Abstract The therapeutic success of imatinib mesylate (IM) in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is impaired by persistence of malignant stem cells. Mechanisms contributing to incomplete elimination of CML stem cells include resistance to proapoptotic effects of IM, persistent signaling through growth stimulating pathways and Abl kinase mutations resulting in IM resistance. We investigated whether nilotinib, a more potent Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase (TK) inhibitor than IM, could more effectively target CML progenitors. The aim of this study was to evaluate how the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) article (art.) 22, has been operationalized in the Ugandan Legislation, and implemented in the local context of Nakivale Refugee Settlement. The researcher tried to comprehend specifically how the refugee children themselves perceive the implementation of CRC art.22 through their own voice. Hence, an important approach when presenting the empiric data was to provide the perspective of the child, not just to have a child perspective (i.e. an adult perspective on children's experiences). Resumen
This chapter focuses on refugee children. International law affords all refugee children special protection, under both the Refugee Convention and, of particular significance, the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The CRC recognizes children as independent rights-bearers, entitled to a comprehensive set of civil, political, social, economic, and cultural rights that are designed to cater for their specific needs. The rights set out under the CRC apply to all children, wherever they find themselves, without discrimination. Evidently there is a significant protection gap. This chapter traces the development of international law relating to refugees and to children, before addressing six key issues: first, the notion of childhood and the difficulties in proving age; secondly, the application of the refugee definition to children; thirdly, the extent to which the CRC is capable of affording independent and more appropriate forms of protection status for children; fourthly, a refugee child's entitlement to appropriate protection and humanitarian assistance (article 22 of the CRC); fifthly, the availability of durable solutions; and finally, family reunification.

Resumen
The repayment and remission of customs duty and appeals against decisions of customs authorities are dealt with in different chapters of the UCC just as they were in the CCC. Repayment and remission is in the UCC Title III (‘Customs Debt and Guarantees’), Chapter 3, section 3 (‘Repayment and Remission’), which includes sections 116 to 123. The sections on decisions and appeals are in Title I (‘General Provisions’), Chapter 2 (‘Rights and Obligations of Persons with regard to the Customs Legislation’), section 3 (Articles 22 to 37) and section 6 (Articles 43 to 45). In the CCC, the relevant provisions were placed more closely together in Title VII, Chapter 5 and Title VIII. The reorganization of the UCC is intended to reflect the fact that the debt arises early in the commercial process. As repayment and remission is often a matter on which decisions and appeals are made, the provisions of the UCC relating to them are, very largely, dealt with together in this chapter.

Resumen
The gray wolf optimizer (GWO) is a new population-based optimizer that is inspired by the hunting procedure and leadership hierarchy in gray wolves. In this chapter, a new enhanced gray wolf optimizer (EGWO) is proposed for tackling several real-world optimization problems. In the EGWO algorithm, a new chaotic operation is embedded in GWO which helps search agents to chaotically move toward a randomly selected wolf. By this operator, the EGWO algorithm is capable of switching between chaotic and random exploration. In order to substantiate the efficiency of EGWO, 22 test cases from IEEE CEC 2011 on real-world problems are chosen. The performance of EGWO is compared with six standard optimizers. A statistical test, known as Wilcoxon rank-sum, is also conducted to prove the significance of the explored results. Moreover, the obtained results compared with those of six advanced algorithms from CEC 2011. The evaluations reveal that the proposed EGWO can obtain superior results compared to the well-known algorithms and its results are better than some advanced variants of optimizers.

Resumen
The importance of factor Xa in the initiation and propagation of coagulation, as well as its pluripotential cellular properties, has been discussed previously. Considered collectively, the effects exhibited by this particular protease make it an attractive target for pharmacologic inhibition. Factor Xa inhibition can be classified and subcategorized as follows: indirect (antithrombin [AT]-dependent), nonselective (e.g., unfractionated heparin); indirect, semi-selective (e.g., low-molecular-weight heparin); indirect, selective (e.g., fondaparinux); and direct, selective (e.g., DX-9065a [in early stage of development]). Oral factor Xa inhibitors are in phase II testing. Fondaparinux (Arixtra) is a synthetic pentasaccharide that requires AT for selective fXa binding (Petitou et al., 1991). Unlike heparin compounds, fondaparinux does not inhibit thrombin directly nor does it interact with platelets (or platelet-derived proteins). After subcutaneous administration in healthy volunteers, fondaparinux was nearly 100% bioavailable, and absorption was rapid (Cmax within 2 hours) (Donat et al., 2002). Clearance is through renal mechanisms with a terminal halflife of 17 ± 3 hours (slightly longer in elderly volunteers). Overall, drug clearance is 25% lower in patients with mild renal impairment (creatinine clearance [CrCl] 50–80 mL/min), approximately 40% lower in patients with moderate renal impairment (CrCl 30–50 mL/min), and 55% lower in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min). OASIS-5, the largest trial performed to date in non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndromes (ACS), randomized 20,078 patients to fondaparinux (2.5 mg subcuaneous once daily) or enoxaparin (1 mg/kg twice daily) for 2 to 8 days. The primary outcome (composite of death, MI, and refractory ischemia on day 9) was 5.9% and 5.8%, respectively. Major bleeding rates were 2.1% and 4.0%, respectively (hazard ratio 0.53; p<.001). By 6-month follow-up, the endpoints of death, death/MI, stroke, and composite of death/MI/stroke were significantly reduced in those receiving fondaparinux. Catheter thrombosis (during PCI) was 3-fold higher in fondaparinux-treated patients compared to those receiving enoxaparin (1.3% vs. 0.5%, respectively) (European Society of Cardiology presentation, September 2005). The clinical use of fondaparinux for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis will be discussed in Chapter 22.

Resumen
The term demonym (cro. etnik) is used in the Croatian linguistic bibliography to denote „the name of a person (a male or a female) living or having origins in an inhabited place (oyconym), region, country, state and continent“ (Babić, 1976: 145). Previous researches on the formation of demonyms in the standard (Barić, 1997; Silić and Pranjković, 2005) and some regional varieties (Šimunović, 2006; Čilaš Šimpraga and Kurtović Budja, 2009) of the Croatian language suggest that they are most frequently formed by the means of suffixation. Namely, 86 suffixes for male and 21 suffixes for female gender have been identified in the standard Croatian language. The aim of this paper is to present and analyse a corpus of demonyms of the Central Dalmatian island Brač. The corpus is a result of a field research conducted in September 2018 and March 2019. The research shows that there are 22 inhabited places on the island of Brač whose names were used to obtain about forty demonyms for each gender. For the purposes of this paper, they were subsequently recorded, verified, listed and analysed in terms of the type of their formation. Since the analysis of demonym formation revealed instances of multi-layered language variation, this paper will present some special features of local speeches recorded directly on the spot through the examples of interesting types of formation of demonyms for both genders. The aim of this paper is, therefore, two-fold: to preserve the demonyms from oblivion (since some of the places on the islands of Brač may soon be abandoned and uninhabited), and to systematize the demonyms of Brač in line with the models of demonym formation established for the standard Croatian language.

Resumen
The advancement of wireless technology facilitates both consumers’ activities and business transactions. With the rapid proliferation and widespread use of mobile devices, including mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and handheld computers, mobile commerce or m-commerce is widely considered to be a driving force for the next generation of electronic commerce (e-commerce). According to Jupiter Research, the m-commerce industry is expected to be US$22 billion globally by 2005. However, to date many promising technologies—especially m-commerce applications—have failed with the notable exceptions of i-Mode service and short messaging service (SMS). Popular “i-Mode”, produced by NTT DoCoMo of Japan, is a service that enables wireless Web browsing and e-mail from mobile phones. The “i-Mode service” has been the first successful commercial introduction of 3G (third-generation) mobile applications. It exceeded expectations and acquired over 30 million profitable users in a three-year period (Cohen, 2002). One of the main goals of most operators might be building customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing one or more ‘killer apps’ to them. One way is to integrate customer relationship management (CRM) into the development of mobile services’ applications. Some firms have tried to target these applications to their customers on an individualized basis. “Personalization” may be the way to achieve that. Specifically, personalization can be regarded as the use of technology and user/customer information to match multimedia content with individual needs with the goal of producing user satisfaction. Personalization can be presented by an IP services framework that allows operators and subscribers through selfservice provisioning approaches to control the types of service and applications they want and are willing to buy. The purpose of this article is to develop a deeper understanding of personalization, with an emphasis on those factors that lead to customer satisfaction and/or delight. Specifically, this article presents factors contributing to consequences derived from using personalized applications and services in m-commerce.

Resumen
MnCo2O4 spinel coatings are designed to be used on metallic interconnectors in SOFC devises to decrease oxidation rate of the metallic interconnect and to prevent the evaporation of harmful CrO3 and Cr2(OH)2 compounds. These Cr-compounds degrade the long-term performance of the SOFC by migrating to the triple phase barrier (TPB) of the cathode and reduce back to Cr2O3. MnCo2O4 spinel coatings, used in this study, were manufactured by using a novel solution precursor plasma spray (SPPS) process and heat treated in oxidizing environment. Resumen
Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) has been observed for decades in austenitic alloy weldments such as type 304 stainless steel as well as in Ni based alloy weldments including Alloy 600 and 690. SCC continues to be a primary maintenance concern for many components in both pressurized water reactors (PWR) and boiling water reactors (BWR). SCC is understood to be the result of a combination of susceptible material, exposure to a corrosive environment, and tensile stress above a threshold. Tensile residual stresses developed by prior machining and welding can accelerate SCC. A surface treatment is

Abstract The CO2 sequestration project is becoming increasingly attractive due to tax exemption benefits and as an initiative to reduce the global warming effect (D'Alesio, P., Poloni, R., Valente, P., & Magarini, P. A.2010). One of the major challenges in CO2 sequestration project is to ensure that the injection well integrity is intact throughout the well operating life. CO2 gas leakage to the surface or sea is unacceptable. Therefore, the considerations of using exotic/premium tubing materials are usually considered as the base case for continuous long-term operations (Baklid, A., Korbo

Resumen
The perpetual increase of data processing has led to an ever increasing need for power and in turn to greater cooling challenges. High density (HD) IT loads have necessitated more aggressive and direct approaches of cooling as opposed to the legacy approach by the utilization of row-based cooling. In-row cooler systems are placed between the racks aligned with row orientation; they offer cool air to the IT equipment more directly and effectively. Following a horizontal airflow pattern and typically occupying 50% of a rack’s width; in-row cooling can be the main source of cooling in the data ce
