Modern Altaian literature has a wide range of possibilities for representing ethnic and national mentality due to the fact that ethno-cultural elements are its organic part. It reveals the role of the bearers of the spiritual singing traditions of the Old Believers of the Belokrinitskaya Hierarchy in preserving the spiritual singing culture in Altai. For the first time, materials collected in expeditions in the period from 2022 to 2024 in Barnaul, Zalesovo village of the Altai Territory, the village of Zamulta of the Altai Republic are published. These are conversations with bearers of the spiritual singing traditions, a repertoire of spiritual poems and liturgical chants recorded from informants.

Silent poems was a visual poetic genre practiced in Italy, Spain and their colonies during the 17th and 18th centuries. Being occasional texts, presented at contests and poetry fairs, they were not printed, but handwritten.
