<p> Chinese students have historically come to study in the United States at the college and post- secondary levels. In the last ten years, this phenomenon has spread exponentially to the high school level, but scant research exists on this topic. This paper investigates why Chinese students come to study in U.S. high schools, who these students are, what their academic and social experiences are, and what can be done to support them. The thesis examined the differences between the Chinese market, a fast-growing emerging market, and that of the United States, a well-known developed market. In order to understand the overall performance of the Chinese stock market, the research compared the risk and returns characteristics of Chinese stock markets using the S & P 500 Index for the 2000-2005 period. Findings show that significant differences exist between the Chinese and the U.S. markets. <p>Cyber counterintelligence (CCI) could be the United States' best defense against Chinese cyber aggression of Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR). Resumen

This study seeks to explore the articulated views and behavior of an important segment of Chinese population-- politically conscious intellectuals--toward the United States over the period of 1945-1950. During this period, warm Chinese feelings toward America as demonstrated during World War II when the United States was China's critical ally gradually switched to suspicion and resentment.
