Resumen
A series of Development and Operations (DevOps) in the process of making the Narotama University Management Information System have not been implemented properly by previous developers. There are improvements or additional features of the Management Information System that are in accordance with the functionality and the increasing development needs that will be used by the academic community, so that the Management Information System developer has a little difficulty in integrating documents and distributing applications with different packages to the Production Server. In this study, a new system design is proposed by applying the practice of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery as a document integration process and can simplify the application distribution process, as well as implementing the Docker Container Platform as an application container with different packages that can be run on production server together. The results of implementing the practice of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and the implementation of the Docker Container Platform are able to help integrate documents between developers and be able to release fixes and add features packaged in different containers automatically and periodically without long delays. which only takes an average of 17.9 seconds in the process of sending the application to the Production Server.

Resumen
Continuous Integration (CI) is the technique of integrating small changes made to the code more often rather than waiting till the end of the development cycle for integration. The software practice wherein the software deployment can be done anytime to the market is called Continuous Delivery (CD). With continuous integration and continuous delivery, the problem of taking time to find and resolve the bug can be reduced to a large extent. As the time to find the bugs and fix them gets reduced, many releases adhering to the given timeline can be made by an organization. Various software tools have been developed for the continuous integration process which includes Jenkins, Bitbucket, TeamCity. In this paper, a review on the standard practices, approaches, challenges faced while using the continuous integration/delivery in the software development, methods of solving them, and using Jenkins for the implantation of continuous integration/delivery is done.

Resumen
This paper describes the current architecture of Continuous Integration (CI) service developed at Fermilab, encountered successes and difficulties, as well as future development plans. The current experiment code has hundreds of contributors that provide new features, bug fixes, and other improvements. Version control systems help developers to collaborate in contributing software for their experiments, while the CI system helps developers keep their code healthy. The Fermilab CI service allows experiments and projects to test and validate their offline production and analysis code on the supported platforms. It is built on top of Jenkins, designed to be set up from a configuration file that provides implementation for each phase of the CI workflow, and able to validate experiment code through grid jobs. This CI service provides a dashboard for easy access to logs and statistical graphs. Since the CI service has been adopted by Fermilab experiments/projects, it proved to be very useful to intercept issues in their code early on and get them fixed before running it in production. Currently the CI service is in use by the ArgoNeuT, DUNE, g-2, LArIAT, MINERvA, mu2e, NOvA, SBND and uBooNE experiments and by the following projects: ART and LArSoft software suites, GENIE, and Glidein-WMS. The CI service is under active development and planning to support code profiling.

Resumen
Concurrent Engineering has been accepted as an integrated development concept offering significant benefits regarding to cost and development time. Despite of this agreement and the fact that shortened product lifecycles increase the necessity for stronger interaction between all stakeholders involved in product development, benefits are not achieved to the predicted extend. While reasons are manifold, a lack in structured and efficient communication between different departments can be identified as a key obstacle. Recent research activities had addressed requirements management processes outside the limited domain of software and product development and allowed for an integration of production requirements. This paper presents an approach which allows for a continuous requirements process within the production departments. Thus ensuring the integration of up-to-date requirements in all development activities.

Resumen
Regression testing is a very important activity in continuous integration development environments. Software engineers frequently integrate new or changed code that involves in a new regression testing. Furthermore, regression testing in continuous integration development environments is together with tight time constraints. It is also impossible to re-run all the test cases in regression testing. Test case prioritization and selection technique are often used to render continuous integration processes more cost-effective. According to multi objective optimization, we present a test case prioritization and selection technique, TCPSCI, to satisfy time constraints and achieve testing goals in continuous integration development environments. Based on historical failure data, testing coverage code size and testing execution time, we order and select test cases. The test cases of the maximize code coverage, the shorter execution time and revealing the latest faults have the higher priority in the same change request. The case study results show that using TCPSCI has a higher cost-effectiveness comparing to the manually prioritization.

Resumen
Software security is a component of software development that should be integrated throughout its entire development lifecycle, and not simply as an afterthought. If security vulnerabilities are caught early in development, they can be fixed before the software is released in production environments. Furthermore, finding a software vulnerability early in development will warn the programmer and lessen the likelihood of this type of programming error being repeated in other parts of the software project. Using Continuous Integration (CI) for checking for security vulnerabilities every time new code is committed to a repository can alert developers of security flaws almost immediately after they are introduced. Finally, continuous integration tests for security give software developers the option of making the test results public so that users or potential users are given assurance that the software is well tested for security flaws. While there already exists general-purpose continuous integration tools such as Jenkins-CI and GitLab-CI, our tool is primarily focused on integrating third party security testing programs and generating reports on classes of vulnerabilities found in a software project. Our tool performs all tests in a snapshot (stateless) virtual machine to be able to have reproducible tests in an environment similar to the deployment environment. This paper introduces the design and implementation of a tool for security-focused continuous integration. The test cases used demonstrate the ability of the tool to effectively uncover security vulnerabilities even in open source software products such as ImageMagick and a smart grid application, Emoncms.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) emphasizes the rapid release of small, incremental changes and the use of automation throughout the development process. CI/CD technique is central to DevOps and key to its success. Consumers expect to have continuous interaction with DevOps team so that they can provide their continuous feedback. DevOps is blending of two terms: development and operations which aims to provide conjoin approach to industry’s software development and operation team job in software development lifecycle. Continuous practices, i.e., continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, are the software development industry practices that enable organizations to frequently and reliably release new features and products. Shows the comparison on deployments. With the increasing interest in literature on continuous practices, it is important to systematically review and synthesize the approaches, tools, challenges, and practices reported for adopting and implementing continuous practices.

Resumen
The physics software stack of LHCb is based on Gaudi and is comprised of about 20 interdependent projects, managed across multiple GitLab repositories. At present, the continuous integration (CI) system used for regular building and testing of this software is implemented using Jenkins and runs on a cluster of about 300 cores. LHCb CI pipelines are python-based and relatively modern with some degree of modularity, i.e. the separation of test jobs from build jobs. However, these still suffer from obsoleted design choices that prevent improvements to scalability and reporting. In particular, the resource use and speed have not been thoroughly optimized due to the predominant use of the system for nightly builds, where a feedback time of 8 hours is acceptable. We describe recent work on speeding up pipelines by aggressively splitting and parallelizing checkout, build and test jobs and caching their artifacts. The current state of automatic code quality integration, such as coverage reports, is shown. This paper presents how feedback time from change (merge request) submission to build and test reports is reduced from “next day” to a few hours by dedicated on-demand pipelines. Custom GitLab integration allows easy triggering of pipelines, including linked changes to multiple projects, and provides immediate feedback as soon as ready. Reporting includes a comparison to tests on a unique stable reference build, dynamically chosen for every set of changes under testing. This work enables isolated testing of changes that integrates well into the development workflow, leaving nightly testing primarily for integration tests.

Resumen
Research has indicated that small and medium sized firms (SMEs) play an important role in the growth of the economy. However, in order to be able to compete at an international level, most SMEs are bound to work in alliances in order to gather enough knowledge and resources for product and technology development or to be able to penetrate a larger market. Alliances can be formed with different types of actors (i.e., suppliers, customers, agents, universities, consultancies); in the alliance, information and knowledge are gathered and created. Information is defined as "knowledge that can be transmitted without loss of integrity," which includes facts, axiomatic propositions, and symbols. This knowledge can be categorized as domain-specific, procedural, or general. In the present study, a case approach is used to investigate how different types of information and knowledge generated through distributed product development are integrated into the firm, what methods are used, and some conclusions on what methods are more successful for each type of information or knowledge. Results indicate a very high representation of formal information sharing (document exchange) even if there is a high degree of agreement among the respondents that personal meetings and continuous information sharing would be better if they had a system for this. Therefore, the conclusions should lead to systems that address the above problems.

Resumen
The potential for integrating principles of lean management and sustainability initiatives has been recognized in earlier research. The present study argues for the need to focus on how this should be implemented and to acknowledge the criticality of developing individuals’ competencies to support such integration. The purpose of this paper is to explore the integration of lean and energy efficiency practices and provide practical examples of such integration. This study is explorative in nature and based on a qualitative research approach. Primary evidence was collected through an interview study of 19 participants in a lean energy course, and through a participant observation at a company workshop following up the program results. Secondary evidence was collected on the development and evaluation of this course. By operationalizing sustainability through energy efficiency and combining with lean principles, organizations can exploit continuous improvement efforts for sustainable development. This paper focuses on professional education as a component for integrating improvement initiatives and sustainable development. Whilst professional education enables individual learning, organization-wide efforts are needed to follow up on the educational program and support a scaling-up of lean energy. The scaling-up means that the organization itself encourages the use of principles and tools to identify and remove energy waste and support a move from local practices to shared experience.

This study developed a new hybrid power system which consisted of two continuous variable transmissions (CVT). By matching between the engine, motor, generator, and dual CVT system, this integrated power system can take advantages of components. The hybrid vehicle can be driven by the internal combustion engine (ICE) or electric motor (M) alone, or by these two power sources together when vehicle is driven in hard acceleration or high load. The integrated hybrid system could provide better fuel economy. The energy management of this integrated system controls the power systems based on rule-based control strategy to achieve better fuel economy. When the vehicle driving power demand is low, the ICE which is operating in the low efficiency region. The ICE is shut down, and the vehicle is driven by motor only. When the vehicle driving power demand is high, ICE would operate in the high efficiency region. The vehicle could be driven by ICE. This strategy would operate ICE only in optimal efficiency region to improve the fuel economy. In this research, the vehicle simulation model was built in Matlab/Simulink environment. The model simulation was according with the vehicle dynamics test, and the analysis and discussion of the simulation results was present.

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is an effective methodology that aims to maximize shareholder value by improving quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction and costs. Continuous integration is the software engineering practice of rapid and automated development and testing. A case study presented in this paper demonstrates how LSS tools help software R&D teams to improve product quality and reduce development cost. The define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) methodology is applied to develop an action plan to achieve continuous integration at an anonymous software R&D organization's LSS Green Belt project. The LSS implementation has had a significant impact on the financial performance of the organization. It is showed that the package continuous integration (PCI) success ratio (3 months average) increased from 27% to 74%, meanwhile an operational saving of approximately 56.87K Euro was reported from this project. Finally, some key success factors that are critical to the implementation of an effective Green Belt program are examined, and managerial implications are provided.

Resumen
This paper presents the development of microcontroller based potentiometric transduction circuit for a continuous fluid level sensor. The purpose system involved the integration between hardware and software subsystem. For hardware subsystem, the design of potentiometric circuit was tested with theoretical computation, simulation on Proteus VSM software and breadboard circuit. This finding was then used to develop interface for the analog-to-digital converter. For software subsystem, the water level indicator system has been developed using ATMEGA2560 by converting the output from potentiometric circuit into water level with a look-up table. It computes the digital data conversion into desired reading and displays data through the second hardware subsystem which is liquid crystal display. A potentiometric indicator for a continuous fluid level sensor to detect level of water ponding on the flat roof was developed. It was comprised of a potentiometric transduction stage and follower stage. From the experiment, it was shown that the potentiometric circuit designed was able to report changes in the water in a different level. The integration of the continuous fluid level sensor with the potentiometric indicator system will have a significant impact on the practice of sensor integration.

Resumen
ABSTRACTDue to a significant increase in the complexity of the care demands of older people having multiple care needs, the necessity for integrated care is increasingly acknowledged. Proposing a qualitative approach based on a secondary literature analysis and an empirical survey, this paper explores the integration policy of health and social care for older people having complex needs in two European countries – France and Sweden – where various policy measures aiming at developing and delivering integrated care can be identified: at the national level, through the supportive measures of organisational, institutional and/or professional integration from central government, and at the local level, with the implementation of concrete integrative initiatives. Using a comparative qualitative approach, the authors investigate both of these levels, as well as the interplay between them. They show the importance of this double – local and national – approach of the issue of integration and highlight the continuous negotiation process which underlies the integration activities. Local integration initiatives are in fact constantly reshaped by top-down and bottom-up dynamics which appear to be strongly interconnected.

Resumen
The ATLAS experiment’s software production and distribution on the grid benefits from a semi-automated infrastructure that provides up-to-date information about software usability and availability through the CVMFS distribution service for all relevant systems. The software development process uses a Continuous Integration pipeline involving testing, validation, packaging and installation steps. For opportunistic sites that can not access CVMFS, containerized releases are needed. These standalone containers are currently created manually to support Monte-Carlo data production at such sites. In this paper we will describe an automated procedure for the containerization of ATLAS software releases in the existing software development infrastructure, its motivation, integration and testing in the distributed computing system.

Resumen
The last few decades have seen a significant growth of economists’ interest in studying institutions. They are generally preoccupied with explaining institutions using instruments that are specific for an economist, and especially with discerning the significance of institutions for both economic development and development economics. Therefore, the integration of institutions into economic theory is an essential step in our continuous attempt to refine and improve scientific explanations. The neoclassical theory of economic growth only identifies the conditions needed for material production growth, such as capital accumulation and technical progress. In order to explain ‘why’ people save, invest, learn and seek useful knowledge, special attention must also be paid to institutional and value systems.

Based on systems engineering theory, complex systems development process is discussed. The integrated model is built, in which the integration methods are introduced. The product development process is not only a continuously evolutional process, but also an improvement process of product model. A conceptual framework for integrated development is proposed. Furthermore, building a full context model to cover life cycle is to leverage the deployment of system engineering process. The result in this paper has a wider implication upon industrial integrated development for complex systems.

Resumen
Organ-on-Chip technology is commonly used as a tool to replace animal testing in drug development. Cells or tissues are cultured on a microchip to replicate organ-level functions, where measurements of the electrical activity can be taken to understand how the cell populations react to different drugs. Microfluidic structures are integrated in these devices to replicate more closely an in vivo microenvironment. Research has provided proof of principle that more accurate replications of the microenvironment result in better micro-physiological behaviour, which in turn results in a higher predictive power. This work shows a transition from a no-flow (static) multi-electrode array (MEA) to a continuous-flow (dynamic) MEA, assuring a continuous and homogeneous transfer of an electrolyte solution across the measurement chamber. The process through which the microfluidic system was designed, simulated, and fabricated is described, and electrical characterisation of the whole structure under static solution and a continuous flow rate of 80 µL/min was performed. The latter reveals minimal background disturbance, with a background noise below 30 µVpp for all flow rates and areas. This microfluidic MEA, therefore, opens new avenues for more accurate and long-term recordings in Organ-on-Chip systems.

Resumen
One of the main ideas of agile development is to perform continuous integration, in order to detect and resolve conflicts among several modular units of a system as soon as possible. Whereas this feature is well catered for at the level of programming source code, the support available in formal specification environments is still rather unsatisfactory: it is possible to analyze the composition of several modular units automatically, but no assistance is given to help modify them in case of problems. Instead, the stakeholders who build the specifications are forced to attempt manual changes until reaching the desired functionality, in a process that is far from being intuitive. In response to that, this paper presents procedures and algorithms that automate the whole process of doing integration analyses and generating revisions to solve the diagnosed problems. These mechanisms serve to complete an agile specification environment presented in a previous paper, which was designed around the principle of facilitating the creative efforts of the stakeholders.

Resumen
AbstractTo tackle malnutrition more effectively, Sub-Saharan African governments have developed overarching, integrative policy strategies over the past decade. Despite their popularity, little is known about their follow-up and ultimately their success (or failure). Consequently, tracking the progress of such political commitment has gained global importance. Various studies provide insights into changes in nutrition-related policies. Nevertheless, it is generally acknowledged that we have limited understanding of how nutrition concerns are explicitly addressed in policies of different ministries. This study uses a novel policy integration perspective to investigate the extent to which eight ministries in Uganda integrated nutrition concerns across their policy outputs between 2001 and 2017. The approach used assumes nutrition policy integration is a dynamic process occurring in different policy dimensions. We performed a qualitative content analysis to assess 103 policy outputs for changes in subsystems involved, policy goals, and instruments used. Overall, we found a shift towards increased integrated government action on nutrition over time. The 2011–2015 analysis period was a critical juncture where increased integration of nutrition was observed in all policy integration dimensions across all ministries. However, considerable variations in actor networks, goals, and instruments exist across sectors and over time. The sustainability of nutrition integration efforts remains contentious, because of which continuous monitoring will be essential.

Resumen
The relevance of this work is due to the fact that in the context of globalization of education and integration processes in educational systems, the requirements to teachers' professionalism and their personal traits increase. The main resource for improving the quality of education is teachers motivated for continuous professional development. Value and meaning-wise attitude to teaching profession defines self-efficacy as confidence in their professional and pedagogical actions. The processes of purposeful formation and development of self-efficacy in the integrative environment are the most important instruments to improve teacher's professionalism. In this regard, this paper reveals the essence, content and structural components of self-efficacy, and identifies the mechanisms of its development in the modern integrative environment in terms of meaning pedagogy. The leading approach to the study is the integrative-systematic approach. It considers the development of self-efficacy on the basis of meaning pedagogy in the conditions of integration of educational environments. The pilot study (self-efficacy testing) engaged 122 university teachers under the age of 35 working as a teacher from 3 to 5 years. The paper defines the essence of the teacher's self-efficacy and its relationship with meaning pedagogy. The study identified the following structural components of teacher's self-efficacy in the modern integrative environment: understanding the professional and pedagogical goal, meaning and results of professional and pedagogical activity, control loci "I" and "professional and pedagogical activity", and meaningfulness of professional and pedagogical activity as a generalized component of self-efficacy. The results of the pilot study showed the tutoring support for the development of vocational teachers' self-efficacy is necessary. The paper presents the technology of developing teacher's self-efficacy in integrative environment. This technology is based on the tracing individual development as the routes to the future, points of bifurcation. One of the possible directions is selected while passing these points. The research results define new vectors of self-efficacy development based on life-purpose guidelines, significantly expand the theoretical understanding of development and self-development of teachers in the modern integrative educational macro-environment. The paper is interesting for organizing the tutoring support for the development of vocational teachers' self-efficacy. It can also be used in the system of continuous education.

Abstract: DevOps aims to shorten project schedules, boost productivity, and manage quick development-deployment cycles without compromising business or quality. It necessitates good sprint management. Continuous Testing detects integration issues considerably earlier in the development process. It reduces the cost of defect resolution and frees up the tester's time for exploratory testing and value-added activities. Continuous testing allows for more frequent, shorter, and more efficient releases. It ties people, technology, and processes together. Continuous Planning, particularly effort estimation, is closely linked to Continuous Testing. This paper examines the state of the art in DevOps parametric estimate in continuous planning, as well as the difficulties and best practises. Keywords: Project, Testing, Continuous, Planning

Resumen
The article discusses some implications of the Brexit referendum for institutional and political development of the European Union and for relations between the EU and the UK. The most obvious consequence of the referendum is the collapse of ideology of continuous and progressing development of integration. Instead of endless, irreversible, a priori beneficial for everyone integration process, the European Union has become an organization that does not have a Messianic goal and obliged to prove its usefulness in everyday life. EU systemic crisis will inevitably lead to a profound transformation of its institutional and political structure. After the British referendum, only two options are possible. First of all, partial deconstruction of the European Union. The idea that European integration has gone too far lies in the basis of this strategy. According to this logic, the single market is the main EU achievement. Return to the basics - this is a pragmatic approach to integration, which should replace attempts to fix rotten projects (like Euro) or to achieve the unattainable (political Union). This option is hardly probable. Second option is transformation of the EU into the "core and periphery" system having the basis flexible integration. Over the past 20 years, flexibility transformed from temporary phenomenon into a permanent and formalized mechanism; its elements exist in many EU politics. Brexit would be able to accelerate significantly the formation of a cohesive core within the Eu. The core will not be homogeneous; it will include as governing structures: the German-French axis and a group of EU founding countries.

The purpose of this scientific article is is to obtain new knowledge on the content peculiarities and development trends of the principle of solidarity in the post-industrial society. Solidarity is viewed as a basic principle for the establishment of the consolidation concept in internal and external relationships of the modern post-industrial society. Solidarity in internal affairs is assessed within the “man — society — state” interrelation chain. In external relationships, this principle forms the basis of integration international links. The fact that the principle of solidarity acquires a compound integrative nature and is subject to continuous differentiation in the post-industrial society is substantiated. It is emphasized that the meaning of the principle of solidarity as a public relationship harmonization instrument is steadily growing.

This paper reviews the contributions of Rex Bergstrom to the development of continuous time dynamic disequilibrium macroeconomic modeling since the early 1960s. The models provide an elegant integration of economic theory with analysis of steady state and stability properties. The subsequent contributions of his Ph.D. students, spawned by Bergstrom’s work over the years, is also reviewed. It was Bergstrom’s early pioneering vision 40 years ago of formulating and estimating continuous time models that underlies much of the research in that area of econometrics and finance today.

Resumen
This paper defines Continuous Productive Urban Landscape (CPUL) as a strategy for the coherent integration of urban agriculture into urban space planning. The case is made for considering urban agriculture as an essential element of sustainable infrastructure. Recent and historic arguments are used to support the qualitative and quantifiable advantages of introducing urban agriculture into contemporary open urban space design. The body of the paper focuses on design issues related to the placing and perception of CPUL and urban agriculture. It draws on primary research undertaken in Cuba, considering Cuba as a laboratory for design research into urban agriculture. Design studies by the authors are used to demonstrate the viability and physical manifestation of urban agriculture within a Continuous Productive Urban Landscape. The paper proposes that, while an environmental and design case can be made for the integration of urban agriculture, planners and designers need to explore the public perception of productive landscape if its full potential is to be realized. The idea that urban agriculture can be read as “ornament” is discussed with reference to the writing of British artist Tom Phillips. Contemporary cultural/artistic practice is referred to as a means for exploring and communicating ideas related to productive urban landscapes. The paper concludes with new research findings related to the public perception of open urban space based on the Havana CPUL design research project “Finding Parque Lenin”.

Resumen
At present, China's large span continuous rigid frame bridge (CRFB) has made rapid development, and has been applied in the railway bridges. This paper based on finite element analysis software ANSYS, using the simplified algorithm, establish a line - bridge - pier integration model for calculation of continuous welded rail (CWR) on bridge, the continuous rigid bridge and continuous rigid frame bridge (CGB) in two different conditions were compared and analyzed. The calculation results show that: the rail expansion force, bending force, braking force, rail broken gap of CRFB are smaller than that of the CGB of same beam span, in CWR, CRFB has obvious advantages, it should be popularized.; equivalent temperature span of CRFB are smaller than that of the CGB of same beam span, so the CRFB is less affected by the temperature; because of the pier and girder consolidation of CRFB, favorable to CWR, but due to the bending effect of bridge piers can lead to beam produces larger vertical deformation, thus affecting the track smoothness, which must be noticed in design.

Resumen
Solar tracking systems enable increased efficiency of a photovoltaic system through a continuous adjustment of its position with respect to the sun, thus increasing the generation of electrical energy. The integration of photovoltaic solar tracking systems in buildings and houses enables the energy needs of users in a broader way to be covered. This integration is facilitated through the existence of technologies such as access to the Internet through Wi-Fi, which allows developing systems to be encompassed within the domain of the “Internet of Things” (IoT). In this study, a first-of-its-kind “open-loop” solar tracker was designed and developed, which executes the tracking algorithm in the Firebase web service and allows the exchange of data with said service through a NodeMCU development board, which has an integrated Wi-Fi module. After an experimental campaign in Aguascalientes, central Mexico, gains in terms of collected energy on average were measured at 29.9% in May compared to an optimally tilted fixed photovoltaic system. This study opens the possibility of integrating power generation systems into the IoT domain, which, among other things, allows for constant monitoring of the behavior of the system.

Resumen
AbstractThe context of product development can be understood as transformation of needs into technical solutions under the continuous handling of uncertainties. These result particularly in early development phases from a lack of technical knowledge. In order to counter the uncertainties, companies are increasingly implementing agile approaches, which mostly originate in the area of software development. Although these are suitable for flexible handling of project management activities and lead to an increased reactivity of the development team, they do not address the early and continuous integration of technical knowledge into the process. With the aim of optimizing mechatronic systems with regard to their lightweight design potentials, in this article a method is developed that supports agile development with the goal of lightweight design. Therefore, it combines a method for functional modelling with a function-based lightweight design method. The targeted integration of technical knowledge has shown that lightweight design potentials can be optimized iteratively in agile approaches. As an initial validation, the applicability of the method was demonstrated in a development project.
