Resumen
Recently, credit cards with point rewards functions (rewards credit cards) are widely used. Credit card companies can collect the users’ usage log data of various stores in multiple industries. The purposes of possessing a credit card varies depending on each user such as to use only the credit function, to use both the credit and point rewards functions, etc. Moreover, credit cards can be used in various situations in users’ lives, and the purchase history of each user is diverse. Focusing on the diversity of both card possessing purposes and purchasing behavior for each user, we propose two latent class models representing these diversities in this research.

Resumen
One way of measuring the deprivation or poverty of persons is to use money-based measures: a person is regarded as ‘poor’ if his/her income (or expenditure) falls below a poverty line value. Such an approach – usually termed poverty analysis – has spawned a large literature embodying several sophisticated measures of poverty. The downside to this is that low income or expenditure may not be very good indicators of deprivation. Another way, usually termed ‘deprivation analysis’, is to define an index whose value, for each person, is the number (or proportion) of items from a prescribed list that he/she possesses: persons are then regarded as ‘deprived’ if their index value is below some threshold. This offers an alternative method of identifying deprived persons. The disadvantage of deprivation analysis is that it measures deprivation exclusively in terms of the proportion of deprived persons within the total number of persons. The purpose of this paper is to bridge the gap between poverty and deprivation analysis by constructing a wider set of measures of economic inequality and by showing, with data for Northern Ireland, how they might be applied. The result is an analysis sensitive to intra-population heterogeneity.

Resumen
In many countries, a birth certificate is necessary to attend school, receive health care, inherit property, open a bank account, gain access to credit, obtain other forms of identification, vote, and receive a death certificate (Hunter and Brill, 2016). A birth certificate is proof of identity, citizenship and serves as a gateway to the realisation of other rights for children. It also serves as evidence that a child has been registered. Using evidence from the Tanzania National Panel Data 2010/11, I show that birth registration predicts lower odds for possessing a birth certificate for children in Tanzania. Instead, the education of the mother and the ability of households to pay for their own malaria bed nets, serve as the strongest predictors for possessing birth certificates in Tanzania. The article concludes with recommendations for improving birth registration and certification in Tanzania.

Resumen
The law criminalising the possession of extreme pornography, first enacted in 2008 and amended to include rape pornography in 2015, continues to generate considerable controversy and calls for reform. In order to inform these ongoing discussions, we undertook a study to find out information about who is being charged with extreme pornography offences and their characteristics in terms of gender, age and ethnicity, as well as data on the specific type of pornography forming the subject-matter of those charges. Utilising freedom of information requests, our study provides valuable new information to help inform debates over the policing of extreme pornography across England and Wales. Overall, we found that the vast majority of those charged were white men across all age groups; that bestiality images formed the most common basis for charging and that, in respect of the data provided, the majority of charges were brought together with other sexual offences.

Resumen
Listrura costai, new species, is described from small streams in a swampy coastal plain in the rio Jurumirim basin, Angra dos Reis Municipality, Rio de Janeiro State, southeastern Brazil. The new species is morphologically very similar to L. nematopteryx and L. picinguabae, all possessing only one long pectoral-fin ray. It differs from its congeners by possessing an autapomorphic character: first hypobranchial with an anterior process (vs. process absent). Other features such as coloration, numbers of opercular and interopercular odontodes, number of anal-fin rays, head length, and shape of some bone structures help to distinguish the new species from L. nematopteryx and L. picinguabae. Molecular analyses using partial sequences of the mitochondrial DNA genes cytochrome oxidase c subunit 1 and cytochrome b from the new species and morphologically similar species are provided. The results about both molecular markers corroborate the validity of the new species by significant genetic distance values between it and congeneric species, and by its phylogenetic position in the hypotheses performed by maximum-parsimony method.

Texto completo
Resumen
Extant and extinct reptiles exhibit numerous combinations of tooth implantation and attachment. Tooth implantation ranges from those possessing roots and lying within a socket (thecodonty), to teeth lying against the lingual wall of the jawbone (pleurodonty), to teeth without roots or sockets that are attached to the apex of the marginal jawbones (acrodonty). Attachment may be ligamentous (gomphosis) or via fusion (ankylosis). Generally speaking, adaptative reasonings are proposed as an underlying driver for evolutionary changes in some forms of tooth implantation and attachment. However, a substantiated adaptive hypothesis is lacking for the state of acrodont ankylosis that is seen in several lineages of Lepidosauria, a clade that is plesiomorphically pleurodont. The convergent evolution of acrodont ankylosis in several clades of lepidosaurs suggests a selective pressure shaped the evolution of the trait. We hypothesize that acrodont ankylosis as seen in Acrodonta and Sphenodon punctatus, is an adaptation either resulting from or allowing for a stronger bite force. We analyzed bite force data gathered from the literature to show that those taxa possessing acrodont dentition possess a stronger bite force on average than those taxa with pleurodont dentition. Dietary specialists with pleurodont dentition may also possess relatively high bite forces, though body size may also play a role in their ability to bite hard. Furthermore, our results have implications for the evolution of acrodont ankylosis and potential behaviors related to strong bite force that influenced the evolution of acrodonty within Acrodonta and Rhynchocephalia.

Resumen
Considering the parameter’s uncertainty of Maglev networked control system, a fuzzy fault-tolerant control method possessing integrity based on T-S model was proposed with sensor data dropouts. When the sensor data of maglev networked system drops out, the state variable sampled at last control period is adopted by the controller. By setting different fault models of sensors and actuators, the fuzzy discrete close-loop model of maglev system was built with system parameter’s uncertainty. A passive integrality control method against sensor and actuator failures was designed with Linear Matrix Inequation (LMI). Simulation results well proved the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Resumen
Polyanions are an important class of water-soluble polymers because polyanions are utilized in a wide range of industrial fields. It is thus a great challenge to develop polyanions with novel structures to make their applications broader. In this study, a new polyanion with a dense 1,2,3-triazole backbone, poly(4-azido-5-hexanoic acid) (poly(AH)), was synthesized by copper(I)-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) polymerization of t-butyl 4-azido-5-hexanoate followed by hydrolysis of the t-butyl ester groups. Turbidimetric and potentiometric titration data indicated that poly(AH) was well soluble in water under basic conditions (pH < 7) and a weaker polyanion (apparent pKa = 5.4) than polyacrylic acid (apparent pKa = 4.5). Adsorption tests exhibited that sodium salt of poly(AH) (poly(AH)Na) adsorbed most preferably Fe3+ among the four metal ions examined, i.e., Cu2+, Pb2+, Li+, and Fe3+. 1H spin-lattice relaxation time measurements indicated that Fe3+ ions were adsorbed favorably onto the 1,2,3-triazole residues.

The orbital occupancy of the stripped proton in the phosphors isotopes with mass number 26–29 have been determined through the analysis of longitudinal momentum distributions (LMDs) of [Formula: see text] core fragments coming from [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] stripping reactions at high energies. It has been found that the probability of occupying [Formula: see text]-orbital by the stripped proton is 40–60%, 30–50%, 30–50% and 0–20% in [Formula: see text] isotopes, respectively. The effects of Coulomb barrier for the possibility of halo structure in proton-rich nuclei has also been examined and found that it decreases the chance of possessing halo structure in proton-rich nuclei.

Resumen
Succinate dehydrogenase-inhibiting (SDHI) fungicides have been widely applied in commercial potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) fields for the control of early blight, caused by Alternaria solani Sorauer. Five-point mutations on three AsSdh genes in A. solani have been identified as conferring resistance to SDHI fungicides. Recent work in our laboratory determined that A. solani isolates possessing the D123E mutation, or the substitution of aspartic acid for glutamic acid at position 123 in the AsSdhD gene, were collected at successively higher frequencies throughout a 3-year survey. In total, 118 A. solani isolates previously characterized as possessing the D123E mutation were evaluated in vitro for boscalid and fluopyram sensitivity. Over 80% of A. solani isolates with the D123E mutation evaluated were determined to be highly resistant to boscalid in vitro. However, effective concentration at which the fungal growth is inhibited by 50% values of isolates with the D123E mutation to fluopyram, ranging from 0.2 to 3 µg/ml, were sensitive and only slightly higher than those of baseline isolates to fluopyram, which ranged from 0.1 to 0.6 µg/ml. Five A. solani isolates with the D123E mutation were further evaluated in vivo for percent disease control obtained from boscalid and fluopyram compared with two wild-type isolates, three isolates possessing the F129L mutation, two isolates possessing the H134R mutation, two isolates possessing the H133R mutation, and one isolate with the H278R mutation. Relative area under the dose response curve values for boscalid and fluopyram were significantly lower for all five D123E-mutant isolates, demonstrating reduced disease control in vivo. In field trials, the frequency of A. solani isolates with the D123E mutation recovered from treatments receiving an in-furrow application of fluopyram ranged from 5 to 37%, which was significantly higher compared with treatments receiving foliar applications of standard protectants, in which the frequency of the D123E mutation in isolates ranged from 0 to 2.5%. Results suggest that A. solani isolates possessing the D123E mutation have a selective advantage under the application of fluopyram compared with SDHI-sensitive isolates, as well as isolates possessing other mutations conferring SDHI resistance. These data illustrate the importance of implementing fungicide resistance management strategies and cautions the use of fluopyram for in-furrow applications that target other pathogens of potato.

Texto completo
Resumen
A 30 kDa protein was purified from pig liver cytosol by using ATP-Sepharose and Green A column chromatography. The partial amino acid sequences of the protein (95 amino acid residues) had no similarity with any proteins recorded in data banks. The protein was able to form a stable complex with unfolded dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR). The spontaneous refolding of chemically denatured DHFR was arrested by the 30 kDa protein. This inhibition presumably results from the formation of a stable complex between the 30 kDa protein and DHFR. Bound DHFR could be released from the protein with ATP. The protein also showed protease resistance in an ATP-dependent manner. Incubation of the 30 kDa protein with 5 mM ATP resulted in its resistance to V8 protease or to trypsin treated with 1-chloro-4-phenyl-3-L-toluene-p-sulphonamidobutan-2-one. Divalent cations enhanced the ATP-protection effect. CD analysis of the 30 kDa protein showed that ATP induced an increase in the β-pleated sheet content and a decrease in the α-helix content of the 30 kDa protein. These results suggest that the 30 kDa protein, a novel cytosolic protein, might have an affinity for ATP, a chaperonin activity, and and an ATP-protection effect against some proteases in vivo.

Resumen
Metabolomics data analysis is an important task in biomedical research. The available tools do not provide a wide variety of methods and data types, nor ways to store and share data and results generated. Thus, we have developed WebSpecmine to overcome the aforementioned limitations. WebSpecmine is a web-based application designed to perform the analysis of metabolomics data based on spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques (NMR, Infrared, UV-visible, and Raman, and LC/GC-MS) and compound concentrations. Users, even those not possessing programming skills, can access several analysis methods including univariate, unsupervised and supervised multivariate statistical analysis, as well as metabolite identification and pathway analysis, also being able to create accounts to store their data and results, either privately or publicly. The tool’s implementation is based in the R project, including its shiny web-based framework. Webspecmine is freely available, supporting all major browsers. We provide abundant documentation, including tutorials and a user guide with case studies.

Infrared spectra of benzylidene aniline, p-nitrobenzylidene aniline, p-N-dimethylaminobenzylidene aniline, and their 15N-labelled azomethine analogs were obtained to assess the reliability of C=N stretching assignments and Hammett relationships based on these results. The isotopic data indicate that there is extensive mixing of internal coordinates in bands near 1600 cm−1. Bands possessing the greatest C=N stretching character are not always readily distinguishable from aromatic ring breathing modes due to variations in relative intensities and band overlap. Problems related to the use of frequency and intensity data of highly coupled normal modes in Hammett correlations are discussed.

Resumen
We consider the data fitting problem under uncertainty, which is not described by probabilistic laws, but is limited in magnitude and has an interval character, i.e., is expressed by the intervals of possible data values. The most general case is considered when the intervals represent the measurement results both in independent (predictor) variables and in the dependent (criterial) variables. The concepts of weak and strong compatibility of data and parameters of functional dependence are introduced. It is shown that the resulting formulations of problems are reduced to the study and estimation of various solution sets for an interval system of equations constructed from the processed data. We discuss in detail the strong compatibility of the parameters and data, as more practical, more adequate to the reality and possessing better theoretical properties. The estimates of the function parameters, obtained in view of the strong compatibility, have a polynomial computational complexity, are robust, almost always have finite variability, and are also only partially affected by the so-called Demidenko paradox. We also propose a computational technology for solving the problem of constructing a linear functional dependence under interval data uncertainty and take into account the requirement of strong compatibility. It is based on the application of the so-called recognizing functional of the problem solution set — a special mapping, which recognizes, by the sign of the values, whether a point belongs to the solution set and simultaneously provides a quantitative measure of this membership. The properties of the recognizing functional are discussed. The maximum point of this functional is taken as an estimate of the parameters of the functional dependency under construction, which ensures the best compatibility between the parameters and data (or their least discrepancy). Accordingly, the practical implementation of this approach, named «maximum compatibility method», is reduced to the computation of the unconditional maximum of the recognizing functional — a concave non-smooth function. A specific example of solving the data fitting problem for a linear function from measurement data with interval uncertainty is presented.

Resumen
The paper proposes one approach to predict the behavior of complex dynamic systems based on monitoring data presented as time series. The general idea of the approach is a decomposition of a prediction task of the behavior of a complex dynamic system possessing substantial structural and parametric uncertainty. The prediction task is performed in two stages. The first stage realizes the retrospective situational modeling for individual time periods resulting in a set of situational models in the form of simple regressions. The second stage comprises inductive modeling based on the previous situational modeling results. According to the approach, the prediction by means of such combined situational-inductive modeling is aimed at establishing relevant situational models of regression type being adequate in the future within certain limited time periods. The approach allows using simultaneously both the principle of optimization in modeling and the principle of adaptation to situational changes occurring in dynamic systems.

Resumen
In a large-scale single industry case study, insights are provided into corporate governance factors affecting innovative capacity in the superannuation industry in Australia. Analysis of the data indicated that the major corporate governance factors driving innovation in the industry included: ‘possessing a progressive organisational culture’, ‘emphasis on marketing-orientation’, and ‘engaging in co-opetition’. Similarly, the data indicated that the major corporate governance factors inhibiting innovation included: ‘possessing a conservative/risk-averse organisational culture’, ‘unwillingness to deviate from a strict interpretation of regulation’, ‘emphasis on a profit-orientation’, and ‘the absence of any formalised innovation processes within the firm’. These findings are used to develop a ‘theory of innovation’ link between corporate governance approaches and innovative capacity in the Australian superannuation industry. Although this study is limited in its scope, it does represent an initial exploration of the critical relationship that exists between Board-level functions and the ability of a superannuation firm to innovate in the Australian context.

Resumen
Karyotype of M. curema from the Gulf of Mexico and Brazil have been reported as possessing chromosome complement with 2n=28 and FN=48, whereas specimens from Venezuela has been reported as possessing a diploid number 2n=24 and a conserved FN (48). Although at first sight this variation suggests the presence of a chromosomal intraspecific (interpopulational) variability, the possibility that we are dealing with two different species was examined. This work revisit the karyotypes of M. curema from Venezuela and Brazil, including new data on C-banding, and NOR localization, and compares morphologic characteristics of samples from both localities. Thus, besides diploid number, the constitutive heterochromatin distribution and NORs location, mark other differences between M. curema Cytotype 1 (2n=28; FN=48) and Cytotype 2 (2n=24; NF=48). Moreover, morphologic comparison revealed differences in the scale counts and pectoral fin rays: 35 scales in the middle body line and 15 pectoral fin rays in specimens possessing the karyotype 2n=28, compared with 37-39 scales in the middle body line and 17 pectoral fin rays in specimens with the karyotype 2n=24. These differences lead us to suggest that both cytotypes are not related merely to geographic polytipic variations but could correspond to different species.

Resumen
An extreme-point symmetric mode decomposition (ESMD) method is proposed to improve the Hilbert–Huang Transform (HHT) through the following prospects: (1) The sifting process is implemented by the aid of 1, 2, 3 or more inner interpolating curves, which classifies the methods into ESMD_I, ESMD_II, ESMD_III, and so on; (2) The last residual is defined as an optimal curve possessing a certain number of extreme points, instead of general trend with at most one extreme point, which allows the optimal sifting times and decompositions; (3) The extreme-point symmetry is applied instead of the envelop symmetry; (4) The data-based direct interpolating approach is developed to compute the instantaneous frequency and amplitude. One advantage of the ESMD method is to determine an optimal global mean curve in an adaptive way which is better than the common least-square method and running-mean approach; another one is to determine the instantaneous frequency and amplitude in a direct way which is better than the Hilbert-spectrum method. These will improve the adaptive analysis of the data from atmospheric and oceanic sciences, informatics, economics, ecology, medicine, seismology, and so on.

Kuroda (1960) noted that his new species, Vertigo shimochii Kuroda & Amano, 1960, was distinct from other members of the genus in Japan by possessing a “relatively large and long shell with deep suture and much inflated whorls” (p. 77). While shell shape was noted to be similar to a Gastrocopta, they assigned the species to Vertigo based on its “shell color and lamella characteristics” (p. 77). Vertigo shimochii has since been considered endemic to the southern parts of Japan (The Environment Agency 1988; Minato 1988; Azuma 1995; Biodiversity Center of Japan 2002), and of near threatened status in the Kagoshima Prefecture Red Data Book (Kagoshima Prefectural Government 2003).

Resumen
Two isolates of the barley net blotch pathogen (Pyrenophora teres f. teres), one possessing high virulence (0-1) and the other possessing low virulence (15A) on the barley cultivar Harbin, were crossed and the progeny of the mating were isolated. Conidia from cultures of the parent and progeny isolates were used as inoculum to determine the inheritance of virulence in the pathogen. Of the 82 progeny tested, 42 exhibited high virulence and 40 exhibited low virulence on ‘Harbin’ barley. The data support a model in which a single, major gene controls virulence in P. teres f. teres on this barley cultivar (1:1 ratio; χ2 = 0.05, P = 0.83). Preparations of DNA were made from parental and progeny isolates, and the DNA was subjected to the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique in a search for molecular genetic markers associated with the virulence phenotype. Five RAPD markers were obtained that were associated in coupling with low virulence. The data indicate that the RAPD technique can be used to tag genetic determinants for virulence in P. teres f. teres.

Reactions of 1,4,5-triaryl-2-(4-bromomethyl)phenyl-imidazoles with sodium azide in acetone give the corresponding azidomethyl derivatives, which on 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with various terminal alkynes in the presence of CuI afford novel 1,2,3-triazole products. On the other hand, treatment of 2,4,5-triaryl-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-imidazoles with propargyl chloride in the presence of a base gives the corresponding propargyl ether derivatives, which under CuI-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with benzyl azide produce 1,2,3-triazole derivatives. All the products are characterized from their spectroscopic data and most are evaluated for fluorescence emission. The optical parameters of the studied products are also reported.

Resumen
Callihan and White (1999) present a methodology for applying Scholes and Wolfson's (1992) model of implicit tax rates to financial statement data. This methodology is aimed at addressing two issues: (1) measurement of implicit tax rates and (2) determination of the extent to which firms possessing market power can shift implicit tax burdens away from the firm. This paper examines Callihan and White's empirically driven definition of implicit tax rates and points to the pitfalls of using this definition for firms that might possess market power. In particular, I show that, since the Callihan and White measure assumes that firms do, in fact, operate in perfectly competitive markets, it cannot be used validly to measure the magnitude of implicit taxes in the presence of firm market power. Additionally, my analysis casts doubt over the validity of Callihan and White's finding that implicit taxes are lower for firms possessing market power.

Resumen
This study examines the effect of employing density of use data in making serial relegation decisions. It demonstrates that density of use favours the retention of used titles which occupy a small amount of shelf space compared with titles occupying a large amount of shelf space. Density of use may favour the retention of low‐use titles possessing a high density of use compared with a high‐use title occupying a large amount of shelf space. While the paper presents an easy method for identifying titles possessing a high total use but having a comparatively low density of use, the strategy fails to identify titles having a high density of use but which also have some scope for partitioning between open and closed access. It therefore outlines a simple method of partitioning these titles between open and closed access to increase the density of use of the open access collection.

Resumen
Environmental and quality management practices are extremely relevant for a firm’s development and international recognition. However, dealing with the standards required and obtaining an international standards certification involves costs for employee training, procedure documents, and third-party audit fees that must be paid in advance by companies. This paper attempts to analyze the impact of difficulties in accessing external financing on the likelihood of possessing the standards and the certification, for firms based in 64 countries. A crucial aspect in uncovering such a causal effect is the potential endogeneity of financial constraints with respect to international standards certification. I address this issue by adopting a bivariate probit model and a set of firm-level instrumental variables. The empirical results showed that financially constrained firms were less likely to possess the standards required and the associated international certification, and that this impact was more relevant for small and young firms.

Resumen
Within the framework of studies of the stability of magneto-plasmas to non-ideal modes, such as resistive modes, the problem of determining the asymptotic matching data arising from the outer (ideal) region is considered. Modes possessing both tearing and interchange (ballooning) parity are considered in finite-pressure plasmas. The matching data, which form a matrix whose elements represent the small solution response to forcing by a big solution, are shown to derive from a variational (energy) principle. The variational principle, as presented, applies to both cylindrical and two-dimensional (toroidal) geometries. Allowing for the presence of multiple rational surfaces, a reciprocity relation between off-diagonal elements of the matching data matrix is obtained. The variational principle is suitable for numerical approximation, and, in particular, for the finite-element method, for which convergence rates are estimated. By packing nodes near the rational surface, maximum convergence, proportional to the inverse square of the number of mesh nodes for tent functions, is achieved.

Resumen
Product design is often viewed as being a heterarchical and iterative process, possessing both systematic and chaotic qualities. However, a common denominator across all design activities is the access and utilization of information. In today's computer-aided design market, most of the available tools are narrowly focused on specific computational details for individual stages of design. Aids are needed to support information access and utilization during all stages of the design process. The application of human engineering and ergonomics data by designers is an increasingly challenging problem. Locating and understanding relevant information so that it can be applied to specific design issues is difficult given the abundance of existing and new data available. This is further complicated, in that the data are typically written to communicate research results to other human factors specialists. A new software product, Computer Aided Systems Human Engineering: Performance Visualization Subsystem (CASHE:PVS), is described which will assist the designer during the decision making process, maximizing creative and analytical abilities while minimizing costs due to design time and errors. The software contains several features to enhance the designer's ability to interpret and apply the human factors data available in the product. Phenomena descriptions in text, figures, and tables are combined with experiential information via simulations, animations, and audio. This provides the user a unique and rich understanding of human performance phenomena and how they relate to the design of new products.

AbstractThe aim of this study is investigation the applicability of SSR and ISSR markers in evaluating the genetic relationships in twenty accessions ofAegilopsandTriticumspecies with D genome in different ploidy levels. Totally, 119 bands and 46 alleles were detected using ten primers for ISSR and SSR markers, respectively. Polymorphism Information Content values for all primers ranged from 0.345 to 0.375 with an average of 0.367 for SSR, and varied from 0.29 to 0.44 with the average 0.37 for ISSR marker. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) revealed that 81% (ISSR) and 84% (SSR) of variability was partitioned among individuals within populations. Comparing the genetic diversity ofAegilopsandTriticumaccessions, based on genetic parameters, shows that genetic variation ofAe. crassaandAe. tauschiispecies are higher than other species, especially in terms of Nei’s gene diversity. Cluster analysis, based on both markers, separated total accessions in three groups. However, classification based on SSR marker data was not conformed to classification according to ISSR marker data. Principal co-ordinate analysis (PCoA) for SSR and ISSR data showed that, the first two components clarified 53.48% and 49.91% of the total variation, respectively. This analysis (PCoA), also, indicated consistent patterns of genetic relationships for ISSR data sets, however, the grouping of accessions was not completely accorded to their own geographical origins. Consequently, a high level of genetic diversity was revealed from the accessions sampled from different eco-geographical regions of Iran.

Resumen
In this study, a series of asymmetric aryl 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds were synthesized and their enol forms were observed via experimental data and theoretical calculations. According to the 1H- and 13C-NMR results, all the investigated compounds were found as a single enol form in CDCl3 solution. Moreover, their HMBC spectra were applied to identify the observed enol forms and correlations between certain protons and carbon atoms were considered. The dihedral angles of the asymmetric compounds that have aryl units on both sides were calculated by DFT to understand the reason for the observed enol forms. Small dihedral angles caused longer conjugation, resulting in more stable compounds and it was found that the observed enol forms were based on small dihedral angles, namely, resonance is the driving force. Furthermore, the compounds possessing both aryl and alkyl moieties prefer the enol form towards the aromatic ring side due to longer conjugation.

This study aimed to investigate how the linguistic behaviors of Saudi female employees at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University index their social class identity. The study used a holistic case with embedded units design. The researchers carried out interviews to collect the data. The interview questions were validated by eight EFL university professors. Besides, the discourse analysis was discussed based on the ethnography of communicative approach and the interactional sociolinguistics approach. The data analysis revealed that the linguistic behavior of the Saudi female employees yielded variant extents of indexation to their social class identity in terms of self-esteem, prestige, and power. The results proved that the linguistic behavior of the professors indexed their high-class identity in terms of their high level of self-esteem, high level of prestigious state, and high level of possessing power emotions. In addition, the linguistic behavior of the security employees indexed only two phases of their middle-class identity which were unsuccessful attempts to be prestigious speakers and their moderate sense of power. Finally, the indexation of the workers’ identity as low-class speakers was manifested in their linguistic behavior in terms of the low level of self-esteem and lack of power possession emotions.

Resumen
We have previously demonstrated that Drosophila synapses possess two vesicle populations—a small active zone population replenished by “fast” recycling and a much larger reserve population replenished by a slower recycling mechanism that includes endosomal intermediates. In this paper, we demonstrate that the synapses onto the tergotrochanteral muscle (TTM) are very unusual in that they possess only the active zone vesicle population but not the reserve population. The depression characteristics to repetitive stimulation of the TTM were compared with those of the dorsal longitudinal muscle (DLM), the synapses of which possess both an active zone and a reserve population. It was observed that the TTM response depressed more quickly than that of the DLM. To further explore the possible contribution of the reserve population to release, using the shibire mutant, DLM synapses were experimentally constructed that possess only the active zone population, and their depression characteristics were compared with those of the same synapses possessing both populations. It was observed that responses from DLM synapses possessing only the active zone population depressed more quickly than the same synapses possessing both populations. These experiments were conducted under conditions of blocked recycling so that the difference in stimulation tolerance represents the contribution of the reserve population to release. Furthermore, the depression curve of the DLM synapses lacking a reserve population now closely approximated that of the TTM synapses. These data suggest that the reserve vesicle population of DLM synapses may contribute to transmitter release during repetitive firing at physiological frequencies (5–10 Hz).

Resumen
The bilayered mammary epithelium comprises a luminal layer of secretory cells and a basal layer of myoepithelial cells. Numerous data suggest the existence of self-renewing, pluripotent mammary stem cells; however, their molecular characteristics and differentiation pathways are largely unknown. BC44 mammary epithelial cells in culture, display phenotypic characteristics of basal epithelium, i.e., express basal cytokeratins 5 and 14 and P-cadherin, but no smooth muscle markers. In vivo, after injection into the cleared mammary fat pad, these cells gave rise to bilayered, hollow, alveolus-like structures comprising basal cells expressing cytokeratin 5 and luminal cells positive for cytokeratin 8 and secreting β-casein in a polarized manner into the lumen. The persistent stimulation of EGF receptor signaling pathway in BC44 cells in culture resulted in the loss of the in vivo morphogenetic potential and led to the induction of active MMP2, thereby triggering cell scattering and motility on laminin 5. These data (a) suggest that BC44 cells are capable of asymmetric division for self-renewal and the generation of a differentiated progeny restricted to the luminal lineage; (b) clarify the function of EGF in the control of the BC44 cell phenotypic plasticity; and (c) suggest a role for this phenomenon in the mammary gland development.

Resumen
Encryption, itself doesn’t prevent interception, but denies the message content to the interceptor. For technical reasons, an encryption scheme usually uses a pseudo-random encryption key generated by an algorithm. It is impossible to decrypt the message without possessing the key, but, for a well-designed encryption scheme, large computational resources and skills are required to decrypt it. An authorized recipient can easily decrypt the message with the key provided by the originator to recipients, but not to unauthorized interceptors. Data hiding is the skill of hiding messages in such a ways the only the sender and the receiver of the message knows that the message has been hidden. In the context of secured information transmission and reception, efficient techniques for data encryption and decryption are very much essential. In this paper, a message transfer application is developed which mainly focusses on secret message transfer between two parties. Used scheme not only focusses on text but also the encryption of images and videos. A unique algorithm i-Se4GE is used for the transfer of keys required for the encryption and decryption of messages. This algorithm makes use of a set of random numbers, timestamp of the two users, a set of public keys and dynamic keys. The algorithm uses a two-step authentication request-reply process which provides it a double layer security.

Resumen
Tardigrada are a phylum of microscopic animals inhabiting a variety of ecosystems, both aquatic and terrestrial, being recognised for their remarkable abilities to withstand tough environmental conditions. The order Apochela groups exclusively carnivorous species, with the vast majority representing the genus Milnesium Doyère, 1840. Representatives of this genus are characterised by simplified morphology, therefore possessing an extremely limited set of taxonomically meaningful morphological traits. Nevertheless, the taxonomy of Milnesium is mostly based on classical data: observations and measurements in light microscopy with the majority of descriptions lacking integrative data, most importantly DNA barcodes, but also scanning electron microscopy photographs and developmental variability analysis. Hence, re-descriptions that include novel integrative data are urgently needed. In this contribution, we provide new taxonomic data for two species described from Central Asia, Milnesium almatyense (a single population) and Milnesium reductum Tumanov, 2006 (five populations): morphometrics, DNA barcodes, SEM observations and description of developmental variability. As a result, we amend the description of both species and reveal phylogenetic relationships of those species and other sequenced congeners. The integrative data confirm the validity of the two species and include them in the growing set of Milnesium species associated with DNA sequences.

Resumen
A new nematode species was recovered from syconia of Ficus fistulosa from the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, during a survey of nematode biodiversity from 2007 to 2012. It is described herein as Schistonchus fistulosus n. sp. and is typologically characterised by possessing the combined characters of a long post-uterine sac, excretory pore located near the metacorpus, amoeboid sperm, three pairs of subventral papillae on the male tail, a mucron on the male tail tip, absence of a gubernaculum and possession of ox-horn-shaped spicules without a terminal cucullus and with a short, broad and bluntly rounded rostrum. Schistonchus fistulosus n. sp. was easily differentiated from other sequenced species by the partial small subunit rRNA gene (SSU) and D3 expansion segments of the large subunit rRNA gene (LSU). Phylogenetic analysis with partial SSU sequences suggests that S. fistulosus n. sp. has a closer relationship with S. guangzhouensis and S. baculum in the same highly supported monophyletic clade than to the other sequenced Schistonchus species. Based upon inferences using LSU D3 sequence data, it is also in a well-supported monophyletic clade with S. guangzhouensis and S. baculum.
