Texto completoDetta examensarbete behandlar utvecklingen av en ny lösning för ett fällbart insteg till Scania lastbilar, som är ett modular product Scania utvecklar lastbilar till ett brett spektrum av tillämpningar. Behov av att transportera ytterligare passagerare kan finnas. För sådana tillämpningar erbjuder Scania specialfordon med manskapshytt, en förlängd hytt med bakdörrar. Enkel urstigning genom bakdörrarna är viktigt för många kunder som utnyttjar denna typ av hytt. Därför finns möjligheten att få ett utfällbart steg som förenklar in- och urstigning, utrustad med ett fast övre steg och ett fällbart nedre. Detta är särskilt viktigt för brandmän som bär tung utrustning och därför har svårare att ta sig ur bilen. Det utfällbara steget fälls ut för enkel åtkomst när det behövs och viks in under körning. Detta för att uppfylla lagkrav för fordonsbredd. Tryckluft används för att fälla ut steget och en fjäder används för att fälla in det. Flera fall där problem gällande in- och utfällningsmekanism har påvisats, fälls inte steget ut är det inte möjligt att stiga i och ur hytten. Förbättring av robusthet och pålitlighet behövs genomföras. Examensarbetet ska förbättra instignings- och urstigningsfunktionen och se till att den är robust och pålitlig.Genom att identifiera problemet, upprätta en produktspecifikation och genomföra en grundlig konceptgenerering och utvecklingsprocess har ett slutgiltigt koncept tagits fram. FEM simuleringar gjordes för att kunna verifiera att insteget håller för att kliva på. Resultatet blev ett undre steg, som glider på linjärlager. Detta möjliggör i och urstigning oberoende av i vilket läge steget är. Det gör den mer tillförlitlig än dagens produkt. Glidmekanismen måste testas för att kunna säkerställa dess robusthet. En prototyp har tillverkats för att testa detta.

Texto completoDenna masteruppsats studerar och förklarar den systematiska utvecklingsprocessen. Processens olika steg beskrivs inledningsvis generellt, för att sedan appliceras på ett reellt fall för att demonstrera genomförandet. Avslutningsvis ges fördelar, nackdelar och eventuella förbättringsförslag på metoden. Projektet genomfördes på Laxå Special Vehicles som producerar hytter och chassin för fordonstillverkaren Scania. Projektet fokuserade på hytterna som kallas Crew Cab och Low Entry, där den först nämnda är en förlängd hytt med fyra dörrar istället för två. Detta ger mer hyttutrymme, plats för fler passagerare och är därför vanlig i tillämpningar som till exempel brandbilar. Low Entry är en tvådörrarshytt vars insteg är lägre än för vanliga tvådörrarshytter, vilket gör den användbara i stadsnära miljöer där passagerare eller förare ofta lämnar och går in i hytten. Uppgiften som skulle lösas, och därmed målet, var att anpassa en rotationsenehet, även kallad tilt, för även kunna rotera LE. Ursprungligen var den endast anpassad för de två hyttvarianterna av Crew Cab, som kallas CC28 och CC31. Arbetet behandlade fem faser – förstudie, konceptgenerering, designspecificering, materialval och optimering – vilka skulle genomföras för att nå ett användbart resultat. Förstudien fokuserade på att erhålla kunskap om den systematiska utvecklingsprocessen, hur denna skulle genomföras, samt information om hur rotationsenheten fungerade. Konceptgenerering innehöll en problemnedbrytning, konceptskapande och utvärdering av de genererade koncepten. Under designspecificeringen gavs det bästa konceptet/koncepten dimensioner och specificerade funktioner för att under materialvalsprocessen erhålla passande material. Under optimeringsfasen genomfördes analysering och optimering, med avseende på styrka och styvhet. Två konstruktionslösningar utvecklades vilka löste var sitt delproblem som var höjd- och längdskillnad för den bakre monteringspunkten mellan Crew Cab och Low Entry. En omgjord monteringsplatta visade sig lösa höjdskillnaden bäst, kallad K100. Längdskillnaden togs om hand genom att applicera en längre glidskena som skulle täckas av luckor, kallade K4. Eftersom ett väl fungerande resultat erhållits visade den systematiska utvecklingsprocessen sig fungera som efterfrågat men med förbättringspotential.

Texto completoRapporten avhandlar ett förstudieprojekt för företaget EpirocRock Drills AB på avdelningen PLM Solutions. Företaget består av ett antal divisioner som alla arbetar med eller påverkas av CAD-modeller. PLM Solutions har länge sett ett behov av en gemensam metodik men på grund av prioriteringar av andra projekt har detta dröjt. Förstudiens syfte var att ta fram en kartläggning av den CAD-metodik som finns på företaget idag samt även se vilket behov av metodik som förekommer. Utifrån kartläggningen skulle en rekommendation ges i fråga om hur PLM Solutions skulle gå vidare vid ett större metodikprojekt. Rekommendationen var att skapa en övergripande gemensam CAD metodik och dra nytta av de redan existerande metoderna runt om i verksamheten. I och med att problemet behandlades som en förstudie utgörs också metoden av en förstudiemodell. Modellen är generell och anpassad för att passa just detta projekt. Tillvägagångssättet behandlar faserna uppstart, bakgrundsanalys och lösningar. I bakgrundsanalysen behandlas nulägesanalysen med hjälp av modeller för intervjuteknik. En större del av det underlag förstudien utgörs av, bygger på intervjuer med intressenter. Resultatet presenteras utifrån samma faser som metoden utgörs av. Resultatet består av en kartläggning av den metodik och behov som finns bland divisionerna, detta visualiseras också med hjälp av en SWOT-analys. Resultatet utgörs också av rekommendationen och kravspecifikationen som baseras på de intervjuer som utförts samt affärsfallet. Fortsatt arbetebör förslagsvis inkludera flerintervjuer, samla in mer material fråndivisionerna, mer utförliga beräkningar och ett större fokus på de avdelningar som påverkas av modellerna.

Texto completoThis thesis contains the product development of an expansion ring for a friction shaft. An expansion ring has according to design an inner surface to slide against the friction shaft and an outer friction surface to grip the socket. The development of the expansion ring has previously been started by the employer but needs more improvement to eliminate the problems that has previously been shown. The intention with this project is to improve and develop the current prototype to an environmentally friendly and price-efficient product that last for an acceptable lifespan. Previous prototypes from the employer all had different types of issues. These problems meant that the material fasten above the rings loosened and got caught into the friction shaft. Another significant problem arose when the solution was to glue the friction material to the slide material, which led to a strong odor for the operator. That is why a new development of prototypes was started where old prototype were looked over, and new ideas generated where both the material and design was revised. The material to use is chosen in consideration of the employer’s criteria for price-efficiency and environmental impact as well as to match the design concepts functionality. Thereafter, analyzes were made to review the capability at a theoretical level. When the analysis was complete, the prototypes were run through practical tests to see if the design and materials are in order and ready for producing toward customers. After research in material alternatives, PETNATUR was chosen as the material that theoretically meet the requirements set. A product development specification and a concept evaluation matrix were made to ensure that the design matched the employer’s criteria. The final prototype was a uniformed ring whose slide surface and friction surface consisted of the same material. This concept meant a simplified and therefore a more cost-efficient manufacturing and assembly process. The analysis of this concept was made with the results of both the material selection and design development in mind. Functionality was demonstrated by means of illustrations and examples on forces in the system, and the thermal values was calculated. Both these results showed value in further practical tests. In the tests, three tests were made, the tests measured temperature, pulling force of material and air pressure in the system. unfortunately, the IR-thermometer that was used to control the temperature wasn´t calibrated correctly. This meant that the results were unreliable. In addition, the production of prototypes wasn´t correctly made which was also considered to affect the results. The rings still showed good functionality during use, with stable values in the pulling force which meant that the design was functional. However, the conclusion was made that the solution did not produce enough result for production. After the tests were made, a clear change of the shape been observed which meant that the desired life expectancy couldn’t been guaranteed. Therefore, either the material or design need further development.

Texto completoThis thesis contains an analysis of a bicycle frame made of wood composite using finite element analysis. A group of students, educated in carpentry, have developed and created a bike but needs help from third part to continue the development of it. The intention of this project is to create a basis as a foundation for future improvements on the bicycle geometry, by evaluating current construction. This basis shall also to be used when material is picked to ease the process. The material data which has been received includes information about three different materials with two variants of thickness, 3 and 4 mm. As the material data does not take fiber direction into consideration, no regard has been made to the fact that the materials actually are orthotropic, which mean further studies are required to determine more accurate values. Since the employer did not have a properly working Computer Aided Design-model (CAD), a reconstructed and adapted model to function in the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) environment was created. The CAD-model was constructed using Creo Parametric 3.0 and the FEA software used was Creo Simulate. Since it’s not possible to simulate all situations that a bicycle is exposed to, four load cases have been chosen. The load cases are intended to be situations that occur relatively often but also put the bike structure under a lot of stress, namely a bump in the front and back wheel and also climbing in and out of the saddle. The results presented in this thesis report show that the current construction with 3 mm thickness can endure the load cases without exceeding any limits. This concludes that that 4 mm thickness, which is an option, is unnecessary thick. Further development should instead be focused on choosing the proper material structure based on desired properties.

This research work was focused on the dorsal hippocampal CA3-region study in C57BL/6 mouse because many computational models confer to this region a role in spatial memory and navigation processes. The combined results showed that this area is involved in the acquisition and particularly in the treatment of spatial information occuring memory consolidation, but not in the recall phase. Moreover, these studies showed that both CREB transcription factors and cellular adhesion molecules (PSA-NCAM) are involved during spatial memory consolidation, certainly by acting on synaptic modifications or reorganization in the CA3-region

The area studied forms a thin NNE-directed belt situated south of Recife town (Pernambuco state), northeastern Brazil. Geologically, it comprises the Pernambuco Basin (PB), which is limited by the Pernambuco Lineament to the north, the Maragogi high to the south and the Pernambuco Alagoas massif to the west, all of them with Precambrian age. This thesis reports the results obtained for the Cabo Magmatic Province (CMP), aiming the characterization of the geology, stratigraphy, geochronology, geochemistry and petrogenesis of the Cretaceous igneous rocks presented in the PB. The PB is composed of the Cabo Formation (rift phase) at the base (polymictic conglomerates, sandstones, shales), an intermediate unit, the Estiva Formation (marbles and argillites), and, at the top, the Algodoais Formation (monomictic conglomerates, sandstones, shales). The CMP is represented by trachytes, rhyolites, pyroclastics (ignimbrites), basalts / trachy-andesites, monzonites and alkali-feldspar granite, which occur as dykes, flows, sills, laccoliths and plugs. Field observations and well descriptions show that the majority of the magmatic rocks have intrusive contacts with the Cabo Formation, although some occurrences are also suggestive of synchronism between volcanism and siliciclastic sedimentation. 40Ar/39Ar and zircon fission tracks for the magmatic rocks indicate an average age of 102 r 1 Ma for the CMP. This age represents an expressive event in the province and is detected in all igneous dated materials. It is considered as a minimum age (Albian) for the magmatic episode and the peak of the rift phase in the PB. The 40Ar/39Ar dates are about 10-14 Ma younger than published palynologic ages for this basin. Geochemically, the CMP may be divided in two major groups; i) a transitional to alkaline suite, constituted by basalts to trachy-andesites (types with fine-grained textures and phenocrysts of sanidine and plagioclase), trachytes (porphyrytic texture, with phenocrysts of sanidine and plagioclase) and monzonites; ii) a alkaline suite, highly fractionated, acidic volcano-plutonic association, formed by four subtypes (pyroclastic flows ignimbrites, fine-to medium-grained rhyolites, a high level granite, and later rhyolites). These four types are distinguished essentially by field aspects and petrographic and textural features. Compatible versus incompatible trace element concentrations and geochemical modeling based on both major and trace elements suggest the evolution through low pressure fractional crystallization for trachytes and other acidic rocks, whereas basalts / trachy-andesites and monzonites evolved by partial melting from a mantle source. Sr and Nd isotopes reveal two distinct sources for the rocks of the CMP. Concerning the acidic ones, the high initial Sr ratios (ISr = 0.7064-1.2295) and the negative HNd (-0.43 to -3.67) indicate a crustal source with mesoproterozoic model ages (TDM from 0.92 to 1.04 Ga). On the other hand, the basic to intermediate rocks have low ISr (0.7031-0.7042) and positive HNd (+1.28 to +1.98), which requires the depleted mantle as the most probable source; their model ages are in the range 0.61-0.66 Ga. However, the light rare earth enrichment of these rocks and partial melting modeling point to an incompatible-enriched lherzolitic mantle with very low quantity of garnet (1-3%). This apparent difference between geochemical and Nd isotopes may be resolved by assuming that the metasomatizing agent did not obliterate the original isotopic characteristics of the magmas. A 2 to 5% partial melting of this mantle at approximately 14 kbar and 1269oC account very well the basalts and trachy-andesites studied. By using these pressure and temperatures estimates for the generation of the basaltic to trachy-andesitic magma, it is determined a lithospheric stretching (E) of 2.5. This E value is an appropriated estimate for the sub-crustal stretching (astenospheric or the base of the lithosphere?) region under the Pernambuco Basin, the crustal stretching probably being lower. The integration of all data obtained in this thesis permits to interpret the magmatic evolution of the PB as follows; 1st) the partial melting of a garnet-bearing lherzolite generates incompatible-enriched basaltic, trachy-andesitic and monzonitic magmas; 2nd) the underplating of these basaltic magmas at the base of the continental crust triggers the partial melting of this crust, and thus originating the acidic magmas; 3rd) concomitantly with the previous stage, trachytic magmas were produced by fractionation from a monzonitic to trachy-andesitic liquid; 4th) the emplacement of the several magmas in superficial (e.g. flows) or sub-superficial (e.g. dykes, sills, domes, laccoliths) depths was almost synchronically, at about 102 r 1 Ma, and usually crosscutting the sedimentary rocks of the Cabo Formation. The presence of garnet in the lherzolitic mantle does not agree with pressures of about 14 kbar for the generation of the basaltic magma, as calculated based on chemical parameters. This can be resolved by admitting the astenospheric uplifting under the rift, which would place deep and hot material (mantle plume?) at sub-crustal depths. The generation of the magmas and their subsequent emplacement would be coupled with the crustal rifting of the PB, the border (NNE-SSW directed) and transfer (NW-SE directed) faults serving as conduits for the magma emplacement. Based on the E parameter and the integration of 40Ar/39Ar and palynologic data it is interpreted a maximum duration of 10-14 Ma for the rift phase (Cabo Formation clastic sedimentation and basic to acidic magmatism) of the PB

Geologicamente, compreende a Bacia de Pernambuco (BP), situada entre o Lineamento Pernambuco (a norte), o Alto de Maragogi (a sul) e o Terreno Pernambuco-Alagoas (a oeste), os tr?s ?ltimos de idade Pr?-Cambriana. Esta tese compreende os resultados obtidos para a Prov?ncia Magm?tica do Cabo (PMC), com finalidade de caracterizar as rela??es geol?gicas, estratigr?ficas, geocronol?gicas, geoqu?micas e petrogen?ticos de rochas ?gneas cret?cicas presentes na BP. A BP ? composta pelas forma??es Cabo (fase rifte), basal (conglomerados polim?cticos, arenitos, folhelhos), Estiva (calc?rios, argilitos) e, no topo, Algodoais (conglomerados monom?cticos, arenitos, folhelhos). A PMC ? representada por traquitos, riolitos, pirocl?sticas (ignimbritos), basaltos / traqui-andesitos, monzonitos e ?lcali-feldspato granito, os quais ocorrem como diques, derrames, soleiras, lac?litos e plugs. Observa??es de campo e descri??o de dados de po?os demonstram que grande parte das rochas magm?ticas ? intrusiva na Forma??o Cabo, com algumas ocorr?ncias tamb?m sugestivas de contemporaneidade com f?cies silicicl?sticas desta forma??o. Dados geocronol?gicos, usando as metodologias 40Ar/39Ar e tra?os de fiss?o em zirc?o, revelam uma idade de cerca de 102 r 1 Ma para as rochas da PMC. Esta idade representa um evento marcante em toda a prov?ncia, haja vista a sua detec??o em todos os tipos de materiais ?gneos datados. Ela ? considerada como uma idade m?nima (Albiana) para o epis?dio magm?tico e o pico da fase rifte da BP. Geoquimicamente, a PMC pode ser dividida em dois grupos: (i) uma su?te transicional a alcalina, subdividida em basaltos a traqui-andesitos (tipos de textura fina, contendo fenocristais de olivina, clinopirox?nio e plagiocl?sio), traquitos (textura porfir?tica, com fenocristais de sanidina e plagiocl?sio) e monzonitos; (ii) uma associa??o vulcano-plut?nica alcalina, de composi??o ?cida bastante fracionada, constitu?da de quatro subconjuntos, um formado por rochas de fluxo pirocl?stico (ignimbritos), o segundo por riolitos de textura fina a m?dia, ambos com fenocristais de quartzo e sanidina, o terceiro referente ao Granito do Cabo, contendo anfib?lio alcalino, e por fim riolitos tardios. A distin??o entre esses quatro tipos ? feita com base essencialmente em aspectos de campo e petrogr?ficos. A coer?ncia dos padr?es de elementos terras raras e de anomalias de Eu em cada grupo corroboram a separa??o dos mesmos. Raz?es entre elementos compat?veis e incompat?veis e modelamentos geoqu?micos sugerem evolu??o por cristaliza??o fracionada a baixas press?es para os traquitos e demais rochas ?cidas, ao passo que basaltos / traqui-andesitos e monzonitos evolu?ram por mecanismos de fus?o parcial. Dados isot?picos de Sr e Nd revelam duas fontes distintas para a PMC. Para as rochas ?cidas, as altas raz?es isot?picas iniciais de Sr (ISr = 0,7064-1,2295) e o epsilo de Nd negativo (HNd = -0,43 a -3,67) caracterizam uma fonte crustal, com idade mesoproteroz?ica (TDM = 0,92-1,04 Ga). Para as rochas b?sicas a intermedi?rias, as baixas raz?es isot?picas iniciais do Sr (ISr = 0,7031-0,7042) e o epsilo de Nd positivo (HNd = +1,28 a +1,98) indicam uma fonte primordial do tipo manto empobrecido, cujos magmas teriam sido extra?dos de um manto neoproteroz?ico (TDM = 0,61-0,66 Ga). Todavia, o fracionamento dos elementos terras raras leves dessas rochas e modelos quantitativos de fus?o parcial requerem um manto lherzol?tico com pequenas quantidades de granada (1-3%), por?m enriquecido em elementos incompat?veis. Esta aparente incoer?ncia de dados geoqu?micos e de is?topos de Nd pode se resolvida admitindo que o agente metassomatisante n?o apagou as caracter?sticas isot?picas originais dos magmas. Usando as composi??es qu?micas dos basaltos e traqui-andesitos, estima-se que os respectivos magmas foram gerados por taxas de fus?o entre 2 e 5% de uma fonte lherzol?tica, a press?es e temperaturas de cerca de 14 kbar e 1269oC. Tais par?metros f?sicos s?o compat?veis com taxas de estiramento litosf?rico (E) em torno de 2,5. Em um modelo de estiramento uniforme, este valor de E seria v?lido para a evolu??o da bacia como um todo. Por?m, em um modelo de estiramento heterog?neo, E seria menor para a por??o crustal, em compara??o com a por??o subcrustal / mant?lica. A integra??o dos dados obtidos sugere a evolu??o do magmatismo da BP conforme segue: 1?) fus?o parcial (2-5%) do manto lherzol?tico com pequena quantidade de granada (1-3%), gerando magmas bas?lticos, traqui-andes?ticos e monzon?ticos, enriquecidos em elementos incompat?veis, especialmente terras raras leves; 2?) posicionamento destes magmas na base da crosta continental, provocando a fus?o parcial (em graus variados e a diferentes profundidades) desta e, assim, originando os magmas ?cidos; 3?) concomitante ? fase pr?via, magmas traqu?ticos seriam produzidos por fracionamento a partir de um l?quido monzon?tico; 4?) coloca??o dos diversos magmas em n?veis superficiais (derrames) ou subsuperficiais / hipabissais quase que sincronicamente, em geral intrusivos no pacote de rochas sedimentares da Forma??o Cabo, marcando o pico (ou final) da fase rifte na BP. A suposta presen?a de granada na fonte lherzol?tica n?o condiz com as profundidades de cerca de 14 kbar para a gera??o magma bas?ltico, obtida por par?metros qu?micos. Isto pode ser acomodado admitindo-se o soerguimento astenosf?rico sob o rifte, o que colocaria material quente (pluma?) oriundos de grandes profundidades (granada lherzolito) em n?veis subcrustais. A gera??o dos magmas e o subseq?ente posicionamento de grande volume dos mesmos estariam acoplados ao processo de rifteamento da BP, com controle de falhas de borda (NNE-SSW) e de transfer?ncia (NW-SE) como s?tios de coloca??o dos magmas. Com base no fator de estiramento (E_ e no confronto de dados geocronol?gicos 40Ar/39Ar e palinol?gicos, deduz-se que a fase rifte (sedimenta??o cl?stica a pel?tica da Forma??o Cabo e magmatismo b?sico a ?cido) teve uma dura??o m?xima de 10-14 Ma

By the computer science and technology, CAD/CAID application universal and version features are quickly updated which provides excellent education and training. Foreign schools focus on training in mechanical, electronic and other engineering fields. Howeve, there are not many related studies, and there is also a lack of discussion about the use of the CAD/CAID operations by design students. Whether industrial design gains a foothold in the future industry or gives the most of the effect, CAD/CAID plays an extremely important role. Due to the wide application of the CAD/CAID in the current production of industrial products. It is also one of the necessary skills of students in industrial design-related departments. However, only a few relevant studies have studied the assessment methods used in this field. There is a lack of research on the operational habits of the design students who with the humanities and arts background. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the satisfaction of design students when using graphical interfaces on the CAD/CAID drawing software by taking Creo as an example. Through of the literal discussion, industry data, observation of user operations, interviews, questionnaires and statistical analysis, we can provide some suggestions. It is expected to provide a reference mode for the user interface design of the CAD/CAID.
