Abstract:
The use of websites for advertising activities is rarely found in Indonesia. Most of the websites developed are still for commercial purposes and some are free but limit certain facilities. This study aims to develop a website that can facilitate these needs. The website that is built is a website that can be used to help display advertisements from advertisers and provide opportunities for people who want to help researchers in serving advertisements with certain benefits. The system will pay members who promote ads even if they only see the ad. Website development begins with designing a website database. The next stage is designing a website using a codeigniter framework. This web development model uses the concept of model, view, and controller (MVC) in codeigniter. Website model development is becoming faster and more structured. The results of this web design research are used for community social activities to earn income via the internet.

AbstractThis paper details an approach to re-purposing scientific data as presented on a web page for the sole purpose of making the data more available for searching and integration into other websites. Data ‘scraping’ is used to extract metadata from a set of pages on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) website, clean, organize and store the metadata in a MySQL database. The metadata is then used to create a new website at the authors institution using the CakePHP framework to create a representational state transfer (REST) style application program interface (API). The processes used for website analysis, schema development, database construction, metadata scraping, REST API development, and remote data integration are discussed. Lessons learned and tips and tricks on how to get the most out of the process are also included.

This research designs and builds a special website for photography galleries, where this application is made to help and make it easier for photographers to store and exhibit photography widely via online media. So far, the storage media for exhibiting photographers' results is still conventional, for example exhibitions of certain photographers' artworks or special events. This makes it difficult for art enthusiasts or novice photographers to see or display their photography results. The website design uses the waterfall method and uses HTML, CSS programming language tools with the TailwindCSS framework, PHP, and MySQL as the database.

Abstract:
Every technological development is usually accompanied by an increase in security on a digital platform that is widely used by a large audience. However, with the rapid development of information technology, some of the security gaps found can be used as loopholes to commit crimes where these actions can harm others. These actions are often carried out by irresponsible people to benefit from the actions taken. Some of the gaps that are often found on digital platforms, especially on websites are SQL Injection where from BSSN data from January to April 2019, 73% of the vulnerability reports received are SQL Injection vulnerabilities. In addition, SQL Injection is also the number one threat to the security of a website application, where this SQL Injection attack is a code injection attack technique that is carried out by exploiting the security gaps that exist in the database layer of a website. In this study, taking the theme of SQL Injection which aims to conduct security analysis from the website of the school agency SMKN 1 Pangandaran, using OWASP which is used to carry out the analysis process. The result of testing the system on the website is where the attacker can perform injection using SQL payload to enter the database. Where the results of system analysis and testing will be recommended to close gaps on existing websites.

Abstract:
Project managers are generally constrained by limited time and location to monitor the implementation of daily construction tasks. This problem makes monitoring and coordination run slowly. By utilizing internet technology, the author aims to develop an online management information system that computers or smartphones can access for stakeholders. This research aims to ease tasks such as progress reports and field monitoring with a database that can store soft copies of project data on one server. The analysis follows the waterfall method, requirements, design, coding, and testing in the local server, then uploads the .php index to the database server. This website application helps managers, owners, and other employees by facilitating the process of monitoring, reporting, and discussing even remotely. Using programs such as HTML, PHP, and MySQL, the author developed a website that speeds up the managerial process and creates a database server for storing digital documents. Users of this application were assessed a scale of 1 to 5: Interface design: 4.25, User-friendliness: 4.5, Facilities: 4, Access speed: 3.25, so it has an overall score of 4.25 out of 5.

Background Attention is turning toward increasing the quality of websites and quality evaluation to attract new users and retain existing users. Objective This scoping study aimed to review and define existing worldwide methodologies and techniques to evaluate websites and provide a framework of appropriate website attributes that could be applied to any future website evaluations. Methods We systematically searched electronic databases and gray literature for studies of website evaluation. The results were exported to EndNote software, duplicates were removed, and eligible studies were identified. The results have been presented in narrative form. Results A total of 69 studies met the inclusion criteria. The extracted data included type of website, aim or purpose of the study, study populations (users and experts), sample size, setting (controlled environment and remotely assessed), website attributes evaluated, process of methodology, and process of analysis. Methods of evaluation varied and included questionnaires, observed website browsing, interviews or focus groups, and Web usage analysis. Evaluations using both users and experts and controlled and remote settings are represented. Website attributes that were examined included usability or ease of use, content, design criteria, functionality, appearance, interactivity, satisfaction, and loyalty. Website evaluation methods should be tailored to the needs of specific websites and individual aims of evaluations. GoodWeb, a website evaluation guide, has been presented with a case scenario. Conclusions This scoping study supports the open debate of defining the quality of websites, and there are numerous approaches and models to evaluate it. However, as this study provides a framework of the existing literature of website evaluation, it presents a guide of options for evaluating websites, including which attributes to analyze and options for appropriate methods.

When a company decides to change the way it views and manages its operational data, said change should be implemented in a way which allows for the company?s workforce to easily adapt to the new environment. Such was the case at Solvay, a chemical company, where a project was initiated, in late September 2012, (in which I took part) with the aim of creating a web application that would allow its users to view and manipulate manufactoring data. All feasible through a web browser. The aim of this work is to present and describe the project in which I participated during my internship at Solvay. To introduce the knowledge areas with which I had most contact during the project, a literature revision is presented. The aim of this revision is to create a benchmark which will help later on to compare what was done during the course of the project with the best practices in these knowledge areas. Afterwards, I describe the project, detailing how Agile software development principles were applied (Extreme Programming) and the impacts the new application had in the factory?s workflow. I conclude this work with an evaluation of the application and issues that arose during its development.

Abstract:

This thesis will look into what kind of solutions a company or a private person can use if they want to create a dynamic website using only free software. To do this we divided our work in two parts. In the first part, we developed a dynamic website for a Swedish company. On the server side we used exclusively free software with open source code. There are different meanings in how the term “free” should be used when referring to software, which we will explain in the thesis. We have also chosen to work with the XMLtechnology to see if it lives up to its expectations and to see if we could benefit from the technology. Alongside with the development of our site, another company developed a site for the same company as us, by using non-free software. We have described both implementations and compared them to see if it is possible to do the same thing with both free and non-free software.

The investigating part of our work consisted of getting information about what other people think about the free software phenomenon. To do so we created an online questionnaire where we randomly picked 100 Swedish web agencies and asked them to answer 8 questions about what kind of software they used in their company, and what they thought about free software. To get some more opinions we also interviewed two persons involved in these kinds of topics. Jan Sandred, who is a well known expert advisor in topics concerning the Information Technology area and Richard Stallman, the founder of GNU and the Free Software Movement.

The reason for dividing the thesis in two parts was to get an overall picture on the subject. We did not only want to base our results on other people’s thoughts. We wanted to make our own conclusions based on the implementation we did. This approach showed out to be very good. We got to try working with free software ourselves to see its pros and cons and build our own opinions about it. We could then proceed to compare our impressions to other people’s impressions about free software.

Abstract:
This is a dissertation on how we performed a project that gives our customer Ninetech a simple overview of logs. Searching of specific information such as logs in large systems can be time consuming. This was the case for the company Ninetech. Therefore, the company’s will was to have a website to present the logs in a simple format. The website’s purpose was to facilitate and reduce the time when searching for logs. It is important to shorten the time because the logs contain valuable information that the company uses to resolve support issues. The website created is a complete product delivered to the company and is currently running in production. In the project, we have had a close contact with the customer, hence has an agile method applied. As a result, the website has brought the need to find logs quickly and easily. The website has become a part of Ninetech's everyday work. The main focus of the dissertation is devoted to the view that presents logs.

Abstract:

Because data on alumnae/i is difficult to collect and change over time, obtaining up-to-date information on graduates — for the purposes of highlighting their professional achievements and facilitating networking — is a challenge faced by many higher education institutions. Social networks provide a means for alumnae/i to share successes, but viewing this information typically involves an account or a paid subscription. In this project, I address these issues by designing and implementing a free, easy-to-use, and updateable Mills Computer Science alumnae/i website backed by a database. The website has the potential to showcase the most recent or impressive alumnae/i achievements and prominently feature all graduates' accomplishments via their profiles. Additionally the database can store manually provided alumnae/i information and extract further data from LinkedIn. Evaluations of the project indicate that users and administrators find the website easy to search, navigate, and update and the information provided helpful. Because of its versatile design, this project could serve similar needs for other disciplines and institutions.

The aim of this thesis is to design a web base system which provides functionality of comparison between two java files on the basis of point-to information (P2I). User will upload Java files and analysis of Java files called point-to analysis (P2A). System will store the files in the file system for reference and download in later time. System will extract the information called P2I from P2A and it will store that information in the database.

Database should be flexible to accommodate the changes in P2A file and system should be able to extract the P2I and store it in database with minimum support of system administrator.

Abstract:
The history of web is not so long. It’s only 20 years old. By January 1993 there were fifty Web servers across the world, by October 1993 there were over five hundred. Beginning from 2002, new ideas for sharing and exchanging content such as blogs and RSS (Rich Site Summary), rapidly gained its popularity on the Web. This new model for information exchange is called Web 2.0. Instead of using static HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) pages, nowadays there are a lot of the websites where you can actually change the content by yourself without editing the HTML, for example facebook.com, twitter.com, vk.com and much more others. Abstract:
Due to the very nature of science, the dissemination of knowledge is constantly increasing. This effect is reinforced by globalisation itself, as well as by the Internet. As shown in this publication, this is reflected in the disproportionate increase in the number of publications, making it more difficult for organisations to identify technologies and trends relevant to the sector, and to take them into account in their research and development agenda. Both industry and research institutions are experiencing increased innovation pressure. This pressure is caused by globalization induced higher competition, as well as through requirements resulting from global challenges such as climate change. In addition, there are shorter product cycles and in particular an increase in computer-aided analysis methods. In order to be able to compete internationally, it is necessary for both industry and research institutions to identify current market trends, new technical developments and current as well as future challenges, and to take these into account in their strategic orientation. Only then will it possible to advance the further development of turbomachinery in a targeted manner. The objective of this paper is to identify current market trends, technical developments and challenges in the context of turbomachinery; an application programming interface (API) was employed to analyse the database of the www.elsevier.com website.

Abstract:
Abstract The major aim of this project is to construct a growing database of information regarding specific manifestations of congenital heart diseases (CHDs), subsequent treatments, clinical cases, and patient outcomes. This will include 3D models generated from clinical imaging of individual patient hearts and respective de-identified clinical case information — all of which will be incorporated onto the free-access Atlas of Human Cardiac Anatomy website (http://www.vhlab.umn.edu/atlas/), where anyone can learn more about these diseases and their complexities [1]. Generated models can also be used for 3D printing, such as for pre-surgical planning, as well as for incorporation into virtual reality in order to expand outreach and education efforts [2]. Future work will incorporate computational modeling to enhance insights relative to treatment strategies and surgical planning. By studying a broad range of these unique individual cases, it will be possible for patients, clinicians, and medical device designers alike to better understand the clinical presentations of congenital heart diseases and develop more effective treatment strategies.

Keaton, Jeffrey R., and Luther H. Boudra. "Development of Sinkhole Hazard for Pipeline Risk Assessment in Northern Florida." In 2014 10th International Pipeline Conference. American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 2014. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/ipc2014-33117.

Full text
Abstract:
Sinkholes are common features in parts of Florida, and the Florida Geological Survey maintains an online database of sinkhole incident reports (SIRs) that was started in 1965. The incident reports are accepted “as-is” without verification; sinkhole location, length, width, and depth are included in SIRs. A desktop assessment of sinkhole activity in northern Florida was developed on the basis of SIRs that were available in GIS (shape file) format from the Florida Geological Survey website and an understanding that sinkhole activity needed to be normalized to length for use in pipeline risk assessments. The rate of sinkhole development in northern Florida was quantified by extracting sinkhole locations within 10 miles of a 230-mile-long hypothetical alignment of a pipeline and lateral. Over 500 sinkholes were located within the approximately 4,700-square mile polygon. Sinkhole trends aligned to highways indicate more complete reporting; therefore, 33 road segments comprising a combined length of about 944 miles within the polygon were used for statistical analysis. The SIR database was accepted as an accurate portrayal of sinkholes during its 47-year existence. Sinkhole activity was portrayed as annual frequency for sinkhole width or length ranging from 1 to 500 feet and normalized to 1 square mile and 1 lineal mile. A sinkhole 2 feet or larger in width occurs on average 8 times per year somewhere within 10 miles of the hypothetical alignment; whereas, a similar sinkhole occurs on average 4 times per year along a length of 944 miles. A 2-foot or larger sinkhole occurs on average about every 600 years within any 1 square mile of the 4,700-square-mile area and about every 200 years along any 1 mile of alignment length. On a per-lineal-mile basis, the expected 1,000-year sinkhole would be at least 9 feet wide; whereas the 1,000-year sinkhole would be at least 22 feet wide. Performance of specific pipelines under loading conditions associated with sinkholes of various widths can be assessed and used in a pipeline risk assessment.

Abstract:
The presentation is an overview of the Mikes Kelemen Program - running since 2013 under the auspices of various public entities including the National Széchényi Library - in terms of its processes, results and future potential. Since its launch the Program has processed and offered into public use 250,000 documents collected from eight countries on four continents. The 90,000 documents so far placed offer us insight into the document needs of the domestic library system and those of Hungarian minorities abroad. After two years of development the initial HTML-based service interface listing the documents on offer was replaced by a new SQL database-based one in 2020. The implementation was driven by knowledge gained in the first years of the Program, including document processing experience, utilization statistics for the documents on offer, and feedback from partner institutions that joined the Program. The operation of the new database-based interface implements the management of duplicates exchange differently from the Hungarian practice. The Mikes Kelemen Program website is characterized by serviceoriented operation and integrated processing and recommendation process management. The operation enables accurate, reliable, automated and trackable document management, which may provide a blueprint for the overhaul of the national duplicates exchange system, replacing “digital paper-based” records such as Excel or Word.

"Completing the Second Target: Finding Optimal Completion Practices for the Three Forks Formation in the Williston Basin Using Multivariate Statistical Analysis." In SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference. SPE, 2015. http://dx.doi.org/10.2118/spe-173377-ms.

Full text
Abstract:
Abstract The Three Forks Formation in the Williston Basin has started to see a large increase in activity in the past six years. This is largely due to the shallower Bakken Formation transitioning into an infill development mode and operators looking at finding incremental reserves from the Three Forks Formation below. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the geological and completion variables of Three Forks horizontal wells in the North Dakota portion of the Williston Basin, and show which factors impact production performance using multivariate statistics. A financial evaluation of the completion factors will also be presented to show which variables have the biggest impact on production. A database of available completion and geological data has been assembled from the North Dakota Industrial Commission (NDIC) website. To date there are roughly 2,400 horizontal wells targeting the Three Forks Formation on the North Dakota side of the Williston Basin. Some of the variables collected include number of fracture stages, amount and type of proppant, total volume and type of frac fluid, lateral length, max treatment pressure and rate, API oil gravity, formation thickness (from formation tops) and production. The data was subjected to multivariate nonlinear statistical analysis. This type of analysis allows for simultaneously comparing multiple variables to one outcome variable. In this case study the outcome variable is 180-day production. Using multivariate analysis in the Three Forks Formation of the Williston Basin will aid in predicting production in different parts of the basin and finding which controllable completion variables have the most significant impact on production. The output can also aid in production forecasting based on changes to treatment designs.

Abstract:
This project explores workforce and occupations within the highway, street, and bridge construction industries (NAICS 237310) in Indiana. There are five specific deliverable comprised of three data reports, one policy document, and a website. The first data report includes an assessment of the workforce based on the eight-part framework, which are industry, occupations, job postings, hard-to-fill jobs, Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP), GAP Analysis, compatibility, and automation. The report defines a cluster followed by a detailed analysis of the occupations, skills, job postings, etc., in the NAICS 237310 industry in Indiana. The report makes use of specialized labor market databases, such as the Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI), CHMURA JobsEQ, etc. The analysis is based only on the jobs covered under the unemployment insurance or the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) data. The second data report analyzes jobs to jobs flows to and from the construction industry in Indiana, with a particular emphasis on the Great Recession, by utilizing the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. The third data report looks into the equal employment opportunity or Section 1391 and 1392 data for Indiana and analyzes specific characteristics of that data. The policy report includes a set of recommendations for workforce development for INDOT and a summary of the three data reports. The key data on occupations within the NAICS 237310 are provided in an interactive website. The website provides a data dashboard for individual INDOT Districts. The policy document recommends steps for development of the highways, streets and bridges construction workforce in INDOT Districts.

Price, Roz. Lessons From Livelihood Interventions that Increase the Resilience of Populations to Droughts in Afghanistan and Other FCAS. Institute of Development Studies (IDS), November 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.19088/k4d.2022.012.

Abstract:
Creating and protecting more resilient rural livelihoods is seen as being key to advancing Afghanistan’s development and improving its reslience to climate change impacts, particularly drought. This rapid review draws on policy and programme information from donor and multi-lateral organisations and some academic literature to identify best practices and lessons learned on interventions to support livelihood resilience (to drought) in Afghanistan. Where possible, final project evaluations were utilised. Some broader recommendations and insights are taken from other fragile and conflict-affected situations (FCAS) and also from resilience and livelihoods interventions in Afghanistan that are not necessarily explicitly linked to dought. This review highlights the prominence of ‘resilience’ in donor interventions, but that there is a continued lack of clarity on how it should be measured or evaluated. This rapid review uses broad search categories and approaches, including database and website searches and snowballing of references. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were developed iteratively, with abstracts and documents assessed to find the most relevant papers. Donor databases were searched for relevant information. Much of the literature identified through this rapid review is donor-based evaluations of projects in Afghanistan. However, many of these evaluations are mainly concerned with project outputs and issues of implementation and process, particularly those relating to routine project monitoring and evaluation in fragile situations. Less robust information was provided on the success/results, appropriateness and lessons learned from the interventions themselves. . This review shows a breadth of resilience and livelihood programming in Afghanistan, especially aimed at agriculture and livestock. It was not possible to explore all the evidence and evaluations identified; priority was given to systematic reviews of multiple interventions and evaluations with clear lessons on intervention success.
