Resumen
KLOE-2 extends the physics program of the forerunner KLOE experiment, especially in the field of discrete symmetries tests with neutral kaons. KLOE and KLOE-2 have collected together the largest sample of electron-positron collisions at an energy equal to the φ-meson mass, corresponding to about 2.4×1010 produced φ mesons. The latest results on neutral kaon physics at KLOE will be reviewed, together with the status and prospects of the analyses of KLOE-2 data. A new measurement of the charge asymmetry in KS semileptonic decays with 1.7 fb−1 of KLOE data, which improves the sensitivity of previous measurements of about a factor two, will be presented. Furthermore, the status of the analysis devoted to directly test T and CPT symmetries in neutral kaons transitions, as well as the search of the pure CP-violating KS → 3π0 decay using part of the recently acquired KLOE-2 dataset, will be presented.

Resumen
Particle identification (PID) plays a key role in heavy-flavor physics in high-energy physics experiments. However, its impact on Higgs physics is still not clear. In this note, we will explore some of the potential of PID to improve the identification of heavy-flavor jets by using identified charged kaons in addition to the traditional vertexing information. This could result in a better measurement of the Higgs-charm Yukawa coupling at the future [Formula: see text] colliders.

Resumen
We present recent measurements of τ decays into final states with kaons, which are based on several hundred million τ+τ- pairs produced in electron-positron annihilation data collected with the BABAR detector. These measurements can be used to determine the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vus| with a tiny systematic error and in two different methods affected by different systematic effects.

Resumen
Forward–backward (charge) asymmetry in the processes of [Formula: see text] annihilation into a pair of charged pseudoscalar mesons is recalculated in the one-loop approximation. The exact dependence on the meson masses is taken into account. Results known in the literature are partially corrected. The bulk of the charge asymmetry appears due to double-photon exchange in [Formula: see text] channel. Experimental studies of the asymmetry can be used to verify the point-like approximation used in calculation of radiative corrections due to emission of photons by pions or kaons.

Resumen
At the DAΦNE electron–positron collider of Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati we study kaonic atoms, taking advantage of the low-energy kaons produced in the Φ-meson decay. The low-energy kaon–nucleon interaction in kaonic hydrogen and kaonic deuterium can be investigated under favorable conditions. The DEAR (DAΦNE Exotic Atom Research) experiment at LNF delivered the most precise data on kaonic hydrogen up to now. DEAR and its follow-up experiment SIDDHARTA (Silicon Drift Detector for Hadronic Atom Research by Timing Application) are using X-ray spectroscopy of kaonic hydrogen and kaonic deuterium atoms to measure the strong interaction-induced shift and width of the ground state. From these quantities the isospin-dependent antikaon–nucleon scattering lengths can be determined, quantities useful for testing the understanding of chiral symmetry breaking in the strangeness sector. Within the SIDDHARTA project new X-ray detectors are being developed. We will use an array of large area silicon drift detectors (SDDs) having excellent energy resolution but also providing a timing capability that will result in a huge suppression of background and so overcome the precision limits of the former experiments.PACS Nos.: 36.10.k, 13.75.Jz, 32.30.Rj and 29.40.Wk

Resumen
The data sample collected in 2011-2013 at the c.m.s. energies between 0.32-2 GeV with the CMD-3 detector operating at the VEPP-2000 e+e− collider is analzed. The collected data corresponds to an integrated luminosity about ∼ 60pb−1. The techniques for determination of the integrated luminosity for each energy setting is described. Some preliminary results of the study of the processes e+e−→ K+ K− + nπ (n = 1,2,3) with two charged kaons in the final state are presented. These processes have several intermediate states, which are important to correctly descript the angular distributions of final particles and the cross sections dependence on the energy.

Resumen
The interaction of antikaons with nucleons and nuclei in the low-energy regime represents an active research field in hadron physics with still many important open questions. The investigation of light kaonic atoms, in which one electron is replaced by a negatively charged kaon, is a unique tool to provide precise information on this interaction; the energy shift and the broadening of the low-lying states of such atoms, induced by the kaon-nucleus hadronic interaction, can be determined with high precision from the atomic X-ray spectroscopy, and this experimental method provides unique information to understand the low energy kaon-nucleus interaction at the production threshold. The lightest atomic systems, like the kaonic hydrogen and the kaonic deuterium deliver, in a model-independent way, the isospin-dependent kaon-nucleon scattering lengths. The most precise kaonic hydrogen measurement to-date, together with an exploratory measurement of kaonic deuterium, were carried out in 2009 by the SIDDHARTA collaboration at the DAΦNE electron-positron collider of LNF-INFN, combining the excellent quality kaon beam delivered by the collider with new experimental techniques, as fast and very precise X-ray detectors, like the Silicon Drift Detectors. The SIDDHARTA results triggered new theoretical work, which achieved major progress in the understanding of the low-energy strong interaction with strangeness reflected by the antikaon-nucleon scattering lengths calculated with the antikaon-proton amplitudes constrained by the SIDDHARTA data. The most important open question is the experimental determination of the hadronic energy shift and width of kaonic deuterium; presently, a major upgrade of the setup, SIDDHARTA-2, is being realized to reach this goal. In this paper, the results obtained in 2009 and the proposed SIDDHARTA-2 upgrades are presented.

Resumen
The interaction of antikaons (K−) with nucleons and nuclei in the low-energy regime represents a very active research field in hadron physics. A unique and rather direct experimental access to the antikaon-nucleon scattering lengths is provided by precision X-ray spectroscopy of transitions in low-lying states in the lightest kaonic atoms (i.e. kaonic hydrogen and deuterium). In the SIDDHARTA experiment at the electron-positron collider DAFNE of LNFINFN we measured the most precise values of the strong interaction observables in conic hydrogen. The strong interaction on the 1s ground state of the electromagnetically bound K-p atom causes an energy shift and broadening of the 1s state. SIDDHARTA will extend the spectroscopy to kaonic deuterium to get access to the antikaon-neutron interaction and thus the isospin dependent scattering lengths. At J-PARC a kaon beam is used in a complementary experiment with a different setup for spectroscopy of kaonic deuterium atoms. The talk will give an overview of the of the upcoming experiments SIDDHARTA and the complementary experiment at J-PARC.Furthermore, the implications of the experiments for the theory of low-energy strong interaction with strangeness will be discussed.

Resumen
Brookhaven National Laboratory AGS Experiment 871 (E871) has carried out a search for the very rare, GIM and helicity suppressed decay of the long-lived neutral kaon into an electron-positron pair. This decay is predicted within the Standard Model to occur with a branching ratio of {dollar}(9.0 \pm 0.4)\times 10\sp{lcub}-12{rcub}.{dollar} Data were taken during the 1995 and 1996 AGS HEP running periods on the B5 beamline. A signal of (4 {dollar}\pm{dollar} 2) {dollar}K\sbsp{lcub}L{rcub}{lcub}0{rcub} \to e\sp+e\sp-{dollar} events is seen with a physics background expectation of 0.2 events. The ratio of the partial decay widths {dollar}\Gamma(K\sbsp{lcub}L{rcub}{lcub}0{rcub} \to e\sp+e\sp-)/\Gamma(K\sbsp{lcub}L{rcub}{lcub}0{rcub}\to\mu\sp+\mu\sp-){dollar} is determined to be {dollar}(1.3\sbsp{lcub}-0.6{rcub}{lcub}+0.8{rcub} \pm 0.2)\times 10\sp{lcub}-3{rcub}.{dollar} Using the Particle Data Group value for the branching fraction of {dollar}K\sbsp{lcub}L{rcub}{lcub}0{rcub}\to\mu\sp+\mu\sp-{dollar} this corresponds to a branching fraction of {dollar}B(K\sbsp{lcub}L{rcub}{lcub}0{rcub}\to e\sp+e\sp-) = (9.4\sbsp{lcub}-4.6{rcub}{lcub}+5.9{rcub}) \times 10\sp{lcub}-12{rcub}.{dollar} This result represents the lowest branching fraction ever measured in particle physics.

Resumen
This dissertation describes the measurement of the decay of the long lived neutral kaon into two muons and two electrons. The measurement was performed using the data taken during experiment E871 which was performed on the B5 beamline at the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) of the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The branching ratio B( K0L → mu+mu-e +e-) is sensitive to the absorptive portion of the long distance amplitude for decays of the form K0L → ℓ+ℓ- and can be used to properly extract the short distance weak interaction amplitudes from the dileptonic events.;Measurement of K0L → mu+mu-e +e- additionally allows for the exploration of the form factor for the K0L → gamma*gamma* vertex. Measurement of the K0L → mu+mu-e +e- branching fraction from the E871 data set provides a sensitive probe to distinguish between form factors arising from a chiral theory near the kaon mass, a low energy quark/QCD theory, a vector meson dominance model, models with CP violation and models which exhibit a uniform phase space.;The analysis of the data from the E871 mumu data stream observed 119 K0L → mu+mu-e +e- events on a measured background of 52 events. The K0L → mu+mu-e +e- event sample was normalized using simultaneously measured sample of 5685 K0L → mu+mu- events. The resulting branching fraction for K0L → mu+mu-e +e- was calculated to be 2.78 +/- 0.41 +/- 0.09 x 10-9 under the assumption of a chiPT form factor. The results are consistent with the world average for B( K0L → mu+mu-e +e-) and increase the total number of K0L → mu+mu-e +e- events observed world wide from 152 to 271.

Resumen
A measurement of the branching fraction for the rare decay K0L → pi+pi-e +e- was performed using data collected from experiment E871 which ran at the AGS of Brookhaven National Laboratory. Analysis of the data revealed 27.7 +/- 7.4 signal events in the signal region, 0.4905 GeV < Mpipiee < 0.505 GeV together with 13.3 +/- 3.7 background events. The branching fractions of ( 8.5+/-2.3stat +/-1.0sys ) x 10-6 using the phenomenological model acceptance and ( 2.3+/-0.6stat +/-0.3sys ) x 10-6 using the chiral perturbation model represent the first measurements for K0L → pi+pi-e +e- in the dipion invariant mass region 0.475 GeV < Mpipi < 0.497 GeV. These results support the prediction of chiral perturbation theory rather than that of the phenomenological model.

Resumen
Experiments E799 Phase-II (E79911) and E832 of the Kaons at the TeVatron (KTeV) project at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) were designed to study rare and CP-violating kaon decays. The experiments ran first during 1996 and 1997, and then again during 1999. This study focused on the E799II search for the lepton-flavor-violating decay mode KL → pi 0mu+/-e∓, and on its accompanying background decays, in the full set of 1996--7 and 1999 KTeV data. For the combined data sets, we calculated a new 90% confidence level branching ratio limit BR(KL → pi 0mu+/-e∓) < 3.37 x 10-10.

Resumen
There are several anomalies within the Standard Model of particle physics that may be explained by means of light new physics. These may be associated with muons, with the gyromagnetic ratio of the muon being different from theory at the level of 3.4σ, and with the 7σ muonic Hydrogen proton radius extraction. Previous, current, and new experiments may be able to place stringent limits on the existence of a new scalar force, with a coupling to leptons proportional to their mass. We investigate the sensitivity to the parameter space of the muon decay experiment Mu3e, the kaon decay experiments NA48/2 and NA62, and the experiments at asymmetric electron-positron colliders, BaBar, Belle, Belle2. Using Monte Carlo techniques to generate events for processes corresponding to each experiment, we find that these experiments could be sensitive to muonic couplings down to 10^−5, and over a wide mass range of 10 MeV − 3.5 GeV, fully covering the parameter space relevant for explanations of these anomalies. The possibility exists to later extend to masses up to 10 GeV.
