Throughout the arc of a career in medicine, physicians are universally faced with the difficult decision of when to provide care for a colleague and when to refer to another physician. Gauging the magnitude of your relationship, both professionally and personally, and then weighing how to add the roles of physician and patient to your preexisting relationship is complex. We review and discuss care of family and colleagues, address ethical boundaries both firm and flexible, and explore the emotional weight of those relationships.

However, virtual social relations carry risks, one of which is Cyberstalking (Rohman & Sugeng 2022) Cyberstalking is a dangerous cybercrime and targets many people, communities, and organizations (Baer, 2020) As a crime, cyberstalking fulfills the elements of a criminal act which results in disruption of social order (Wall, 2007). It is unclear whether sensitivity to stress associated with ethnic minority/immigrant status may be affected by severe exposure to mass trauma. We examined whether the loss of loved ones or home due to a disaster is associated with more persistent disaster-related distress in ethnic minorities compared with Dutch natives in the Netherlands. In residents affected by a fireworks disaster ( N = 1029), we assessed disaster-related distress after 3 weeks, 18 months, and 4 years. The effects of loss of loved o

AbstractIris Murdoch believes that unselfing is required for virtue, as it takes us out of our egoistic preoccupations, and connects us to the Good in the world.
