A unique case of therapeutic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) after cardiac tamponade secondary to postoperative complication resulted in hemodynamic improvement.  Our patient initially had pericardial effusion with concerns for a hematoma secondary to cardiac catheterization with stent placement. Multiple attempts at pericardial drainage were done, however the patient became unstable during the procedure.  CPR was used therapeutically during cardiac arrest to help remove fluid around the heart.  CPR is known to cause cardiac tamponade and also rarely treats cardiac tamponade

Phonocardiogram (PCG) signal is a particular approach to explore cardiac activity, to develop technics that may serve medical staff to diagnose several cardiac diseases. We took advantage of PCG signal that shows heart murmurs on its tracing dissimilar to other cardiac signals, to design an algorithm to study and classify heart murmurs. In this paper, the importance is given to the severity of murmurs to highlight its impact, since depending on its stage the patient could be in life-threatening point; therefore, the purpose of this paper is focused on three essential steps: according to the al

Abstract Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is accompanied by pathologic cardiac remodeling, including cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis. The decline in renal function results in elevations of serum concentrations of phosphate (hyperphosphatemia) and of the bone-derived hormone Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) 23. Clinical studies have shown that hyperphosphatemia and high circulating levels of FGF23 are associated with cardiovascular mortality in CKD. We previously found that FGF23 can directly target cardiac myocytes via FGF Receptor (FGFR) 4 and induce cardiac hypertrophy in rodents. Furthermore, de

Furthermore, the treatment choices are primarily conservative, including angiography and papaverine infused at 30-60 mg/hour through an angiographic catheter.
