Energy-efficient information transmission may be relevant to biological sensory signal processing as well as to low-power electronic devices. We explore its consequences in two different regimes. In an “immediate” regime, we argue that the information rate should be maximized subject to a power constraint, and in an “exploratory” regime, the transmission rate per power cost should be maximized. In the absence of noise, discrete inputs are optimally encoded into Boltzmann distributed output symbols. In the exploratory regime, the partition function of this distribution is numerically equal to 1

This paper presents an efficient pipelined broadcasting algorithm with the inter-node transmission order change technique considering the communication status of processing nodes. The proposed method changes the transmission order for the broadcast operation based on the communication status of processing nodes. When a broadcast operation is received, a local bus checks the remaining pre-existing transmission data size of each processing node; it then transmits data according to the changed transmission order using the status information. Therefore, the synchronization time can be hidden for t

Abstract:
The prevalence and application of IT technology in accounting information system promotes the development of accounting information system in networking aspect. On one hand, the network-based accounting information system promotes the diversification of accounting information processing, transmission and query. But on the other hand, it results in accounting data security issues during accounting information processing, transmission and query process. B/S network model of accounting information system is one kind of network architecture which is raised as network development. The advantage of

Biological organisms rely on their ability to sense and respond appropriately to their environment. The molecular mechanisms that facilitate these essential processes are however subject to a range of random effects and stochastic processes, which jointly affect the reliability of information transmission between receptors and, for example, the physiological downstream response. Information is mathematically defined in terms of the entropy; and the extent of information flowing across an information channel or signalling system is typically measured by the ‘mutual information’, or the reductio

The use of centralized and decentralized electricity supply schemes, the introduction of feedback between the consumer of electricity and its producer led to a rapid increase in information flows at all stages of the functioning of the electricity industry of Ukraine, starting with the production of electricity and before its consumption. This necessitates the processing, storage and transmission of large data sets. On the other hand, the time constraints imposed on information processing and decision-making efficiency, as well as the limited bandwidth of communication networks require effecti
