Currently, the high levels of stress pose a challenge to the contemporaneity. Teaching is one of the key professions of our society and which presents one of the highest levels of stress. In this work, it was observed that 65,3% of teachers from two schools of São Paulo suffer from stress. The purpose of this research was to assess the effects of Tai Chi Chuan on the level of stress of teachers. The instruments used were Lipp´s Stress Symptoms Inventory for Adults (ISSL) to measure the stress levels and, to the individuals that practiced Tai Chi Chuan, a questionnaire to evaluate the impressions of such individuals on practicing Tai Chi Chuan was also used. The proceeding for the selection of participants was, initially, to apply the ISSL on the 49 participating teachers. Out of such individuals, 32 presented stress and were divided, equally (based on their level of stress, age and time they have been teaching), into 16 on the control group and 16 on the experimental group. The 16 participants of the experimental group were ministered classes of Tai Chi Chuan (including Chi Kung and meditation); during the period of 2 months, they attended 8 classes of 1 hour each, once a week. At the end of the 2-month period, the 32 participants of the 2 groups were retested with ISSL and the questionnaire to evaluate the impressions of practicing Tai Chi Chuan was applied solely to the experimental group. As a result, we observed that the experimental group presented a decrease in the stress levels in order of 77,16%, while the control group did not present any relevant change. Tai Chi Chuan was proven to be an efficient technique for stress management, being a low cost activity, easily executed within the premises of the schools themselves and that does not require any equipment to be practiced; it presented a good acceptance, probably due to the swiftly achieved positive effects. Therefore, Tai Chi Chuan was effective in the decrease of the stress levels of the participating teachers

Purpose: Working from lifespan development theory and the theory of Selective Optimization with Compensation (SOC), I provide theoretical analyses to inform and direct research on Taijiquan where research questions involve issues of adaptive development (optimization of gains, maintenance of function, and prevention of lost resources). I also used these frameworks to construct a biopsychosocial mind-body practices model that seeks to explain and predict the role of key aspects (curriculum, practice, context) in Taiji-related development. The above frameworks are further substantiated through a comparative analysis of health status between Taijiquan practitioners (N =120; age range = 24-83, M = 54.77) and a nationally representative sample (N = 414,629; age range = 18-99, M = 54.86) collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The modelâ s predictive potential is explored through an analysis of health status within a subset of experienced Taiji practitioners (N = 94; age range = 24-83, M = 55.82). Design: Theoretical and cross-sectional; between- and within-group comparisons. Methods: Responses from a convenience sample of Taiji practitioners were collected using an online survey. The instrument was designed to collect data on health-related quality of life (HRQoL), lifestyle variables, and Taiji practice regimens. Data from Taiji practitioners were merged with the CDCâ s 2008 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) dataset, forming three groups: no exercise, some exercise, and Taiji exercise. Health status was regressed on exercise group while controlling for age, income, and education, as well as the interaction between age and exercise group. Further analyses were also conducted on a subset of the Taiji data (N=94). These analyses examined the relationships among self-reported health, practice regimens, and diet while controlling for age and experience. Results: In the first set of analyses (see paper one), I controlled for the effects of age, income, education, and the differential effects of age on exercise group, while determining associations between health and group membership. A significant interaction effect (p < 0.001) occurred between age and exercise group membership. This interaction showed little difference between exercise groups in the young adult age range, but among older adults, Taijiquan practitioners displayed the best HRQoL. In the second set of analyses (see paper 2), I found significant interaction effects between (a) curricular complexity and out-of-class practice (p < 0.05) and (b) curricular complexity and diet (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The extraordinary health status trajectory among Taiji practitioners may be attributable to several conditions including: (a) the implied presence of SOC-related strategies, (b) the general benefits of psychophysical expertise, and (c) concomitant structure between Taiji-related goals and health behaviors that contributes to optimal aging. Specifically, intervention designers, Taiji teachers, and practitioners should consider the potential benefits of well rounded Taiji curricula, regular out-of-class practice, and healthy diet for optimizing health-related gains and minimizing losses typically associated with aging.

Resumen
The present doctoral dissertation was dedicated to select and develop an integrated photocatalytic system, which can be applied in organic reactions performed at liquid-liquid (homogenous reaction system) or liquid-solid (heterogenous reaction system) interface inside the microfluidic channels. The scientific strategy included (i) examination of potential photocatalysts upon various reaction conditions, (ii) selection of stable photocatalytic system and (iii) its implementation towards flow photochemistry by design an exemplar prototype of microfluidic devices for chemical transformations. Demonstrated strategy consist of consecutive protocols precisely described in subsequent chapters of this thesis. First part of the discussion is concentrated on the selection of photoactive organic molecule, which can act as photocatalyst for further organic transformation. The significant efforts have been made to understand all the factors which affect the formation of stable and efficient photocatalytic system. On that basis, benzothiadiazole derivative compound is proposed as an environmentally friendly photocatalyst applicable in a simple dehalogenation and C-C bond formation reactions of thiophene compounds, as well as in photo-controlled polymerization reaction of methacrylate monomers. Subsequently, to expand the scope of the photoredox catalysis towards flow technologies, the extensive spectroscopic studies on selected photocatalytic system, forming at the liquid-liquid and the solid-liquid interfaces inside the microchannel, were performed. This study allowed to design an exemplar prototype of microfluidic device, which can work upon homogenous and heterogeneous reaction conditions. At the end, the potential application of inorganic photocatalyst towards flow photochemistry is briefly discussed. The ruthenium (Ru(bpy)2CN2) complex with cyanide ligands (CN-) is consider as a potential molecular module that may provide desire architecture of photocatalytic systems, especially under microfluidic conditions due to its self-assembling properties.

Aging and many diseased states have been shown by heart rate variability (HRV) analysis to be associated with depressed vagal activity. The extent of vagal depression correlated with the severity or poor prognosis of the disease. Methods that can increase the vagal modulation of the subjects have been a goal of clinician. Health promotion and disease prevention have become increasingly important to the public and health professionals since 1990s. Good nutrition and regular exercise can reduce the risk of various kinds of diseases, and may extend the duration of life for many people, thereby serving as the best current prescription for a long and healthy life. Tai Chi Chuan (TCC) and Wai Tan Kung (WTK) are two very popular and distinct conditioning calisthenics in Oriental countries. Both TCC and WTK are claimed to be suitable for older people and patients with chronic diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of TCC and WTK on the autonomic nervous modulation in the aged subjects, and to compare the physiological effects of TCC and WTK. The heart rate is modulated by the sinus node in the heart, and the autonomic nervous system in the body. The electrical rhythm of the sinus node within the heart is relatively fixed, but the autonomic nervous activity is changed from time to time to maintain the physiological function of the body. The heart rate variability is the variability in the firing of the sinus node that is modulated by the autonomic nervous system. The heart rate variability as studied by power spectral analysis can then be used as a tool to evaluate the activity of the autonomic nervous system. The power spectrum of the heart period obtained by means of fast Fourier transformation usually demonstrates two significant groups of peaks. The vagally mediated high frequency groups of peaks are located within 0.15-0.40 Hz. The noemalized high-frequency power (high-frequency power/total power) is usually used as the index of vagal modulation, the noemalized low-frequency power (low-frequency power/total power) as the index of sympathetic and vagal modulation, and the low-/high-frequency power ratio (low-frequency power/high-frequency power) as the index of sympathovagal balance. Twenty TCC practitioners and twenty normal controls were included in the first study. The stationary state spectral heart rate variability (HRV) measures, hemodynamics and spirometry between TCC practitioners and normal controls, and the sequential changes in HRV measures after classical Yang''s TCC were compared. The total power (TP), very low frequency power (VLFP), low frequency power (LFP), normalized low-frequency power (nLFP) and low-/high-frequency power ratios (LFP/HFP) in TCC practitioners were all significantly higher than those of normal controls, whereas the heart rate (HR) and systolic (SBP) and diastolic blood pressures (DBP) were not different between these two groups of subjects. After TCC, the nHFP increased significantly from 22.8 ± 14.6 normalized units (nu) before TCC to 28.2 ± 16.1 nu 30 min after TCC and to 30.6 ± 18.4 nu 60 min after TCC. In contrast, the LFP/HFP decreased significantly from 2.5 ± 2.4 before TCC to 1.8 ± 1.4 30 min after TCC and to 2.2 ± 2.9 60 min after TCC. The HR, SBP, DBP, mean arterial blood pressure (MABP), and pulse pressure (PP) also decreased sequentially after TCC. It is evident that the short-term effect of TCC was to enhance the vagal modulation and tilt the sympatho-vagal balance toward deceased sympathetic modulation in older persons. TCC might be good health-promoting calisthenics for older persons. In the second study, twenty WTK practitioners and twenty normal controls were recruited in this study. The stationary state spectral HRV measures, hemodynamics and spirometry between WTK group and normal controls, and the sequential changes in HRV measures and hemodynamics after WTK, were compared. We found that the standard deviation and coefficient of variation of RR intervals, TP, LFP, and nLFP in WTK practitioners before WTK were all significantly higher than those of normal controls. After WTK, the nHFP increased significantly from 27.7 ± 13.2 normalized unit (nu) before WTK to 37.6 ± 16.0 nu 30 minutes after WTK, and to 39.8 ± 20.1 nu 60 minutes after WTK. In contrast, the LFP/HFP decreased significantly from 1.3 ± 1.0 before WTK to 1.0 ± 0.9 30 minutes after WTK, and to 0.8 ± 0.6 60 minutes after WTK. We concluded that the short-term effect of WTK was to enhance the vagal modulation and to suppress the sympathetic modulation, whereas the long-term effect of WTK was to enhance the sympathetic modulation without compromising the vagal modulation of the elder adults. The WTK is a good health promotion calisthenics that can be recommended to the elder adults. In the third study, thirty WTK practitioners, thirty TCC practitioners and thirty normal controls were included in this study. The hemodynamics, spirometry, and stationary state HRV measures among normal controls, WTK and TCC practitioners were compared. Before exercise, the percentage forced vital capacity (%FVC) of the TCC practitioners was significantly higher than that of WTK practitioners, and both nLFP and LFP/HFP of the TCC and WTK practitioners were significantly higher than those of normal controls. After WTK or TCC, while both nVLFP and LFP/HFP decreased significantly, the nHFP increased significantly. In addition, the SBP, DBP, MABP, PP and HR all decreased significantly after WTK or TCC. The SBP and MABP in the TCC practitioners 30 or 60 min after TCC were significantly lower than those of the WTK practitioners 30 or 60 min after WTK. It is evident that while the effect of TCC and WTK on the autonomic nervous modulation is comparable to each other, the TCC is superior to WTK in lowering the arterial blood pressure and improving the vital capacity in the elderly. In conclusion, while the short-term effect of WTK on the autonomic nervous modulation is comparable to TCC, the short-term effect of TCC on lowering the blood pressure seems to be better than WTK, and the long-term effect of TCC on increasing the vital capacity seems to be better than WTK in the elderly. WTK and TCC are two good health promotion calisthenics that are worthy of recommending to the elderly in terms of their effects on the autonomic nervous modulation and cardiopulmonary functions.

This study examined the social and cultural symbolisms and cultural history as well as the significance of tribial musical instruments. Based on the eleven instruments shown in the Portraits of Periodical Offering, Chih-kung tu, this study discussed the representative symbolisms of each of the types of instruments in culture. This study first discussed the ancient names and localities and ancient races by ascertaining their present names and locations. Doing so would tremendously help to understand their current locations and the relationships with the current ethnic minority races. One of the major problems with the Portraits is of the actual existence of the described instruments. To remedy this issue, we carefully researched the instruments depicted in the Portraits, including the currently name, shape and form of performance of the instruments of interest. In the cases that the ancient instruments were only verbally described, the form and the permance stance of these instruments were discussed using the similarly available current instrument. Finally, the cultural symbolisms of the instruments were analyzed using important elements of Chinese culture, including nature, totem worship, natural phenomenon’s, religion, cultural practices, cultural art, legends and legendary characters as starting poitnts. By using these resources, we discusse the many facets of the hidden symbolisms and meanings of the instruments described in the 11 Portraits and their roles in the Chinese minority ethnic groups.

Among the color paintings on traditional wooden architectures in Taiwan, the paintings of Door Gods on the wooden panel door is believed to be able to award off evil spirits and ensure household safety. However, the Door God color paintings are often exposed to high temperature, high humidity and air pollution for a long period of time. Those paintings on the doors of temples even have to endure smoke from the incense burning by worshipers. When left unattended without careful maintenance, these paintings are prone to problems of disrepair. This study is a scientifically-based discussion about the repair work of a color painting of Cin Shu-bao and Yu-Chih Kong, two generals in the Tang Dynasty who became Door Gods in folklore. Starting from the historical development of Door Gods in folklore, this study first discusses about the protective functions of Door God paintings in traditional Chinese culture and different types of auspicious color paintings on the door nowadays, and then provides a compilation and categorization. In the repair work, this study adopts visual observation and scientific equipment in analyzing how this Door God color painting was originally produced. This study also analyzes samples of the painting layer to find out the layer structure and then records the impairment as well as the repair process. After the test of cleaning solvents in this study, the olive-oil soap is chosen as the major solvent due to concerns of human health and aesthetic perceptions. The delicate ink lines on the color painting are further treated with acetone. Plextol® D498 is used to repair the flaking and cracking of the painting layer. The impairment of the support layer is filled with Plextol® D498 mixed with GB03 Micro balloon. In the retouching, acrylic and water color(Winsor & Newton)are used to complete the final step of the repair work.

Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art that has real-world applications not limited to novels and apocryphal stories; its use in sparring has been clearly documented. This study is an attempt to further document its use by successful practitioners of martial arts, with the goals of recording the history of Kun-Long Chen’s experience with Tai Chi, analyzing his Tai Chi exercises, and establishing a theory of Tai Chi based on the above. The data in this study is based on field interviews and video recordings, supplemented by collecting, recording, and analyzing relevant Tai Chi literature. This data was used to develop an overall understanding of Mr. Chen’s Tai Chi techniques. Finally, the formation of Mr. Chen’s Tai Chi techniques was investigated in terms of personal characteristics, environment, and the nature of the techniques themselves. The following conclusions were drawn: 1. From the context and formation of Kun-Long Chen’s Tai Chi method, it is apparent that it has been developed based on his own special techniques. 2. Mr. Chen used a particular method of tuishou (“pushing hands”) employing the fundamental Taoist principles of gentleness and passive inaction, allowing him to discover a new method and providing insight into the use of “Chi” and “inner strength.” 3. Research data revealed that Mr. Chen attained practical experience using his Tai Chi methods by sparring with other martial arts enthusiasts. 4. The unique characteristics of Kun-Long Chen’s Tai Chi techniques come from the three historical and cultural aspects of Taoism – internal concepts of pure thought, passive inaction, and modesty; the philosophy of the Doctrine of the Mean; and external physical actions of practicing martial arts and maintaining health and strength. These three aspects are embodied in his method’s internal concept of “meaning and function” and external actions of zhuanggong (“static stance”), quanjia (“fist fighting”) and tuishou. Although the Tai Chi practiced in Taiwan is mostly the same across the country, personal and organizational differences have led to the development of various styles. Tai Chi’s legacy has both a historical heritage as a martial art and a current reputation as a form of healthy exercise. No matter how it has evolved, Tai Chi is a sublimation of martial arts in traditional culture, and that is why it has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries.

Abstract Since the beginning of war history, the RWA(Revolution in Weapon Affairs,RWA)has developed along with science progress. With the RWA, new tactics were also invented. But, basic principles that lead to successful military actions remain unchanged. Many military experts summarized these principles into military science ideas. Formation of the military thought is based on the nation’s traditional founding spirit as well as the needs of the nation’s development and survival. With the consideration of its national environment and the national strength, military thought will turn into principles that would guide all military activities of that nation. Chi Ji-kuang is one of Ming Dynasty renowned national heroes; he made outstanding contribution in the military theory and the military practice. He wrote well-known military works such as “Ji Xiao Xin Shu” , “Record of Military Training”. The military books written by Chi Ji-kuang, we can see Chi’s ideas as to how to train troops and how to fight outside Great Wall. Show how Qi Jiguang turned his army into invincible by keeping this “must-win” iron will throughout battling in order to win. These two books are record in details his thought in military science. This research aims to examine “Ji Xiao Xin Shu”, “ Record of Military Training” and other now-existing files and historic writings left from the Ming Dynasty and Ching Dynasty for inspect in Chi Ji-kuang's military thought comprehensively through studying his strategic concept, tactical thought and troops training ideology. To summarize Chi Ji-kuang’s military thought system and discuss Chi Ji-kuang’s battle winning factores Keyword:Chi Ji-kuang, military thought, Ji Xiao Xin Shu, Record of Military Training

Keywords: independent music, album cover design, illustration art, Kun-Chi Tsai Along with the time goes, the music market in Taiwan has gradually changed everywhere. Music promotion used to be found in TV or radio ad, but now is changing to the Internet platform. Audiences used to be a pop trend, but now are turning to niche taste. Although the music market environment change crash the mainstream music, independent music also has a chance to listen. Independent music is a new style of music which is known for unique viewpoints for explaining society and people’s daily life and experimental songs creating the different style compared with mainstream songs. Recently, independent music has a great proposition in the Chinese music market year by year because of these advantages including inexpensive cost, simple music structure and focusing on music creation. Independent music has a tremendous impact not only gives abundant style in the music market but also stimulates new commercial opportunities in different music festivals and themes in recent years. Along with music development, albums are not only for listening to music but collecting. Thus, album corporation starts taking album cover design seriously, expecting that preciously design can appeal consumer’s collection. To sum up, this thesis collects independent music album cover, found that independent music has a great proportion using illustration design. It can cumulate three reasons, first of all, independent music producers do not have exposures, and it may cause inefficient promotion in portrait photography. Secondly, illustration style can express its unrestrained experimental music style. Thirdly, illustration enables inexpensive budget compared to realistic photography in terms of visualization effect. Hence, this thesis uses Tsai’s seven albums as research targets to investigate the connection and appropriation between illustration and music. By using research survey approach and KJ approach, it has re-designed music performances which have large scales between album ingredient and visualization. Following is this thesis consolidate research purpose, 1. Clarify the development of independent music and illustration culture’s background by literature and former research. 2. Design the questionnaire by investigation analysis approach, in order to realize these seven albums cover design can whether correctly convey messages to audiences by using colors and visual elements and provides an example for the later designer. 3. Through re-design procedure and reviewing, it can restart using illustration style on album cover design, appealing young generations to know independent music.

In recent years, due to rapidly industrial and commercial development, water demand increases dramatically. Nowadays, water shortage problem becomes the key issue in nation''s economical development projects. For sustainable development of water resources, carrying capacity of water environment has to be considered in regional development planing. It indicates that future water management has to be shifted from supply-side to demand-side. The main purpose of this study, is to explore carrying capacity of a water environmental from the view point of water resource. The methodology of the study could be divided into four main stages as follows: the definition of water resource carrying capacity, estimation the potential of surface, subsurface and baseflow, examination the content of environmental water uses, and calculation the reliability of water resource carrying capacity for the maximum population equivalent in the regional development. Chung-Kaung Chi basin is chosen as the study area. Potential surface water is evaluated based on flow duration curve (FDC), and mean annual flow is estimated by Chow''s formula. For those ungauged stations, dimensionless FDC can be used. At the outlet of the Chung-Kaung Chi basin, it is estimated that mean annual surface flow and coefficient of variation (COV) are 2.63and 0.1825 respectively. For baseflow estimation, concept adopted from Linsley (1982) and Tzou (1996) is used to carry on baseflow separation. It''s estimated that mean annual baseflow and COV at outlet of the basin are 0.34 and 0.3294 respectively. Both ground water hydrograph (GWH) and cumulative rainfall departure (CRD) methods are used to estimate annual recharge. It indicates that GWH method is better than CRD method in accuracy. Hence, GWH is used and it shows that mean annual ground water recharge and COV at the outlet of the basin are 1.58 and 0.3139 respectively. Also, the relationship between annual rainfall and recharge is established. Furthermore, recharge depth isopleths for the basin are constructed. Because environmental water use is still disputable, so have one to three times of fishery water use (Tennant,1975) instead. In the reliability analysis of water resource carrying capacity, all water resources (surface, subsurface, and baseflow) are treated as normal and lognormal distribution. From the results, they show that reliability of water resource carrying capacity for the optimum land-used allocation (with water demand = 17,763,236) reaches 100%. If different degree of water resources development and environmental water use are considered, reliability reduces obviously and optimum land-used will be changed.

The Chinese headline of the thesis is educational concepts and contributions of Venerable Master Chin Kung. The purpose of this thesis is to discuss his educational philosophy and dedication Regarding this topic, from the materials of Australian Chin Kung school and Lujing Centre of Cultural Education Produce in Anhui China, we can find Master Chin Kung was guided by Master Yin Guang and lay teacher Lee Ping-nan to be an excellent master. In modern Chinese Buddha history, Master Chin Kung advocates dual path of emptiness and existence by constant practices. Especially, he integrated the negotiation of Confucianism and Buddhism into education in order to promote sages education and Buddha education and developed traditionally ethic culture internationally. In this paper, I begin to explore Chin Kung Master’s educational concepts and contributions from four aspects such as the amalgamation of Confucianism ,Taoism and Buddhism, Master Yin Guang, lay teacher Lee Ping-nan, his old concepts and Lujing Centre of Cultural Education Produce. First of all, Mou Zi Li Huo Lun states that in the beginning, the conflict between Confucianism and Buddhism was caused by the cultural difference. The biggest conflict was from monks shaving their hair, which was against the traditional Confucianism “The body is from parents. You shall never damage it. “ The earliest conflict between Confucianism and Buddhism was from Zhou Shu Yi Ji. The book recorded that Buddha was born before Luo Zi; however, Buddha’s philosophy was getting more accepted by people. That is why Buddha’s influence was getting stronger than Lou Zi’s. Luo Zi Xi Sheng Hua Hu Jing indicated that Buddhism was from Taoism but from abroad. On the other hand, foreign monks brought the concepts of “ghost and god” and “life and death” into China as result of reducing the revenue of Taoism. The economical benefit created the confrontation between Buddhism and Taoism. Thus, Taoists could not cooperate with Buddhists. Taoists turned to Confucianists for help. Taoism used Sa Po Lun to attack Buddhism. Sa Po Lun means Buddhism advocated damaging your country, damaging your family and damaging your body. Mr. Bing-Nan Lee is not only a monk from Confucianism to Buddhism but also a superior student to Master Yin Kuang. He inherited Master’s concept “ thought from your mind, sound from your mouth, and mind engraving from your ears”. The negotiation of Confucianism and Buddhism is also the feature of Confucianism and Buddhism education. Master Chin Kung did not receive regular education in his childhood. He had Master Jia Chang and NTU Professor Tung-Mei Fang as his teachers. Last, he was instructed by Mr. Lee Bing-Nan. He carried forward the negotiation of Confucianism and Buddhism internationally, which is greatly valued by the western world. Master Chin Kung’s education thoughts are from Original Chinese Text, Tractate of the Most High One on Actions and Consequences and The Discourse On The Ten Wholesome Ways Of Action. Original Chinese Text is the base of morality. Tractate of the Most High One on Actions and Consequences is about cause and effect. The Discourse On The Ten Wholesome Ways Of Action is the base of Buddhalism education. These 3 steps substitute small contractors Buddhism by Chinese Confucianism and Taoism. The main idea is to mix and understand other religions and cultures smoothly to achieve world peace ideal education. Master Chin Kung practices the idea of the negotiation of Confucianism and Buddhism. He established Lujing Centre of Cultural Education Produce to build schools in Lujing in Anhui province to recover the lost ethic, and cause and effect education since 5000 years ago. The success of Lujing case drew Chinese government attention to take it effect into the prison in Hainan province. The government educated the prisoners with Chinese ethics. Master Chin Kung promotes his educational concept by using the negotiation of Confucianism and Buddhism, and Chinese ethics, which is the very important asset to the world and society. To sum up, I elaborate Master Chin Kung’s educational concepts and contributions starting from the negotiation of Confucianism ,Taoism and Buddhism. Then, Master Chin Kung inherited the philosophy of Master Yin Guang and Mr. Lee Bing-nan. Finally, Lujing Centre of Cultural Education Produce has successfully established schools. All the above has exemplified Master Chin Kung’s contributions historically and documentarily.

' One may distinguish himself in any trade' chorus suite based on Professor Yong-Gang Li’s Chinese music creating theoriers, However is the theory practical motive? How is and the rational feasibility of its theory? However, I want to discuss that the motivation behind his creaton and if the theory is practical in the paper. The western music has been poured into China in a large amount since Qing Dynasty. The theory of the American-European music, works have been injecting new blood into Chinese music constantly, with the rapid westernized speed since the May Fourth Movement. A lot of musicians are cultivated , however, despite of at the same time all the growth in music paying and composing a or the research on musicology, the research on the theory of the music is not much, with the occidentalizing impact of the trend, the Chinese composers use the theory of the western music, in the skill (technology) their skill is out of question but not get deeply to the meaning and expression. After all, chinese music is different from the western one. Under the chinese composers begin to consider what is chinese music, and how to create it? These questions have been stored in Chinese musicians’ minds all the time. It is not until after WWII that relevant theories and research are fully–develop! However, because there were too few music theoreticians in China at that time to produce the intact theory of creating. Influenced by the Chinese style music, more and more musicians begin to probe into and study the theory about Chinese style music, famous composers such as, You-Di Huang, Shin-Hai Shian, Wen-Zhong Zhou, Chang-Hui Xu, Yi Chen, Tan Dun, Ho-long Ma, Hwaung-long Pan, etc. created Chinese style melodies. Professor Yong-Gang Li is composer of this period, He grew up in war-time and promoted anti-communism in his middle age, It is in his old age he creates his personal style professor Yong-Gang Li is theories well-known and seen as a music educationist, but his creative music is less mentioned; But I see a lot of theories combining with ctreative work in his music such as ' Chang jiang River ' and large-scale chorus works as ' One may distinguish himself in any trade' particularly with ' One may distinguish himself in any trade' is professor’s account in one’s own experimental based on modern Chinise music theory, witch is the focal point that this text intend to probe into. On the street, it is the best way to learn the original local culture. Residents along the street formed the street space according to their own functional requirement and aesthetics perception in the past. However, the wave of functionalism made governments and professionals took place that space of street is no longer wholly belonging to local residents. The street space from considerations of urban function replaced the one which once totally concerned with local life. The streets were becoming unlivable gradually. Regarding such problem, street space rebuilding following the tide of urbanism was rising. The major issue here is proving comfortable walking environment. Taiwan had started a lot of rebuilding projects, and it was just beginning. Taiwan started a lot of rebuilding projects, which was just a beginning. But, most of the relative researches here were all about creating the amenity of pedestrian environment and few were concerned about interaction between the private interior space of street residents and public exterior space of street. Based on the methodology of Grounded Theory, this article was revealing long term interaction between private space of residents and public space of street, analyzing the phenomenon contributed by the trends of street space rebuilding, and further, finding the causes of the phenomenon and the meaning it represented, to examine the policy of rebuilding street space in Taiwan. Based on the methodology of Ground Theory, This article analyzed the processes of the long term interaction between the private space of residents and public space of streets in the space of urban commercial streets, and reviewed the phenomenon contributed by the trends of street space rebuilding and, further, found the causes of the phenomenon and the meaning it represented, introducing to examine the policy of rebuilding street space in Taiwan. The article showed that after the space of street was opened to the residents, they would use four ways: turning, invading, pillaging, filling, to modify the space of street to meet their functional requirement and aesthetic perception. That would form various spaces and make public domain into private, causing disorder. The article suggested that space of street as a public space shared by local residents and urban citizens, the planning and designing of pedestrian street must keep the behavior of local residents in mind, and clarify the boundary of public domain to ensure the rights of other street users.

After taking over Taiwan , Qing regime launched its governance of Taiwan with poor central government financial resources. The aboriginal boundary between aborigines and Han settlers was drawn in 1722 (Kangxi 61st Year). The whole process indicated that the border policy of Qing regime in Taiwan was in vain and there were numerous conflicts between aborigines and Han immigrants. The aboriginal boundaries were set and reset from time to time in Qing dynasty. The boundaries represented the front lines of waste land development and the country. They also continuously moved forward to inner mountains. A frontier society that was dominated and controlled by Han Chinese was formed to develop the wasteland. Taking Chin Kuang Fu organization and Kuang Tai Cheng organization in Hsinchu and Miaoli as main focus, this dissertation aims at conducting a longitudinal and cross-regional analysis and comparison of organizations during different periods of time in Qing dynasty from 1834 to 1920. Based upon methods of prohibition, partition, and separation, population separation in border regions of Taiwan was applied gradually from a loose population separation to a solid separation that was controlled by armed forces. Such separation served as a final protective line for the Qing regime in order to strength its governance, constrain activities in Han people, and manager the relationships between aborigines and Han immigrants. Furthermore, in the processes of paddy field in the border regions of Taiwan , the governance of Qing regime was achieved by enhanced participation of local agencies and by collaborations between government and organizations. Because of global marketing and economic interests, the aboriginal regions were forced to open later. Qing regime gradually started to collaborate with those organizations in the border regions of Taiwan . The policy of separation in the 18th century went away in the 19th century. The control of border regions relied on the assistance from the border regions. In mountainous regions, profits of camphor were the main purpose of waste land development. In order to make some profit and achieve governance, the establishments of Chin Kuang Fu organization and Kuang Tai Cheng organization in late Qing dynasty served as a platform between government and local agencies. In the case of Chin Kuang Fu organization, the majority was Hakka settlers and those settlers that were from the same ancestral home as their leaders were more favorable. In contrast, in the case of Kuang Tai Cheng organization, such regional identity was not that obvious except in the Zhuolan area. They were united under Hakka identity and incorporated with each other through waste land development. These were characteristics of frontier society in the border regions. The impact of leaders and resources development may bring new insights into the development of Hakka community in the mountainous regions of Taiwan .

One of the targets for vocational schools is to help their students get the technician license, level C. For vocational school students in the hospitality group, both the excessive number of students and the inadequate teaching facilities have contributed to their learning inefficiency. In recent years, the Ministry of Education has been promoting the educational policy of incorporating computer information technology into classroom learning.Meanwhile, many references also reveal that the use of teaching videos can improve students’ learning efficiency to some degree. Nevertheless, only a few teachers do follow the policy in fact. The thesis aims to point out the difficulties that the teachers in the hospitality group face when making teaching videos. Fifteen teachers from vocational schools in New Taipei City are interviewed. The interview includes questions like the application of teaching videos in class, teachers’ attitude toward such teaching facilitating method , and the difficulties for teachers to make teaching videos. The thesis concludes four key potential factors which affect the implementation of teaching videos in classroom: teachers’ individual professional ability, the copyright regarding teaching videos, teachers’ computer literacy, the school administration support, and the hardware facilities in classroom. Based on the conclusion, some inspiration is given to the authorities concerned for future research.

The intention that Guang Si-Ma wrote “Tzu-chih tong-jian” was rather take “Zuo-Zhuan” as a model than follow the example of “Chun-Chiu.” “Zuo-Zhuan” originated from explaining the meaning of “Chun-Chiu,” and “Tzu-chih tong-jian” inherited “Zuo-Zhuan.” There are some similarities between them because both of them are influenced by “Chun-Chiu.” This essay aims to discuss the Penmanship of “Chun-chiu” of “Tzu-chih tong-jian,” and then to investigate the succession and the change that “Tzu-chih tong-jian” comes from “Chun-Chiu.” The Penmanship of “Chun-chiu” of “Tzu-chih tong-jian” can be discussed in two aspects: cerebration content and skill formality. In cerebration content, “ingenuously speaking according to the facts” is the main feature of “Tzu-chih tong-jian.” Guang Si-Ma used many methods such as “zhu-ci-bi-shi,” “shu-er-bu-zuo,” “zhu-chu-jian-yi,” “yi-xu-wei-yi,” “jie-oen-chi-shi,” ect to describe history events, which made readers find advantages and disadvantages from detailed and omitted, light and stress and different and similar. That is the key point of the Penmanship of “Chun-chiu.” Although the criticism of “Tzu-chih tong-jian” does not focus on every single word, there are “shu-zhi method,” “xu-zhi,” “zhong-chi-zhu-shu,” “cheng-wei-shio-zhi,” etc. Sometimes the author would also took circumlocutory way such as “yun-ce-bi-hong-tuo” and “qu-bi-hue-shi.” Others like “shen-zhan-shan-mo-chi-shi-guan,” “li-shi-lun-zan” and “chen-guang-yue” are the characters that “Tzu-chih tong-jian” not only followed but deepen the tradition. The follow and change of “Tzu-chih tong-jian” from the penmanship of “Chun-chiu” mainly presented in “zun-wang and ta-yi-tong,” “zheng-ming and li-zhi-si-xiang,” “yi-sia-guang,” “shi-wei-shen-shi,” etc. Some might be affected by “gong-yang theory.” However, the focus is always on how to manage and govern the society. According to the two aspects, we can find that “Tzu-chih tong-jian” did not only follow the penmanship of “Chun-chiu” but also came up with new insights. Therefore, it can also be a master of great leaning and integrity.
