Resumen
The paper represents the mathematical model for diagnostics of supercapacitors. The research objectives are the problem of determining a supercapacitor technical condition during its operation. The general reliability of diagnostics is described as the methodological and instrumental reliabilities of diagnostics. The instrumental diagnostic reliability of supercapacitor includes the probabilities of errors of the first and second kind, α and β respectively. The methodological approach to increasing the reliability of supercapacitor diagnostic has been proposed, in terms of multi-parameter supercapacitor diagnostic by applying nonlinear, frequency dependent mathematical models of supercapacitors that take into account nonlinearity, frequency dispersion of parameters and the effect of transient processes in supercapacitors. The more frequencies, operating voltages and currents are applied in the supercapacitor diagnostics, the more methodological reliability of diagnostics will increase in relation to the methodological reliability of supercapacitor diagnostics when only one frequency, voltage and current are applied.

Resumen
Introduction.Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)infection is very common worldwide. A reliable diagnosis is crucial for patients withH. pylori-related diseases. At followup, it is important to confirm that eradication therapy has been successful. There is no established gold standard for the diagnosis ofH. pyloriinfection.Material and Methods. A sample of 304 volunteers from the general population was screened forH. pyloriinfection with serology,13C-urea breath test (UBT), rapid urease test (RUT) on fresh biopsy, culture from biopsy, and histological examination. Culture was used as gold standard.Results. The sensitivity was 0.99 for serology, 0.90 for UBT, 0.90 for RUT, and 0.90 for histological examination. Corresponding specificities were 0.82, 0.99, 0.98, and 0.97, respectively. The accuracy was 0.86 for serology, 0.96 for UBT, 0.95 for RUT, 0.93 for culture, and 0.95 for histology. There was a strong correlation between the results of UBT and the histological scores ofH. pyloricolonisation as well as between the results of UBT and the scores of RUT.Conclusion. There were only minor differences in accuracy between the three invasive tests forH. pyloriinfection in this population. RUT may be recommended as the first choice since a result is obtained within hours. The accuracy of UBT was comparable to the invasive tests, and it is recommended for situations when endoscopy is not needed.

Resumen
The reliability of headache diagnosis using the criteria of the International Headache Society (IHS) has not been well studied. One definition of reliability refers to the reproducibility of diagnoses assigned to the same individual at different times. Reproducibility of diagnosis should be assessed using different clinicians at different times, with or without specific diagnostic instruments. A diagnosis may be unreliable because of variability in diagnostic criteria, in the clinical information used to assign diagnoses, or in the interpretation and application of clinical information to a given set of diagnostic criteria. Reliable diagnostic methods are essential to the development of valid diagnostic methods, as well as for the identification of headache risk factors, biological markers, and effective treatments. An approach to studying the reliability of the International Headache Society criteria is outlined, modeled after the extensive studies conducted in the area of psychiatric diagnosis.

Resumen
A random sample of 100 new patients referred consecutively to the psychiatric hospital was assessed using the Arabic translation of the PSE. An abstract form was designed to include all PSE scores as well as the necessary extra data to make ICD-9, ICD-10, and DSM-III-R diagnoses. Kappa correlation was calculated for inter-rater and intra-rater reliability. Overall reliability and reliability of each major psychiatric diagnosis were compared between the three systems. The use of the PSE helped in achieving good agreement between Arab psychiatrists for all the three systems, but ICD-10 was found to have the highest reliability figures both for three-digit and four-digit psychiatric diagnoses.

Resumen
There have been few attempts to standardize assessment methods in Child Psychiatry. This paper describes a semi-structured approach to diagnostic interviewing of the child. Thirty-four children six to 13 years of age, and their parents, were interviewed two weeks apart by two different psychiatrists. A diagnostic coding form consisting of 29 clinical symptom items, eight summary items, and nine positive health ratings was used. Three diagnostic items were also included: “severity of clinical condition,” “probability of disorder,” and “adjustment status.” Twelve of the Time 2 interviews with the child and parent were videotaped and rated by three different psychiatrists. Results indicated that summary items had higher reliability than individual symptom items and the three diagnostic items had the highest reliability, suggesting reliability is better for broad classes of behaviour. Interrater reliability was higher for the face-to-face rating than videotaped ratings. This suggests first that face-to-face interviews are reasonably stable over a two week period and second, since videotaped ratings had lowest reliability on items that depended on inferences about the child's feedlings, an important source of variance in assessment may be the clinician's ability to empathize with the child and draw inferences about internal feeling-states. It was concluded that this interview schedule can be a part of routine clinical practice. It ensures a reasonably standard, yet flexible and reliable approach to diagnostic interviewing.

The article presents a diagnostic and reliability model of an internal combustion engine that allows to assess the reliability status of the engine’s systems for a two-state model of operation and maintenance: functional – failed. The proposed diagnostic model is a qualitative-quantitative probabilistic model combining the reliability states of the engine systems with the values of the vibroacoustic diagnostic signal parameters. The conducted diagnostic and reliability experiments and simulation tests showed that based on the developed diagnostic and reliability model, it is possible to determine the reliability states of the engine.

Resumen
On the basis of an analysis of the number of goods that are transported and handled in maritime transport, the ports for cargo ships may be considered as places with concentrated emissions. Reducing the emissions in ports can be achieved by shortening the stay times of cargo ships. The time that ships spend in ports may be reduced to the time that is required for the effective handling of the goods. One of the solutions for effective handling is using equipment with linear rolling systems. To prevent the idle time of cargo ships and the unnecessary increment of emissions in ports because of the possible failure of the linear rolling systems, their reliability and failure prediction are greatly required. Unfortunately, the common diagnostic systems of linear rolling systems in transportation practice still fail in particular cases of great external loads. Therefore, an original solution of the diagnostic system was designed on the basis of a load-free diagnostic part with a vibration sensor that is integrated into a carriage of the linear rolling system. A functional sample of the diagnostics was produced, and the vibrations that were measured on a loaded carriage and on the diagnostic part were compared in laboratory conditions under significant external loads. Encouraging results were reached by a time-domain analysis of the measured data. On the diagnostic part, the damage appeared clearly, while, on the loaded carriage, there were no observable signs of damage.

Resumen
Insulators are one of the many components responsible for the reliability of electricity supply as part of transmission and distribution lines. Failure of the insulator can cause considerable economic problems that are much greater than the insulator cost. When the failure occurs on the transmission line, a large area can be without electricity supply or other transmission lines will be overloaded. Because of the consequences of the insulator’s failure, diagnostics of the insulator plays a significant role in the reliability of the power supply. Basic diagnostic methods require experienced personnel, and inspection requires moving in the field. New diagnostic methods require online measurement if it is possible. Diagnostic by measuring the leakage current flowing on the surface of the insulator is well known. However, many other quantities can be used as a good tool for diagnostics of insulators. We present in this article results obtained on the investigated porcelain insulators that are one of the most used insulation materials for housing the insulator’s core. Leakage current, dielectric loss factor, capacity, and electric charge are used as diagnostic quantities to investigate porcelain insulators in different pollution conditions and different ambient relative humidity. Pollution and humidity are the main factors that decrease the insulator´s electric strength and reliability.

Resumen
Abstract The reliability diagram is a common diagnostic graph used to summarize and evaluate probabilistic forecasts. Its strengths lie in the ease with which it is produced and the transparency of its definition. While visually appealing, major long-noted shortcomings lie in the difficulty of interpreting the graph visually; for the most part, ambiguities arise from variations in the distributions of forecast probabilities and from various binning procedures. A resampling method for assigning consistency bars to the observed frequencies is introduced that allows for immediate visual evaluation as to just how likely the observed relative frequencies are under the assumption that the predicted probabilities are reliable. Further, an alternative presentation of the same information on probability paper eases quantitative evaluation and comparison. Both presentations can easily be employed for any method of binning.

Resumen
To assess the interobserver reliability in distinguishing cervicogenic headache (CEH) from migraine without aura and tension-type headache we conducted a study keeping as closely as possible to daily clinical practice. In contrast to other reliability studies, which use data from clinical patient records or semistructured interviews recorded on videotape ('in vitro' design), we examined ‘live’ patients (‘in vivo’ design). Twenty-four headache patients participated in our ‘in vivo’ design experiment. During a session, each physician performed a physical examination and queried six patients in succession using a semistructured interview. Diagnosis was carried out in accordance with the International Headache Society (IHS) criteria and the criteria from Sjaastad and co-workers. Kappa statistics were used: 0.83 between the expert headache neurologists; 0.74/0.73 between the expert anesthesiologist in (head) pain treatment and both expert neurologists respectively; kappa ranged from 0.43 to 0.62 between the other physicians. The results of our ‘in vivo’ design study show that the reliability in diagnosing CEH, when strictly applying the criteria from Sjaastad and co-workers, is similar to the reliability in diagnosing migraine and tension-type headache according the IHS criteria.

Resumen
Objectives: The purpose of this review was to examine whether studies from the medical literature focusing on efficiency of diagnostic facilities reported economic evaluation methods appropriately, following guidelines for conducting and reporting economic evaluations. Methods: A Medline search was conducted, and studies that concerned a diagnostic technology and fulfilled the Drummond criteria were selected for methodological review. The reliability of selection and methodological review based on the abstracts was determined by scoring a random sample of both abstracts and full articles. lnterrater reliability was determined by scoring a random sample of abstracts by both authors. Kappa values were calculated. Nine methodological aspects were reviewed: study design, the type of economic evaluation, the comparison made, the study's perspective, the cost-effectiveness ratio used, the definition of cost-effective, the types of costs analyzed, the cost calculation method, and the use of sensitivity analysis. Results: Two hundred fifty studies published between 1992 and 1997 were found regarding efficiency of diagnosticfacilities; 134 studiesfulfilled the Drummond criteriaand were selected for methodological review. Kappavalues showed reliability of selection and methodological review and interrater reliability. The existing literatue on the economic evaluation of diagnostic facilities does not adhere well to guidelines for economic evaluation. In 95%, no perspective was mentioned, in 50% of the cases no ratio was given, in 82% the cost calculation method was not mentioned, and in 66% no sensitivity analysis was reported. Conclusions: Our review suggests that to improve the quality of reporting economic evaluations, editorial boards could issue and enforce guidelines for standard reporting of such studies.

Resumen
Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) has been applied to the diagnosis of various digestive disorders. Although it has been widely accepted and its diagnostic value is high, the dependence of EUS diagnosis on image interpretation done by the endosonographer has persisted as an important difficulty. Consequently, high interobserver reliability (IOR) in EUS diagnosis is important to demonstrate the reliability of EUS diagnosis. We reviewed the literature on the IOR of EUS diagnosis for various diseases such as chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic solid/cystic mass, lymphadenopathy, and gastrointestinal and subepithelial lesions. The IOR of EUS diagnosis differs depending on the disease; moreover, EUS findings with high IOR and those with IOR that was not necessarily high were used as diagnostic criteria. Therefore, to further increase the value of EUS diagnosis, EUS diagnostic criteria with high diagnostic characteristics based on EUS findings with high IOR must be established.

"New Caries Diagnostic Tools in Intraoral Scanners: A Comparative In Vitro Study to Established Methods in Permanent and Primary Teeth". Resumen
The aim of this in vitro study was to systematically investigate new caries diagnostic tools, including three intraoral scanners, and compare them to established diagnostic methods. For a standardized analysis of occlusal and proximal caries lesions, human permanent and primary teeth (n = 64) were embedded in models and investigated in a phantom head using six different caries diagnostic methods: visual examination, bitewing radiography, Diagnocam (KaVo, Biberach, Germany), Trios 4 (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark), iTero Element 5D (Align Technology, San José, CA, USA), and Planmeca Emerald S (Planmeca, Helsinki, Finland). The diagnostic methods were investigated and compared to reference µ-CT for permanent and primary teeth separately. For occlusal caries diagnostics in permanent teeth, the best agreement to the reference (reliability) was obtained for Planmeca Emerald S (ĸ = 0.700), whereas in primary teeth, for visual examination (ĸ = 0.927), followed by Trios 4 (ĸ = 0.579). Regarding proximal caries diagnostics, bitewing radiography, as the gold standard, exhibited the highest agreement for permanent (ĸ = 0.643) and primary teeth (ĸ = 0.871). Concerning the analysis of the diagnostic quality (sensitivity and specificity) using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, comparable findings were obtained for area under curve (AUC) values as for reliability. No diagnostic method could be identified that is generally suitable for occlusal and proximal lesions in both dentitions. Overall, caries diagnostics with intraoral scanners seem to be interesting tools that should be further investigated in clinical studies.

Resumen
Background A variety of assessments to determine leg length discrepancy (LLD) is used in clinical practice and evidence about validity and reliability may differ. Objective The objective of this systematic review was to identify and describe the validity and reliability of different assessments and imaging diagnostics for the determination of LLD. Materials and methods The review was conducted following the recommendations of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The databases Medline (PubMed) and Index to Chiropractic Literature were systematically searched. Studies regarding clinical assessments and imaging diagnostics for the diagnosis of LLD, which reported the clinimetric properties for assessment of LLD, were included and screened for methodological quality using the Quality Assessment of Studies of Diagnostic Accuracy (QUADAS-2) tool for validity studies and the Quality Appraisal of Diagnostic Reliability (QAREL) tool for reliability studies. Results Thirty-seven articles on clinical assessments and 15 studies on imaging diagnostics met the eligibility criteria. Thirteen studies on the validity of clinical assessments and six studies on the validity of imaging diagnostics had a low risk of bias and low concerns regarding applicability for all domains. One study on the reliability of clinical assessments and one study on the reliability of imaging diagnostics had a low risk of bias. Main limitations were, that an analysis of sensitivity and specificity was only performed in a few studies and that a valid reference standard was lacking in numerous studies on clinical assessments. Conclusions For the clinical assessment of LLD, the block test appears to be the most useful method. Full-length standing anteroposterior radiography seems to be the most valid and reliable method and may be used as global reference standard to measure the anatomic LLD when comparing clinical methods and imaging diagnostics.

Resumen
Society demands higher education teachers with new professional skills. Satisfying this demand requires socio-cultural and scientific research to discover ways to develop such qualities in student teachers. This article was written as part of the author's doctoral dissertation research: Student teachers’ professional reliability formation. The purpose of this study was to identify the psychological mechanisms of student teachers’ professional reliability training. Methodology. The following research methods were used: psychological testing, expert evaluation and pedagogical experiment. Additional methods included: Method of Identity Diagnostics (Schneider, 2007), Method of Reflexivity Diagnostics (Karpov, 2003), Diagnostic Map of Professional Reliability of Student teachers (Osadchuk, 2007). The study carried out at Omsk State Pedagogical University (Russia) involved 75 students and 4 teachers. The educational experiment was carried out in the natural conditions that were familiar to students, and the natural course of the educational process was not interrupted. Novelty. The author developed and pilot-tested a range of new educational tools to actualize the psychological mechanisms to train professional reliability of student teachers. These tools included different types of unsupervised activities, motivation training, teaching methods, and pedagogical support strategies. Results. The article presents experimental data showing the correlation between indicators of professional reliability, identity, and reflexivity of student teachers. It contains a diagnostic map of professional reliability for student teachers developed by the author, which can serve as one of the tools for monitoring the education quality in teacher training courses. The findings can be used in educational program development, organizational and methodological documentation, as well as educational and extra-curricular activities related to higher teaching education goals and syllabi.
