Abstract:
Digital control possesses evident advantages and has become a mainstream control of photovoltaic grid connected inverter. The mathematical model and parameter setting of the single phase photovoltaic grid connected inverter with L filter was introduced in the paper. It was analysed on the effect on system stability of digital process from the two aspects which were the zero-order-hold and one-step-delay control. The bode diagram was verified the theoretical analysis on system stability. The conclusions were made that the introduction of digital control reduces the critical stable gain of photovoltaic grid connected inverter system, system stability is varied with sample time, the parameters of L can affect the system stability range,zero-order-hold reduces the stability range and limits the performance improved of digital control system,one-step-delay control on photovoltaic grid connected inverter reduces again the stability range on the basis of the zero-order-hold control.

Abstract:
This paper deals with the stability characteristics of zeros for sampled-data models with a class of triangle sample and hold realized by a traditional zero-order hold. For any controlled models in the modern industrial system, using a digital control strategy has been shown to provide the means to achieve the assigned objectives. In this process, one must utilize the sample and hold device to obtain the sampled-data models. Previous studies have shown that the triangle sample and hold can improve the stability properties of zeros of a sampled-data control system compared with zero-order hold. However, it is difficult to use triangle sample and hold in practice. In this paper, an approximated method of using triangle sample and hold is proposed. More importantly, on the basis of that method, we explicitly derive the corresponding accurate sampled-data model of controlled models. In addition, we also provide the expression for sampling zeros and the theorem for the stability of a linear control system in the fast sampling process. The results of this paper show that the proposed method has the same advantages as the accurate one. Finally, theoretical findings are validated through numerical simulations with different considerations.

Abstract:
This paper introduces a new holder with application on digital control systems. This holder is a combination of fractional order hold (FROH) and zero-order hold (ZOH) that has the capability of both holders and a frequency response better than both of ZOH and FROH. For the stability of zeros of the sampled system two theorems are stated and proved with the assumption that the sampling period is very small. Also simulation results are studied to show the effectiveness of the proposed holder and better performance results in comparison with ZOH and FROH.

Abstract:
This and the next chapter concern the interior of the Kaʿba, both asking what and how the Kaʿba houses and thereby fulfils a basic function of architecture: to shelter and hold. This chapter argues that the total emptiness of the Kaʿba in terms of cultic content and its near emptiness in terms of material content are part of the Kaʿba’s function as a placeholder of the symbolic order of Islam – a function similar to the function of zero in cultures historically stamped by visualising technologies based on linear perspective. The chapter is divided into three parts. First, an account of what the early Islamic sources say the Kaʿba held before the advent of Islam, what they say this content was for, and what they allege the Prophet did with it upon his conquest of Mecca. Second, a discussion of the sources’ claim that the Prophet evacuated most of this content, and an analysis of pre-modern diagrammatic miniature paintings of the Kaʿba which substantiate this claim. Third, an interpretation of the resultant emptied Kaʿba as the placeholder of a void that is (1) functional in Islamic culture, anchoring the symbolic order of Islam, and (2) constitutive of the Kaʿba’s mystery.

Abstract:
First, the limits of Science, Philosophy and Theology, and the proper methodologies of each field of knowledge must he recalled in order to speak meaningfully of material reality, living or non-living. The existence of infinite universes as the theoretical reason why Einstein’s cosmological constant is so close to zero is impossible to verify for those other universes. Eddington, Dicke, Carter, Barrow, Wheeler and Hawking himself have underlined the need for most precise values of the different cosmic parameters (Anthropic Principle). Finality is a metaphysical problem when we speak of the Universe and to deny it leaves us with an absurd. We should admit that there is no scientific answer as yet for any of the important questions posed by biology. “The Emperor’s New Mind” of artificial intelligence is a fraud, as pointed out by Penrose. In “The Great Design”, their authors present the multiplicity of undetectable universes (than appear out of “nothing”) as the explanation of the fact that the one we detect is suitable for life. No Science can predict what I will do next minute. Neither can it predict the free activity of the Creator who holds the Universe in existence.

Abstract:
The chapter suggests that the dominant architectural history is too logocentric and not speculative enough. As such, its only merit is to translate a coexistence of becomings into a succession of neat logically necessary types. The case will be made for the role of topology as the antidote to the pernicious typological essentialism. Architecture needs to be free from the ideas of epoch and destiny. Following Brian Massumi’s lead, the speculative aspect relates to the contingently obligatory becoming, an event: “intrepidly future-facing, far-rangingly foretracing.” While it would appear logical that space should precede affordance, in fact the inverse holds true. The degree zero of spatial experience occurs at the level of the unconscious and is proto-subjective and sub-representational. As Hayles put it, consciousness is overrated. In terms of architectural thinking everything begins from the sensible. However, the task of speculative thinking is to go beyond the sensible to the potentials that make sensibility possible. After all, the basic medium of the discipline of architecture, as we see it, is the ‘space of experience’. This spatium, which is not to be confused with the ‘experience of space’, does not pre-exist but subsists as a virtuality. According to Deleuze, the plane of composition - as a work of sensation - is aesthetic: "it is the material that passes into the sensation." Once aesthetics is drawn into the context of production its realm expands to become a dimension of being itself. Both subjects and objects come to be seen as derivative. Consequently, the mereological relationship - which is perfectly suitable for the realm of the extensive - needs to be radically revamped in order to become capable of capturing topological transformations. But what we are advocating is not a formalisable model. Quite the contrary, any technological determinism needs to be kept at bay. What is needed instead is heuristics as a practice of material inference. However disadvantageous this may seem to the architect, it will prove not to be so once we fully grasp the Affective Turn and its implications for the discipline. It might become apparent that it is through habit, rather than attention, and collectivity, rather than individualism, that we find the (royal) road to the understanding of ‘space’, or better still, that we take a (minor) apprenticeship in spatialisation.

Abstract:
When a continuous-time linear system is discretized using a hold, stability of poles are preserved. However, the transformations of zeros are much more complicated and the number of the zeros increases in some cases in the discretization process. This paper is concerned with the zeros of a sampled-data model resulting from a continuous-time multivariable system which is not decouplable by static state feedback and has all of the relative degrees one. Two cases of a zero-order hold and a fractional-order hold are treated. An approximate expression of the zeros is given as power series expansions with respect to a sampling period in the zero-order hold case. Further, the limiting zeros are analyzed in the fractional-order hold case. Then, the advantage of the fractional-order hold to the zero-order hold is discussed from the viewpoint of stability of the zeros.
