Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify details of technological, organizational and people (TOP) factors affecting maintenance technicians’ use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) in manual collection of asset data. Design/methodology/approach In addition to TOP factor details, results from six case studies in Finland, India and the Caribbean are presented. Interviews and observations clarify the role of TOP factors in CMMS use in industrial maintenance. Findings In total, 17 detailed TOP factors are identified and criteria for analyzing CMMS contexts with them are defined. Analyzing the cases with these factors reveals that technicians who collect good quality data have received good training and instructions for the CMMS, are competent, and understand how manually collected data benefits them in their own work. However, even these sites struggle with the usability of the CMMS. Research limitations/implications The 17 TOP factors and the criteria for CMMS evaluation extend understanding on context and usability in manual data collection. Case study method does not imply the relative importance of the TOP factors, which calls for future research using quantitative methods. Practical implications Management can use the criteria to analyze the context of manual data collection for improvements, e.g., in CMMS usability. Originality/value Insights from industrial environments and a new way of studying contextual factors of CMMS use are presented. The results extend a data quality research framework with details to manual data collection and define the TOP factors in CMMS context.

Resumen
Currently, the impacts of Industry 4.0 are observed in the construction industry, commonly referred to as Construction 4.0, emerging linked to technological innovations. Construction 4.0 presents a standardized model for smart cities and buildings, with the existence of some important points being essential, such as the capacity for adaptation, improvement and efficiency of resources and connections for everyone involved. As a result, new technologies and applications have been emerging that directly impact building maintenance activities, enabling increased efficiency and productivity in this sector, which reduces the risk of errors, failures and defects by maintenance managers. One of these applications is the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), which is a software solution designed to simplify building maintenance processes, in addition to improving the management of organizations' assets. In this sense, the present work aims to evaluate the CMMS available in the Brazilian scenario, showing the current panorama in which this technology has been presented to the market. To this end, we carried out a survey of the CMMS used by Brazilian maintenance companies using the snowball method to list the CMMS to be analyzed. The research carried out in 16 maintenance companies identified 9 CMMS, which were evaluated using the method proposed by Roscoff; Costella; Pilz (2020), which evaluates CMMS functionalities and activities. As a result, the sample analyzed presents heterogeneity in the results linked to CMMS functionalities and activities. In short, the registration items, a basic function, were met by all CMMS analyzed. However, advanced functions that are linked to the principles of Industry 4.0, such as interoperability, virtualization, real-time and service orientation, present disparities in results. Because among the nine CMMS evaluated, only three reached the levels proposed in the methodology.

Resumen
Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are already widely utilized as measuring tools in the modern manufacturing industry. Rapidly approaching now is the trend for next-generation CMMs. However, the increases in measuring velocity of CMM applications are limited by dynamic errors that occur in CMMs. In this paper, a systematic approach for modeling the dynamic errors of a touch-trigger probe CMM is developed through theoretical analysis and experimental study. An overall analysis of the dynamic errors of CMMs is conducted, with weak components of the CMM identified with a laser interferometer. The probing process, as conducted with a touch-trigger probe, is analyzed. The dynamic errors are measured, modeled, and predicted using neural networks. The results indicate that, using this mode, it is possible to compensate for the dynamic errors of CMMs.

Resumen
Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a widely recognised software in Facilities Management (FM) that provides numerous advantages to facility managers by enhancing productivity at work. The objective of this research is to provide insight and assess the factors influencing the acceptance of CMMS among facility managers in Malaysia. As a result, an improved comprehension of CMMS technology acceptance can be formed, as well as a better understanding of other FM technology adoption. Multiple factors influence CMMS acceptance, and this study used a quantitative technique to verify the hypothesis, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in conjunction with a Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). In addition, 125 facility managers completed an online survey that was utilised to collect primary data. The quantitative and structural models were analysed using PLS-SEM. Based on the study's findings, perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) have a favourable impact on behavioural intention (BI), which influences actual usage (AU) of CMMS. The research aims to improve awareness of the degree of acceptance of CMMS among facility managers and to contribute to FM organisations' better understanding of future technology adoptions.

Resumen
Since 1962 EC, the Faffa Food Share Company has been producing and supplying flour in Ethiopia both for relief and commercial markets. However, it is incompetent in the market due to a poor maintenance management system. So, the aim of this research is to overcome the poor maintenance management problems by using the CMMS application. The data collected from the company by survey studies, unstructured interviews, and stopwatches and from company records revealed that frequent failure machines, as well as a poor maintenance management system, cause production downtimes, resulting in a 29.19% decrease in production from the planned production. The collected data are analyzed by, tools such as time and motion study, SPSS software and CMMS effectively. The finding from the outcome of the bivariate correlation of CMMS elements and manufacturing performance dimension has an alpha α value of greater than 0.5, which indicates that the relationships between CMMS and manufacturing performance are positive. The findings from company records and stopwatch equipment and manpower (technicians) should be managed to activate machine servicing. Finally, the proposed smart maintenance management system tool, CMMS improves the availability of machines, reduces the frequency of equipment failure, reduces the breakdown time, decreases the cost of maintenance, and then improves the manufacturing performance by 5 percent.

Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are already widely utilized as measuring tools in the modern manufacturing industry. Fast and accurate probing is the current trend for the next generation of CMMs. However, measuring velocity of CMM applications are limited by dynamic errors that occur in CMMs. In this paper, the dynamic errors of coordinate measuring machines are analyzed theoretically and experimentally. The limited stiffness of air bearings were found to cause dynamic errors due to the existence of Abbe’s offsets. The characteristics of the air bearings used on CMMs were modeled by the finite element analysis (FEA). The load capacity and stiffness of the air bearings were computed. Using this model, the dynamic errors of the CMM were reduced through revising the air bearing design. To verify the effectiveness of this approach, the performance of the air bearings was tested both statically and dynamically. The results show that the dynamic errors can be significantly reduced.

Resumen
As the representatives of closely related Chinese medicinal materials (CMMs) originated from Rutaceae family, Aurantii fructus immaturus (AFI), Aurantii fructus (AF), Citri reticulatae pericarpium viride (CRPV), and Citri reticulatae pericarpium (CRP) have better functions in regulating qi and promoting gastrointestinal motility. However, differences in the quality of closely related Citrus CMMs have not yet been revealed until now. Herein, this study focused on the systematic differentiation and in-depth understanding of closely related Citrus CMMs by a strategy integrating chemometrics and network pharmacology. Determined by ultra performance liquid chromatography, the content of nine flavonoids showed obvious fluctuations in the decoction pieces from different species (Citrus aurantium Linnaeus and Citrus reticulate Blanco) with decreasing levels in the samples of ripe fruits. Decoction pieces from the different species and ripening stages were well distinguished by orthogonal projection to latent structure-discriminate analysis (OPLS-DA) and cluster analysis. As a result, four active components including narirutin, naringenin, hesperidin, and 3,5,6,7,8,3′,4′-heptemthoxyflavone were filtered out by variable importance for the projection (VIP) value (VIP > 1.0), which were regarded as chemotaxonomic markers. Furthermore, a components-targets-diseases network was constructed via ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA), and the correlations were predicted between four chemotaxonomic markers, 223 targets, and three diseases including colitis, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer. The obtained results will be of great significance for identifying closely related Citrus CMMs and conduce to improving the resource utilization of CMMs.

Resumen
Three-dimensional Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) are widely used to measure wide-ranging accuracy. Parameters describing CMM use mechanisms must be calibrated by measuring artifacts for the target CMM. Most CMM calibration studies have covered orthogonal rather than non-orthogonal CMMs. We focused on calibration for a nonorthogonal articulated-Arm CMM (ACMM), which has more measurement freedom than an orthogonal CMM, although ACMM measurement error exceeds that of orthogonal CMMs. The kinematic parameters of ACMM are calibrated using spherical center coordinates as the artifact. Part of the measuring volume is calibrated, but the ACMM is not sufficiently calibrated. To calibrate arm deformation in different measurement posture as well as kinematic parameters, we produced a new artifact for which we propose calibration confirmed in experiments.

Resumen
Achieving traceability is crucial for complex measurement techniques, especially for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). For CMMs using tactile probes, traceability can for certain measurements be achieved using model-based uncertainty budgets. Up to now, uncertainty simula-tions could be used applicable only for tactile CMM measurements of regular geometries, but are available as an add-on for different CMMs. This procedure is accepted by guidelines and inter-national standards (VDI/VDE 2617-7, supplement 1 [1] to GUM). Furthermore, empirical ap-proaches to assess the measurement uncertainty by means of calibrated workpieces or prior know-ledge exist or are under development. These approaches can as a matter of principle also be used for CMMs featuring computed tomography (CT). In this paper, the empirical assessment of the mea-surement uncertainty of the upcoming measurement technology CT [2, 3] will be discussed uniting the present approaches and the current knowledge, with the focus being on the applicability of con-cepts for users in industry. For this purpose, the influences on dimensional CT measurements are analyzed and evaluated, taking the measurement data of a current industrial micro CT system as a basis.

Resumen
The non-contact measurement method development is caused by the need for precise measurement and elimination of an operator’s errors. The purpose of the atticle research is to develop a reliable small scale prototype model of non-contact point measuring system. The mathematical model of robotic articulated arm has been developed to analyze the forward kinematics. Then, the prototype model of a robotic arm and laser-sensor mounted technique have been developed to take the measurements. The idea was derived from the coordinate measuring machine working principle, that puts the tip or tool center point in the known position with necessary precision. Most of the production engineers rely on the measurement data obtained from the CMMs. Most of the CMMs used in Uzbekistan are mainly contact based CMMs that have a number of disadvantages, i.e. a liitle inspection time. Also, the ergonomics and redundancy of the CMMs body frame are not acceptable. The surfaces of a vehicle body frame are designed in the free forms to give better aerodynamics and smaller resistance coefficients that result in difficult shapes that is not possible to reach easily with the ordinary CMM. The scientifically-developed robotic arm based on the non-contact CMM helps to cope with this issues

Resumen
This study scrutinized four CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) development projects using the K-Means clustering method to evaluate stages that require improvement by the GrX team. The projects under consideration were named Tim, Lix, Akb, and Mnk. The results indicated that the Tim project leaned more towards efficient CMMS development stages, while the Lix and Akb projects were predominantly in less efficient clusters at the implementation stages. The Mnk project had stages in less efficient clusters located at stages other than implementation processes. This suggests that each project has its unique challenges in achieving efficiency. However, the overarching conclusion is that the GRX team needs to enhance efficiency in the CMMS software development process. Several stages need to be evaluated, particularly the “data analysis and coordination” and “implementation of asset, work order, preventive and spare part modules” stages. Inefficiency occurs when the designing work time has a value lower than twice the workload. The K-Means algorithm was employed in the clustering process because it was believed that the data to be grouped was well-suited for implementation with this algorithm. The variables involved in this study were time and workload. This research provides valuable insights into the efficiency of CMMS development projects and offers a roadmap for future improvements.

Resumen
The purpose of this empirical study is to investigate two things: a) the impact of domestic economic activities falling sharply due to the COVID-19 pandemic on micro and small industries (MSIs) throughout 2020, and (b) the forms of crisis mitigation measures (CMMs) adopted by crisis-affected MSIs. The study evaluates the importance of four components, namely capital, collaboration, cooperation, and digital technology (DT), using data from the Quarterly MSI Survey (QMSIS) 2020, which included 24,000 respondents (owners of MSIs) from around the country. It provides two key findings: (1) The most popular form of CMMs adopted by crisis-affected MSIs was those that produce other goods whose demand remains high during the pandemic, and (2) The most popular form of CMMs adopted by crisis-affected MSIs was those that produce other goods whose demand remains high during the pandemic with a positive regression coefficient according to theory and significant, suggesting that it was an important determinant of MSIs’ resilience. Combined with online sales, this form of CMM has greatly helped many MSIs survive the crisis. The findings have practical implications, including that government stimulus policy during a crisis must complement and correspond with the CMMs adopted by the target MSMEs, therefore, different forms of CMMs in response to different business risks need different policy approaches and stimulus packages. At least in Indonesia, this is the first attempt to empirically examine the impact of the economic crisis due to the COVID-19 on MSIs and explore their CMM by analyzing data from a national survey. In its originality, the findings of this study add to the small business literature, especially studies on the impact of the economic crisis on business.

Resumen
One of the key features of advanced manufacturing technologies is the metrology of geometric quantities. Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) now are widely used to perform relevant measurements. Normally, the use of CMMs in traditional quality control rooms, isolated from the production floor, often proves unsuitable for effective and timely feedback on the manufacturing process. However, CMMs are sensitive to environmental factors such as humidity, suspended dust and oil, vibrations, and especially temperature. For this reason, measuring machines must to be designed with features that make them more resistant to the environmental influences on shop floor operations. The main goal of this work is to enhance accuracy of a CMM working on the shop floor conditions by design improvements and error compensation. A 3-axis CMM will be built with some improved designed features and a software compensation technique will be applied to enhance the machine accuracy.

Abstract: This work presents a pilot study for a prosodic analysis of two different spoken structures in spoken Italian within the theoretical framework of the Language into Act Theory (L-AcT): (i) chains of two or more Bound Comments (COB) that do not form a compositional informative and prosodic unit; (ii) compositional Information Units formed by two or more Multiple Comments (CMM), linked together by a conventional prosodic model that implements specific meta-illocutive structures. This work analyzes COBs and CMMs from the DB-IPIC Italian Minicorpus. Different prosodic cues are taken into account: f0 reset, pauses, final lengthening, intensity lowering and initial rush. The distinctive feature for COBs is a flat trend of f0 before the boundary, with a low number of f0 reset, while CMMs vary between different f0 shapes. Vowel elongation and a no rushing speech rate cooperate in perceiving the prolongation of one COB into another.

Micro-coordinate measuring machines (micro-CMMs) for measuring microcomponents require a probe system with a probe tip diameter of several tens to several hundreds of micrometers. Scale effects work for such a small probe tip, i.e., the probe tip tends to stick on the measurement surface via surface adhesion forces. These surface adhesion forces significantly deteriorate probing resolution or repeatability. Therefore, to realize micro-CMMs, many researchers have proposed microprobe systems that use various surface-sensing principles compared with conventional CMM probes. In this review, the surface-sensing principles of microprobe systems were the focus, and the characteristics were reviewed. First, the proposed microprobe systems were summarized, and the probe performance trends were identified. Then, the individual microprobe system with different sensing principles was described to clarify the performance of each sensing principle. By comprehensively summarizing multiple types of probe systems and discussing their characteristics, this study contributed to identifying the performance limitations of the proposed micro-probe system. Accordingly, the future development of micro-CMMs probes is discussed.

Resumen
Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) with continuous-contact scanning capabilities are experiencing more and more use in a wide variety of discrete-part manufacturing industries. Many users of these CMMs, if asked, will say that their metrology requirements include high density scans at high speeds with high accuracy. These requirements are in conflict, as there will be some point at which the accuracy of the scanned data begins to decrease with an increase in the scanning speed. This paper addresses the effects of scanning speed on the performance of different CMMs using contact sensors. The use of a family of artifacts is proposed in order to evaluate the relative scanning performance as a function of scanning speed and the direction of the scan within the CMM volume. The artifacts that are developed for these tests have a sinusoidal waveform superimposed on a flat surface. This paper describes a series of experiments that utilize these artifacts and assess the ability of these tests to capture how a scanning CMM will perform when measuring actual parts.

Purpose This paper aims to develop predictive methods, based on recurrent neural networks, useful to support facility managers in building maintenance tasks, by collecting information coming from a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Design/methodology/approach This study applies data-driven and text-mining approaches to a CMMS data set comprising more than 14,500 end-users’ requests for corrective maintenance actions, collected over 14 months. Unidirectional long short-term memory (LSTM) and bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM) recurrent neural networks are trained to predict the priority of each maintenance request and the related technical staff assignment. The data set is also used to depict an overview of corrective maintenance needs and related performances and to verify the most relevant elements in the building and how the current facility management (FM) relates to the requests. Findings The study shows that LSTM and Bi-LSTM recurrent neural networks can properly recognize the words contained in the requests, thus correctly and automatically assigning the priority and predicting the technical staff to assign for each end-user’s maintenance request. The obtained global accuracy is very high, reaching 93.3% for priority identification and 96.7% for technical staff assignment. Results also show the main critical building elements for maintenance requests and the related intervention timings. Research limitations/implications This work shows that LSTM and Bi-LSTM recurrent neural networks can automate the assignment process of end-users’ maintenance requests if trained with historical CMMS data. Results are promising; however, the trained LSTM and Bi-LSTM RNN can be applied only to different hospitals adopting similar categorization. Practical implications The data-driven and text-mining approaches can be integrated into the CMMS to support corrective maintenance management by facilities management contractors, i.e. to properly and timely identify the actions to be carried out and the technical staff to assign. Social implications The improvement of the maintenance of the health-care system is a key component of improving health service delivery. This work shows how to reduce health-care service interruptions due to maintenance needs through machine learning methods. Originality/value This study develops original methods and tools easily integrable into IT workflow systems (i.e. CMMS) in the FM field.

Resumen
Dimensional inspections in manufactured workpieces allow assess the quality of the manufacturing process, in this context the quality and development of measurement systems are issues addressed by many researchers. The coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are versatile systems, can measure complex geometries quickly and accurately. Positional errors are parts of volumetric error and affect the correct positioning of probe in CMMs or of the tool in machine tools. Faced with this, the purpose this investigation is show a method to calibrate the positional errors in a bridge-type coordinate measuring machine, this method collects data in dynamic mode and reduces cyclic errors. The calibration of positional errors was performed using laser interferometry in the “on-the-fly” mode and a method to reduce cyclic errors was applied. The highest value of position error occurred in x axis with value positive of 10μm in the position of 220mm, while in the y and z axis the higher absolute values were 2μm and 6μm respectively. From calibration and compensating of positional errors it is possible to reduce the effects of the volumetric errors in machines with axis of linear displacements as the CMMs and machine tools.

Resumen
This paper presents a theoretic and practical approach to confirm the dynamic errors induced by acceleration on CMMs during fast measuring. To simplify, a physical model, a mathematical model of the bridge component and the prismatic joint that move along X axis of a bridge CMM are presented. The research points out that there is sure to be the dynamic errors when there is acceleration. This has been demonstrated by the simulation of the errors on the tip probe by Matlab sofware and the experimental results are obtained. The dynamic errors will decrease the accuracy of CMMs so it is necessary to make out a compensation software to keep up the the accuracy of the measuring results.

Resumen
AbstractThis study documents the setup and roll-out of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in Burundi’s resource constrained health care system between 1/04/2017 and 31/03/2020. First, in 2017 a biomedical assets ontology was created, tailored to the local health system and progressively mapped on international GMDN (Global Medical Devices Nomenclature) and ICMD (International Classification and Nomenclature of Medical Devices) classifications. This ontology was the cornerstone of a web-based CMMS, deployed in the Kirundo and Muramvya provinces (6 health districts, 4 hospitals and 73 health centers).During the study period, the total number of biomedical maintenance interventions increased from 4 to 350 per month, average corrective maintenance delays were reduced from 106 to 26 days and the proportion of functional medical assets grew from 88 to 91%.This study proves that a sustainable implementation of a CMMS is feasible and highly useful in low resource settings, if (i) the implementation is done in a conducive technical environment with correct workshops and maintenance equipment, (ii) the active cooperation of the administrative authorities is ensured, (iii) sufficient training efforts are made, (iv) necessary hardware and internet connectivity is available and (v) adequate local technical support can be provided.

Resumen
ABSTRACT In both dogs and cats, the most common cranial mediastinal masses (CMMs) are lymphoma and thymic epithelial tumors (TETs). Pretreatment differentiation of these tumors using fine needle aspiration or biopsy is essential because lymphomas are treated medically, whereas TETs are treated surgically. The purpose of this retrospective study was to determine whether thoracic radiographic findings can be used to aid clinicians in preliminarily differentiating the two tumor types before cytology or histopathology results become available. Medical records, available cytologic or histologic samples, and thoracic radiographs were evaluated for 62 dogs and 28 cats. Seventeen radiographic criteria were assessed by two examiners, and regression modeling was performed to test for significant predictors of tumor type. In dogs, CMMs with at least two well-defined radiographic margins on a lateral view and CMMs causing a rightward shift of the cardiac silhouette on a ventrodorsal or dorsoventral view were significantly more likely to be TETs than lymphomas (P < .001 and P < .01, respectively). No significant predictive variables were identified in cats. Radiographic findings do not eliminate the need for invasive sampling, but in dogs, they may guide the clinician in providing preliminary information to owners regarding the staging and therapeutic measures that may eventually be recommended.

Resumen
The effect of nisin, added in the form of Nisaplin, on the thermal resistance of bacterial spores and the effects of medium composition, exposure time, and pH on nisin enhancement of heat sensitivity were evaluated. Nisin apparently required specific nutrients to sensitize spores to heat. For example, D130°C values of approximately 10 s were observed in sodium phosphate buffer with and without 6% sucrose with no significant (P ≥ 0.05) differences detected as a result of increased nisin concentration. In a nutrient-rich chocolate milk model system (CMMS), increasing either the time of exposure to nisin (5, 15, or 24 h) before heating or nisin concentration (0, 2,000, or 4,000 IU/ml) increased the sensitivity of Bacillus stearothermophilus spores to heat. In the CMMS with 10 to 12% fat cocoa powder, increasing nisin concentration (at 5 h of exposure) significantly (P ≤ 0.05) reduced D130°C values; D130°C values were 21.7, 17.2, and 17.8 s, respectively, for the 0-, 2,000-, and 4,000-IU/ml nisin treatments. Fifteen and 24 h of exposure further reduced D130°C values in the nisin-containing treatments compared to the control (0 IU of nisin per ml). A lower-fat CMMS (0 to 1% fat cocoa powder) had lower D130°C values (19.3, 15.8, and 14.7 s for the 0-, 2,000-, and 4,000-IU/ml nisin treatments, respectively). Nisin activity was enhanced by lowering pH in the CMMS (10 to 12% fat cocoa powder), with reductions in D130°C values across all pH values (ranging from 18.0% at pH 6.4 to 41.9% at pH 5.0). zD values were 9.6, 9.0, and 8.4°C for the 0-, 2,000-, and 4,000-IU/ml nisin treatments, respectively. Spores of B. licheniformis yielded results similar to those obtained with B. stearothermophilus. For example, decreasing CMMS (10 to 12% fat cocoa powder) pH values from 6.4 to 5.0 produced D100°C values of 3.3, 2.8, and 2.8 min (pH 6.4) and 1.0, 0.8, and 0.8 min (pH 5.0) for the 0-, 2,000-, and 4,000-IU/ml nisin treatments. This study clearly verified that the addition of Nisaplin to dairy-based beverages, such as a chocolate milk drink, or other foods intended to be heated reduces the thermal resistance of selected bacterial spores. Increased spore sensitivity to heat may provide food processors with an opportunity to reduce their thermal processes and expenses while maintaining product quality, functionality, and shelf stability.

Resumen
Inspection on coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) is based on software support for various classes of metrological tasks, i.e. tolerances. Today, the design of a uniform inspection plan for a measuring part presents a rather complex issue due to the following: (i) metrological complexity of a measuring part; (ii) skills and knowledge of a designer / inspection planner; and (iii) software for CAI model, considered as a part of an integrated CAD-CAPP-CAM-CAI system. This issue could be addressed by the usage of expert systems that generate a conceptual inspection plan for a measuring part, based on which the inspection plan for a selected CMM could be automatically developed. This paper presents the development of a model of an automatic inspection planning system for CMMs, and, in particular, the developed knowledge base model.

Resumen
Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are the most common measuring systems used for assessing the compliance of manufactured components with their geometrical specifications. Optical CMMs are currently gaining popularity as they enable fast and contactless measurement with accuracy almost as high as in case of tactile measurement. During the performing of measurement, the points at which the measurement is conducted are usually not exactly at the intended location, but due to different impacts (error sources), they are in the area surrounding this location. This paper presents a method for modelling the reproduction of point coordinates as probability ellipses geometrically limiting the area in which the actual measurement points may lie. Different mathematical algorithms for the description of these ellipses were examined and a discussion on the selection of the best method is presented in this paper.

Resumen
Building change detection using remote sensing images is essential for various applications such as urban management and marketing planning. However, most change detection approaches can only detect the intensity or type of change. The aim of this study is to dig for more change information from time-series synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, such as the change frequency and the change moments. This paper proposes a novel multitemporal building change detection framework that can generate change frequency map (CFM) and change moment maps (CMMs) from multitemporal SAR images. We first give definitions of CFM and CMMs. Then we generate change feature using four proposed generators. After that, a new cosegmentation method combining raw images and change feature is proposed to divide time-series images into changed and unchanged areas separately. Secondly, the proposed cosegmentation and the morphological building index (MBI) are combined to extract changed building objects. Then, the logical conjunction between the cosegmentation results and the binarized MBI is performed to recognize every moment of change. In the post-processing step, we use fragment removal to increase accuracy. Finally, we propose a novel accuracy assessment index for CFM. We call this index average change difference (ACD). Compared to the traditional multitemporal change detection methods, our method outperforms other approaches in terms of both qualitative results and quantitative indices of ACD using two TerraSAR-X datasets. The experiments show that the proposed method is effective in generating CFM and CMMs.

Resumen
The ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ISO-GPS (geometrical product specifications) standards define tolerances that can be added to components to achieve the necessary functionality and performance. The zone that each feature must lie within is defined in each tolerance. Measurement processes, including planning, programming, data collection (with contact or without contact), and data processing, check the compliance of the part with these specifications (tolerances). Over the last two decades, many works have been realized by the metrology community to investigate the accuracy, the measuring methods, and, specifically, the measurement errors of fixed and portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). A review of the literature showed the progression of CMMs in terms of accuracy and repeatability. However, discrepancies were observed between measurements using different CMMs or operators. This paper proposed a GD&T-based benchmark for the evaluation of the performance of different CMM operators in computer-aided inspection (CAI), considering different criteria related to the dimensional and geometrical features. An artifact was designed using basic geometries (cylinder and plane) and free-form surfaces. The results obtained from the interlaboratory comparison study showed significant performance variability for complex GD&T, such as in the composite profile and localization. This, in turn, emphasized the importance of GD&T training and certification in order to ensure a uniform understanding among different operators, combined with a fully automated inspection code generator for GD&T purposes.
