Resumen
A series of monoazo disperse dyes have been prepared by coupling 2-amino 3-carbethoxy-4,5-dimethylthiophene with various N-arylmaleimides. The monoazo disperse dyes were characterised by IR spectral studies and elemental analysis. These dyes were applied at 2%depth on polyester fabrics and gave light yellow to brown colour hues with fair fastness to light and very good to excellent fastness to washing, rubbing, perspiration and sublimation. The percentage exhaustion of the dyebath and fixation on the fabric were found to be very good.

Resumen
The present study deals with the one-step one-bath dyeing of twill weaved 50/50 cotton/polyester blended fabric using disperse dyes only. The study includes dyeing recipe development, considering the determination of optimum concentrations of dyestuff and auxiliaries, and sufficient pH of dyebath. The proposed method is time consuming and hence can be recommended for industrial testing.

Resumen
A series of monoazo disperse dyes based on 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole was prepared by coupling with various N-arylmaleimides. The dyeing performance of these dyes was assessed on nylon fabric. The dyes were found to give yellow to brown colour shades on dyeing with good depth and levelness on nylon fabric. The dyebath exhaustion fixation and fastness properties of the dyes were also determined. The dyed fabric showed moderate to good light fastness and very good to excellent fastness to washing, rubbing, perspiration and sublimation. The IR and visible range spectral properties of th

Resumen
In this paper the influence of the formic and oxalic acids, as substances for dyebath pH adjusting, on the dyeability of polyester fabric dyed with disperse dye Disperse Yellow 23 was examined. The polyester undyed knitwear samples were dyed in baths containing the acids under the same dyeing conditions. Color differences of the samples were assessed using the reflectiometry technique and expressed in terms of CIELcoordinates. The influence of the tested acids on the surface structure of dyed polyester fibers was examined using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the diff

. This research studied to develop an energy-saving dyeing process for PLA. The disperse dye used was C.I. Disperse Red 167.1. The effect of dispersing agents viz. SLS and the commercial dispersing agent, on the dyeing ability of the dye on PLA was determined. An energy-saving dyeing process was developed as a 2-stage dyeing process. The dyebath was first preheated at 60°C for 10 minutes followed by dyeing at 110°C for shorter times of 10 and 20 minutes when the conventional process was carried out at 110°C for 30 minutes. The results show that the 2-stage dyeing process provides a satisfactor

Resumen
Abstract The influence of using formic, oxalic, citric, tartaric, hydrochloric, nitric, sulphuric and phosphoric acid for dyebath pH adjustment was investigated upon the dyeing of polyester fabric with CI Disperse Yellow 60. The positions of colour in CIELab coordinates of the samples dyed with the addition of tested acids were assessed and compared to those dyed with the addition of acetic acid. It was found that the differences in dyeabilities obtained with the addition of citric, oxalic, hydrochloric, nitric and sulphuric acid are entirely acceptable according to both M&S 83A and CMC (2
