The subject of this diploma thesis is the elaboration of project documentation for the construction of a new sports center with a specialization in the field of health technology. The building will be located in the town of Velké Meziříčí, on the street Školní and will be located on the plot 5917/16 with a total area of 17 820,2 m2. The total built-up area of the proposed building is 919,88 m2. The object is designed as stand-alone. It has a ragged shape, which consists of three adjoining rectangles, has two above ground floors with a partial basement. The building will be based on concrete foundation girders. The support system is chosen as a brick longitudinal with reinforcing walls. Perimeter masonry will be designed from cut ceramic blocks in above-ground floors and lost formwork in the basement. The ceiling structure consists of prestressed ceiling panels. The entire building is designed with a ventilated facade of two types of cement-bonded slabs. The grille of the ventilated facade will be made of glass fiber fiberglass. The roof of the building is designed as flat single-skinned. The building is designed for sports, including a sports bar and a clubhouse, which are open to the general public. There are 40 parking spaces, of which 3 for people with reduced mobility. During processing the emphasis was put on the appropriate layout, building-technical and architectural design and safe use of the building.

This thesis deals with the financial system of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The main area of interest are economic characteristics of the country, important sectors of the british economy, economic condition, and recession, which was started by the financial crisis. The thesis also concentrates on the very structure of the financial system of United Kingdom. The major part is mainly focused on financial institutions, specifically on the banking sector, including its historical development. In this thesis are described troubles of banking institutions after the outbreak of the financial crisis, also are described origins of these problems, their impact on the financial system and a many of measures that had to be established because of ensuring stabilization and protection of the brithis financial system. This thesis also deals with the insurance sector and british financial markets. The conclusion of this thesis describes the regulation and supervision in the United Kingdom and upcoming reform that will significantly changes the current structure of british regulation, the main aim is increased efficiency and prevent from repeating mistakes of the past.

The main task of this thesis was to create an architectural study of The Gallery of Brno Grand Prix based on previous urban study from previous semester works. The proposal is focused on the iconic circuit’s former glory restoration, on providing new content for raceway complex and creating decent and presentable place for the presentation of the rich history of Czech and Czechoslovak motorsport. The result is a study of an object that meets these needs while respecting the historical and morphological values of the place. The building creates new themed attraction and creates the potential for further development of near circuit.

This thesis describes the design of a project Family Winery VILARO in Velké Bílovice. It consists of two objects. The first is a guesthouse with a restaurant and the second is a production building with a tasting room. The guesthouse is submitted in the stage of building design. Production facility, a winery, is discussed further as the implementation project. The winery is located in a slightly sloped terrain. It has one partially cellared ground floor. The roof is atypical, one part is sloped triple-coated shed roof, second part is flat with stabilizing layer. The support systém mainly consists of brick blocks, ferroconcrete walls, ferroconcrete boards, ferroconcrete beam ceiling and prestressed concrete ceiling panels Spiroll. The project assumes using of typical building materials.

The subject of this thesis is the newly built Sport-relax center in Velké Meziříčí. The built will have two above ground. On the first floor will be a reception with a café and fitness center. Part of the fitness center will be a spinning hall and a small exercise room on the mats. On the second floor will be a sauna center, massages and a center for physiotherapists and nutrition counseling. Individual operations in a multifunctional house are selected with respect to the location. The town of Velké Meziříčí has launched a competition for the construction of this area by a sports-cultural house. For this reason, these sites are located in the house.

This master's thesis is about code ownership in software projects and creating a tool that would improve cooperation by identifying code owners. The theoretical foundation for code ownership starts from Extreme Programming, explaining models of code ownership and the impact of code ownership on cooperation among teams and team members. The concept is demonstrated on a concrete software firm, where a potential for improvement is identified. The potential is exploited by a software tool, which is designed in the this thesis. The tool is capable of identifying code owners and experts for specific areas in the code based on data gathered from a version control system. The resulting information is made easily accessible. The tool is used to conduct a code ownership research in several projects, which allows me to confirm accuracy of the results. Usability and benefits of the tool is discussed in the final chapter.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá Velkou hospodářskou krizí, která proběhla v letech 1929 až 1933/4. Světově proslulá deprese se projevila již v roce 1929 a prohlubovala se až do roku 1933, ve kterém dosáhla nejnižšího bodu v hospodářském cyklu. Jejími charakteristickými rysy byla deflační tendence, nezaměstnanost, snižování reálného produktu. Velká část československého obyvatelstva trpěla vysokou nezaměstnaností, ti šťastnější polozaměstnaností a nemožností si najít práci novou, zejména zemědělskému dělnictvu se snižovaly reálné mzdy a navíc zemědělské výrobky prodávali za stále se snižující ceny, v důsledku čehož žili na pokraji chudoby. Nepříznivá situace byla i v oblasti podnikání, zvyšovala se úroková míra a v průmyslovém odvětví docházelo zejména ke snižování množství vyrobené produkce. Krize zasáhla rovněž komerční banky a nepříznivý vývoj zaznamenávaly nejrůznější makroekonomické ukazatele. Práce obsahuje tři kapitoly, první kapitola popisuje průběh krize v Československu ve sféře zemědělské, průmyslové, situaci komerčních bank a monetární politiku, krizovou situaci v zaměstnanosti a průběh deprese v národním hospodářství jako celku. Druhá kapitola popisuje a analyzuje způsoby léčby krize a jejich důsledky. Tato kapitola obsahuje některé navrhované neuskutečněné způsoby léčby deprese a obsahuje jejich porovnání. Třetí kapitola je věnována pohledům a teoriím ekonomů.

S rostoucím množstvím shromažďovaných a ukládaných dat vzniká potřeba shlukovacích metod, které by se dokázaly vypořádat i s rozsáhlými datovými soubory. Proto se objevuje množství nových algoritmů, vycházejících jak ze statistických přístupů, tak i z oblasti strojového učení. Cílem této diplomové práce je stručně představit dostupné metody shlukové analýzy a zhodnotit jejich silné a slabé stránky při analýze velkých souborů. Obsahem teoretické části je shrnutí základních pojmů a principů, které jsou všem metodám společné, a popisu nejznámějších metod shlukové analýzy. Ten obsahuje stručné vysvětlení, na jakém principu fungují a jaké výhody nebo případné nedostatky můžeme při jejich použití očekávat. Praktická část práce je věnována vlastnímu testování osmi metod dostupných v komerčním (SPSS, S-PLUS, STATISTICA) nebo akademickém (Weka) softwaru. Pro testování jsou použity umělé soubory se specifickými charakteristikami, které jsem vygeneroval pomocí vlastního algoritmu. Ten je rozšířením Neyman-Scottova procesu a kromě sférických shluků generuje i shluky nepravidelných tvarů. Výsledky potvrzují očekávání vycházející z teoretických předpokladů. Přinášejí však možnost kvantifikace vlivu charakteru dat na vhodnost jednotlivých metod.

The work analyses an economic development of Czechoslovakia mainly during the thirties. The work deals with origins and consequences of the Great Depression, which is in most cases associated with the economic collapse in the United States after the stock market crash in October 1929. In most of other countries the business cycle was characterized by decline of product, deflation, record-breaking unemployment and had a destructive impact on economic, social and political arrangements. In Czechoslovakia the crisis hits all economic branches and under the pressure of the catastrophic results the economic policy changed. Economic recovery was slow and even at the end of the thirties most of the economic indicators were below their 1929 levels.

In this graduation thesis wants introduce possibilities of voice transportation in IP networks like Internet. There are described behaviors of IP network, internet connectivity possibilities, voice protocols included Skype and economical outputs. There are mapped positives and negatives of technology including implementation issues. All economic comparisons are made to Telefonica O2 Czech Republic Inc., which is still telecommunication company with majority in the Czech Republic. There are compared samples of VoIP providers with preferences like company live time, lowest cost and guaranteed quality. Description starts with model situation and continues to real case studies. Case studies describe economic calculation, implementation and target analysis. There are three case studies: small company with fast migration in one time, medium company witch accelerated migration in two steps and large company with conservative and control migration in three steps.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the approach of the United Kingdom to immigration and integration of third country nationals. The analysis is joined by comparison with the situation and measures taken within the European Union. The paper depicts the development and changes of the EU integration policy and the current system of immigration policies in the United Kingdom. Attention is also drawn to the public opinion and perception of immigrants in the host societies. Since the 90s, the integration policies of the EU Member States seem to be converging to the "civic integration" model. Emphasis is placed on the individual integration of immigrants, but their group affiliation is also accepted. Integration has to be a two-way process, with efforts made by the immigrants as well as the host society. Despite that, it has rather become a precondition which has to be fulfilled by the immigrants in order to gain more rights. The United Kingdom is also starting to condition the admission and citizenship acquisition by fulfilling language and knowledge criteria, regarding the history, institutions and life in the country. Even though its integration policy is one of the most successful, the current steps raise doubts.

The thesis is devoted to an evaluation of social and economic benefit, which is produced by major international sport event. Particular costs and benefits of the alpine skiing World Cup competitions held in Czech Republic are described and evaluated, using standard tools of investment project evaluation. Applied procedure arises from CBA (cost benefit analysis) methodology. All important effects of the analysed sport event are expressed as an amount in the form of money. Based on the values of selected indicators is then pronounced a concluding verdict, if the project is acceptable or not.

The aim of the thesis is to assess the impact on the economy as a whole as well as on selected sectors. The first part introduces the causes and timeline of the crisis. The thesis then concetrates on the macroeconomic impact of the crisis on Great Britain, i.e. economic output, labour market, public finance, price development and balance of payments. The effect of the crisis on the construction industry and banking sector is analysed in the second part of the thesis. The final part aims to assess the measures of British government and central bank introduced during the crisis.

Britain's attitude towards the European integration has been an uneasy one since its' inception and it thus represents one of the spheres of British politics that has attracted the most attention and that has been one of the most divisive issues of the domestic politics. The British attitude has however responded to the dynamical development of the political integration in Europe. The aim of the thesis is to assess Britain's attitude towards the political integration in Europe and to prove that, despite its dynamical development, the elements of Euroscepticism prevail over the elements of Europeanization. With respect to the aim, the thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one explains the political integration and charts its development and defines the modern concept of Euroscepticism and Europeanization. The second chapter deals with Britain's attitude towards the European integration, its historical background and its development immediately after the Second World War. Substantial part of the chapter is devoted to the analysis of the British attitude towards the milestones of the political integration. The final chapter looks at the stance of the governments of Tony Blair and the current Conservative-led coalition on the political integration and compares them so as to study its development.

The current buildings (1987) do not meet the needs of riders, especially in European and world competitions. The proposed building is based on the technical design and logical design, which was formulated with the knowledge of the operation in the newly built premises for the F1 cars in the World.

The first section of this diploma thesis pursues an algorithm design of flood wave transformation in Excel software and its application afterwards. The software is used to design a small multipurpose reservoir. The algorithm covers consumption calculations of typical dam structures such as discharge structures, sluice planks, narrowed section of discharge pipes and safety spillways. The thesis also includes a mathematical model of water infiltration into the bottom of the inundation area and through the dam body. The last section of the thesis is dealing with an aesthetic integration of the whole structure into the local environment.

For the evaluation of the FEM ANSYS program was used. There are gradually presented optimization procedures for all four weight classes. There was established the persistence of forms and frame and at the end the conclusion of the technical-economic evaluation of the proposed forms in terms of material savings in comparison to the current state of production was made.

The study design includes a main directorate of the Grand Prix Brno. There are spaces designed for administration (office management circuit, meeting room, secretarial services, tec.), riders (relaxation room, garage), the commissioner and start providemaintenance and safe operation of the circuit, VIP lounges and media hall. Building is an oval dynamic shape, created of steel construction and skeleton with light cladding combined with fresh glass facade. Central part of object is designed in main axis of autodrome. Functional change in solved area was constituted by creating a corridor between main entrance into an areal, used by public. This corridor was connected with driveway to paddocks. The proposal is designed to meet safety criteria, but also manager to evoke good atmosphere of racers and visitors.

Diplomová práce se věnuje popisu a analýze chování institucí finančního sektoru, tj. komerčního a centrálního bankovnictví USA v období Velké hospodářské krize. Zkoumá faktory, které mohly společně zapříčinit bezprecedentní bankovní kolaps na začátku třicátých let. Cílem práce je nabídnout přehledný a srozumitelný obraz o tom, jak americký finanční systém a její instituce, zejména komerční banky, Federální rezervní systém a zlatý standard, fungovaly v době Velké hospodářské krize. Velký prostor je věnován roli, kterou během události sehrál Federální rezervní systém prostřednictvím své strategie během dvacátých let a v době krize. V souvislosti s Velkou hospodářskou krizí zůstává jednou z nejvíce diskutovaných témat role Federálního rezervního systému. Dále práce obsahuje analýzu jednotlivých vln bankovních krizí, a to jak z mikroekonomického, tak i z makroekonomického pohledu. Věnuje se též problematikám omezení ?branch bankingu?, bankovním panikám a ?uvěrové expanze?. The victory of the Conservatives in the 1979 General Election brought a government into office which is traditionally said to pursue a programme of economic liberalism. The new government was determined to end British economic decline and the crisis of state authority by making an ideological and political break with the policy of consensus. But it was only after September 1981, when "the dries" achieved dominance in Conservative Government and the new liberal policy finally prevailed. Their goals were to reduce the role of the government in economy, to start privatization of nationalised industries and to achieve reduction in the size and scope of welfare state. This objective became an important part of Thatcher's second- and third-term economic policy. This thesis describes how the particular factors influenced the privatization programmes. The main aim is to answer the question whether the delays in privatization programmes were given by objective obstruction by Thatcher's political opponents and interest groups or whether "the dries" themselves did not support denationalization of strategic industries. The privatization is examined and brought into context of fiscal and monetary policy to unveil the role of privatization in Thatcher's economic policy. The success of privatization is limited by regulations imposed on denationalized industries and the author of this thesis puts emphasis on the description of the extent to which the members of the conservative party supported free market. The author uses a description of various privatization programmes, including related political and economical discussions, to answer these questions. The thesis includes a description of popular capitalism and a connection between foreign policy and privatization as well as the author's evaluation of privatization program.

This thesis focuses on migration issues in an economic downturn. The first part deals with basic concepts and theories of migration. Attention is focused primarily on economic migration, which is closely linked to labor migration. The following general assumptions about the determinants and factors affecting migration in an economic downturn. Relationship between recessions and migration illustrated chapter on the history of financial crises. Another section is devoted to the economic situation of Great Britain and generally captures the nature of migration in the UK. Subsequent chapters deal with current and historical development of immigration policy in the UK. Attention is paid to work programs, the modifications led to the introduction of a new points system. Briefly outlined the basic steps taken in connection with the economic downturn. This work is also about the possible effects of immigration policy on migratory flows, in connection with the adopted amendments.

This thesis concerns banking and financial systems in the United States of America during the time of the Great Depression. In the first stage, I will focus on the Federal Reserve System's monetary policy and its expansive character. Then I will emphasize on the events taking place in American banking system during the 20's, the linkage between these events and the great contradiction of American economy, which took place at the end of the decade. The key part of my thesis will be devoted to the analysis of the most important state interventions, which were supposed to save the banking and financial system from collapsing between 1930 -- 1933, and make the economy prosperous again. I will devote to the steps taken by Hervert Hoover; the president between years 1929 -- 1933, as well as the steps from the first year of F. D. Roosevelt's presidency. F. D. Roosevelt's era started in March 1933, and it was the time when the American banking system found itself in the most critical situation ever. During this era, the crucial measures were taken, and I will examine the hypothesis in which there were close connections between the political and the big business representatives standing behind their enactment. I will attempt to demonstrate that the officially proclaimed goals of those measures were unlike the real content, and the consequences of the new legislatives being enacted during these times.

The research problem of this thesis was to hold large-scale sports event and its organization by nonprofessional workers that must be managed. To solve the main problem, we selected two main objectives. Determining monetary value of voluntary labour during organization of big sports event based on method VŠE was the first goal. This objective was fulfilled and determines the value at CZK 118.25. The second goal was to analyse the organization of sports event and it's securing. Using network analysis was able to find the critical path of preparation activities. Gantt diagram allowed carrying out a full analysis of resources, which could be the subject of further research.

The masters' thesis introduces theoretical basis to value-based pricing and the process of price creation. It demonstrates the implementation of theory upon real business case identifying the sources of value and price perception of a big Czech bank. Moreover, the thesis describes, how customer perceives the value and price, what factors influence his perceptions, how to effectively measure these perceptions and how to create value-based pricing through segmentation and communication. Application chapter describes the identification process of sources of value and price perceptions by providing desk research, qualitative and quantitative market research - concretely in-depth interviews and derived importance of attributes method, which quantifies the strength of product and price drivers on customer's perception. The thesis makes a list of the most important "value for money" drivers of unnamed Czech bank, which struggles with clients' churn to direct banks. The thesis proposes solutions to stop this churn and to improve bank image on the market among both clients and non-clients.

In diploma thesis author focuses on history of a village called Velké Popovice. She deals with its history from the end of the 19th century when František Ringhoffer became the owner of the village till the events that followed right after the "Velvet Revolution". The main part of this work is focused on political, agricultural and communal matters of the village. The author deals with Ringhoffer's family and the things that the family managed to realize right in Velké Popovice and in its surroundings. The author deals with Word War I, that violated not only the inhabitants of the village but also soldiers whose fates are shown on life of Josef Kabeláč, a legionary, who came from the village. In other part of the work, the author deals with the important period of the "First Republic" followed by the protectorate at the end of which a big tragedy was about to happen. The following part of the work is focused on the period of communist regime that brought decline in many spheres, its decay and following prosperity in those spheres. The history of the village is extended by detached chapters about Church of Panna Marie Sněžná, brewery of Velké Popovice, education and local club activities.

Act no. 328/2001 of the Collection of Laws defines that, apart from others, evacuation must be planned for handling emergency situations that require an alarm of the third or spe-cial degree to be raised. Successful evacuation requires an evacuation plan be made as part of crisis preparedness plans and this project could become a template for preparing evacuation plans for emergency situations at Fakultní nemocnice (a teaching hospital) in Motol, Prague. The teaching hospital in Motol is one of the largest hospitals in central Europe. It has 2,500 beds at its disposal, 350 of which are with intensive care. The hospital has large prem-ises the heart of which consists of two monoblocks, one for children patients and the other for adult ones. The other buildings in the hospital house its technical and administrative facilities or some special departments. The set of persons in question includes all the people in danger on the premises at the time of raised evacuation. It means hospitalized patients, outpatient ones, employees, students and teachers of the 2. Lékařská fakulta UK (the Medical Faculty of Charles University) and visitors. The objective of this work is to create model templates for evacuation plans for se-lected wards as well as larger departments, including the entire hospital complex. The other objective is to verify, or refute, the hypothesis that evacuation, partial or complete, of a large hospital can be finished within 12 hours. The methodology was based on detailed data collection about each ward and bed de-partments (location, number of beds, number of staff at various time of the day etc). Another source of information was a detailed survey of the entire premises focused at finding potential evacuation routes inside as well as outside the buildings, capacity of corridors, stairways, lifts, and other important information related to evacuation. The results of the project are presented in the form of ten model evacuation plans for various individual parts as well as whole units of the hospital: 1. Evacuation of one ward of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 2. Evacuation of one wing of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 3. Entire evacuation of the children{\crq}s monoblock, 4. Evacuation of one ward of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 5. Evacuation of one floor in one communication node of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 6. Evacua-tion of one entire communication node of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 7. Entire evacuation of the adult{\crq}s monoblock, 8. Evacuation of the other hospital facilities, 9. Evacuation of another pa-vilion, 10. Entire evacuation of the whole hospital. The final results show that it is not possible to have one universal evacuation plan that would include all potential situations but several plans for particular kinds of exposure and sizes of departments in danger. The hypothesis was verified for variants 1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6., 8. and 9. but it was not verified for variants 7. and 10. Evacuation of the entire adult{\crq}s mon-oblock and evacuation of the whole hospital cannot be finished within 12 hours after alert.

Complexity is a crucial barrier to our understanding of how actors behave in the international arena. Market power, normative power, regulatory power, global power, civilian power, are all concepts which have been utilised to describe the EU international actorness. However, the interaction between these concepts, and how the EU employs these comprehensively has been less debated. Complexity, in this case, has the upper hand, as it is naturally an overwhelming task to parse the pieces together of the EU's strategic behaviour, because of the unique nature of the EU and the numerous avenues it utilises to exert influence in the international arena. It is only natural that different academics argue that the EU behaves according to different sources of power, as after all, the EU power has many facets. If we concentrate on trade agreements, there would be a natural inclination to think of market power. 1 However, if the focus is on the EU's use of its international identity and its diplomatic efforts to defend liberal values, a rather normative power would be more visible. 2 However, focusing on only one does not provide us with the full picture. Thus, this thesis argues that to avoid the tunnel vision which may result from looking at only one aspect of the EU's strategic behaviour prism it could be more useful...
