Resumen
Lyapunov exponent (LE), chaotic range and complexity are the key considerations of a discrete chaotic system. A dynamic chaotic system with larger LE and wider parameter space will result in better statistical performance that can be used to generate pseudo random sequences and applied to encryption fields. At the same time, the combination of simple chaotic maps can generate more excellent chaotic behavior. This paper proposes a newly combined chaotic system called Parallel Chaotic System (PCS). Multiple simple chaotic maps are paralleled to construct the novel system. In this system, LE and chaotic range can be improved as much as possible by setting additional parameters. Compared with the existing models made up of same seed maps, PCS is able to get better chaotic behavior by means of a simple structure at the same time. Performance evaluation emphasizes that the chaotic maps generated by PCS are more unpredictable with better complexity.

Resumen
Based on simplified Lorenz multiwing and Chua multiscroll chaotic systems, a rotation compound chaotic system is presented via transformation. Based on a binary fractal algorithm, a new ternary fractal algorithm is proposed. In the ternary fractal algorithm, the number of input sequences is extended from 2 to 3, which means the chaotic attractor with fractal transformation can be presented in the three-dimensional space. Taking Lorenz system, rotation Lorenz system and compound chaotic system as the seed chaotic systems, the dynamics of the complex chaotic attractors with fractal transformation are analyzed by means of bifurcation diagram, complexity and power spectrum, and the results show that the chaotic sequences with fractal transformation have higher complexity. As the experimental verification, one kind of complex chaotic attractors is implemented by DSP, and the result is consistent with that of the simulation, which verifies the feasibility of digital circuit implement.

Resumen
<p>Cryptographic algorithms have played an important role in information security for protecting privacy. The literature provides evidence that many types of chaotic cryptosystems have been proposed. These chaotic systems encode information to obviate its orbital instability and ergodicity. In this work, a pseudo-random cryptographic generator algorithm with a symmetric key, based on chaotic functions, is proposed. Moreover, the algorithm exploits dynamic simplicity and synchronization to generate encryption sub-keys using unpredictable seeds, extracted from a chaotic zone, in order to increase their level of randomness. Also, it is applied to a simulated electrical energy consumption signal and implemented on a prototype, using low hardware resources, to measure physical variables; hence, the unpredictability degree was statistically analyzed using the resulting cryptogram. It is shown that the pseudo-random sequences produced by the cryptographic key generator have acceptable properties with respect to randomness, which are validated in this paper using National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) statistical tests. To complement the evaluation of the encrypted data, the Lena image is coded and its metrics are compared with those reported in the literature, yielding some useful results.</p>

Resumen
We analyze the relationship between classical chaos and particle creation in Robertson–Walker cosmological models with gravity coupled with a scalar field. Within our class of models chaos and particle production are seen to arise in the same cases. Particle production is viewed as the seed of decoherence, which enables the quantum to classical transition and ensures that the correspondence between the quantum and classically chaotic models will be valid.

Resumen
One of the important application of image encryption is storing confidential and important images on a local device or a database in such a way that only the authorized party can view or perceive it. The current image encryption technique employs the genetic algorithm to increase confusion in the image, but compromises in time and space complexity. The other method employs chaos or pseudo random number generating systems which have fast and highly sensitive keys but fails to make the image sufficiently noisy and is risky due to its deterministic nature. We propose a technique which employs the non-deterministic, optimizing power of genetic algorithm and the space efficiency and key sensitivity of chaotic systems into a unified, efficient algorithm which will retain the merits of both the methods whereas tries to minimize their demerits in a software system. The encryption process proceeds in two steps, generating two keys. First, an encryption sequence is generated using Lorenz Chaotic system of differential equation. The seed values used are the user’s actual key having key sensitivity of 10-14. Second, the encrypted image’s genetic encryption sequence is generated which will result in an encrypted image with entropy value greater than 7.999 thus ensuring the image is very noisy. Proposed technique uses variations of Lorenz system seed sets to generate all random mutations and candidate solutions in Genetic encryption. Since only the seed sets leading to desired solution is stored, space efficiency is higher compared to storing the entire sequences. Using this image encryption technique we will ensure that the images are hidden securely under two layers of security, one chaotic and other non-deterministic.

Resumen
This article presents a configurable, high-throughput pseudo-random number generator template targeting cryptographic applications. The template is parameterized using a chaotic map that generates data, an entropy builder that is used to periodically change the parameters of the map and a parameter change interval, which is the number of iterations after which the entropy builder will change the generator’s parameters. The system is implemented in C++ and evaluated using the TestU01 and NIST RNG statistical tests. The same implementation is used for a stream cipher that can encrypt and decrypt PNG images. A Monte-Carlo analysis of the seed space was performed. Results show that for certain combinations of maps and entropy builders, more than 90% of initial states (seeds) tested pass all statistical randomness tests. Also, the throughput is large enough so that a 8 K color image can be encrypted in 2 s on a modern laptop CPU (exact specifications are given in the paper). The conclusion is that chaotic maps can be successfully used as a building block for cryptographic random number generators.

Resumen
<p>Today, the security of digital images is considered more and more essential and a strong secret key plays a major role in the image encryption. In this paper, a novel method for generating dynamic non-linear secret keys for a symmetric block cipher using XOR-operation is proposed. The dynamic non-linear secret keys generation is based on a combination of logistic and piecewise chaotic map methods with a new automatic creation of initial seed values. The automatic initial seed values creation depends on the development of a novel strategy for seeds creation based on sunflower spiral points. The experimental results indicate that the proposed key generator algorithm has the advantage of large key space with a safety protection of brute force attack. Therefore, the performance analysis of image encryption reveals a correlation coefficient of about (-0.0001) and entropy greater than (7.9978). Furthermore, the results show high security for encryption based on strong dynamic secret key properties.</p>

Resumen
AbstractMotivated by today’s huge volume of data that needs to be handled in secrecy, there is a wish to develop not only fast and light but also reliably secure cryptosystems. Chaos allows for the creation of pseudo-random numbers (PRNs) by low-dimensional transformations that need to be applied only a small number of times. These two properties may translate into a chaos-based cryptosystem that is both fast (short running time) and light (little computational effort). What we propose here is an approach to generate PRNs—and consequently digital secret keys—that can serve as a seed for an enhanced chaos-based cryptosystem. We use low-dimensional chaotic maps to quickly generate PRNs that have little correlation, and then, we quickly (“fast”) enhance secrecy by several orders (“reliability”) with very little computational cost (“light”) by simply looking at the less significant digits of the initial chaotic trajectory. This paper demonstrates this idea with rigor, by showing that a transformation applied a small number of times to chaotic trajectories significantly increases its entropy and Lyapunov exponents, as a consequence of the smoothing out of the probability density towards a uniform distribution.

Resumen
AbstractEulerian and Lagrangian tools are used to detect coherent structures in the velocity and magnetic fields of a mean-field dynamo, produced by direct numerical simulations of the three-dimensional compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with an isotropic helical forcing and moderate Reynolds number. Two distinct stages of the dynamo are studied: the kinematic stage, where a seed magnetic field undergoes exponential growth; and the saturated regime. It is shown that the Lagrangian analysis detects structures with greater detail, in addition to providing information on the chaotic mixing properties of the flow and the magnetic fields. The traditional way of detecting Lagrangian coherent structures using finite-time Lyapunov exponents is compared with a recently developed method called function $M$. The latter is shown to produce clearer pictures which readily permit the identification of hyperbolic regions in the magnetic field, where chaotic transport/dispersion of magnetic field lines is highly enhanced.

Resumen
This document traces the development of a new cryptosystem using two circuits ensured by a deep Vigenere classical technique improvement. This new technique employs several dynamic substitutions matrices attached to chaotic replacement functions; whose construction will be detailed. The first round will start by modifying the seed pixels based on the initial values calculated from the original image, and will be infected through the chaotic map used to overcome the uniform image problem, followed by the injection of Vigenere technology improvements. The output vector will be subdivided into three sized blocks for future application of deeply improved genetic mutations to better adapt to medicine and color image encryption. The second round will increase the complexity of the attack and improve the installed systems. Simulations performed on a large number of images of different sizes and formats ensure that our approach is not exposed to known attacks.

Due to the recurrence of diegetic elements – such as active images, scenes, projections and meetings of characters – in Tale of a Certain Orient, The Brothers and Ashes of the Amazon, our work considers these three novels to what shall be referred here as Milton Hatoum’s first fictional trilogy. Indeed, there are certain micro-knots linked together within a fabric, as in a macro-structure that differs in order to be sustainable, in a process of filling and draining, of rebellion from end to beginning. These diegetic elements are representations of emptiness that recount the remains of a ruined path. Guided by the literary fabric, thus confronting the study researches which consider Hatoum’s fictional work as memorialist – and summon up the willingness to address his shortcomings – our analysis deals with the multiple knots stemming from the economy of memory conditions (shades of unconsciousness), mainly the condition of forgotten memory, the economy of forgetfulness. Our work also focuses on other converging lines in Hatoum’s trilogy plot, namely life and death, presence and absence of the body (the father’s and the son’s), accuracy and requirement as to the process of bereavement and legacy, forgiving the unforgivable (illegitimacy and affiliation), all pointed out in questions regarding territoriality, ethnicity and ethico-political/socio-ecological stances. Emptiness shapes the analysed narratives, standing stretched in the space-time continuum of enunciation and utterance until the breaking up (infinite split of the double – unalike, recurred and different – joining at last the chaotic indifference) of narrative voices (and diegetic elements). The serious, traumatic, forgotten or to be forgotten event creates the discontinuity, the unseen, the need to develop the novel, which remains continuously open and germinal. The structural reduction undertaken here by our analysis travels through the surface and plunges into the essence of Hatoum’s works. This reduction aims to reach their specificity and universality, to avoid the part-whole dichotomy and exoticisation, by engaging to understand their infinite process of filling through empty elements. The unsteadiness of the unknown – of the immemorial in the three novels which makes them a trilogy of forgetfulness – characterises the author’s literary project, identifies its lineage and ancestrality in order to integrate it in a transnational literary landscape

This exciting, challenging book covers a wide range of subject matter, but all linked together through the key ideas of diversity and ‘Relation’. It sees our modern world, shaped by immigration and the aftermath of colonization, as a multiplicity of different communities interacting and evolving together, and argues passionately against all political and philosophical attempts to impose uniformity, universal or absolute values. This is the ‘Whole-World’, which includes not only these objective phenomena but also our consciousness of them. Glissant constantly stresses the unpredictable, ‘chaotic’ nature of the world, which, he claims, we must adapt to and not attempt to limit or control. ‘Creolization’ is not restricted to the Creole societies of the Caribbean but describes all societies in which different cultures with equal status interact to produce new configurations. This perspective produces brilliant new insights into the politicization of culture, but also language, poetry, our relationship to place and to landscapes, globalization, history, and other topics. The book is not written in the style conventionally associated with essays, but is a mixture of argument, proclamation, and poetic evocations of landscapes, lifestyles and people. Its structure is intentionally ‘chaotic’, returning several times to the same themes but seen from a slightly different point of view.

Resumen
Jane Alison’s fascination with Ovid was apparent with the publication of her first book, The Love Artist—a vivid portrayal of Ovid’s exile and the woman who bewitched him. Alison’s lifelong engagement with Ovid has seen a recent translation of selected extracts from the Amores and the Metamorphoses, especially. Like Pollard, Alison employs turns of phrase that bring Ovid directly into the contemporary world and remind us of how powerfully he has spoken of the pleasures, hurts, and anxieties that have been a part of female experience from generation to generation. Furthermore, by looking back from these translations to Alison’s memoir of a troubled childhood, we can see how Ovid helped her to structure her understanding of her chaotic and destabilized background.

Resumen
This book explores what it means to be a gendarme investigating cases, writing reports, and settling disputes in rural Niger. At the same time, the book looks at the larger bureaucracy and the irresolvable tension between bureaucratic structures and procedures and peoples' lives. The world of facts and files exists on one side, and the chaotic and messy human world exists on the other. The book contends that bureaucracy and police work emerge in a sphere of constant and ambivalent connection and separation. The book's frontier in Niger (and beyond) is seen through ideas of space, condition, and project, packed with constraints and possibilities, riddled with ambiguities, and brutally destructive yet profoundly empowering. As the book demonstrates, the tragedy of the frontier becomes as palpable as the true impossibility of police work and bureaucracy.

Resumen
The chaotic lives of women who are drug dependent and their frequent lack of consistent prenatal care put them at risk for many medical problems during pregnancy. Illicit drug use during pregnancy also places women at increased risk for obstetrical complications. The complexity of medical problems in the pregnant drug abuser is complicated by the attendant psychosocial problems and psychiatric comorbidities seen in this population. Psychiatric diagnoses, treatment, and patient compliance are often hindered when the main focus of attention is on drug-related problems. The stigma associated with maternal drug use and difficult life circumstances are additional burdens to successful treatment entry and adherence for women. The basis for stabilizing most opioid-dependent pregnant women is agonist maintenance therapy in the context of comprehensive services, and the treatment of psychiatric comorbidities is a key component in optimizing pregnancy and child outcomes.

Resumen
What dark history is this?’ This is the question that hangs over Dickens’s brooding novel of mayhem and murder in the eighteenth century. Set in London at the time of the anti-Catholic Gordon Riots, Barnaby Rudge tells a story of individuals caught up in the mindless violence of the mob. Lord George Gordon’s dangerous appeal to old religious prejudices is interwoven with the murder mystery surrounding the father of the simple-minded Barnaby. The discovery of the murderer and his involvement in the riots put Barnaby’s life in jeopardy. Culminating in the terrifying destruction of Newgate prison by the rampaging hordes, the descriptions of the riots are among Dickens’s most powerful. Written at a time of social unrest in Victorian Britain, Barnaby Rudge explores the relationship between repression and liberation in private and public life. It looks forward to the dark complexities of Dickens’s later novels, whose characters also seek refuge from a chaotic and unstable world.

Resumen
Chapter 3 analyses electoral assemblies with a focus on voting principles and procedures. It argues that the two countries’ voting practices, while seemingly chaotic, reflected the values, priorities, and immediate circumstances of each electorate. In Poland-Lithuania, politics was seen as a communal, public, and hands-on affair, where debate, negotiation, and persuasion trumped efficiency and speed. Those principles were reflected in the preference for voting in person rather than by electors, and what would later be known as the unanimity rule. In Transylvania, where the majority rule was used and voting was done by delegates, speed and efficiency prevailed mainly due to a constant sense of being under threat. The chapter analyses the theory and practice of consensus and gives an overview of voting methods in the two countries against a broader European background. To illustrate these points, the elections of 1571 (Transylvania) and 1575 (Poland-Lithuania) are analysed in detail.

Resumen
Inner speech lies at the chaotic intersection of numerous difficult questions in contemporary philosophy and psychology. On the one hand, inner speech utterances are private mental events of a kind. On the other, they resemble speech acts of the sort used in interpersonal communication. Thought and its linguistic expression appear to overlap. Further, inner speech is at once imagistic in nature, having a characteristic auditory-verbal phenomenology; yet it also appears suitable to carrying complex linguistic contents. In another apparent clash, inner speech episodes seem to constitute or express sophisticated trains of conceptual thought; yet, at the same time, they are deeply motoric in nature, drawing on mechanisms for speech production and perception more generally. Also, in using inner speech, we seem able both to regulate our bodily actions and, arguably, to gain a unique kind of access to our own beliefs and desires. Finally, disorders as “thought insertion” and auditory verbal hallucinations are plausibly explicable in terms of the malfunctioning of mechanisms governing speech production and perception. But there is still little on what those mechanisms are, nor in how they might be involved. This interdisciplinary volume—comprising twelve chapters by philosophers, psychologists, and neuroscientists—capitalizes on growing interest in the many questions surrounding inner speech and presents a range of new theories concerning both its nature and location within these important debates.

Resumen
The end of the Cold War announced a new world order. Liberal democracy prevailed, ideological conflict abated, and world politics set off for the promised land of a secular, cosmopolitan, market-friendly end of history. Or so it seemed. Thirty years later, this unipolar worldview— premised on shared values, open markets, open borders and abstract social justice—lies in tatters. What happened? David Martin Jones examines the progressive ideas behind liberal Western practice since the end of the twentieth century, at home and abroad. This mentality, he argues, took an excessively long view of the future and a short view of the past, abandoning politics in favour of ideas, and failing to address or understand rejection of liberal norms by non-Western ‘others’. He explores the inevitable consequences of this liberal hubris: political and economic confusion, with the chaotic results we have seen. Finally, he advocates a return to more sceptical political thinking— with prudent statecraft abroad, and defence of political order at home—in order to rescue the West from its widely advertised demise.

Resumen
In today's chaotic world, global society is faced with the the ever present threat of terrorism. To a large extent, terrorist attacks succeed in reaching most States, provoking fear and inciting terror through violence and threats. As a result, States seek efficient means of protecting and combating terrorism, using individual and collective strategies. In this sense, despite the fact that Brazil does not usually suffer terrorist attacks, the country has foreseen in the Constitution of the Republic the total repudiation of terrorism and assumes practical positions that demonstrate this positioning, having created an antiterrorism law and ratified international conventions regarding its confrontation. At the international level, in the area of extraterritoriality and transnational crimes, international judicial cooperation stands out as an essential mechanism capable of responding to the obstacles offered by terrorism, offering an alternative for States to respond collectively. In the realm of international law, this study defends the position that terrorism should be addressed with more flexibility than the guidelines the international judicial cooperation has agreed upon in other areas.

Resumen
AbstractA solution to cope with chaotic urban settlements and frenetic everyday life is refuging in nature as a way to reduce stress. In general—in recent years—it has been scientifically demonstrated how natural areas are an important environment for psycho-physiological health. As a consequence, it is important to plan dedicated spaces for stress recovery in order to increase the well-being of people. With respect to forests, there is a growing interest in understanding the marketing and tourist potential of forest-therapy activities and policies. This paper develops a decision support system (DSS) for decision makers, based on geographic information system to define the suitability of forest areas to improve psychological and physiological human well-being. Innovative technologies such as electroencephalography (EEG) and virtual reality (VR) are applied to test human status. The DSS combines four sets of indicators in a multi-attribute decision analysis and identifies the areas with the largest stress-recovery potential. Two multi-attribute model—one in summer and one in winter—are elaborated to obtain a dynamic evaluation of suitability. Results show significant differences among forest type, forest management, altitude range, and season in terms of stand suitability. EEG and VR seem to be promising technologies in this research area. Strengths and weaknesses of the approach, as well as potential future improvement and implications for territorial marketing, are suggested.

Resumen
AbstractThe Czech Republic has become the target of immigration over only the last three decades; currently, migrants compose 4.5% of the population. Governments in the previous decade have supported the vision of short-term labour migration, and foreigners face many administrative obstacles given the difficult legislation. We employ the concept of regulatory ritualism to grasp the distinctive features of the Czech system. Following Power (The audit society. Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1997) and Braithwaite (Regulatory capitalism: how it works, ideas for making it work better. Edward Elgar, Cheltenham/Northampton, 2008), we see regulation as a ritualised practice that comforts the public and cements the dominant normative order of migration policy. In this chapter, we introduce the historical and political context of migration policy, its institutional design, the Act on Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, the position of foreigners in Czech labour law, Czech integration policy and the consequences of recent institutional design for migrants. The main barriers of integration are difficult administration, poor knowledge of the language and precarious working conditions. Regulatory ritualism, a result of chaotic and unsystematic legislative work, is characterized by losing focus on achieving the goals or outcomes themselves, it establishes a climate of mutual distrust among those actors involved and places obstacles to collaboration between public authorities and migrants themselves.

Resumen
This chapter proposes a robust control approach for the class of chaotic systems subject to magnitude and rate actuator constraints. The approach consists of decomposing the chaotic system into a linear part plus a nonlinear part to form an augmented system comprising the system itself and the integral of the output error. The resulting system is posteriorly seen as a linear system plus a bounded disturbance, and two robust controllers are applied: first, a controller based on a generalization of the Lyapunov function, then a Linear-Quadratic Regulator (LQR) with a prescribed degree of stability. Numerical simulations are performed to validate the approach applying it to the Lorenz chaotic system and to a chaotic aeroelastic system, and parameter uncertainties are also considered to prove its robustness. The results confirm the effectiveness of the approach, and the constraints are guaranteed as opposed to other control techniques which do not consider any kind of constraints.

Resumen
In the chaotic reality of the human civilizations, organizations were always seen as bastions of order. Even in the extreme cases of organizations that sought to bring chaos and confusion, their purpose was generally to clear the present situation and bring a new order. Except the cases of some extreme sects and marginal crime organizations, almost all organizations strive to bring their own existential definitions of order. In this process, management has been the tool of bringing order to organization. Even though modern management is a relatively new concept, all through the history the elements of management such as superior-subordinate relation, persuasion, direction, and administration were seen (Starbuck, 2003; Wren, 2004). But underneath the idealistic goal of bringing order, all organizations are suffering from the chaotic essence that is in their midst. In the organizational theory literature, this chaotic essence is either ignored or it is treated as a problem of good implementation of managerial control. And this problem has been treated in a surprisingly linear way whereas non-linearity of the organizational reality is not considered.

Resumen
In business management literature, chaos and complexity approaches came into sight in 1990's. Fundamental changes have been made by chaos and complexity approaches in understanding of scientific methodology. In social sciences, especially in management and organization fields these notions should be seen as supplementary to the general systems theory. Chaotic management approach also revealed dramatic changes in management understanding chaotic management perspective has brought up the consideration of human both in organisational and humane perspective, which has only been considered within organisational perspective. In other words, placing human in the centre as the essential element of living humanely again has been provided. In this study effects of chaotic theory starting from basic mathematical and scientific findings, were investigated on production, economy, service and social sciences. Also we worked on influence of the theory on management and organization area.

Resumen
Chapter 4 describes the challenges and opportunities of life for women in the nation’s capital during the 1860s. During the Civil War, Washington, D.C., was on the front lines of the conflict. After the war, annual reports of the Board of Metropolitan Police to Congress make clear that Washingtonians continued to endure overcrowding, housing shortages, crime, and disease. Women not only survived in this chaotic context; many—including Patent Office clerk Julia Wilbur, whose diary offers an intriguing window into the everyday life of a female federal employee—thrived in this tough city, enjoying independence, filling their leisure time, and changing the demographics of Washington. For those who chose to do so, female federal employees’ salaries, newly acquired political knowledge, and personal associations provided them with the financial and practical wherewithal to participate in philanthropy and political movements, including the suffrage movement. Female federal employees were visible all over the city, helping to normalize the presence of middle-class women in the streets of Washington. In forming this new, conspicuous community of independent women in full view of the nation’s politicians, female federal employees became a part of the struggle for women’s rights, whether they intended to or not.

Resumen
The ‘return to zero’ in Godard and Gorin’s Dziga Vertov Group films is used as a means of clearing both the linguistic and semiotic ground in order to enable a radical reconstruction of both film and political language on progressive, non-Eurocentric lines. Heavily influenced by the events of May ’68, we see all the philosophical and ideological facets (especially Maoist) come together in the four films discussed here: Le Gai Savoir (1967-8); Un film comme les autres (1968); British Sounds, 1970; and Ici et Ailleurs (1975). All use silence to break through the received wisdom of dominant bourgeois culture by using the film screen as a form of blackboard, deconstructing language and ideology as a means of discovering alternative semantic and didactic methods. While Le Gai Savoir and Un film comme les autres focus specifically on the need to build a political coalition between workers and students, British Sounds explores sound and silence to explore the problems of Taylorist working conditions while Ici et Ailleurs splits the Palestinians’ struggle into a dialectic between time past (the ‘there’ of Syria and Lebanon) and time present (the ‘here’ of a Parisian family watching the same events on TV).

Resumen
This chapter describes some of the attempts to trace the links between theory and observation, showing how the character of the matter distribution we observe developed out of reasonable conditions in the early universe. Opinions on what the universe might have been like at high redshift span the range from primeval chaos to a distribution well ordered in the large but more or less chaotic or turbulent on small scales, to a universe quite precisely homogeneous and isotropic. It is not surprising that the arguments that have been advanced in favor of each scenario all make good points that to some seem compelling. The principle that has been adopted in this book and that argues against all variants of the primeval chaos scenario is that gravity tries to enhance density irregularities, not disperse them: as long as gravity is the dominant force it is hard to see how the universe could do other than grow more irregular. The chapter then considers the nature of protogalaxies and protoclusters.

Resumen
In this chapter the authors talk about importance of chaos synchronization on technology and science. This chapter is developed in three sections. In the former the authors tackle the subject related with the so-called the synchronized state in the sense of identical synchronization. It is done via robust nonlinear observer design, considering corrupted measurements and model uncertainties, coupling uncertainty estimators with nonlinear state observers. The second part treats the subject related to the applications to chaos communications, that is to say, an application of chaos theory which is aimed to provide security in the transmission of information performed through telecommunications technologies, speaking roughly at the transmitter, a message is added on to a chaotic signal and then, the message is masked in the chaotic signal. As it carries the information, the chaotic signal is also called chaotic carrier. This is done via control theory and is a particular case of chaos synchronization. Finally, in the latter section the authors talk about application to synchronization of biological systems that is to say, the intercellular Ca²+ waves have been seen like a mechanism by means of which a group of cells can communicate with one another and coordinate a multicellular response to a local event. Recently, it has been observed in a variety of systems that calcium signals can also propagate from one cell to another and thereby serve as a means of intercellular communication. The desire to understand the biophysical mechanisms of cellular dynamics has lead to introduce feedback control laws in some biological systems. Departing from the above ideas, this section explores links between feedback control schemes, with an external input, and intracellular calcium functions for coordination and control.

Resumen
In this paper, intermittent chaotic analysis of high speed rail axle supported by roller bearings has been analyzed. In the analytical formulation, the contacts between rolling elements and races are considered as nonlinear springs, whose stiffness values are obtained by using Hertzian elastic contact deformation theory. The results show the appearance of instability and chaos in the dynamic response as the speed of the axle-bearing system is changed. Period doubling and mechanism of intermittency have been observed which lead to chaos. The appearance of regions of periodic, sub-harmonic and chaotic behavior is seen to be strongly dependent on the radial clearance. Poincare´ maps, time response and frequency spectra are used to elucidate and to illustrate the diversity of the system behavior.

Resumen
Abstract It is known that some fluid particles may be transported chaotically in Lagrangian description although the velocity field seems to be stable in Eulerian description. A typical example can be found in the system of two-dimensional Rayleigh-Benard convection with perturbed velocity fields, which has been investigated as a low dimensional mechanical model of fluid phenomena associated with natural convection in order to clarify the mechanism of fluid transport (see, for instance, [2]). In this study, we make an experimental study on the global structures of chaotic mixing appeared in the two-dimensional perturbed Rayleigh-Benard convection by analyzing Lagrangian coherent structures (LCSs), which correspond to the invariant manifolds of time-dependent mechanical systems. We develop an apparatus to measure the velocity field by Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and then show the LCSs which can be numerically detected from the experimental data by computing Finite-time Lyapunov exponent (FTLE) fields. Finally, we show the global structures of chaotic mixing appeared in the perturbed Rayleigh-Benard convection as well as the steady convection by experiments. In particular, we clarify how the LCSs are entangled with each other around the cell boundaries to carry out chaotic Lagrangian transports.

Resumen
Abstract The general mechanical model of C pair with clearances is set up and used to derive the differential equation of motion of a RSCR mechanism with clearance at C pair in this paper. The numerical results are analysed and compared with the dynamic responses of the nominal RSCR mechanism. Chaotic phenomena can be seen in the numerical results, which indicate that the steady state responses may not be achievable for spatial mechanisms with clearance connections.

Resumen
The COVID 19 pandemic followed by the invasion of Ukraine is a two-punch economic strike never seen in recent history. The pandemic not only disrupted many aspects of a tightly knit integrated world but also exposed its fragility. The devastation of Ukraine and the vast program of sanctions quickly imposed by most major developed countries have accelerated the retreat of globalization. For many decades, Central Bankers and economists considered stable prices as an almost permanent feature. Today, the consumer price index in the US hit a 40-year high at more than 8 per cent and experts were unable to predict such course of inflation. In this paper, we offer a unique perspective on these events. First, we identify a few major influential factors that have altered significantly and reliably inflation since World War II. We then turn to looking at recent events in the light of these factors to try and extrapolate a likely trend for inflation in the coming years. Despite the dire economic challenges of World War II, the economy recovered quickly, the financial imbalances rectified in only a few years and inflation was tamed. Can the same thing be achieved after the pandemic? Our analysis suggests that this is highly improbable. Deep-rooted inflationary forces are at work because of the distortions that the economic order of the last 40 years has created. These distortions, exacerbated by the dual crisis, will take long to repair. We are then looking at an unsettled economic and inflationary future. The wise course of action to avoid a chaotic future requires that the US authorities withdraw from hands-on policies and instead, pave the way for the agile private sector to take the lead and adapt the economy to the changing conditions.
