Verb stem alternation in Gongduk is conditioned both by morphophonology and by grammatical categories. The analysis provided in this paper identifies seven verb classes and a small number of irregular verbs. On the assumption that attention facilitates learning (e.g., Gass, 1997; Robinson, 2003; Schmidt, 2001), we expected more attention (i.e.,

Such a result implies that inflected words do not have a form-based whole word representation, but are recognized when functional information associated with their stem and affix is recombined after decomposition. Reconstruction of Proto-slav. lexical fund requires researches of dialect lexic. Verb family *tem- / *tom- was reconstructed with supposed semantics ‘strangle’ and genetic connection with I.-E. *tem‘stuned (= deprived of air)’ on the base of South Slavic lexicon. In the article some dialect East Slav. verbs are analysed as additions to Proto-slav. *tem- / *tom- and on the base the initial semantics of the family is reconstructed as ‘beat’. So the genetic connection of Protoslav *tem- / *tom with I.-E. *stem- ‘beat’ (>*tem- ‘stuned (= deprived of air)’) is supposed.

The paper analyzes the educational potentials of video games within modern teaching and learning approaches, such as STEAM and STREAM models. Video games are seen as products of the culture of the contemporary information society, which in interaction with children acquire new qualities, meanings, and potentials and can have significant educational value and application. The entire process that occurs in the child’s interaction with the video game is considered, taking into account both the natural and social environment. Subjects taught in isolation focus on mastery of individual skill sets rather than focusing on the intersectionality of content and its application to real-life scenarios that fit the ever-changing and rapidly evolving environments in which they live. This is especially true for very young learners. To this end, reading and writing skills

Abstract In heavy oil reservoirs operated by steam injection, foam has a double benefit. By improving the steam sweep efficiency within the reservoir, foam increases oil recovery while reducing the amount of injected steam. However, in the field, this technology is not always very effective due to the fact that it is difficult to find foaming agents that can withstand temperatures above 200°C. Moreover, the agents that form stable foams at such temperatures are often insoluble at ambient temperature, and therefore difficult to solubilize in the field. Thus, a compromise between good solubility

Here, certain biopolymers with a high degree of crystallinity may be of interest due to their superior barrier properties. Conversely, forming processes including high deformations often require an almost amorphous material state to avoid the brittle behavior associated with crystal structures. For some of those biopolymers, the narrow window in which they can be processed has delayed their potential use for packaging applications. In rigid packaging, two-step processes are

We formally investigate the properties of beta-sorted portfolio returns by casting the procedure as a two-step nonparametric estimator with a nonparametric first step and a beta-adaptive portfolios construction. First, we develop a semantic annotation process that can capture many types of clinical trial criteria. Then, we map the annotated criteria to the formal query language.
