entrepreneurship: academic exchanges should be strengthened, more support platforms should be set up in university institutions, and the state should introduce incentive policies to enhance the strength and level of academic entrepreneurship.

Abstract:
<p class="JLDAbstract">This study examines studies on instructional design models by applying content analysis. It covers 113 papers published in 44 international Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) and Science Citation Index (SCI) journals. Studies on instructional design models are explored in terms of journal of publication, preferred model, country where the study was conducted, research method, data collection tool, data analysis method, sampling interval, and field in which the model was applied. Studies are also examined in terms of variables, focusing on connections with model used, relevant results, and orientation of the model (e.g., system-oriented, class-oriented, or product-oriented). Results identified the most preferred models as ADDIE, ARCS, Gagne and Briggs, 4C-ID, and Dick and Carey. System-based instructional design models were most common. These results show recent trends in instructional design models and will contribute to both researchers and instructional designers.</p>

Abstract:
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has affected not only physical health but also mental health and psychological wellbeing. This narrative review aimed to map the literature on the psychological impact on the young generation of the COVID-19 pandemic, social restrictions, and extraordinary measures to curb the spread of coronavirus. We performed a systematic search of MEDLINE through PubMed and Web of Science [Science Citation Index Expanded, SCI-EXPANDED), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)] of all scientific literature published from May 2020 until 15 March 2021. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 15 articles were included. We conducted a narrative review. The reviewed articles suggested the impact of the pandemic and lockdown measures on young persons for several mental symptoms as well as anxiety, stress, depression, event-specific distress, decrease in psychological wellbeing, and changes in sleep habits. Psychological symptoms were related to the experience of several stressors, such as risk for reduction of academic perspectives, massive e-learning adoption, economic issues, social restrictions, and implications for daily life related to the COVID-19 outbreak. This narrative review points out the negative psychological impact of the pandemic outbreak and the high vulnerability of the young in the development of psychological distress, highlighting the relevant focus on the mental health of young people during the pandemic and the need for structured and tailored psychological support and interventions focused to the improvement of Quality of Life of university students after the pandemic experience.

Abstract:
In this study we examine how the RBV has been included in IB research over the past twenty years using Barney's (1991) article as a key marker. Bibliometric techniques analyzing citations, co-citations and research themes delved into, were applied to the articles published between 1991 and 2010 in five leading IB journals. Data was collected from the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). We conclude that the RBV has been having an important impact on most of IB research themes and has been driving a large portion of current thought on the multinational corporations' strategies, location choices and internationalization. Although, we also find areas that have been explored to much lesser extent. In addition to identify the stock of accumulated knowledge, this study contributes to highlight areas for future inquiry on how IB studies may further benefit from an RBV-oriented perspective.

Abstract:
AbstractFootball is a popular sport on a global scale, and injuries sustained by football players have become a significant concern for sports physicians and researchers. Among these injuries, knee injuries are a commonly encountered problem in football players with long-term effects. This paper aims to perform a visual mapping and a bibliometric analysis of research on knee injuries in football, examining the current state and research trends. For this purpose, all publications from the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) within the Web of Science database were analysed. VOSviewer 1.6.18 was utilised for visualising bibliometric data. A total of 2159 publications were included in the study. The analysis covers publication year, authors, citation counts, and distributions among publishing journals. Authors, institutions, and international relationships were investigated, and keyword analysis, bibliometric coupling, and co-citation network analyses were conducted. The findings reveal that the United States and Australia are the countries with the highest number of publications. From 2018, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of publications. Citation and publication counts reached their peak in 2021. Turkey takes the 28th rank in terms of citation and centrality. The keywords “soccer,” “football,” “knee”, and “anterior cruciate ligament” were found to be intensively used with high centrality. In conclusion, visual mapping through bibliometric analysis highlights the magnitude and diversity of research in the field of knee injuries in football. It emphasises the need for further studies in this area for future researchers, shedding light on important research areas. Moreover, it provides insights into the prevention of such injuries in football players and the development of effective treatment strategies by fostering more knowledge and understanding of knee injuries.
