Resumen
ABSTRACT: Influence diagrams are presented as a complement to analytical methods for solving capacity-planning and pricing problems under uncertainty. An influence diagram model that permits continuous decision variables is used to determine optimal decision rules for a single product monopolist making capacity and price selections once per period. Solutions under different scenarios based on the timing of actual demand observations and the ability to adjust initial capacity are compared to previous solutions in the literature. The results demonstrate that optimal decision rules for capacity and price determined using influence diagrams closely approximate those found using analytical approaches. The influence diagram is used to determine the effect of changing demand function parameters on the optimal solutions. Additionally, the influence diagram model can be adapted to solve capacity-planning problems that do not meet the assumptions required to obtain analytical solutions or heuristics in previous studies.

Resumen
Nowaday, we require higher capacity and ductility of structural member particulary in reinforced concret column in construction world. One way to improve the ductility and carrying capacity of concrete is confining the concrete. To investigate the effects of external confinement on column capacity, an analytical study is carried out. A steel ring external confinement is used in this study. The stress-strain diagrams design for confined concrete are developed by considering different proposed confined models based on width variations of the steel ring. The test results showed that steel ring are effective as external confinement in confining the concrete. Capability of concrete to support load simultaneously is increasing along the width of the ring. Its effect on column capacity is studied in terms of load – moment interaction diagram of column. The presence of external reinforcement expands the interaction diagram of the column particularly when it is in the compression-controlled region.

Resumen
An improved capacity-demand-diagram method that uses the well-known constant-ductility design spectrum for the demand diagram is developed and illustrated by examples. This method estimates the deformation of inelastic SDF systems consistent with the selected inelastic design spectrum, while retaining the attraction of graphical implementation of the ATC-40 Nonlinear Static Procedure. One version of the improved method is graphically similar to ATC-40 Procedure A whereas the second version is graphically similar to ATC-40 Procedure B. However, the improved procedures differ from ATC-40 procedures in one important sense. The demand diagram used is different: the constant-ductility demand diagram for inelastic systems in the improved procedure versus the elastic demand diagram in ATC-40 for equivalent linear systems. The improved method can be conveniently implemented numerically if its graphical features are not important to the user. Such a procedure, based on equations relating the yield strength reduction factor, Ry, and ductility factor, μ, for different period, Tn, ranges, has been presented, and illustrated by examples using three different Ry - μ - Tn relations.

Resumen
In graph theory, a graph is given names—generally a whole number—to edges, vertices, or both in a chart. Formally, given a graph G = ( V , E ) , a vertex naming is a capacity from V to an arrangement of marks. A diagram with such a capacity characterized defined is known as a vertex-marked graph. Similarly, an edge naming is a mapping of an element of E to an arrangement of marks. In this case, the diagram is called an edge-marked graph. We consider an edge irregular reflexive k-labeling for the disjoint association of wheel-related diagrams and deduce the correct estimation of the reflexive edge strength for the disjoint association of m copies of some wheel-related graphs, specifically gear graphs and prism graphs.

Resumen
The paper deals with the problems and ambiguities that were solved while developing a computer program capable of constructing accurate interaction diagrams. These problems are not satisfactorily described in available literature. Within the paper, amongst other things, the issue of strain of concrete at the ultimate load capacity of a cross-section is also discussed. The developed computer program is available for free and it is possible to use it for the calculation and construction of an interaction diagram of a doubly reinforced rectangular cross-section. More specifically, it provides a subprogram that constructs a simplified point interaction diagram as well as a subprogram that constructs an accurate interaction diagram assuming complex nonlinear stress-strain behaviour of materials.

Resumen
Architectural drawing is changing because architects today draw with computers. Due to this change digital diagrams employed by computational architectural practices are often emphasized as powerful structures of control and organisation in the design process. But there are also diagrams, which do not follow computational logic worth paying attention to. In the following I will investigate one such other kind of diagram, a sketch diagram, which has a play-like capacity where rules can be invented and changed as you go. In that way, sketch diagrams are related to steered indeterminacy and authorial ways of directing behaviour of artefacts and living things without controlling this behaviour completely. I analyse a musical composition by John Cage as an example of a sketch diagram, and then hypothesize that orthogonal, architectural drawing can work in similar ways. Thereby I hope to point out important affordance of architectural drawing as a ¬hybrid between the openness of hand-sketching and the rule-basedness of diagramming, an affordance which might be useful in the migrational zone of current architectural drawing where traditional hand drawing techniques and computer drawing techniques are being combined with each other.

Resumen
The article presents the results of a theoretical study of the process of regulating the load diagram while compensating its random component by connecting a group of kinetic energy storages devices to the power supply system of the administrative building. Daily load diagrams of the administrative building are presented in the form of an additive model. The definition of the law of load distribution is validated. The structure of group of kinetic power storages connecting to the power supply system of administrative building has been developed to compensate the random component of the load diagram. A method of load diagrams equalizing by random component compensating is proposed. Application of the proposed method of load equalizing will allow controlling effectively the capacity of load in the building’s internal power supply system.

Resumen
Introduction. An experimental study on variability of deformation characteristics of concrete and an assessment of its influence on the bearing capacity of eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements were performed. In pursuance of effective regulatory documents, a non-linear deformation model was applied to perform the strength analysis of standard cross sections of reinforced concrete structures. The application of this method in probabilistic design is also of interest. Analytical functions approximating the true σ–ε diagram, made for concrete, use strength and deformation characteristics of concrete as parameters. However, variability of deformation characteristics of concrete has not been sufficiently studied, although it may have significant influence on results of analyses. Materials and methods. Complete σ–ε diagrams were made for uniaxially compressed concrete to solve this problem. These diagrams were applied to numerically assess the influence of variability of deformation characteristics of concrete on the bearing capacity of an eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete element in terms of its standard cross section. A non-linear deformation model was used to identify the bearing capacity. Results. The experiment has proven substantial variation of diagram shapes within the same strength class. The influence of the εb0 value of ultimate deformations of concrete on the bearing capacity is demonstrated for a standard cross section as a result of the strength analysis of an eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete element. The strength analysis was performed by applying experimental σ–ε diagrams made for uniaxially compressed concrete. Conclusions. The analysis of the findings has shown that the value of ultimate deformations of concrete exposed to uniaxial compression affects the bearing capacity of eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements. The degree of influence depends on concrete strength, reinforcement percentage and the eccentricity of a longitudinal force.

Resumen
A probabilistic approach to the analysis of the bearing capacity of jack-up spud can foundations is described. The procedure includes three steps: (i) a priori deterministic and probabilistic calculation of bearing capacity interaction diagram for the soil foundation under each leg of the jack up, (ii) updating of the interaction diagram from the measured vertical preloading values, and (iii) one-leg component and multileg system reliability analyses of the structure under environmental loads. The probabilistic formulation is based on the first- and second-order reliability approximations. An example calculation of a jack-up spud can structure on a layered clay profile is made to illustrate the procedure. Key words : jack up, bearing capacity, probabilistic analysis, system reliability.

Resumen
The presence of demand uncertainty brings challenges to network design problems (NDP), because fluctuations in origin-destination (OD) demand have a prominent effect on the corresponding total travel time, which is usually adopted as an index to evaluate the network design problem. Fortunately, the macroscopic fundamental diagram (MFD) has been proved to be a property of the road network itself, independent of the origin-destination demand. Such characteristics of an MFD provide a new theoretical basis to assess the traffic network performance and further appraise the quality of network design strategies. Focusing on improving network capacity under the NDP framework, this paper formulates a bi-level programming model, where at the lower level, flows are assigned to the newly extended network subject to user equilibrium theory, and the upper level determines which links should be added to achieve the maximum network capacity. To solve the proposed model, we design an algorithm framework, where traffic flow distribution of each building strategy is calculated under the dynamic user equilibrium (DUE), and updated through the VISSIM-COM-Python interaction. Then, the output data are obtained to shape MFDs, and k-means clustering algorithm is employed to quantify the MFD-based network capacity. Finally, the methodology is implemented in a test network, and the results show the benefits of using the MFD-based method to solve the network design problem under stochastic OD demands. Specifically, the capacity paradox is also presented in the test results.

This paper describes the basic principles of dipartition of the power supply area and uses Voronoi diagram on the dipartition of the power supply area. This paper put forward a model of improved Voronoi diagram based on the basic Voronoi diagram. Depending on the existing transformer substation’s capacity and power supply area surrounding the spatial distribution of the load, we determine weights based on the main transformer capacity and the spatial distribution of the load. In the process of generating the power supply area, we adjust the weights depending on different regions ofthe spatial distribution of heavy load to generate the power supply area based on improved Voronoi diagram model. Then we adjust according to the basic principles of the power supply area and the result based on improved Voronoi diagram model to generate the final result. Compared to the traditional division based on artificial experience, it can reflect rationality of the power supply, improve the accuracy of the partition.

Vehicular trajectories are firstly achieved on the basis of vehicle time and space information obtained from VISSIM simulation. Via simulating setting loop detectors at different locations and collecting traffic data in different time intervals, different traffic flow fundamental diagrams on the basis of the detect data are then generated. Finally, comparing these fundamental diagrams, two conclusions are achieved. The loop detective interval has a significant impact on fundamental diagrams while the detector location has an extremely limited influence. Particularly, fundamental diagram is more aggregated with longer data collecting interval and capacity is more easily to be obtained with longer distance between neighboring loop detectors.

Resumen
The calculation consists of two stages. The first one begins with the definition of their class, bearing capacity at temperature of 20 °C, according to EN 1992-1-1. At the second stage, the calculation at high temperatures shall be carried out in accordance with Eurocode 4 part 1-2. Comparison of the “stress-strain” diagram of concrete of class 30 under compression and temperature of 20 °C in two formulas showed their difference. That is, the designers do not have the opportunity to continue the calculation of diagrams at different heating temperatures. There was a need to improve the mathematical model of the “stress-strain” ratio of concrete high temperatures, clarification of the criteria of the bearing capacity of concrete in calculation of the fire resistance of composite structures in EN 1994-1-2:2005. In this paper, the method of determination of εcu1,θ developed has allowed, based on the energy approach, to formulate the corrected dependence of the limit deformation on temperature, dependence of the maximum deformation on temperature, and the value of the parameters of the “stress-strain” diagram. According to these data, using the formulas of the first stage, the “stress-strain” diagrams of the concrete of class 30 are calculated at the compression and heating according to EN 1992-1-2:2004.

Resumen
Evaluating the reliability of Multistate Flow Network (MFN) is an NP-hard problem. Ordered binary decision diagram (OBDD) or variants thereof, such as multivalued decision diagram (MDD), are compact and efficient data structures suitable for dealing with large-scale problems. Two symbolic algorithms for evaluating the reliability of MFN, MFN_OBDD and MFN_MDD, are proposed in this paper. In the algorithms, several operating functions are defined to prune the generated decision diagrams. Thereby the state space of capacity combinations is further compressed and the operational complexity of the decision diagrams is further reduced. Meanwhile, the related theoretical proofs and complexity analysis are carried out. Experimental results show the following: (1) compared to the existing decomposition algorithm, the proposed algorithms take less memory space and fewer loops. (2) The number of nodes and the number of variables of MDD generated in MFN_MDD algorithm are much smaller than those of OBDD built in the MFN_OBDD algorithm. (3) In two cases with the same number of arcs, the proposed algorithms are more suitable for calculating the reliability of sparse networks.

Resumen
This article examines flexural reinforced concrete structures condition assessment process in existing buildings on the stage where the reinforcement stress is between the yield and the tensile strength. The research is made on V. Jokūbaitis proposed methodology directly measuring the compression zone height, allowing us to evaluate the behavior of reinforced concrete beam fracture sufficiently precisely. This paper confirms the hypothesis that, when reinforcement reaches yielding stress, elastic strain dominates in concrete‘s compression zone and it is reasonable to use triangular concrete compression zone diagram, without tensile concrete above crack evaluation. The methodology of reinforced concrete structures bearing capacity assessment according to limit normal section crack depth is proposed. There is established connection between bending moments, when reinforcement achieve yielding stress and tensile strength, which allows us to decide about structures bearing capacity reserve. The results are confirmed with experimental studies and calculated values obtained by methodologies based on different reduced stress diagrams of concrete‘s compressive zone.

Resumen
The output characteristics of a planetary (orbital) hydraulic motor could be significantly improved if the kinematic diagrams for its working fluid distribution system are chosen correctly and substantiated. Fluctuations in the flow of the power fluid cause pulsation in the cavity of the input pressure of the hydraulic motor. This results to vibration of the hydraulic system elements. Thus, the hydraulic motor can be considered as a source of pulsation which leads to functional failures of the hydraulic system. As they run at low rotational speeds with high torque, planetary hydraulic motors are commonly applied for a hydraulic drive in active working tools of self-propelled machinery. It has been established that one of the main components of a planetary hydraulic motor, which causes pressure pulsations, is its distribution system. The frequency and amplitude of these pulsations depends on the kinematic diagram for the distribution system of the power fluid. Therefore, we studied how the kinematic diagram for the distribution system effects on the output characteristics of a planetary motor. Since the change in the capacity of a distribution system with various kinematic diagrams influences on the output characteristics of a planetary motor, the impact was investigated. The kinematic diagrams, which improve the output characteristics of planetary hydraulic motors, were justified.

Resumen
The most comfortable way to present capacity is M-N interaction curve diagram (bending moment and longitudinal force). Graph of M-N most commonly appears as a function, where an axial force is the argument and the bending moment is the value. This work introduce a formation of the curve way, where the the rotation angle of the strain diagram is the argument, and the full strain diagram is the value. Using the complete state of the strain of the cross section, enables easy calculation the M-N forces using stress-strain diagram for a given material. Interaction graph is based on parabola-rectangle diagram for concrete and the graph with inclined top branch with strain limit for reinforcing steel. The method has no restrictions due to the concrete class.

Resumen
Milled peat harvesting with pneumatic harvesting machines has a number of doubtless advantages over mechanical harvesting: operating time decreases down to 1 day, additional milling of wet peat deposit during the harvesting is not needed, list of necessary machinery decreases. However, in the late 1980s, due to the imperfection of the design of pneumatic machines, this method began to be used less and less frequently. Market appearance of KTT-2 and MPTU-30 pneumatic harvesting machines promoted their introduction into operating processes of peat extractive companies. According to feedback from operators, these machines work well with high-moor peat but work much worse with low- moor peat which is of higher density. One of basic parameters of pneumatic harvesting is suction velocity, that’s why field experiment for evaluation of KTT-2 machine suction nozzle performance was held. Experiment results enabled us to plot velocity diagram of suction flow and find maximum suction velocity: 26.74 m/s. Velocity diagram analysis showed distance from the nozzle – air flow speed relation. We calculated size of suction flow’s active area and offered methods of active area sizing.

Resumen
The supply–demand relationship of urban public service facilities is the key to measuring a city’s service level and quality, and a balanced supply–demand relationship is an important indicator that reflects the optimal allocation of resources. To address the problem presented by the unbalanced distribution of educational resources, this paper proposes a dynamic Voronoi diagram algorithm with conditional constraints (CCDV). The CCDV method uses the Voronoi diagram to divide the plane so that the distance from any position in each polygon to the point is shorter than the distance from the polygon to the other points. In addition, it can overcome the disadvantage presented by the Voronoi diagram’s inability to use the nonspatial attributes of the point set to precisely constrain the boundary range; the CCDV method can dynamically plan and allocate according to the school’s capacity and the number of students in the coverage area to maintain a balance between supply and demand and achieve the optimal distribution effect. By taking the division of school districts in the Bao’an District, Shenzhen, as an example, the method is used to obtain a school district that matches the capacity of each school, and the relative error between supply and demand fluctuates only from −0.1~0.15. According to the spatial distribution relationship between schools and residential areas in the division results, the schools in the Bao’an District currently have an unbalanced distribution in some areas. A comparison with the existing school district division results shows that the school district division method proposed in this paper has advantages. Through a comprehensive analysis of the accessibility of public facilities and of the balance of supply and demand, it is shown that school districts based on the CCDV method can provide a reference for the optimal layout of schools and school districts.

Resumen
The paper considers the problem of the ultimate load finding for structures made of a material with different limits of tensile strength and compression. The modulus of elasticity under tension and compression is the same. It is assumed that upon reaching the ultimate strength, the material is deformed indefinitely. The calculations use a simplified material deformation diagram — Prandtl diagrams. The limiting state of a solid rectangular section under the action of a longitudinal force and a bending moment is considered. The dependences describing the boundary of the strength of a rectangular cross section are obtained. Formulas allowing the calculation of the values of the limit forces and under the action of which the cross section passes into the plastic state are derived. Examples of the analytical calculation of the maximum load for the frame and two-hinged arch are given. An algorithm is proposed and a program for calculating arbitrary flat rod systems according to the limit state using the finite element method is compiled. The proposed algorithm does not involve the use of iterative processes, which leads to an exact calculation of the maximum load within the accepted assumptions.

Resumen
In reinforced concrete columns design, P-M interaction diagram is used as axial load control and column bending without taking into account the effect of lateral reinforcement bars. Design principles that ignore the effect of reinforcement bars will result in low value of actual axial capacity of column. This paper presents the effect of lateral reinforcement with a case study of square-sectional columns on high-strength concrete. The equation of unconfined concrete strength enhancement is based on Mander, Legeron, Imran, Antonius and Muguruma models. The reviewed parameters include compressive strength of concrete, reinforcement configuration, and spacings of confinement. The result of the analysis is a comparison of P-M diagram based on confinement models. It shows that confinement significantly influences axial capacity of column, yet it has a certain collapse point at point P = 0 in all models. This is caused by longitudinal reinforcement system. Configuration of reinforcement, spacing and confinement models greatly affects the collapse behavior of column, whether the collapse is classified as compressive collapse or tensile collapse based on the P-M diagram.

Resumen
Abstract Unreasonable development and utilization of resources has caused serious environmental problems, especially water shortage and water pollution. Determining the largest population size and economic scale that water resources can support without destroying the ecological environment in a region, that is, ultimate water resources carrying capacity (UWRCC), helps to realize the sustainable utilization of water resources. UWRCC is a variable value which is easily affected by natural conditions, technical level and economic status. This study proposes a UWRCC research method that combines multi-objective optimization and scenario analysis. This method draws a diagram of UWRCC result sets based on multi-scenario UWRCC calculation, through which UWRCC values under different specific technical and economic levels are easily and quickly obtained. This method has been applied to Yancheng in this study and the quantitative relationship between technical level, economic level and UWRCC of Yancheng was analyzed. Taking Yancheng as the research area, this study analyzes the quantitative relationship between the technical level, economic level and UWRCC of Yancheng. The results show that according to existing government planning, Yancheng's water resources will be sufficient to support socioeconomic development. But the districts of Yandu, Tinghu, and Binghai will experience population and gross domestic product overloading in future years. In addition, a diagram of the UWRCC sets of Yancheng was obtained and it provides a reference for local water resources management.

This paper succeeded in utilizing cellular automata (CA) model to simulate the process of the train operation under the four-aspect color light system and getting the nonperiodic diagram of the mixed passenger and freight tracks. Generally speaking, the concerned models could simulate well the situation of wagon in preventing trains from colliding when parking and restarting and of the real-time changes the situation of train speeds and displacement and get hold of the current train states in their departures and arrivals. Finally the model gets the train diagram that simulates the train operation in different ratios of the van and analyzes some parameter characters in the process of train running, such as time, speed, through capacity, interval departing time, and departing numbers.

Resumen
Introduction: Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is characterised by chronic widespread pain and tender points on palpation. FMS is associated with depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleep disorders, and functional bowel disorders that can intensify painful feelings, altering functional capacity and quality of life. The health provider usually identifies these conditions through assessment and monitoring tools and recordsthe results on paper. Failure to use electronic information systems, which have specific methodology for the integration of Health Information Systems, hampers the applicability of these methods in clinical practice and does not allow visualisation and comparison of the results in a simple manner. Objective: To propose an information system for assessing and monitoring patients with FMS (SISFIBRO). Method: The first phase consisted of data collection to select evaluation and monitoring methods used by doctors, physical therapists, rheumatologists, and specialists in fibromyalgia. Next, we performed the modelling of the system in the Unified Modelling Language (UML). Based on the diagram of classes, we performed conceptual data modelling with entity-relationship diagrams. The prototype was implemented with the SISFIBRO Oracle database. Below, we included data from 36 patients with FMS to analyse whether the system provided all of the information and necessary functions. Results: In Brazil, most of the professionals (82.4%) record and store patient data on paper charts, and 17.6% do so using electronic systems. The most widely used instruments and methods arethe visual analogue scale (VAS) SF-36, theFibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ), evaluation of tender points according to the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and the Beck Depression Scale; all are available in SISFIBRO. We developed 1 diagram of use, 1 diagram of classes, 6 diagrams of objects, and 5 diagrams of sequences. We decided that SISFIBRO must be integrated with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for the recording, storing, sharing, and retrieving of the information. This integration will assist in the clinical practice of health professionals. Conclusion: It was possible to create a system with the reliability needed to support and improve the assessment and treatment of FMS.

Resumen
AbstractThe purpose of this article is to explore the concept of diagram and diagrammatic reasoning involving semiotics in its three branches and not only in speculative grammar. We will concentrate on the apprehension of the movement of reasoning, which diagrammatically begins with speculative grammar, runs through critical logic, and consolidates at methodeutics. We seek to apply the trichotomic logic of Peirce to list the modes of reasoning with diagrams. Our intention is to move away from the categorization as taxonomy, and try to understand how sign classes can be used in the inferential process. Thus, considering a possible relationship between the hypoicon, the three classes of iconic signs in the system of ten classes of signs, and the methods of inference, we suggest three subclasses of diagrams in inferential terms that may offer a grading system, which would present degrees of accuracy or probative capacity.

Resumen
The subject of this paper is the impact of road lighting on the capacity of uninterrupted motorway sections. A capacity estimation method was used that is based on extrapolation of the free-flow part of the fundamental diagram representing the relation between flow rate and density. The method assumes that the density at capacity is not affected by illumination, which implies that capacity shifts are fully the result of speed changes. The method was applied in a Dutch case study. In a before-and-after study, the impact of road lighting was estimated for two directions of one road section. Capacities of the road section were estimated for various periods of the day. Capacities during the daytime did not differ significantly before and after introduction of lighting. Nevertheless, during nighttime a significant increase in capacity of about 2.5 percent was found.

Resumen
The article proposes a new approach to improving the methodology for calculating the bearing capacity of the eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements for cases of their loading with large eccentricities. The basis of this technique is considered as a modified version of the deformation model for the reinforced concrete resistance force. The main feature of this model is the energy approach to transforming the reference diagrams of compression and concrete tension into the diagrams of non-uniform deformation, corresponding to the stress-strain state of the compressed and stretched zones of concrete in the cross section of the eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete structures. This way there is no falling branch in the concrete diagrams obtained by this method. A calculation diagram of the steel reinforcement deformation with a physical yield point was taken as a partial function, consisting of one linear and two non-linear equations. The proposed method also shows the possibility of taking into account the greatest curvature of an eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete element in the plane of its loading. The article presents all the necessary dependencies allowing the theoretical value of the carrying capacity of an eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete element determination. The results of the numerical studies performed using the design software developed by the authors for the personal computer are given.

Resumen
Chinese high-speed railway is in a boom and making train diagram with high-density trains to relieve capacity intense and improve operational efficiency has become the research focus. Different kinds of station intervals between adjacent trains are the basis for the train diagram. According to the situation in which trains with different speed run on the same line and the proportion of high-speed trains is much larger than that of middle-speed trains, this paper raises principles and methods to determine the minimum departure interval between trains with same speed at the relatively initial station. The minimum departure interval between trains with same speed at the relatively initial station is a necessary and sufficient condition for making train diagram since there is no overtaking between same-speed trains.

Resumen
An analytical method is presented to estimate lateral shear strength (and identify likely mode and location of failure) in reinforced concrete (RC) cantilever columns of rectangular cross-section under combined axial force, shear force and bending moment. Change in shear capacity of concrete with flexural demand at a section is captured explicitly and the shear resistance offered by concrete estimated; this is combined with shear resistance offered by transverse and longitudinal reinforcement bars to estimate the overall shear capacity of RC columns. Shear–moment (V-M) interaction capacity diagram of an RC column, viewed alongside the demand diagram, identifies the lateral shear strength and failure mode. These analytical estimates compare well with test data of 107 RC columns published in literature; the test data corresponds to different axial loads, transverse reinforcement ratios, longitudinal reinforcement ratios, shear span to depth ratios, and loading conditions. Also, the analytical estimates are compared with those obtained using other analytical methods reported in literature; in all cases, the proposed method gives reasonable accuracy when estimating shear capacity of RC columns. In addition, the method provides insights into the shear resistance mechanism in RC columns under the combined action of P-V-M, and it is simple to use.

One of the phenomena of transportation problem currentl.y is the congestion which cxrurs at highwaybottlenecks. Congestion is detennined btJ the low capacity at the bottleneck point compared to theentrance rood segment before the bottleneck. This capacity reduction can be inft~d by the decrease inthe number of traffic lanes, the reduced width of rood shoulders and traffic signs.Location of the study is on a signaHzed intersection (MT Haryano Street) and unsignalized intersection(Cilincing Street). Traffic congestion Analysis is caused bi; the bottleneck based on the principle dinamictraffic with deterministic queuing method (DQA).There are three point of conclusion based on the analysis is determined queuing length, the queuing rate,Physical. diagram discharging. Firstly, queuing length are in the signalized intersection is 5.98 km andunsignalized intersection is 38.01 km. Secandl.y, queuing rate of rehicles produced by the method DQAat signalized intersection of 10,075 pcu smaller than the maximum cumulative volume at the intersection(19,900 pcu). Finally, Pln;siml diagram discharging rate is means when congestion cxrurs untilqueue missing (during t2). The Physical. diagram discharging rate at signalized intersection is 19.01km;hour and unsignalized intersection is only 4.15 km/ hour. From those amclusions show the queueinglength will increase the queuing rate and reduce congestion at the existing speed.
