Resumen
The problem of inferiority general phenomenon affects all members of society, and looks manifestations in poor self and low self-esteem and shyness confidence. When the evolution of this situation and left without treatment, the individual infected with so-called (inferiority complex) where the individual resorts to fill the gap has the means and methods of abnormal addictions such as theft and assault. So Turn current research to measure (an inferiority complex among middle school students) and then recognize the significance of differences in feelings of inferiority according to the type variable (male, female) for second grade average in the city of Baghdad to the Directorate of Education Karkh / 2 for the academic year (2015/2016) totaling (19 251) by (10 776) males and (8475) females To achieve these goals, the researcher used measure of inferiority prepared Ayed (2005) and after the application of the scale on all members of society and analyze responses and calculate grades and statistically analyzed for the first goal researcher found warmer feelings of inferiority compared to the theoretical average scale at level (0.05). Either with respect to the second goal researcher he has found significant differences in the sense of inferiority in favor of females at level (0.05). Current search has been agreed with the results of the study as a result of Ayed (2005), which indicated that females are more a sense of inferiority male

Resumen
Introduction: The central concept of the Adlerian theory of personality is the feeling of inferiority, which main function is to activate compensatory processes that make a person want to improve, grow and overcome their perceived weakness (Adler, 1989). The evidence of such processes is the life choices of people in the sphere of education and occupation. Purpose: The main purpose of the present work is to highlight the study results of inferiority and superiority complexes peculiarities of Ukrainians, their relation to the education and occupation choices. Methodology: The study sample included 449 subjects (282 females, 168 male) between 17 and 85 years old (M=32,96, SD = 13.299). Subjects were recruited from the general population by students who participated in the data collection. Participation in the study was voluntary and anonymous. Inferiority and superiority complexes were assessed using Adlerian inferiority (COMPIN) and superiority (SUCOMP) complex shortened scales (Čekrlija et al., 2017); socio-demographic variables such as gender, age, education and occupation were included. Results: Results show that approximately 70% of respondents have an average level of inferiority and superiority complexes. There is no significant correlation between the mentioned complexes and gender, but there is a negative correlation between the inferiority complex and age (r=.187). The younger Ukrainians are the more intensive inferiority complex they have. Occupation correlates negatively with the inferiority complex (r=.-120) and positively with the superiority complex (r=. 119). The more intensive superiority complex is, the higher positions occupy the respondents. Only inferiority complex correlates negatively with a level of education (r=.-160). People with higher education have less intensive inferiority complex. Conclusion: In sum, it is peculiar to Ukrainians to overcome inferiority complex with age. The intensity of their inferiority and superiority complexes doesn’t depend on gender. Ukrainians who occupy the high positions have a lower inferiority complex and higher superiority complex. People with low educational level have inferiority complex propensity

Resumen
Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye (1970) is one of the controversial modern American novels. She is a Noble Prize winner whose works are praised for addressing the harsh consequences of racism and colour issue in America. The story is written during 1941, the Great Depression in which a black family suffers from poverty, colour skin, and familial issues. Pecola Breedlove, as the protagonist, suffers from Inferiority Complex in a dysfunctional family whose desire is to have white skin and blue eyes. The inferiority complex theory was taken from Alfred Adler, whose works are significantly backbone in the world of psychology. The aims of this research are to analyse the personality of Pecola through which she searches for an ideal beauty as a black female character in the novel and to demonstrate the impact of racist attitude and incestuous relationship within a family. The research result shows that Pecola’s lives provide an example of the pain which results from facing Inferiority Complex on which she never sees herself as a complete image of being. It is somewhat broken and lacks self-esteem through which she was seen as a mad woman in the attic.

Resumen
IntroductionSino-Japanese relations appear to have a dual structure which is built into the long history of exchanges and interaction between the two countries. Some phrases such as ichii taisui (“neighbours across the strip of water”) and dobun doshu (“same Chinese characters, same race”) have long been regarded as a symbol of the friendly relationship between the two countries. Such a symbol, however, implies dual and conflicting sentiments of the Japanese and the Chinese, namely the feelings of inferiority and superiority with each other in a hierarchical order of foreign relations in Asia.To be more specific, the Chinese have a superiority complex deriving from their cultural influence in pre-modern history and hatred stemming from Japanese military aggression against China in the modern period, while having an inferiority complex based upon Japan's co-operation in their modernization, and admiration for Japan's advanced economy. On the other hand, the Japanese have an inferiority complex due to their cultural debt to China and the sense of original sin stemming from their past aggression against China, while having a superiority complex based upon their assistance to China's modernization and contempt for China's backwardness.

Resumen
IntroductionThere is currently little evidence for the optimal dosing strategy of four-factor prothrombin complex concentrates (PCC) in vitamin K antagonist (VKA)-related bleeds. The generally accepted dosing strategy is the use of a variable dose calculated using patient-specific characteristics as per manufacturer’s instruction. However, evidence exists that the use of a fixed low dose of 1000 international units of factor IX (IU fIX) might also suffice. Recent studies indicate that in terms of haemostatic effectiveness, the fixed dosing strategy might be even superior to the variable dosing strategy. The PROPER3 (PROthrombin complex concentrate: Prospective Evaluation and Rationalisation, number 3) study aims to confirm the non-inferiority, and explore superiority, in haemostatic effectiveness of the fixed PCC dosing strategy compared with the variable dosing strategy in VKA-related extracranial bleeding emergencies. Methods and analysisThe study is designed as a randomised controlled multicentre non-inferiority trial. Eligibility criteria are an indication for PCC due to VKA-related extracranial bleeding in subjects 18 years of age or older. The control group will receive a variable dose, determined by patient-specific bodyweight and international normalised ratio. The intervention group is dosed a fixed 1000 IU fIX PCC. Primary outcome is the haemostatic effectiveness of both treatments, as defined by the 2016 International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) criteria. The sample size is set at 155 patients per treatment arm, requiring 310 patients in total. Non-inferiority on the proportion (risk) difference of the primary outcome will be evaluated using the asymptotic Wald test for non-inferiority. The non-inferiority margin is set at 6%. The primary analysis will be based on the per-protocol population.Ethics and disseminationStudy results will be published in an international journal, communicated to discipline-specific associations and presented at (inter)national meetings and congresses.Trial registration numberEUCTR2014-000392-33; Pre-results.

Resumen
Summary Throughout most of the history of the discipline, linguists have had little hesitation in comparing languages in terms of their relative complexity, whether or not they extrapolated judgements of superiority or inferiority from such comparisons. By the mid 20th century, however, a consensus had arisen that all languages were of equal complexity. This paper documents and explains the rise of this consensus, as well as the reasons that have led to it being challenged in recent years, from various directions, including language diversity, as analysed by Daniel Everett; arguments about Creoles and Creoloids, as put forward by Peter Trudgill, and others; and views from generative linguistics and evolutionary anthropology.

Resumen
Study planning is particularly complex for survival trials because it usually involves an accrual period and a continued observation period after accrual closure. The three-arm clinical trial design, which includes a test treatment, an active reference, and a placebo control, is the gold standard design for the assessment of non-inferiority. The existing statistical methods of calculating minimal sample size for non-inferiority trials with three-arm design and survival-type endpoints cannot take into consideration the accrual rate of patients to the trial, the length of accrual period, the length of continued observation period after accrual closure, and unbalanced allocation of the total sample size. The purpose of this paper is to develop a statistical method, which allows for all these sources of variability for planning non-inferiority trials with the gold standard design for censored, exponentially distributed time-to-event data. The proposed method is based on the assumption of exponentially distributed failure times and a non-inferiority test formulated in terms of the retention of effect hypotheses. It can be used to calculate the duration of accrual required to assure a desired power for non-inferiority trials with active and placebo control. We illustrate the use of the method by considering a randomized, active- and placebo-controlled trial in depression associated with Parkinson’s disease. We then explore the validity of the proposed method by simulation studies. An R-language program for the implementation of the proposed algorithm is provided as supplementary material.

Resumen
Film is a medium that can be used to convey a message or story in audio and visual form. Film, which also functions as an art medium, can be used to communicate about a social phenomenon that occurs in society. This paper aims to examine social phenomena that occur in society and reflect on these things through the film "Luckiest Man on Earth" and how the inferiority complex affects the stories contained in this film. The fictional film "Luckiest Man on Earth" tells the story of a young man who works as an ojek at a tourism location in Indonesia and meets a woman of French descent. With Google Translate, they can communicate with one another, but this is used by the motorcycle taxi driver as material to show off to friends and relatives that he has a girlfriend of French descent. This film is produced based on the concept of an inferiority complex that is deeply embedded in Indonesian society.

Resumen
Post-communist Central and Eastern European legal cultures in general, and judicial style in particular, are often characterized as formalistic. This article reconstructs two ideological narratives about the formalist heritage of CEE judiciary, variants of which have dominated academic and policy debates about rule of law, judicial reforms and European integration in the last three decades. As the debate becomes linked to deeply rooted and long-term, sometimes traumatic issues of national and political identity, patterns of ideological thinking resurface easily. While it is symptomatic of CEE political cultures that the debate on judicial method has become a battleground for fierce controversies about collective (political) identity, arguably this exemplifies a broader phenomenon. Other weak or peripheral national cultures also face and struggle with issues of collective identity and inferiority complexes which may resurface in professional discourses and seemingly unpolitical domains.

Resumen
Freud's psychoanalytic views of female development emphasized the importance of penis envy and the Oedipus complex. Resolution of the Oedipus complex resulted in a “neurotic” solution, a “masculinity complex ” or a normal feminine attitude involving acceptance of anatomic inferiority, passivity, masochism and narcissism. Modern psychoanalytic views have rejected or reformulated many of these theories. Penis envy is seen as a normal phase of development which is resolved in most women. Women have been found to develop strong, albeit different, super ego structures. The female character triad has been questioned and the role of environmental factors emphasized. Efforts continue to develop a comprehensive well-integrated view of female psychology.

Resumen
Muscovite society during the reign of Ivan iv was hierarchical. Each social class stood in a position of superiority or inferiority toward every other social class. However, each social class also had its own hierarchy of sub-classes. This article examines the internal social pyramids of elite lay society, the dynasty, the boyars, the princes, the gentry, and the secretaries. It concludes that by the sixteenth century, Muscovite society already possessed a complex and sophisticated social structure.

Resumen
Many Critical Race Theorists today are focusing not on overt forms of racism, but instead on subtler, insinuated perpetrations. These include but are not limited to visual microaggressions. Microaggressions are embedded in everyday interactions within society and serve as subconscious visual reminders to People of Colour of their inferiority and hierarchical subjugation. I argue in this paper that the White Saviour Complex (WSC), typically seen in an imperialistic sense in the West versus Africa dichotomy, can also be studied in the visual mainstream media of Western countries. Therefore, representations of WSC in media act as visual microaggressions towards People of Colour and reinforce racial and intersectional hierarchies present in Western colonial societies. This is argued in examining three case studies from USA, Australia, and Canada. This paper then addresses possible criticisms and critiques of this position through an examination of allyship in relation to WSC.

Resumen
Abstract Background Venous thromboembolism is treated with heparins, followed by a vitamin K antagonist. It would be desirable to replace this complex approach with one simple anticoagulant regimen. Methods We conducted two randomized, open-label trials involving 2904 patients with deep-vein thrombosis and 2215 patients with pulmonary embolism to compare efficacy and safety of idraparinux alone versus standard therapy, and document non-inferiority for efficacy. Patients received either idraparinux (2.5 mg once-weekly, subcutaneously), or low-molecular-weight heparin/unfractionated heparin with adjusted-dose vitamin K antagonists, for three or six months. The primary efficacy outcome was the three-month incidence of symptomatic recurrent venous thromboembolism (nonfatal or fatal). Results In the deep-vein thrombosis study the incidence of recurrence at day 92 was 2.9 percent with idraparinux and 3.0 percent in controls (odds ratio 0.98, 95 percent confidence interval 0.63 to 1.50), satisfying the pre-specified non-inferiority requirement. The six-month hazard ratio was 1.01. The incidence of clinically relevant bleeding at day 92 was 4.5 percent and 7.0 percent , respectively (P<0.01). By six months bleeding rates were similar. In the pulmonary embolism study the incidence of recurrence at day 92 was 3.4 percent with idraparinux and 1.6 percent in controls (odds ratio 2.14, 95 percent confidence interval 1.21 to 3.78), excluding non-inferiority. Conclusion In patients with deep-vein thrombosis, once-weekly subcutaneous idraparinux for three or six months had similar efficacy and safety as heparins and vitamin K antagonists, while, in pulmonary embolism, this regimen was less efficacious than standard anticoagulant therapy which had an unexpectedly low recurrence rate.

Resumen
One of the most important parameters of health in children is growth. Stunted growth leads to the development of inferiority complex in patients and often hampers social self-realization. Over the past two decades, the Republic of Tatarstan has been actively diagnosing and treating growth hormone deficiency in children with short stature. Children with isolated growth hormone deficiency receive monotherapy with recombinant growth hormone. Early treatment of children with growth hormone deficiency led to an improvement in anthropometric parameters and, consequently, psychological and social adaptation of this group of patients.

Resumen
Abstract This article analyses Devlet Ana, Kemal Tahir’s novel on the rise of the Ottomans, within the scope of the politics of history. Through an analysis of Tahir’s novel, the article reveals the political and ideological forces that brought about a reactionary, monolithic, and totalising understanding of history and historiography in the Turkish literary institution. The article argues that despite Tahir’s allegedly Marxist framing, his understanding of history—driven by an inferiority complex and Westophobia—hardly goes beyond an ethical binarism in which absolute good or evil racial and civilisational nature determines everything.

Resumen
AimTo discuss ethical issues related to a complex study (PROFID) involving the development of a new, partly artificial intelligence-based, prediction model to enable personalised decision-making about the implantation of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) in postmyocardial infarction patients, and a parallel non-inferiority and superiority trial to test decision-making informed by that model.MethodThe position expressed in this paper is based on an analysis of the PROFID trials using concepts from high-profile publications in the ethical literature.ResultsWe identify ethical issues related to the testing of the model in the treatment setting, and to both the superiority and the non-inferiority trial. We underline the need for ethical-empirical studies about these issues, also among patients, as a parallel to the actual trials. The number of ethics committees involved is an organisational, but also an ethical challenge.ConclusionThe PROFID trials, and probably other studies of similar scale and complexity, raise questions that deserve dedicated parallel ethics and social science research, but do not constitute a generic obstacle. A harmonisation procedure, comparable to the Voluntary Harmonization Procedure (VHP) for medication trials, could be needed for this type of trials.

Resumen
Ever since the first encounter between Columbus and Native Americans, the West has embarked on a subtle process of “Otherizing” non-whites as a means to maintain its hegemonic power over the subalternized groups. This strategy was also employed by the dominant whites in the United States, where a stereotypical representation of black slaves served as a justification for the institution of slavery. Through depicting blacks as irrational, lascivious, and eternally damned with a deviant pigmentation, the racist representational strategy turned into a useful instrument to subjugate African slaves. Under such circumstances, blacks, merely due to their different skin color, were barred from having any major contribution to the sociopolitical or cultural spheres. Frantz Fanon was one of the critics concerned with the psychological effects of racism on the colonized subject. He believed racis m would eventually cause an inferiority complex in black-skinned subjects who found themselves unable to effect any alteration in the discriminatory status quo; in other words, the white dominators would gradually compel blacks to internalize the negative stereotypes of their skin color which portrayed blackness as the symbol of vice and depravity. According to Fanon, this would finally bring about blacks‟ self-hatred and their efforts to behave like powerful whites, a process which he called epidermalization of inferiority. The process of epidermalization is conspicuous in African American community, where the degrees of blackness or whiteness have become the index of assigning or denying privileges, a hierarchical system which is called colorism. As a case study, Zora Neale Hurston‟s play Color Struck (1925) is analyzed in this paper to demonstrate the entrenched presence of coloris m and epidermalization of inferiority in African American community, all of which attest to the preponderance of white ideological force and the coercion of blacks into the internalization of stereotypes as a means of survival.

Resumen
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of alienation of peasants from the land in the period from the mid-1960s to mid-1980s in the context of the agrarian policy carried out during these years. The analysis of the complex nature of this problem is given on the basis of the extensive material of journalistic works by “village prose” writers, on the basis of archival and other historical sources. The author identifies and studies reasons for the alienation of the peasantry from the land in those years, such as: further stateization, centralization and concentration of agricultural production; its centralized planning; introduction of guaranteed wages; negative impact from the media and popular culture; rural inferiority complex; lack of brides in the countryside; the policy of eliminating unpromising villages.

Resumen
Abstract Handwashing instructions vary in complexity, with some recommending multiple steps. To assess whether complex handwashing instructions changed handwashing procedure replication, we conducted a randomized non-inferiority trial in a low-income area, Dhaka. We randomly assigned mothers and children aged 5–10 years to one of three handwashing instruction sets: simple (N = 85 mothers/134 children), moderate (N = 75 mothers/148 children), or complex (84 mothers/147 children). Simple instructions had three steps: wet, lather, and rinse hands, and moderate included the simple instructions plus steps to scrub palms, backs of hands, and dry hands in the air. Complex instructions included moderate instructions plus steps to scrub between fingers, under nails, and lather for 20 s. After baseline, cue cards were used to promote handwashing instructions, and adherence after 2 weeks of interventions was evaluated. Compliance with handwashing procedure replication to all instructions in simple, moderate, and complex increased after the intervention among mothers and children. Compliance to all instructions in the simple group was higher in the simple group (100%) compared to all instructions in moderate (47%) and complex instruction groups (38%). Simple handwashing steps are easier to remember for long time periods compared to complex steps.

The article deals with negative aspects of Russia’s representations in Polish public discourse and the mechanisms of their reproduction. It is not as much focused on the historical roots of Polish images of Russia as on the functions they play in the logic of Polish national identity. Additionally, the article attempts to theorize certain aspects of the production of Russia’s image in Poland. A particular reference is made to the center-periphery paradigm and the psychological notion of the inferiority complex. In the conclusion, functions of the image of Russia in Polish discourse are interpreted in the framework of the theory of capitals of Pierre Bourdieu.

Resumen
With the apparent liberalisation of laws controlling tertiary education in South Africa, and with the revolutionary challenges to the educational system in the black townships, university English departments have increasingly had to confront problems of identity and definition; the view of literature in educational institutions as the transmission of a received and inherited canonical tradition, a particular privileging of certain kinds of linguistic discourse over others, must be located within a specific social and political history. Unless the discipline embraces the problems of cultural relativism, it will be incapable of contributing to peoples' compassionate alertness to what South African is or might become. English needs to develop empirical methodologies whereby the corrosive implications of subordination might be addressed. The realm of symbolic and signifying practices (which English studies defines as its particular though not exclusive domain) needs to be seen as a site where contestation might happen, where exploration occurs of new and altered social relationships, perceptions of the self and others, and centrally to an awareness of black culture, the complex alternatives of private and public thought. English as a discipline needs greater reflexivity about its place in a multi-cultural, multi-racial society.

Resumen
As we begin to cover the events that immediately preceded the proclamation of the unification act of 1596, we do not think it necessary to prove how complex and responsible the case is. After all, despite the multifaceted nature of the phenomenon, which will later be called the Union of Brest, it is difficult for the researcher to abstract from its consequences, which had a significant impact on the course of the church and religious process of the last four centuries in its regional and Christian community as a whole. It is not easy to understand the religious semantics of this fateful event, which was closely connected with the complex of concepts of state and cultural content. Therefore, we emphasize the self-evident: in the systemic order, Orthodox hypodynamism, which had its worst manifestation in the cultural inferiority of local self-sufficiency, was bound to become a brake on mature church-religious transformations.
