Perkembangan jaringan komputer saat ini begitu pesat dengan seiringnya waktu, simulasi jaringan komputer sangat dibutuhkan pada langkah awal dalam pembangunan jaringan komputer serta menentukan bentuk dari jaringan yang akan di terapkan. Software cisco packet tracer 6.2 dapat digunakan sebagai simulasi yang menggambarkan arsitektur dan juga model dari jaringan komputer pada sistem jaringan yang digunakan nantinya. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi software cisco packet tracer 6.2 dapat menentukan bentuk jaringan yang akan di terapkan, baik penentuan topologi jaringan, penentuan concentrator, media transmisi, IP adrress, dan menentukan router. Simulasi mengenai jaringan dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi informasi tentang gambaran bentuk atau arsitektur jaringan, biaya konfigurasi, keadaan koneksi komputer dalam suatu jaringan serta alat dan bahan yang akan digunakan.

<span>Perkembangan jaringan komputer saat ini begitu pesat, monitoring jaringan komputer akan menjadi suatu hal yang sulit dan rumit. Koneksi jaringan komputer merupakan suatu hal yang mendasar dalam suatu jaringan, karena bila koneksi itu bermasalah maka semua jenis aplikasi yang dijalankan melalui jaringan komputer tidak dapat digunakan. Cisco packet tracer dapat digunakan untuk simulasi yang mencerminkan arsitektur dan juga model dari jaringan komputer pada sistem jaringan yang digunakan. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat menyebabkan terjadinya banyak perubahan dalam segala bidang. Salah satu bidang yang mengalami perubahan adalah bidang industri. Saat ini, industri berlomba untuk merancang perangkat elektronik yang dapat dikomunikasikan melalui jaringan internet. Sektor industri memanfaatkan konsep Internet of Things (IoT). IoT sendiri digunakan dalam manfaat komunikasi antar alat dan monitoring. Berdasarkan hal itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah perancangan smart home dengan menggunakan simulator cisco packet tracer. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap diantaranya : desain smart home dan pengujian dengan simulator cisco packet tracer. Peneliti membuat sebuah rancangan smart home dengan 3 komponen utama yaitu pintu, kipas angin dan monitoring camera. Ketiga komponen tersebut masing – masing memiliki protocol yang berbeda. Hasil dari pengujian menunjukan bahwa protocol smart home yang dirancang dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan rules yang telah ditentukan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media simulator cisco packet tracer terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo kompetensi adminitrasi infrastruktur jaringan dengan pembahasan firewall jaringan komputer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu Nonequivalen Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah 2 kelas pada jurusan teknik komputer dan jaringan di SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peserta didik kelas eksperimen mendapat nilai tuntas sebesar 10% untuk pretest dan 93,33% untuk posttest. Sedangkan peserta didik pada kelas kontrol mendapat nilai tuntas sebesar 6,67% untuk pretest dan 50% untuk posttest. Dengan rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 37,12% dan kelas kontrol 17,41%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas yang menggunakan media simulator Cisco Packet Tracer dan kelas yang tidak menggunakan media simulator Cisco Packet Tracer. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis simulator Cisco Packet Tracer efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI TKJ di SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo.

Koneksi jaringan komputer merupakan hal mendasar dalam sebuah jaringan. Karena saat koneksi menjadi error maka semua aplikasi yang menjalankan jaringan komputer tidak bisa digunakan. Pemantauan jaringan komputer akan menjadi sulit dan rumit. Cisco packet tracer dapat digunakan untuk simulasi yang menggambarkan model dan arsitektur jaringan komputer. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi cisco packet tracer, simulasi jaringan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai informasi tentang keadaan koneksi komputer dalam jaringan.

The Computer Networking course commonly taught in mixed mode involving lecture and practical session whereas beside face-to-face theory session, students need to experience hands-on activities in order to appreciate the technology and contents. Nevertheless the abstraction in Computer Networking course such as the complexity in TCP/IP network layering, the connection and configuration of client and server’s framework, differences in static and dynamic IP address configuration had imposed a great challenge for students to understand and grab the main concept of computer networking technology. As such, an approach of using computer network simulation and visualization tool in teaching and learning Computer Networking course is seen beneficial for educators and students. In this research, computer network simulation software of CISCO Packet Tracer was utilized in Computer Networking (MTN3023) course. Students (N=55) were exposed to CISCO Packet Tracer on which they developed Wide Area Network (WAN) that consists of configuration activities of Personal Computer (PC), Servers and Switches according to CISCO standard. Subsequently, student’s feedback and their insight on the effectiveness of CISCO packet Tracer in learning computer networking were probed using questionnaire. All the feedbacks were investigating statistically using SPSS 16.0. From the analysis, the descriptive results shown that all students were agreed (N=32 : Strongly Agree; N=23 : Agree) that CISCO Packet Tracer had successfully help them to understand several key concepts of computer networking and at the same quash some abstractions they faced in the course. In a nutshell, CISCO Packet Tracer as a simulation and visualization tool had been proven to be an effective software in supporting the teaching and learning of computer networking course.

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of student learning outcomes by applying learning using simulation media based on simulation using Cisco packet tracer with learning using power point as a learning medium in class XI network infrastructure administration subjects Computer and Network Engineering 3 Vocational School 3 Pariaman. This study uses pre-experimental design. The instruments used are objective questions for evaluating cognitive data and practicum data sheets on skills data assessment. Furthermore, analyzing the normality testing, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. Cognitive assessment obtained results of the average of value the experimental class 83 and the control class obtained results 79. While the skills assessment results obtained 93.5 in the experimental class and the control class scored 79. The influence of the percentage produced 4.6% on cognitive values and 15.6% assessed skills. Hypothesis calculation obtained 2,76 results> 1,69 in the experimental class and 8,19> 1,69 in the control class where the data was declared normal. It was concluded that the use of Cisco packet tracer network simulation media had an influence on student learning out comes. So, Cisco packet tracer network media simulation is more efficient to use than media that uses power point.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Network Media Simulation, Cisco Packet Tracer

Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan strategi atau metode pembelajaran efektif di kelas, memperdayakan siswa serta memanfaatkan sumber yang ada di lingkungan sekolah. Aktifitas siswa dalam kegiatan mengajar tersebut ditandai dengan pertisipasi siswa dalam melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui peningkatan aktifitas dan belajar siswa melalui penerapan media pembelajaran Penerapan Cisco Packet Tracer Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Jaringan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Kelas XI TKJ di SMK Percis Halmahera. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak tanggal 1 Februari – 15 Maret 2021 dengan obyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI TKJ sebanyak 30 siswa. Pada pra-siklus ketuntasan klasikal 50%, setelah tindakan penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 71%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, meskipun pembelajar aplikasi Cisco Packet Tracer pada siklus I belum mencapai ketuntasan klasikal pembelajaran Cisco Packet Tracer dilanjutkan pada siklus II. Hasil pada siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 86,66%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tercapainya ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru sangat mempengaruhi terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini terbukti bahwa dalam penerapan Cisco Packet Tracer Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Jaringan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Kelas XI TKJ di SMK Percis Halmahera menjadi skor ketuntasan sebesar 85% secara klasikal.

Resumen
The Master's Thesis presents a theoretical introduction, familiarization with the issue and a implementation for a solution of a "network parameter validation" tool, which is founded on principle of network traffic monitoring. Firstly, the current development of computer network setup is analyzed with its limitations. This is an initial point for an introduction of a new approach for implementation and verification of required network setting, which uses techniques of verification, simulation and validation. After the introduction into the context, validation techniques are specifically examined. The Thesis main contribution lies in the capacity to determine appropriate parameters, which can be used for validation and also for implementation of the tool, which ensures validation process. The network traffic, which characterizes the behavior of the network, is collected by NetFlow technology, which generates network flows. These flows are consequently used by the designed tool used for validation of required network parameters. This process overall verifies whether the main computer network requirements have been met or not.

Мережі побудовані у програмному симуляторі Cisco Packet Tracer з використанням команд консолі CLI. Для вирішення поставлених задач використано методи системного аналізу та програмної симуляції. Мета роботи – дослідження теоретичних основ, методів і засобів побудови віртуальних локальних мереж у малих та побутових локальних мережах. Об'єктом дослідження є віртуальні локальні комп’ютерні мережі VLAN. Предметом дослідження є внутрімережевий трафік VLAN, транкування портів та каналів, процес інкапсуляції кадрів, а також маршрутизація трафіку між VLAN.

Проведений аналіз концепції технології Інтернету речей. Досліджено принцити проектування інтелектуальної мережі розумного будинку. Розглянуто застосування інтелектуальних пристроїв та датчиків у різних аспектах життя. Проаналізовано ринок Інтернету речей, а також опитування серед кінцевих користувачів або потенційних користувачів системи розумного будинку. Створено схему інтелектуальної мережі розумного будинку у симуляторі Cisco Packet Tracer. Запрограмований мікроконтроллер Arduino ATmega2560. На основі схеми у Packet Tracer та налаштовано електронну модель розумного будинку на основі плати Arduino. Використані датчики загазованності, вологи, реле для підключення освітлення та системи вентиляції, датчик руху та відкриття дверей. Передбачено використання сигналізації та сповіщення господаря через SMS з використанням GSM модуля. Результуючий проект протестований, підтверджена легкість у користуванні та коректне виконання запрограмованих сценаріїв датчиками.

Сгенеровані команди можливо скопіювати завдяки зручному графічному інтерфейсу. Також для легко вводу вхідних данних були розроблені зручні та прості поля вводу. Веб-додаток був реалізований на основі фреймворку Vue JS, що робить його якісним та повністю покриваючим всі сучасні вимоги до програмного забезпечення.

Core and integral to the fourth industrial revolution, knowledge economy, and beyond is information and communication technology (ICT); more so, during and post the novel coronavirus pandemic. Yet, there exists a skills gap in ICT networking and networks engineering. Not only do students perceive ICT networking to be difficult to comprehend, lecturers and institutions grapple with the adequacy of ICT networking equipment. Real-life simulators, like the Cisco Packet Tracer, hold the promise of alternate teaching opportunities and evidenced-based environments for (higher-order) assessment. Research in the last decade on ontology for assessments have focused on taxonomy and multiple-choice questions and auto-generation and marking of assessments. This chapter extends the body of knowledge through its ontology-based model for enabling and auto-assessing performance-based and/or pseudo-psychomotor assessment. The auto-grading online submission system assists with authenticity and enables authentic and/or sustainable assessments.

The world is moving towards a new generation of internet, the internet of things (IoT). This technological jump is improving the way we live by creating a bridge between the physical and the virtual world. Researchers are curious about the field from different perspectives especially managing of the complexity and dynamicity of these systems. The main problem being targeted in this chapter is that IoT systems are exposed to many structural and behavioral changes due to internal and external factors. This study is about the necessity of having a mechanism that enables IoT systems to perform without breaks or shutdowns regardless of context changes. The solution consists of a contextual dynamic reconfiguration process implemented by a reflexive multilayered architecture. This process is based on the autonomic computing loop. The authors also integrated evolution styles to make reusable the reconfigurations applied on the architecture of the system. Validation of the proposed approach was made on an e-health scenario, which was simulated using Cisco Packet Tracer before performing real development.

Resumen
Original technology of monitoring network packets circulating within local network is described in the article. Technology is based on the dedicated workstation, operating in MS-DOS and getting all available packets. Aggregated data are transmitted to the nearest Windows-PC through serial-connection. Monitoring program on this PC is able to trace infected computers and disconnect them from the local network. This function works due to the Cisco switchboard. The book provides complete information about methods and means of monitoring as well as the description of the pilot version of the program. Technology is exercised as the pilot project in CEMI RAS in 2000 and is successfully used since 2006. The maximum number of users exceeded 200 PCs and servers. The author is awarded the title «Doctor of Philosophy» by EAI (Brussel) for his in-field research in 2003. Monography is recommended to publication by the FSBIS academic Council CEMI RAS.
