Timely information about national crime statistics is essential in order to be able to track and address overall trends, sub-trends and compare criminal patterns. The study uses a descriptive correlational design to test the relationship between total population to crime occurrence as well as the total number of employment to crime occurrence. Results show that there is no significant relationship between total population and crime occurrence (r = 0.57, ρ = 0 .31). There is also no significant relationship between the employment status and crime occurrence (r = 0.58, ρ = 0.31).  T
