La Epístola sobre los sueños (Risala al-Manamiyya) es un breve tratado donde Avicena se ocupa de algunas consideraciones relevantes acerca del modo en que se suscitan la profecía y la adivinación a través de los sueños. La teoría que aparece en dicho tratado ilustra con precisión cuán intrincada es la teoría de la profecía de Avicena y, al mismo tiempo, aporta varias pistas para reconocer el origen de dicha teoría tal como aparece en tratados mayores como fī al-Nafs e Ilahiyat de la Šifa’. La Risala al-Manamiyya también nos permite reconocer el impacto de varias influencias provenientes de la tradición griega, principalmente de Aristóteles, Galeno, Plotino, y otros Neoplatónicos. Este artículo explica las teorías de la adivinación a través de los sueños y de la profecía tal como aparecen en la versión árabe del De divinatione per somnun, un tratado donde pueden encontrarse los orígenes de la teoría de la profecía de Avicena. Además, muestra el impacto que la teoría contenida en este trabajo tuvo en la Risala al-Manamiyya. Finalmente, expone algunas consideraciones concernientes a la transmisión y adaptación de los planteamientos metafísicos que aparecen tanto en el De divinatione como en la Risāla al-Manāmiyya, aludiendo al impacto que ambas obras tuvieron en las teorías de la profecía que encontramos en los tratados mayores de Avicena.

The article “Arab medicine in practice and theory - counteracting the feeling of fatigue during Hajj based on selected fragments from "Risala" Qusṭā ibn Lūqā - outline of the problem” presents medieval Arab medicine, both from the theoretical and practical aspects based on Qusṭā ibn Lūqā – Risāla Fī Tadbīr Safar Al-ḥajj. The author presents the physicians profile, as written by Ar- Razii, who must know both the practical skills as well as having a wide theoretical knowledge. This article shows Arab medicine within its historical context. For discussion of the issue selected examples are derived from Qusta ibn Luqa treatises.

This article explores practices of ‘remediation’ of love poetry via the mobile phone among countrymen (qabaʾil) of the Yemeni highlands. Qabaʾil respond to rejection in love and to failed marriage by venting their passion through poems of the qasida genre. The romantic discourse of qasidas is inherently conservative and provides a cathartic function and a rationalization of loss. This romantic discourse overtly contradicts dominant ideals of manliness and Islamic morals, yet can be publicly expressed because it is mediated in poetry. The remediation of this discourse via the mobile phone has produced a new poetic genre: the risala. By sending risala poems through mobile phones, the qabaʾil establish a direct contact with women and shape a discourse of intimacy which can set the premises for future conjugal choices. The romantic discourse of the risala is thus generative and constitutes a motivation for action. The analysis of the link between the qasida, the risala and mobile phones demonstrates how ‘new’ media can refashion ‘older’ media, and how discrepant emotions can be distributed in distinct discourses through different media.

Artikel ini membahas tentang edisi kritik Gerrit Bos’ alas karya Qusta Ibn Luqa's Risala ila al-hasan b. Mahlad fi-tadbir safar al-hajj. Salah satu karya Gerrit Bos yang berkaitan dengan manuskrip Arab klasik yang diterbitkan oleh E.J. Brill pada tahun 1992. Sebagaimana tertera dalam judul manuskrip tersebut, karya ini membahas tentang pengetahuan yang berkaitan dengan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi oleh para jemaah haji pada abad pertengahan. Risalah ini merupakan suatu bimbingan kesehatan yang bagus, simpel dan ringkas yang ditujukan untuk para jemaah haji, yang kurang pengetahuan akan medis. Risalah ini mengandung informasi dasar mengenai aturan atau tatacara terbaik untuk menjaga kesehatan seseorang dan juga membahas berbagai kemunkinan penyakit yang akan dihadapi oleh para jama'ah disertai dengan cara perawatan dan pengobatannya.Artikel ini juga membahas tentang tradisi keilmuan Barat dalam mengedit dan menganotasi manuskrip-manuskrip Arab klasik. Disamping itu, artikel ini juga mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana Gerrit Bos mengedit dan menganotasi text Arab klasik yang disesuaikan dengan keilmuan Barat modern sehingga dia mampu menghasilkan sebuah edisi kritik yang reliable. Untuk keperluan itu, saya merujuk beberapa sumber yang relevan dalam menulis artikel ini, seperti Rosenthal's Technique, Witkam's Establishing Stemma, Vrolijk's Bringing a Laugh, GAL, GAS, El2, dan beberapa Jurnal.Tradisi mengedit dan menganotasi manuskrip-manuskrip Arab Klasik telah menjadi fokus kajian para sarjana Barat selama beberapa abad. Karya-karya Gerrit Bos (sejak 1992), Hans Daiber (sejak 1976), Frank Griffel (sejak 2000), Recha Allgaier, Martina Hussein , and Jessica Kley (in progress) adalah contoh konkrit yang membuktikan bahwa tradisi ini masih berlanjut sampai sekarang. Edisi kritik karya Gerrit Bos menjadi contoh nyata dari kompetensi sarjana­sarjana Barat dalam megedit, menterjemahkan dan menganotasi manuskrip­manuskrip Arab klasik secara scientific.Kata Kunci: Gerrit Bos, Qusta Ibn Luqa's risala, Arabic manuscript

<p><em>One of the prominent factor leading to the continuing decline of the Muslim Ummah is rivalry between scientific mind and traditional mind-set. The modern Muslim intellectuals are fascinated by scientific developments in the West and discouraged by the inability of Ummah. The process of re-emergence as developed community is imbedded in re-Islamization of scientific knowledge. The rise of Muslim Ummah is tied with integration of Shari’ah based knowledge and scientific knowledge. The focus of the Muslim intellectual pursuits must once again gravitate towards these two fountains of true knowledge. To achieve this goal, Said Nursi a versatile personality, a true representative of Islam came with all-inclusive ideas for integration of both the knowledge’s. He advocates the Qur’anic Scientism and discussed faith based research (iman tahqiqi) relying on positive action (jihad Manaavi) in Risal-i Nur. In this paper an Attempt has been made to acme the Qur’anic Scientism in Risal-i- Nur, to prove Qur’anic Scientism highly applicable while as Said Nursi as admirably a true representative of Qur’anic Message in the modern era.</em></p>

Focusing on the theoretical and substantive works of the ninth-century jurist al-Shafi'i, namely the Risala and the Kitab al-Umm, this paper uses the Umm's treatment of husbands striking their recalcitrant wives as a case study to show that the Umm follows the Risala's methodological principles, but only up to a point. Al-Shafi'i aims to reconcile the Qur'anic evidence permitting physical chastisement with Muhammad's exemplary practice or sunnah discouraging men from striking their wives. Yet in allowing an additional, non-scriptural consequence for a wife's nushuz or recalcitrance, al-Shafi'i departs from his stated intention to rely exclusively on revealed texts.

<p class="IIABSBARU">Tarekat (sufi order) is an important part of the development of Islam in Indonesia. The early Islamic mission in Nusantara was conducted by sufi’s teacher. Their ability to make close contact to local ruler enabled them to spread Islam in local kingdom. The tarekat had international link so that the acceleration of islamization in Indonesia was supported by the link sufi’s teacher had. The spread of sufi order happened quite smoothly because the teaching they introduced contained mystic elements that were familiar to local community. The gradual introduction of Islam by tarekat master in many places made islamization run peacefully. The mystic tenets brought by tarekat master create a harmony between Islam and local culture. The paper will deal with the manuscript of Risala Syatariya Gresik. The paper is conducted using philology. The main purpose of the paper is to present the text edition of Risala Syatariya from Gresik.</p><p class="IKa-ABSTRAK">***</p>Tarekat (aliran sufi) merupakan bagian penting dalam per­kembangan Islam di Indonesia. Missi Islam pertama di Nusantara dijalankan oleh para tokoh sufi. Kemampuan mereka untuk mendekati penguasa setempat memungkin­kan mereka untuk dapat menyebarkan agama Islam di keraja­an setempat. Tarekat memiliki jaringan internasional sehingga percepatan Islamisasi Indonesia di­dukung oleh jaringan yang dimiliki oleh para tokoh sufi tersebut. Per­kembangan ajaran sufi ber­jalan dengan sangat halus karena ajaran yang di­perkenal­kan mengandung unsur-unsur mistis yang telah dikenal oleh masyarakat setempat. Perkenalan Islam secara perlahan oleh para tokoh tarekat di berbagai tempat telah menjadikan persebaran Islam ber­jalan secara damai. Unsur-unsur mistis yang dibawa oleh para tokoh tarekat ini menciptakan harmoni antara Islam dengan budaya se­tempat. Tulisan ini membahas manuskrip Risalah Syatariyah Gresik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah filologi.

Ibn al-muqaffa' (106-142 h 724-759), une personnalite qui a pu avoir toutes les qualites pour assurer son integration aussi bien dans la vie litteraire que dans la vie politique et sociale. Ceci grace a sa vaste culture qui puisait dans l'heritage culturel universel. Il est devenu le symbole du genre litteraire appele adab, et compte parmi les hommes les plus eloquents de la litterature arabe. Cependant on a jamais essayer de se pencher sur l'etude de son ecriture afin de decouvrir les secrets qui font sa puissance et sa force, chose qui nous a pousse a consacrer la premiere partie de notre travail a l'etude de l'architecture de son recit et dans laquelle nous demontrons que son secret reside dans les differents textes qui composent ce recit dont les maximes et sentences, la sagesse grecque, la poesie et le coran; des textes qui representent en eux-memes le sommet de l'eloquence et de la sagesse, chose qui alimente l'ecriture d'ibn al-muqaffa' et la rend a son tour unique dans son genre. En revanche nous avons eu le souci de penetrer dans le fond de cette ecriture afin de pourvoir analyser le discours de ce secretaire et de degager sa vision ethique et politique. Ceci a travers quatres grands chapitres dont le premier est sur le genre adab. Le deuxieme sur l'homme a la recherche de son identite contenant l'avis de l'auteur sur la raison et la religion, le monde d'ici-bas et l'au-dela. Le troisieme sur les rapports avec autrui et le dernier se rapportant a la vision politique de l'auteur, traitant deux genres d'autorite, celle fondee sur la religion et celle fondee sur la fermete. En un mot, nous presentons une etude sur l'art et la pensee de l'homme
Ibn al-muqaffa' (106-142h 724-759), a brilliant man who possesed all the qualities to assure his integration in the literary life as well as the political and social one. This was reached bu virtue of a wide culture inspired byuniversal cultural heritage. He became a symbol of a literary genre known as adab, and hi was also considered among the great eloquents of arabic literature. Neverthelesse, we have never given his writing the importance it deserves, so we have missed the secrets which are the real keys to its strength and weath. In fact this void has induced us devote his two parts. In the first parts we try to treat the architecture of his narration which schows that his secret resides in the different textes that constitute this narration, including maximes and sentences, greec wisdom, poetry and coran; these diverse textes introduce in themselves the top of eloquence and wisdome and writing they feed ibn al-muqaffa''s writing and turn up to be unique in its genre. Instead, we have taken the duty, in the second part, to scrutinize the depth of his writing in order to find out his message and develop his political and ethical insight. The study in to be handled through four chapters deals into adab as genre. The second is about man and the search for his identity; a theme which involves the autor's opinion on reasom and religion, the earthly world and the here after. As for the third chapter, it deals with the relationchip with the unknown. And finaly the last chapter displays two models of authority based on religion and fermety respectively. Em Tutaméia, Guimarães Rosa propõe e experimenta um recorte muito peculiar do cômico, cuja função não seria a de causar o riso, mas a de dar acesso a \"novos sistemas de pensamento\". A natureza e os mecanismos do cômico são discutidos no primeiro prefácio e valorizados por sua capacidade de desfazer estereótipos, abrindo espaço para outras possibilidades, para o inédito (sentido primordial de anedota), por exemplo. A própria obra incorpora formas e estruturas do cômico: seus quatro prefácios retomam em nova configuração elementos da comédia clássica, principalmente a parábase; assinalamos várias estórias organizadas segundo as formas cômicas debatidas no prefácio; até mesmo na composição de frases ou vocábulos percebe-se princípios próprios do cômico. A perspectiva cômica, infiltrada em vários planos da obra, cumpre inúmeras funções. Uma delas seria a de revelar o engano de raciocínios e valores viciados, já que alarga as possibilidades de representação ao incorporar \"outras lógicas\", normalmente banidas do pensamento sério, como no caso do louco, da criança, do criminoso, do palhaço, do velho esclerosado etc. Alguns procedimentos cômicos discutidos - seria o caso do \"processo de niilificação\" e da \"definição por extração\" - e também observados em estórias seriam modos de se acessar o \"nada\", tema amplamente recorrente e que faz parte inclusive do título: Tutaméia é \"ninharia\", \"quase nada\". A comicidade, ainda, contribuiria para ampliar o próprio idioma; ao desfazer clichês possibilita apreender a realidade não atingida pelo senso comum ou por formas convencionais. Note-se que Tutaméia não é uma obra cômica, mas foi composta a partir da perspectiva cômica, o que parece corresponder a uma vertente do pensamento moderno que valoriza o cômico por permitir a liberação do censurado, por dar acesso a tudo o que é excluído como \"não oficial\", \"não sério\", e que no entanto participa da totalidade (Dasein). A questão da comicidade ganha extraordinária complexidade na obra, confundindo-se muitas vezes com outros procedimentos (o estranhamento, a ironia, o grotesco) e sugerindo a dissolução das formas: há elementos trágicos, épicos, míticos, dramáticos, fantásticos, cinematográficos; além do minimalismo das estórias, do desdobramento cubista de perspectivas, da sondagem subjetiva etc. Enfim, o manejo do cômico em Tutaméia culmina num sistema de pluralidade e simultaneidade de perspectivas.
In his Tutaméia, Guimarães Rosa proposes and experiments with a very peculiar approach to the comical, whose purpose, rather than cause laughter, is to lead to new systems of thought. The main subject of the first preface of Tutaméia is the nature and procedures of the comical, whose importance is attributed to its ability to unmake stereotypes, opening up room for new possilibilities, for the \'unexpected\' (etymological meaning of the Portuguese word \"anedota\" - joke). Elements of the comic can be found throughout the whole of Tutaméia: its four prefaces retake, in a special way, the parabasis, an exclusive part of the classical comedy; many of its stories are structured according to the comical forms (the same ones discussed in the first preface); even in the composition of sentences or words, the comical process seems to be the guideline. The comical point of view in this work of Rosa fulfills many functions. One of them woud be to disclose the mistakes of commonplace reasoning and values, since it widens the possibilities of representation when it incorporates other \"kinds of logic\", usually banished from the realm of what is considered serious thought, as is the case of the reasoning of the insane, the child, the criminal, the clown and the such. Some comical procedures discussed - it would be the case of the \"process of niilificação\" and of the \"definition from extration\" - and also perceived in stories, would be ways of accessing the \"nothing\", widely recurrent subject which is also part of the title: Tutaméia means \"almost nothing\". The comical, still, would contribute to extend the range of reach of language itself: on unmaking clichés, it allows the apprehension of reality not grasped by common sense or conventional thought. Lastly, Tutaméia is not a comedy in itself, but it was composed from the comical perspective, what seems to correspond to the modern philosophical thought that values the comical for allowing the release of censured contents, for allowing access to what is excluded as \"not official\", \"not serious\", and that however participates in the totality (Dasein). The question of the comical gains extraordinary complexity in Tutaméia, confusing itself many times with other procedures (such as the strangeness, the irony, the grotesque) and allowing the dissolution of the forms: it has tragic, epic, mythical, dramatical, cinematographic elements; beyong the minimalism of the stories, the cubist unfolding of perspectives, the subjective sounding. The handling of the comical in Tutaméia culminates in a system of plurality and concurrence of perspectives.

Studies syfte är att undersöka samt problematisera hur företaget Nick’s medierar hälsa genom deras förpackningsdesign. Detta analyseras utifrån tre förpackningar och tre instagrambilder av företagets produkter. Analysen av materialet utförs i två steg. Inledningsvis via en semiotisk analys med målet att identifiera relevanta visuella attribut i förhållande till studiens syfte och frågeställning. Som sedan analyseras mer djupgående via en diskursanalys med utgång i teorier kring hälsa och förpackningsdesign. Resultatet visar på att Nick´s genom sin förpackningsdesign framställer hälsa genom en övergripande association till ett naturligt ursprung samtidigt som de patologiserar ohälsa och åberopar ett individuellt hälsoansvar. Avslutningsvis framställs hälsa även som en social tillhörighet som kan uppnås via konsumtion av företagets produkter.

Ce travail porte sur l’influence doctrinale d’al-ŠâfiÝî sur Abû Íayyân al-naÎwî, dans son grand commentaire du Coran intitulé : Tafsîr al-BaÎr -al-MuÎîÔ. Pour comprendre sa démarche herméneutique, nous consacrons une partie importante à sa vie et à sa production intellectuelle. Nous étudions l’œuvre exégétique d’Abû Íayyân : nous démontrons comment sa méthode d'analyse et sa conception de la langue arabe et du Coran sont influencées par Al-ŠâfiÝî et son école juridique. Nous approfondissons les aspects sémantiques, lexicaux et grammaticaux de son analyse exégétique, et traitons aussi des phénomènes de polysémie, de synonymie et de mots à sens opposé. Nous abordons également la conception et les apports d' Abû Íayyân dans le domaine de la rhétorique, de la métonymie, de la sémantique grammaticale (Ýilm al- maÝânî) et de la science des ornements du discours (Ýilm al- badîÝ)
This research deals with al-ŠâfiÝî's influence upon Abû Íayyân al-naÎwî 's doctrine, in his Great Commentaries of the Holy Quran entitled : Tafsîr al-BaÎr -al-MuÎîÔ. We understand his hermeneutic approach through an extensive analysis of his life and of his intellectual creation. We study Abû Íayyân's exegetical works : we show how far his analytic process and his conception of the Arabic language and of the Holy Quran are influenced by al-ŠâfiÝî and his juridic school of thought. We scrutinize the semantic, lexical and grammatical components of his approach, including polysemous, synonymous and opposite words. Resumen
This thesis presents a critical analysis on the self in relation to the concept of God in writings and discourse of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. He has lived between 1876-1960 as not only a religious scholar but also as an activist in Turkey. Another particular importance of this study is that Nursi’s ideas about the self in relation to the concept of God have been discussed together with mainstream western and Islamic thoughts. For Bediuzzaman Said Nursi a true understanding of the concept of self is essential to fulfil the true potential as an individual. Dynamic and ever changing structure of the self can be understood by anā which is a subjective tool acting as a unit of measure. In other words it is just an image (anā) on the mirror (nafs), which reflects and shows the Divine Names and Attributes. However if anā and nafs are not guided by Divine Revelation and Sunnah, they can easily claim to be the source and owner of what is reflected on the mirror. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi has a completely different understanding of the universe and the concept of self, compared to many of the western philosophers and thinkers. For him it is important to grasp the reality of things which may ultimately lead to a better understanding of the Divine (m‘arifah). And grasping the reality of things is only possible if one can obtain a stand point to reach out to the meaning of things in a domain not limited to his benefit only. According to him this is possible through a proper understanding of the concepts like nafs and anā.

Resumen
A study of al-Risalah al-Bahirah presents a departure in the interpretation of Abu Y`acqub al-Sijistani's (d. approximately between 386/996 and 393/1002--3) writings. It is the first critical edition and translation of al-Risalah al-Bahirah .
Previous scholarship has concentrated on the quest for the historical Sijistani and his alignment with the Fat&dotbelow;imid Imams. This thesis explains Sijistani's relationship with the Fat&dotbelow;imids through a critical analysis of his doctrines of revelation, resurrection and retribution using the Bahirah as its focus.

Resumen
The thesis at hand presents a critical analysis of the writings of the contemporary, 20th century Muslim scholar, theologian and exegete Said Nursi (1876-1960) of Turkey. Special reference is given in this thesis to his views and writings on theodicy and the problem of evil from the perspective of Islām. This thesis is an attempt to discover the Qur'anic narrative of evil (sharr) as deviating from the human perception of evil in this world; to analyze Nursi's magnum opus on the definition of sharr and its correspondence to the Qur'anic definition thereof; and to challenge Nursi's works with the thoughts and views of his predecessors and contemporaries in order to try to filter new insights and offer possible solutions to theodicy and the problem of evil through Nursi's Risale-i Nur Collection. The methodology that has been used in this study follows Izutsu's example as seen in Ethico-Religious Concepts of the Qur'an and God and Man in the Koran: namely to conduct an inductive investigation of the term sharr in the Qur'ān and Nursi's Risale-i Nur Collection. There are several issues that can be considered to be the main findings of this study: 1) human perception of evil in this world to a great extent at odds with the Qur'anic definition of sharr, 2) new theological concept called 'negative worship', establishing a relation between sharr and worship, 3) relationship between theodicy and the Divine Names of God, 4) link between the human 'I' (ana) and, if misused, its encouragement for all kinds of ashrār (pl. sharr), 5) original interpretation to the Qur'anic verse [2:30], 6) sharr, ana and free choice (juz'ī ikhtiyār) consist of the same nature and finally 7) suffering of on-human beings part of the field of theodicy.

Resumen
Muitos projetos de software não obtêm sucesso, pois seus riscos não são gerenciados. Para atender os seus diversos projetos de software uma organização de software deve levar em consideração uma metodologia de Gerência de Riscos que seja dinâmica, efetiva e de rápida aplicação. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever a implantação de uma metodologia de gerência de riscos, chamada RisAgi, em um projeto de software real de um setor público do estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. Após a implantação, foi conduzida uma avaliação e observou-se que a metodologia RisAgi foi fácil de aprender e possibilitou a elaboração de um conjunto mínimo de artefatos suficientes para apoiar a gerência de riscos. Assim, acreditase que a metodologia RisAgi possa ser implantada de maneira satisfatória em outras organizações de software.
