Metode analisis yang diterapkan pada rangka alat pengujian pompa adalah analisis manggunakan progaramCatia V5. Program Catia V5dirancangdandibuatuntuk mempermudah pekerjaan-pekerjaan teknik diantaranyakonstruksi, desain, perpipaan, kelistrikan dan lain-lain. Catia memiliki fitur yang cukup lengkap sehingga mampu melakukan CAD (Computer Aided Desain), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture) dan CAE (Computer Aided Engineering). CATIA V5 juga mampu melakukan analisis secara 3D pada perancangan konstruksi rangka peralatan pengujian pompa. Diharapkan dari penelitian terhadap rangka yang digunakan pada alat pengujian pompa ini didapatkan suatu hasil analisis yang memadai, dan dari data-data diperoleh itu pula dapat digunakan sebagai acuan untuk upaya-upaya perbaikan serta menyatakan tingkat kelayakan rangka alat pengujian pompa.Dalam mendesain atau merancang sebuah rangka diperlukan urutan kerjayang sistematis dan terencana guna mendapatkan hasil kerja yang optimal.Dimulai dari identifikasi masalah, perumusan masalah, modeling, pemilihan bahan kemudian diinput pada Catia V5 danselanjutnyadilakukan perhitungan dengan Catai V5, jika rangka memenuhi spesifikasi maka akan dilanjutkan ke analisis serta kesimpulan, jika tidak maka akan kembali lagi ke modeling.Distribusi tegangan dan regangan pada rangka alat pengujian pompa ditunjukan dengan variasi warna pada hasil analisis dengan program Catia V5. Tegangan maksimum yang diterima rangka adalah sebesar 7.63027 x 106 N/m2 terletak pada kaki rangka dibawah piston pump. Spesifikasi rangka alat pengujian pompa adalah baja siku SC 40 dengan panjang 1000 mm, lebar 540 mm dan tinggi 820 mm. Material konstruksi alat pengujian pompa adalah baja SC 40 dengan batas tegangan bahanyang diijinkan yaitu sebesar 2.5 X 108 N/m2. Defleksi maksimum yang terjadi pada rangka alat pengujian pompa sebesar 0.0699382 mm, terletak pada bagian atas rangka yaitu pada dudukan hydromotor.

Inhalt: In der modernen Fahrzeugentwicklung ist die Konzeption der Fahrzeuge von innen nach außen eine häufig formulierte Anforderung. Tatsächlich werden früh im Entstehungsprozess hochkomplexe digitale Ergonomiewerkzeuge eingesetzt, um einen möglichst großen Teil der ergonomischen Auslegung abzusichern und die Anzahl der, monetär und zeitlich aufwendigen, physischen Erprobungen gering zu halten. Durch die immer kürzer werdenden Entwicklungszeiten und die steigende Modellanzahl besteht in der Automobilindustrie darüber hinaus der Bedarf, Prozesse zu standardisieren und zu verschlanken. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll das Konzept eines einfachen und günstigen Ergonomiewerkzeugs vorstellen, das direkt im CAD-System der Anwender arbeitet und somit ein hohes Maß an Interaktivität bietet.

Resumen
A model of side pattern CAD/CAM on mould for auto lamp integrated with CATIA V5 is built. After analyzing the properties of design and the manufacture of side pattern on mould for auto lamp, key technology, such as grouping, sorting, determination of continuity, fairing and fitting of side pattern curves, generating of NC files and G codes, are presented. Using out-process redeveloping tools of CATIA V5, a CATIA V5 integrated side pattern CAD/CAM system for mould of auto lamp is developed. At last, a practical example shows that the technology and the software satisfy the design and manufacture of side pattern on mould for auto lamp. The technology and the software have been used in related enterprise successfully.

The goal of the CAD parametric modeling is to create a 3D representation, flexible and complex enough to encourage the engineer to easily consider a variety of designs with the cost of applying changes as low as possible. Geometric modeling systems provide a virtual environment similar to the real one in which the physical model is constructed/designed and manipulated. Using such a system, the engineer models, adds, deforms and edits parts in the process of detailing a shape. The virtual model may look the same as the real physical model, but it’s intangible. However, the 3D virtual model is accompanied by its mathematical description, parameters, restraints and these eliminates the need of measurements for prototyping or mass production, can be modified at any modeling phase, can be tested in various ways etc., which is a major disadvantage of using a physical part. This paper presents some theoretical aspects regarding the design process of products including surfaces and a few case studies showing the many possibilities in creating complex surfaces using the CATIA v5 software.

Resumen
This paper presents a complex project, implemented in CATIA V5 environment, used for mechanical design and prototype obtaining of the single-cylinder engine block. The main features which are implemented allow reducing the time for design, using the end user design parameters for the prototype manufacturing, reducing the material consumption, optimization of the numerical control technology for milling process. The paper also presents a software system, developed with Visual Basic in CATIA environment, which can be used to automate the process of 3D model generating, creating the data files for rapid prototyping equipments, designing of CNC machining technology, and automatic generating of the numeric control files for the milling process using multi-axes machining centre. The NC files are verified using simulation capabilities of the virtual environment provided by CATIA V5.

A proprioceptive mechanism of vehicle driving simulator is proposed to realize pitch, roll and vibration action of vehicle driving simulator based on application foundation of proprioceptive mechanism. The proposed mechanism has very simple structure and a brief description of this mechanism is given. The proposed proprioceptive mechanism is established based on CATIA V5 platform by using the virtual prototyping technology. The CATIA V5 motion simulation model is used to simulate the proposed proprioceptive mechanism by setting the parameters of source motion input and motion interference and motion characteristic is analyzed to provide design basis. The kinematics simulation results show that the designed proprioceptive mechanism for vehicle driving simulator can realize the design requirements and complete the proprioceptive actions.

The main objective of this paper is to present prototype of wing spar joint using CATIA V5 software to study the behavior of wing spar joint as per actual working condition and to perform structural analysis of the wing spar joint based on condition of cyclic loading (fatigue loading). Determining the loading modes in the spar joint is subjected to static load and fatigue loads which should be taken into account in the evaluation of the strength and fatigue life. Initially, the components were modeled with CATIA V5 and imported to MSC PATRAN; MSC NASTRAN is used as a solver. From the obtained maximum tensile stresses, fatigue analysis was carried out to find fatigue life of the spar joint with different fatigue load spectra.

The paper presents a general description of chains and chain transmissions, their advantages and disadvantages. A triple chain wheel is then projected into the CATIA V5 program. A static analysis of some wheel mounting variants on a camshaft with the Generative Structural Analysis module in the CATIA V5 program is then made. The orientation-fastening variants with a wedge, two feathers or three screws positioned equidistant at 120 degrees on a diameter are analysed. As a result of the finite element analysis, the conclusion is that the three-screw variant is the most appropriate. Material stresses and deformations are smaller, simpler processability, fewer types of components are present overall, maintenance is simpler, and the excentricity of the assembly is lower, with lower vibrations in operation.

The paper presents the entire process of designing and optimizing an injection mold for a polystyrene plastic anchor. The design process begins with a comprehensive market study of the polystyrene plastic anchors available on the Romanian market, and the results of this study are then used for the creation of a new model of anchor. After this first stage of design, the resulted model is optimized in terms of the injection process using the simulation software Autodesk Moldflow Adviser. After establishing the final form of the polystyrene plastic anchor, the mold is designed in Catia V5 using a series of standardized components. Manufacturing set-up is done in Catia V5 and Cimatron. In the end, the validation of the mold is performed using the injection machine Haitian Mars 2-2500.

This paper presents the influence of modeling and simulation techniques for hard milling and forming. The aim of these simulations is the ability to optimize the manufacturing technologies even before the real production of its own tools, because their manufacturing process is very difficult in terms of production time, materials and other costs. The simulated results visualize roughing and finishing process of milling and generate tool-paths in CATIA V5. Simulation results of forming realized in PAM-Stamp 2G using a 3D model of the punch and the blank confirm the suitability of the proposed design of the forming tool. Finally, hard milling and forming simulations in CAE systems CATIA V5 and PAM-Stamp 2G were performed in order to determine and evaluation of suitability of the proposed shapes of the forming tool.

Abstract In mechanical design and manufacture, the minimum size of raw material of each part should be measured before processing. Generally, this size could be equal to the size of minimum bounding box. When the assembled parts of a product reach an enormous quantity, the measurement would be a rough work. This paper introduced an automated solving algorithm for the oriented bounding box based on principal axis of inertia, combined with CATIA structural tree recursive traversal algorithm according to CAA V5 Automation API, to implement an automated solution of the engineering acceptable minimum oriented bounding box of CATIA model.

Abstract: In this project design, fabrication, and analysis of sheet laminated Metal Matrix Composites will be carried out. It will be very useful for Aircraft Nose Cone, drone frames, and other surface materials of aircraft. The model of laminated metal matrix composite is designed using Catia V5 and also material to be applied to the body. Imported Geometry from Catia V5 to ANSYS will be analyzed by applying material properties and loads under different conditions. Based on ANSYS results the laminated metal matrix composite will experiment with. In that I take there are three types of Combinations of Laminated Metal Matrix Composites 1) Top and Bottom Aluminum Plate between Carbon fiber (aluminum top 1mm bottom 1mm +carbon 0.5 mm= 2.5mm thickness), 2) Top, Bottom, and Middle Aluminum in between Carbon fiber (aluminum (1+1+1)3mm + carbon 1mm= 4mm thickness), and 3) Top and Bottom Carbon and Middle Aluminum (Carbon (0.5+0.5) 1mm +aluminum 1mm =2mm thickness) which means 25%, 33%, and 50 % of carbon reinforced into aluminum metal.

In this article, an application in the field of engineering graphics is presented for the design of a geometric calculator generated as a macro in CATIA V5. The code of this macro is written in the CATVBA language and utilizes the CATIA internal editor while taking advantage of the capabilities offered by Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The principal purpose of this application lies in the possibility of creating the three main geometric elements (point, line, and plane) and in solving five types of general geometric problems, and then comparing the results obtained with their equivalent problems from analytical geometry. In particular, within these types of general geometric problems, 34 possible cases are solved: definition of lines (nine cases), definition of planes (12 cases), intersection points (three cases), angles (three cases), and distances (seven cases). These new entities defined with the geometric calculator can serve as support for the generation of new three-dimensional volumes, the creation of auxiliary symmetries, and the dimensioning of various elements. It was verified that the results of the designed macro and the solutions of the analytical equations coincided; therefore, the procedure was validated. Likewise, the module employed herein in the CATIA V5 environment is “Wireframe and Surface Design”, since it enables handling the three basic geometric elements (point, line, and plane), which form the basis of the geometric calculator. Lastly, it is verified how the geometric calculator allows their integration with three-dimensional solids, which represents a notable advance as an aid in its geometric definition.

Abstract: Hydroforming is a relatively new metal forming process that offers many advantages over traditional cold forming processes, including the ability to produce more complex components with fewer operations. For certain geometries, hydroforming technology makes it lighter, stiffer, cheaper to manufacture, and requires less blanks, resulting in less material waste. This paper focuses on the analysis of composite T-joints which are used in automobiles under various loads. It is modelled analysed using CATIA V5 and ANYSYS software’s respectively. There are several studies on design optimization of automotive T-joints. This paper depicts deformation and stress analysis of TJoint, when made using sheet hydroforming. This paper refers to how the cab deflector of trucks can influence the aerodynamic coefficient. The first part of the paper includes some generalities taken from previous studies, regarding the types of solutions to improve aerodynamics for trucks. The second part of the paper is a more practical one and has two main chapters: modeling and simulation of modeled parts. In this sense, a truck and 3 cabin deflectors were schematically modeled in Catia v5. After assembly in the Catia v5 program, the impact of the cabin deflector was analyzed. Thus, a computerized dynamic fluid simulation (CFD) was performed using the specific module in Ansys. The simulation included the CFD analysis of the four possible variants: truck without deflector, truck + deflector 1, truck + deflector 2, truck + deflector 3. All mentioned variants were analyzed at 3 different speeds: 50 km / h, 70 km / h and 90 km /. This analysis revealed information on the efficiency of each deflector, the value of the pressure as well as the most affected areas, the value of the turbulent kinetic energy, the value of the drag force and the aerodynamic coefficient.

This article outlines the various stages of operations involved in pick and place operation by the interfacing of 2 robots. The interfacing involves sending the input signals to the second robot from the first robot to perform the task. What coded by the user set of instructions. While performing any robot operation, a robot may interact with other robot in various 4 degrees ranging in between 2 extremes. Now-a-days, various advanced robots are used in industries, but still controlling is done manually or using processors likewise Arduino, microcontroller. Here the programmable logic and Controller is used for controlling and operating robotic arm. All the various problems of this process have been analyzed properly, and have been taken into consideration while programming and designing the pick and place robotic arm. Kinematics have been defined in DMU module of CATIA and Robot joints are simulated to validate the real time movements of physical robots (Igus Robotic control) of vacuum gripper and magnetic gripper igus robots present in the ARC Lab of Mechanical branch, Aditya Institute of Technology And Management. Initially, the whole layout of the manufacturing automation should be placed at correct coordinates i.e., assigning the robots, material handling and storage retrieval system to their respective coordinates. Designing of two different robots’ parts in CATIA V5 software and assembling the parts to form the vacuum and magnetic robots. The kinematics motions of robots are assigned in CATIA V5 software that gives the revolute motions of each joint and had made the simulations of two robots.

Abstract In this article it is presented a comparative analysis of natural mode frequencies for a non-powered rear axle used to fit mass production vehicle and for a similar rear axle derived from the first one to be used to fit a hybrid powered vehicle. The CAD model of the axle and the computed natural mode frequencies were realised using CATIA V5. For calculation, finit element method was used.

This paper will discuss the unfolding of skin-panel by using the software CATIA. During the process the characteristics of integral skin-panel and the development of its unfolding were presented. Consequently, it could be seen that the structural surface of the external form could be extracted for curved surface. So the unfolding of skin-panel was able to be simplified to the unfolding of the curved surface. Main steps of unfolding the integral skin-panel in CATIA V5 software environment are stated in following parts. The measurement results of the lightening groove located in larger deformation region between surface to be unfolded and unfolded surface are compared in fig 10. And it shows that the method used in this paper meets the demand of precision and is available.

The paper presents a method for verifying the thermal stability of an actuator with axial symmetry as a final stage of its assisted design. Thermal simulation of electromagnetically and cinematically optimized actuator is done by the Finite Element Method in Comsol Multiphysics (Heat Transfer Module). The thermal simulation is based on the geometry drawn in the Catia V5 and the material characteristics. Thermal simulation reduces the time and cost of designing actuators and prototypes.

To solve the NC post processing problems of generated tool path file APT generated by Catia V5 in the application of MIKRON UCP600 Vario five-axis machining center, on the basis of the theoretical analysis of tool path parameter and data calculation, the post processor programmed with VC++ that is accordance with machine tool was used. It verified with Simulation and material test: the NC post possessing program can be directly used in CNC machining without manual modification. Furthermore, there was no mark by tool path and the accuracy of the size meets the requirements.

Abstract. Work facilities are important for a work environment that supports the smooth operation of operators. CV. Nur Rahmat Teknik is a company that produces heating elements. At the cutting work station, the operator's attitude is unnatural, such as squatting, bending the back, bowing the neck which is at risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. The research objective of designing cutting work facilities is to reduce risk. The method used to identify risks is using the Nordic Body Map, risk determination is using the Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment method and designing work facilities using Anthropometry. The identification results of complaints and pain were found in the neck, upper back, lower back, shoulders, buttocks/thighs causing discomfort. The risks experienced by workers are at a medium level, meaning that further identification is needed and changes in work patterns are recommended. The proposed design is in the form of a work table with multifunction, namely a work table that can place all cutting tools, a storage area for scissors, grinders, knife blades. Simulation is carried out by Catia V5 simulation with low risk results, meaning that the work is accepted and can be continued. The results of the work risk analysis on cutting produce a medium risk value. The proposed work facility design is in the form of work tables and pipe storage locations. The proposed table size is 120 cm long, 100 cm wide, 100 cm high. Along with an additional table 80 cm long, 100 cm wide and 100 cm high. Along with additional shelves with a height of 45 cm. The simulation results using CATIA V5 software show that the design of work facilities resulting from a risk assessment results in a low risk, this score indicates that the work is safe and there is no work risk. Abstrak. Fasilitas kerja penting bagi lingkungan kerja yang menunjang kelancaran operator bekerja. CV. Nur Rahmat Teknik merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi heating element. Pada stasiun kerja pemotongan sikap operator tidak alamiah seperti jongkok, punggung membungkuk, leher menunduk yang berisiko terjadinya musculoskeletal disorder. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengurangi risiko. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko menggunakan Nordic Body Map, penentuan risiko dengan metode Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment dan perancangan fasilitas kerja menggunakan Antropometri. Hasil identifikasi keluhan dan rasa sakit didapatkan pada leher, punggung atas, punggung bawah, bahu, bokong/paha sehingga menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan. Risiko yang dialami pekerja pada level medium artinya perlu identifikasi lagi dan disarankan perubahan postur kerja. Rancangan yang diusulkan berupa meja dengan multifungsi yaitu meja kerja yang dapat menempatkan seluruh alat potong, tempat penyimpanan gunting, gerinda, mata pisau. Simulasi rancangan dilakukan dengan simulasi Catia V5 dengan hasil risiko pada level low artinya pekerjaan diterima dan dapat dilanjutkan. Hasil analisis risiko kerja pada pemotongan menghasilkan nilai risiko medium. Usulan perancangan fasilitas kerja berupa meja kerja dan letak penyimpanan pipa. Ukuran usulan meja adalah panjang meja 120 cm, lebar 100 cm, tinggi 100 cm. Beserta meja tambahan panjang 80 cm, lebar 100 cm, dan tinggi 100 cm. Beserta tambahan rak dengan tinggi 45 cm. Hasil simulasi menggunakan software CATIA V5 didapat perancangan fasilitas kerja hasil penilaian risiko menghasilkan risko rendah (low), skor tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pekerjaan aman dan tidak ada risiko kerja yang ditimbulkan.

We used, in this work, a feed forward neural network in order to ranking a workstation. The neural network is simulated with a simple simulator: SSNN. The POWERMILL software is used for NC programing and manufacturing simulation, the MIKRON UCP710 five axis linkage processing center is used for manufacturing. The practical application of this rotor on torque rheometer proves that this rotors structure design is reasonable. The test requirement of torque rheometer is well satisfied. This kind of rotor has a very good promotion value.

In this paper the implementation procedure of Human Head curve reconstitution has been investigated and the curve reconstitution model has been built based on reverse engineering and pre-processing theory of data-points. The data acquisition of head curve was implemented by means of the laser scan system. The data-points were disposed, and the head curve was reconstructed, and the error and smoothness were analyzed by means of high-end CAD / CAE / CAM software CATIA V5. Those laid the foundation for late further research surface reconstruction.
