The main goal of this study was to perform a detail mapping of CMMI maturity level 2 practices with agile methods and to write recommendations for achieving process area goals. The review of literature revealed mapping problems between CMMI model components and agile methods. The existing mappings between CMMI and agile methods are incomplete and often do not give enough details. Therefore new mapping principles were described and written by author. They allow to perform mapping between CMMI components and agile methods’ practices and artifacts and to evaluate how largely and which process area practices are covered by agile activities. Two agile methods were selected for research (Scrum and XP). And process areas of the CMMI maturity level 2 were chosen for applying described principles. Detail CMMI practices and agile method activities mapping was done using described method, which revealed least satisfied process area practices. According to the mapping results, the recommendations how to achieve CMMI level 2 were written. They state which activities could be included or what tools could be used in order to achieve process improvement in accordance with CMMI.

CAPES

ABSTRACT: The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process optimization model, developed by Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon, which provide to the organisations the essential elements to effectively manage software projects. A large number of big companies of software development are now adopting the necessary ways towards a correct implementation and monitoring of the CMMI certification, requiring human resources and informatic systems that allow all of the standard requirements. Enumerous studies evidende that small companies are able to implement a improvement on its software processes, as effectively as big companies do. However, CMMI is a big challenge to the most of small companies. The objective of this work is to study deeply the CMMI model and its various components, and to prepare the Metatheke company to reach the capacity level 2 of CMMI model, in the following proces areas: Requirements Management, Requirements Development, and Technical Solution.

Be to, daugelio programinės įrangos projektų faktiniai kaštai ir terminai net kelis kartus viršija planinius. Populiariasi yra du modeliai: CMMI, sukurtas SEI (Software Engineering Institute)[10] instituto, bei ISO/IEC 15504 standartas, sukurtas ISO (International Organization of Standartization) bei IEC (InternationalElectrotechnical Commission)[11].
Enteprise maturity assessment and analysis tool based on different models Software development teams are confronted with difficulties such as incorrect planned financial and time resources, low product quality and disappointed client. To solve those problems there are methodic and tools to improve software process capability. Tools for software process capability maturity assessment and support are implemented by particular models. Basic supported models are CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE). CMMI model is based on ISO/IEC 15504 standard. CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504 models are compatible. Software process capability maturity assessment quality should increase by using both models together. Consequently was decided to develop a tool supporting two models – CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504.

Over the past two decades, software engineering researchers and practitioners have developed, studied, and used standards and models for software process improvement and assessment. CMMI ("Capability Maturity Model Integration") is a widely known software process maturity model that describes the practices that should be performed by mature organizations. However, there is also no clear mapping between process improvement and business goals, and few authors provide guidance on how to implement the CMMI Specific Practices (SPs) within a Process Area or Maturity Level. This thesis proposes an SP implementation reference model that maps inter-dependent SPs to particular improvement outcomes. The CMMI specification is interpreted using qualitative textual analysis to develop schemes to frame CMMI SPs from the perspectives of outcomes, activities, and work products. The first scheme is an SP classification model, defined by four outcome areas (organization, process, project and product) and four activity groups (plan, do, check and improve). The SPs in Maturity Level 2 are assigned to one or more of sixteen outcome/activity categories and are analyzed in terms of those categories. The second scheme is an SP dependencies model, created by identifying work products used and produced by SPs, and by graphically visualizing their relationships. The SPs in Maturity Level 2 are analysed using the scheme to provide a reference model of their order of implementation, given the identified relationships. The third scheme is a goal-directed SP implementation planning reference model constructed by combining the two earlier schemes. This scheme uses an algorithm to search for all the dependency precedents of SPs in a given outcome/activity category. Conditions are also defined to reduce some of the dependencies. The output shows the SPs required to achieve the goal that the given category represents, and shows the order of implementation for those SPs, respecting the dependency constraints. This model is intended to guide practitioners in prioritizing and sequencing the implementation of SPs. The three schemes contribute to the CMMI research community by increasing understanding about what can be improved by CMMI SPs, with reference to the outcomes of implementing SPs, and about how software processes can be improved using CMMI, with reference to the implementation order of SPs. They also contribute an analytical approach to interpret the practices in SPI specifications. The SP classification model is used to reinterpret previous research to show that SMEs tend to focus on planning and doing project-related and product-related practices, but not on checking or improving project-related or product-related practices. When planning and developing products, SMEs try to ensure that the project progresses as planned to meet the deadline. However, practices that support this are lacking within CMMI, especially for estimation, evaluation, verification, and validation. The thesis also contributes to the CMMI community by identifying points of ambiguity, inconsistency and incompleteness in the CMMI standard.

It\'s possible to notice in the daily work of companies that pressure by decreasing the delivery of software is still a reality. It is in this context that companies adopt the techniques of agile software development, implementing and establishing constant deliveries and short iterative cycles in the process of software development. But if on the one hand these techniques aim to innovate and reduce development time, on the other, companies feel pressured to adopt the traditional way of maintaining the quality of software. At this point, the CMMI is presented as maturity model worldwide recognition, classified in the traditional approach for preaching extensive formalism and focus on the process, as the agile approach puts individuals and their interactions is more important than processes and tools, where being adaptable changes is more important than following the strict what was planned. By integrating these two models of different approaches, it is expected that agile practices can help organizations mature to become more flexible. In order to investigate this integration is that this study uses the research method of case study so as to deepen the companies that have decided to adopt CMMI and agile development model. The goal is to raise as these companies solved the trouble spots of the traditional approach and agile in order to become more effective. The study also contain a framework for integrating CMMI vs. Agile development in order to list the points that deserve more attention and effort to adapt in order to achieve integration.

The automotive sector is one of the most daring in terms of quality, requiring because of that certification to ISO/TS 16949. Although these companies dominate this certification, some lose in the subsequent audits or get little improvement beyond existing. There is evidence that they do not have the maturity to obtain or maintain such certification or guidelines to continually improve. In previous work, it was found out that certified companies had at least level 2 maturity, 1 (minimum) and 5 (maximum), which means a company defined and manageable process. However, what enables the company to improve its indexes have the process is controlled and integrated. The lack of maturity of a product development process (PDP) triggers scrap and rework, compromising the efficient use of resources, impacting the time and cost of development and, indirectly, the quality of the process and final product. However, the guidelines do not have certified companies to improve their processes. For this, the ISO would require some resource associated in order to provide guidance on the aspects that need to be improved. Whereas CMMI is an effective method for obtaining diagnostic and maturity that considers the integration of PDP, this work aims to identify the association between the ISO/TS 16949 and CMMI-DEV 1.2 method. Presenting an overview of PDPs, quality certification and process maturity. Later, associated variables are involved in a process of ISO 9001 certification and the variables evaluated in the ISO/TS 16949 with the variables involved in assessing the maturity level 2 with CMMI-DEV 1.2. The paper explains which items are considered by the ISO/TS 16949, CMMI highlighting items that could be used for diagnosis complement for companies that wish to improve the quality factor, adding, in parallel, more efficiency and productivity of their production processes.

In Master paper there has been taken analysis of CMMI for Developement and ISO/IEC 15504 capability and maturity models, an algorithm of mapping basic elements of the models has been made, mapping of the basic elements of the models has been carried out. Paper also includes evaluation of ISO/IEC 15504 maturity levels(first, second and third) according to the new part of the ISO standard which have been added in the autumn of 2008. The result which has been obtained is unique and never published - the mapping of CMMI for Development 1.2 and ISO/IEC 15504 maturity levels. That mapping can either tell the organization maturity level in terms of ISO/IEC 15504 when maturity of the same organization in CMMI terms is known or suggest what way to choose to assess the organization maturity in case there are not enough data to tell the organization‘s maturity level in terms of ISO/IEC 15504.

Resumen
From the perspective of business process improvement models, a business process which is compliant with best practices and standards (e.g. CMMI) is necessary for defining almost all types of contracts and government collaborations. In this thesis, we propose a formal pre-appraisal approach for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) compliance checking based on a Maude-based formalization of business processes in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The approach can be used to assess the designed business process compliance with CMMI requirements as a step leading to a full appraisal application. In particular, The BPMN model is mapped into Maude, and the CMMI compliance requirements are mapped into Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) then the Maude representation of the model is model checked against the LTL properties using the Maude’s LTL model checker. On the process model side, BPMN models may include structural issues that hinder their design. In this thesis, we propose a formal characterization and semantics specification of well-formed BPMN processes using the formalization of rewriting logic (Maude) with a focus on data-based decision gateways and data objects semantics. Our formal specification adheres to the BPMN standards and enables model checking using Maude’s LTL model checker. The proposed semantics is formally proved to be sound based on the classical workflow model soundness definition. On the compliance requirements side, CMMI configuration management process is used as a source of compliance requirements which then are mapped through compliance patterns into LTL properties. Model checking results of Maude based implementation are explained based on a compliance grading scheme. Examples of CMMI configuration management processes are used to illustrate the approach.

____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
The objective of all organization is to obtain efficient and fast results with less resource. Software Engineering Institute (SEI) has released CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) Version 1.2 in 2009 which aims to help improve the services processes like service system development and service delivery, and assure the service quality and customer satisfactions for service providers in various types of industries. According to the statistics from SEI, 50 organizations worldwide have obtained certification of CMMI-SVC. However, there is still no CMMI-SVC certified company even though there are already 157 CMMI-DEV certified organizations in Taiwan. This study focuses on the feasibility evaluation of domestic Taiwanese CMMI-DEV organizations to implement CMMI-SVC. The differences between CMMI-SVC and CMMI-DEV in the core process areas are first analyzed. The method of focus group interview is adopted to gather the opinions from several experienced consultants and specialists in software service domain. The findings are presented as following: (1)Few process assets built by CMMI-DEV are reusable when implementing CMMI-SVC because of the concept of software development and service delivery is different. (2)Benefits gained from the service of software project for domestic software companies are very few. Therefore, their top managers place unimportance on software service process to date. The mindset of the managers and the customers should be changed. (3)Compared to ISO 20000, CMMI-SVC is more detailed. On the other hand, it requires more efforts for implementation. For the concern of cost, we suggest that domestic software companies consider the implement of ISO 20000 first and find more details from CMMI-SVC documentation. The further evaluation of implementing CMMI-SVC could be conducted when the company has benefitted from the implementation of ISO 20000.

Nowadays, companies take greater care in defining appropriate practices for the successful product development, having emerged various methodologies that assist companies in this task. The CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a model that has a set of practices to be applied in organizations, presenting itself as a methodology of process maturity. According to the SEI (Software Engineering Institute), most companies in Portugal are certified, with level two and three of maturity in a scale of one to five. Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, SA, organization where this study took place, is a renowned company engaged in the production of electronic systems, emerging with a maturity level two. To better understand what obstacles exist in implementing this methodology, two questionnaires were applied on a first phase, and preceded to the reimplementation of CMMI at Bosch on a second phase. The questionnaires aimed to collect the perceptions of those who deal daily with the CMM, namely Bosch workers (1st survey) and companies certified by SEI in Portugal (2nd survey) - allowing us a more extensive overview. The questionnaire’s results indicate, among other aspects, a difficult implementation due to bureaucracy and lack of standard documents and processes – perceived as disadvantageous aspects within CMMI. Based on these perceptions, we have done a reimplementation of CMMI, in the second phase of the study at Bosch, through the creation of standard documents and processes involving top managers with the aim to improve the process control. Finally, linking perceptions and results from the reimplementation, we consider the good use of CMMI as fundamental in assuring efficient production.

The explosive growth of literature, which is difficult to follow by researchers, has been the driver of the development of effective literature analysis methods. The intellectual structure of a knowledge domain is a way to map the relevant studies of a research field to facilitate the understanding of a research domain. One of the citation datasets was retrieved from Web of Science in April 2008. We mapped the intellectual structure of CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and found five sub- areas in this field study. To develop the CMMI intellectual structure, 796 relevant literatures in the field of CMMI were analyzed. We use principle component analysis to identify the main subfields in the domain. The articles under each factor are mapped out using Pathfinder Net with which the proximity and relationships of these subfields can be visualized. The five sub-areas we found are extremely matching the field of CMMI. Another citation dataset was retrieved from CiteSeer in August 2006. As the same procedure used to analyze the dataset from Web of Science, 1,334 relevant literatures in the field of CMMI were analyzed. The nineteen sub-areas we found are most matching the field of CMMI. The characteristics of two intellectual structures are different. The sub-areas of Web of Science are relevant with management field; and the ones of CiteSeer are relevant with computer science and computer engineering fields. We could link up the results to complement each other as a most effective reference for researchers.

The current state of health care in Taiwan is not as advanced as developed countries like America or Japan in the following aspects: system, standard, size and the method. Most health care centers still use paper and pencil as their recording method. Thus, it results in inefficiency in the aspects of recording, searching and computing for the for statistic data. Therefore, it’s not only a big burden for the quality of taking care of elders but the staff who work at the care centers. As both the size and number of the health care centers increase recently, each resident should receive care of better quality. In order to improve the quality and standard of the elder care centers in Taiwan, the study uses CMMI to judge and evaluate the care system situation of elder. By using the PDCA cycle and Fish Bone Diagram as our main analysis software tools, the goal of the study is to develop a web-based elder health care system that can assess and revise the procedures. It is anticipated that with such application, the efficiency and quality of the service can be improved. The research is to make the quality level of this software to be at least level 2 of CMMI. According to CMMI-SE/SW model, level 2 means “already being managed and there are 7 critical procedure indices. During the development of this system, we will focus on RM, PP, PMC, PPQA as the 4 main procedures in our actual application.

The vigorous development of information technology and the increasing demands from companies on information systems results in a surge in the complexity and importance of software project management. Problems in budget overrun, schedule delay and poor quality are often reported. In order to face the problems, the SEI (Software Engineering Institute) announced CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) in 2002. Since then, global software companies haveactively participated and implemented the matrix as a basis of their capabilities. The number of participating companies has grown drastically in recent year. This development reveals that CMMI has been internationally recognized as a useful tool to enhance product quality and improve internal efficiency for software development organizations. The CMMI model provides software companies with a systematic methodology in software development and maintenance, so as to achieve goals of customer satisfaction and cost reduction. However, Taiwanese software companies are mostly of small and medium companies. Many of them took a "wait-and-see" attitude towards CMMI implementation, due to cost considerations. Evaluation and counseling cost charged by consultant companies are high. In addition, during the implementation process, a long period of time, dedicated human resources, tools, and other resources are required. It would be nice if one can perform a self evaluation, and improve the gap between existing software process and CMMI standards before actual implementation, since it will substantially reduce the actual effort in CMMI implantation. This study attempts to make use of the generic practice, specific practice, and detail execution methods defined by CMMI standards to carry out an evaluation process for a software company. Results are presented and managerial recommendations to the target company are presented.

According to the planning of the Taiwan’s government, more than fifty percent of the governmental software purchase will require the tendering companies to reach a level 2 or 3 capability of maturity model integration (CMMI) in 2008. Therefore, to employ the CMMI has become a popular issue within the software industry in Taiwan. The obtainment of CMMI certification is believed to be beneficial for the software service providers to promote their qualities in developing information systems. However, to build up a CMMI mechanism also means to invest in a great amount of money and resources, which impacts significantly on the process of business administration for the organizations. In view of this, the purpose of this research is to create a model to calculate the probability of successfully building up a CMMI mechanism for a company. The researcher hopes to reach this goal by employing the General Linear Model and considering the effecting factors, which includes the company’s ability to execute and its working characteristics when building up CMMI. First of all, the researcher used the methodology of random distribution to obtain the random-selected data from all the evaluation factors, and define a comprehensive index concerning factors influencing CMMI build-up in a company by the method of Principal Component Analysis. Secondly, the researcher applied the Maximum Likelihood Method and the Newton-Raphson Method to result in the approximate value of the working characteristics of CMMI build-up. Finally, the researcher calculated the probability of successfully building up a CMMI mechanism for a company by bringing the approximate value of the working characteristics and the evaluated value of the company’s ability to execute into the General Linear Model. In a word, by simulation the random-selected data was collected, the comprehensive index was defined, and thereafter the probability of successfully building up a CMMI mechanism was calculated. Furthermore, the researcher repeated the previous step for 30 times to calculate the confidential period. The researcher believes the model created in this research can provide as a reference for a company to make a better evaluation before applying CMMI. It can also be employed to measure present resources of this company, to calculate the probability of successfully building up a CMMI mechanism, and to investigate the weighted values of various factors to assure the project goals to be reached without unnecessary waste of resources.

At the end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first, open source has emerged as an important and increasing research focus in the computer-related fields. This phenomena stems from both their conceptual re-use of coding and their practical use in a variety of business setting. In Taiwan, most people concern about the advantages and benefits associated with open source and often ignore the cognitive change of programmers when developing the documents of open source in terms of CMMI standards The main purposes of this study were twofold. First, it investigated the cognitive change of the programmers, working for the National Science Council open source project, from the schema-based perspective. Second, from the viewpoint of time period, it compared individuals or groups schema differences by using open coding and axial coding. The results indicated that two groups (used and not-use) have similar schemata in ”system requirement”, “negative psychology ” and “planning” after t1 period. The end of t2 period, two groups shared with common schemata in ”standard”, “benefits”, ”supportable design” and “negative psychology ”. Moreover, ”individual difficulties” and “individual implementation” differences existed between two groups. The reasonable explanation is that group one conducted study with CMMI, deeply built original schemata in mind, longer than group two did.

Along with the booming development of the technology, the enterprise needs more complex applications, so project development and management is gradually complicated. Under these circumstances, many companies not olny abroad but at home have known that CMMI is the key that business long-term development and profit. This research is focus on the request of CMMI Level 2, and explanation by developing an document management information system project. When faceing the huge structure of the CMMI and the document of the lengthinesses, many organizations while staring the model of CMMI, will meet to hard put the initiatory problem. The development team uses the IDEAL model and tied in requirement management tool, project management tool and configuration management tool to easy and carry out huge burden of CMMI. In the aspects of actually making the result identification, the enterprise uses Software Development Capability Measurement Model (SDCMM), which is established by the "Software Industry Service Delegation" formed by the Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economics Affair for domestic small and medium software companies, as important reference to improve the software to develop the more higher mature level in CMMI. The result of evaluation proved that it successfully enhanced work efficiency and software process improvement in implementation.

Developing an application software system that fits the requirement of users is the ultimate goal for every software developer, and requirement management is the foundation for developing a software system smoothly. The targets and execution methods of CMMI (Capability Maturity Mode Integrated) specify only “what to do” but not “how to do” and software aid tool function. The software house should design individual requirement management system according to its capability maturity and goal, and choose software aid management tool with necessary functions. Therefore, the study focuses on management procedure and tool for requirement management. By using CMMI as guiding principles, the requirement management system will construct requirement management mechanism that includes requirement management planning, activities surveillance and a database centralized software prototype to manage the structured requirement. The last layer of structured requirements will be translated into requirements of program modules during the software development. The study successfully brings up CMMI requirement management system, structured requirement model and software aid management tool, and uses questionnaire to collect attitude and opinions of experienced information technology workers for verifying whether the mechanism mentioned above can manage requirements effectively.

Under the fast changing business environment, the manufacturer is no longer dominant in the market. Oppositely, it has become the customer-oriented, and all the product requirements are proposed by the customers. The manufacturer has to provide quality products to attract the attentions of the customers. It can increase the sales rate of the products. To reduce the costs and increase the profit, reducing the process of product manufacture and production time have become very important issues. After the gradual reformation of the military organization, it enhances its agility and response rate. The research and development and the production of the military products are required to conform to changing war types and strategies of the troops. It should provide various weaponries for military in suitable types and at right time. In spite of all the operation procedures are ISO-certified, it is usually formality, and it can not effectively and continuously improve the operation processes. In this research, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is applied to the process improvement of the manufacturing industry to get rid of the illusion of ISO certification. The details will be elaborated in later chapters. In the case study, CMMI can improve the operation processes effectively. Therefore, it proves that CMMI is not only applicable to the software development industry, but also suitable for the process improvement in manufacturing industry.

The main purpose of this paper is to develop a quality system by integrating ISO 9001 and CMMI, which solves a problem that ISO 9001 quality management system cannot provide an explicit improved guide, when it has been utilized to improve the quality of process. Since 1987 ISO 9001 had been published, worldwide enterprises adopted it to improve their quality management system. However, the enterprises for attention of ISO 9001 have decreased progressively, because ISO 9001 cannot provide an explicit improved guide to improve their quality system. Through reviewing past literatures, it is found that CMMI can improve the drawback of ISO 9001 on the process improvement. For settling the problem, the research adopted an integrating framework of ISO 9001 and CMMI proposed by Yoo et al. (2006) and combined a CMMI-level concept to establish a quality system by integrating ISO 9001 and CMMI-level concept for solving a drawback that ISO 9001 cannot provide an explicit improved guide. Besides, the research based on ISO 9001 clauses to develop new integrating clauses by combining ISO 9001 and CMMI-level concept. The new integrating clauses can improve the lack of ISO 9001 original clauses and provide an explicit improved guide to help enterprises improve their maturity of quality system. The research finding and their implications are further discussed in the following.

Due to the need of the process improvement of the software development industry, CMMI (Capability Model Maturity Integration) was proposed to sketch out the backbone of it. In this thesis, we will present the possibility of applying simulation technology to assist in the CMMI introduction through an industrial practical case. This thesis describes a simulation analysis example of our case study in software development processes improvement, processes integration from different companies, and for further CMMI introduction activities. We use SES/workbench simulation software to model the integration case and compare the simulation results through different scenario plots of resource allocation cases, which provides managers with processes adjustment experiences and estimation basis during introduction. This demonstrated the feasibility and ability of modeling and simulation technique to assist in CMMI introduction to organizations.

In recent years, the machine development industry transforms from traditional production into high-tech research and development, and the speed and quality of product development are crucial to the survival and development of business. In addition, the quality control systems of the machine development industry in Taiwan usually follow ISO quality control standard. Since the tailoring flexibility of ISO quality control standard is lower, the staffs of the organization are not willing to cooperate to implement it, and cause the resistance in ISO adoption and implementation. In contrast, the CMMI which is widely adopted by software developers has better flexibility in adaptation and is easier to be applied in organization. This research applies the Project Planning process area of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and PDCA, the Deming Cycle, to establish the standard continuous improved process for machine development project planning of the study case. In conclusion, the results of this research can help increase the competitiveness in the machine development industry.

Under the era of internet, the speed of information exchange becomes faster, and the life tempo of human being is getting tighter; moreover, internet has become one of the fast channels to obtain knowledge. In recent years, the Ministry of Education actively promotes “e-Campus”, and therefore the construction of campus network has become an important infrastructure. E-Campus does not only need to install good network equipments and hire excellent professionals, but also good process management. Close collaborations among all aspects are the main factors to improve the qualities of computerized administration, teaching and learning supports, and to enhance the competitiveness of the organization as well. There are many problems existing in campus network management, for example, the deficient operation management processes and imperfect maintenance processes, may cause bad qualities of service and maintenance, and furthermore it will increase the visible and invisible costs of management. Hence, to ensure good management qualities of service and maintenance, constructing a continuous improvement process of management is necessary. In this research, IDEAL model is employed to combine with the Organizational Process Focus process area of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) to improve the existing management process of IT department at the university. The results of this research can be provided as a good reference for process improvement on campus network management in the future.

In practice, the project management process framework does not limit to a specified one. The development of the project management process framework in different fields should meet the situation then and does not need to be the same. Thus it can fit the needs of different scales, different organizations, different environment, and different industries. Many researches address the development of the project management process framework. But the researches that address the project adaption when organizational project management strategy changed are not sufficient. This thesis, through analysis and interview, helps software developers who use PMBOK to manage projects. It gives a clear understanding about the impact and adaption of project management tasks when CMMI is introduced into an organization. According to our research, we conclude: (1) PMBOK defines the knowledge and skills that a project manager should have. It tells project managers what to do in the project management, but not how to do. (2) PMBOK emphasizes the capability of communication and integration. In addition to project management knowledge, the project management requires background knowledge. (3) CMMI is improving processes for developing better products and services. Its main objective is to improve the ability and the maturity of software development in an organization. It establishes a common project management framework to standardize the system and the procedures. This framework tells project managers what to do and how to do. (4) Lessons learned are a key element within both PMBOK and CMMI; yet, CMMI would further conduct analysis on those data to improve the project quality and success. (5) PMBOK and CMMI can support each other and supplement each other.

Any company in the world has the same purpose: to obtain profit! In order to survive in the competitive and demanding world of business, the companies will need to adapt to changes, but also try to be one step ahead of other competitors. A good strategy to achieve success and gain competitive advantage is through quality. Sometimes, organizations feel so happy with their daily performance that becomes reluctant to change, but with this they are only postpone the inevitable. In the competitive industry of software development, the ability to challenge and improve existing procedures, in order to be ever more perfect and accurate, mark the difference between a company that only meets the requirements of a client and another that ultimately exceed them. And when a customer has to choose one of them, certainly choose the one that best serve him, provide large guarantees of success and presents better results. The company under study, the Espírito Santo Informática, which after it was realized that its software development process had flaws, and trying also to optimize their processes for software development, began the "hard adventure" to implement a maturity model within the company, changing (in some cases dramatically) habits of work cemented in this company for several years. In addition to being shown the strategies for implementation, the before and after CMMI and all the difficulties inherent in this implementation, the main goal of this thesis is aiming to seek whether all decisions taken by the team responsible for this implementation were the best and most appropriate taking into account the needs and even the working methods and characteristics of employees who are part of the company under study.

In recent years, Taiwan's rapid economic growth took off, the traditional "have land is wealth" concept, so that Taiwan land transactions increasingly warm buildings, people gradually become an important investment in the pipeline. The real estate registration is an important legal behavior of all real estate transactions, means a right to apply for the state sector will get full information about the applicant's real property, loss and change, according to legal procedures published in the national real estate registration office filing, posted archives have some legal effect, and as such, real estate registration process is quite unimportant. Because real estate has not moved, scarce, expensive properties, how to improve the efficiency of real estate registration process in order to avoid triggering unnecessary legal disputes, resulting in loss of money and reputation intangible clients tangible and real estate industry, enhance staff professional quality, customer satisfaction , has become an important management issue now real estate company, but also the only way that parties may not be easily eliminated the majority of the market, the company is sustainable. Therefore, this study by the expression patterns under CMMI continuous organizational process focus process areas in the understanding of organizational processes and process assets, the advantages and disadvantages of the current situation, to meet specific goals, continuous process improvement, through proper evaluation, so that the improved real estate registration process, so that the service organization registered jobs, provide better quality of service than the current situation to the customer, and the customer complaint rate was significantly lower results.

Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs formally promoted the project of “Capability Maturity Model-Integrated, CMMI” since 2005 to facilitate the owners implement the CMMI system. The company of case study implemented CMMI project in 2005 and received CMMI ML3 certification in 2006. The company of case study had improved on processes, organization, human resource and system, as well as the benefits had achieved the performance goal of organization. After the success of reevaluation in 2009, they received the CMMI-DEV 1.2 ML3 certification and was continuing heading for High-Capability Maturity degree: ML4/ML5. However, 2010 was a critical year. Internally, due to the increasing demand for business, the organization altered by mergers and acquisition other companies, and caused the change of executive level. Externally, they faced a varied industrial environment: although the domestic demand became smaller, yet, the Cloud computing of government policy gave another opportunity for them. Furthermore, the speedy improvement of China and Ester-south Countries, who has developed toward system integration and software development as well, also became a pressure for them. It is now the company of case study comes to CMMI every-3-years reevaluation time. Owing to the change of organization, the high competition with other competitors and varying industrial environment, how dose the case company evaluate whether they should receive evaluation continuously or not is the pinpoint of this study.

The purpose of this study is to check the quality of service process. For appraising the quality of service, to establish appraisal model which is different from commonly using Performance results for the rubric nowadays. To build the level concept of the CMMI into the service level appraisal model in this study. Furthermore, to take SERVQUAL which is brought up by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry as basic aspect of this study. And as question model of the service behavior. Combine both to build the service level appraisal model. The tested object of the model is the first line service staff in a well-known hotel in northern Taiwan. This is a self-assessment test mode. Question model is the description of the service behavior. To achieve the appraisal which covers the quality of the process. In the presentation of the results, the first line service staff will be given a level. Use radar chart to show the weakness of the process attributes in quality of service. And use the straight bar chart to show the advantages of the quality of service. Against the weaknesses for testers, give recommendation to maintain and enhance the quality of service. It is helpful for improving on quality of service to the service staff. The results of the test can also let the organization to decide the implementation of the OJT or Off JT on this service staff. And make a more efficient plan of education and training programs.
