Texto completoStraits of Bonifacio (south of Corsica) are known for their strong hydrodynamic and the presence of an elaborate and complex marine ecosystem, managed by an international reserve. To have a good knowledge of the water where lives this biomass, the in-situ measurements (currentologic and hydrologic) have been made during 7 oceanographic cruises (CYRCE). Thanks to the current recordings, made by two ADCP (current profiler), one moored, and the other boarded on N/o Tethys II (INSU-CNRS), the current conditions managing the environment are described, on the whole, and by the study of different cases connected with two prevailing winds (NE and SW). The statistic processing of data and their integration by a numeric meshing of the area has allowed a first approach of the current system main phenomenon. The temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity and fluorescence data have showed the characteristic structures and their variability in space and time. Finally the 3D simulation model Symphonie (laboratoire POC-CNRS-Toulouse) is adapted to strait of Bonifacio on nearly one year. This model, has first broaden our currentologic view on the parts not covered by the in-situ measurements, and second has allowed to compare the in-situ and simulated data. Moreover, the implemented tools of the model, have allowed simulations of larvae dispersion from fishing box and simulations of the material dilution. These simulations were done by virtual tracer releases, whose evolution is followed during several days, under different configurations
Ternengo, Sonia. "Caractérisation des communautés de parasites de poissons de la réserve naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio". Corte, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2004CORT3081.
Texto completoA parasitic study on fish was carried out in the Bonifacio Strait marine reserve (south corsica). The composition of the parasite communities of 21 fish species is described. A total of 77 parasite species is listed. The parisitic loads are specific to each fish species. In spite of everything. , hysterothylacium fabri, gnathia sp. And helicometra fasciata are three generalist parasite species fréquently found in various fishes. Through the indices of Shannon-Wiener and Simpson, the paratic diversity of fishes of the marine reserve is described like weak. Conger conger appears as the fish with the most varied parasitic fauna while diplodus puntazzo presents lowest parasitic diversity. Statistical methods characterize the potential interactions between the parasite species and the host-species, the host-individuals or the host-ecosystems. The host-species is the determinant factor on the composition of the parasite communities. The specificity of parasite species for their host is very marked. Indeed, the Partial Canonical Correspondence Analyses indicate that 24,6 % of the variance in the parasite communities are explained by the variable host-species. The indicator Species Analyses link abundances and prevalences of the parasites to some fish species. Moreover, indices of specificity show that the majority of species can be regarded as specific. Monogenea seem to be specialists and the specificity of the instestinal parasites for their host is less important. The host-individual has few influence on the parasitic assemblages. Partial Canonical Correspondence Analyses show that the variance in the communities is explained only to 0,9 % by the host size. The host-ecosystem also occurs in the structure of the communities of fish parasites. It is responsible for 1,9 % of the variance in the parasitic assemblages. The Indicator Species Analyses show that the parasitic loads of various fishes can be related to some areas and in particular to that of Pianottoli. It is also in this area that parasitic diversity is highest. On the contrary, the sector of the Lavezzi islands, placed in Marine Reserve since 1982, does not have more significant richnesses and parasitic densities. Thus, the reserve impact in not obvious on the parasite communities of the various studies fishes

Texto completoMarine protected areas (MPA) are relevant research objects to study territorial dynamics and sustainable development. These spaces can also be application laboratories for implementation of evaluation multicriteria methodologies, to appraise, in the time, management efficiency and environmental governance. So, we present theory and concepts of management, governance, sustainable development, evaluative approaches such economic analyses of projects, direct or indirect monetary techniques, outranking. Then, the marine natural Park of lroise's sea and natural reserve of Bonifacio will be taken as case studies, through their patrimonial value, socio-economic activities, public policies of management, their impacts on natural environment, environmental risks, modes of governance and other evaluation exercises. Finally, we propose a critical analysis of marine management's evaluation in Port-Cros, and present a singular ex-post evaluation of annual fishing situations in natural reserve of Bonifacio adopted by its scientific council and aiding to evaluate the first management planning. We realized an appropriate outranking modelling, providing a more realistic vision of effectiveness than indicators without thresholds (indifference, preference and veto), and lighting monitoring

Texto completoThese last decades have been characterized by a great development of fishing techniques, contributing to the overexploitation of numerous marine fish stocks. In order to limit this collapse and to restore impacted communities, the implementation of management measures was necessary. Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), initially developed to protect remarkable habitats and associated biodiversity, are more and more used as a tool for spatial management of fishing activities, by adult export and/or larvae migrations from protected zones to surrounding fisheries. The aim of this PhD was to evaluate using indicators and predictive models (i) the impact of the Bonifacio Strait Natural Reserve (Corse) implementation on fish communities and (ii) the benefits of such management measures for the local artisanal fishery. We then developed a model and tested (iii) management scenarios for maintaining the spiny lobster resource, en decline in the reserve, into a sustainable exploitation way.Artisanal fishery catch data from south Corsica has permitted to highlight the indirect impact of recreational fishing on exploited fish communities structure and biomass. Whereas a decrease of the fishing effort may contribute to increasing catches per unit effort (CPUE), the analysis using response groups helped us to reveal differentiated increase of the artisanal fishery catches considering the interest of species to spearfishing. Moreover, we noticed than even if the BSNR legislation represents a benefit for many species, it is not sufficient for the emblematic red spiny lobster recover. Indicators issued from the ISIS-Fish model showed that higher restrictions on this resource access are necessary in the objective of sustainable fisheries
