<p class="abstract">Antrochoanal polyp is a benign lesion, originating from the mucosa of the maxillary sinus, grow into maxillary sinus, nasal cavity and posteriorly to involve the choana. Nasal obstruction and nasal discharge are their main symptoms. Epistaxis is rare as seen in infected cases. Clinical assessment along with radiology helps in the diagnosis of antrochoanal polyp. We hereby describe a case of infected antrochoanal polyp in a 20-year-old female who presented with unilateral nasal obstruction, nasal discharge and intermittent epistaxis. Complete excision was done through endoscopic approach. On histopathology it showed secondary infection caused by actinomycosis which is extremely rare finding. This might be the first case report of actinomycosis infection in antrochoanal polyp as it was not found previously in any antrochoanal polyp case. Patient was followed till 6 month without any symptom.</p>

Resumen
It is of great significance to recognize the metallurgical entity relations in order to construct the Knowledge graph of Metallurgical Literature and to further understand the metallurgical literature. However, there are few researches on the textual entity relations in metallurgical fields either few marked Corpora. The syntactic structure of the same entity relationship category is relatively simple and has strong domain characteristics. The traditional entity relationship model can not identify the domain entity relationship well. Meanwhile the syntactic structure of the same entity relations class is relatively simple, and the syntactic structure is relatively simple in the recognition of entity relations in metallurgy field. Furthermore, the entities with similar syntactic structure often have the same entity relations and the different words in the sentence have different contribution to the entity relations. In order to solve the mentioned problems, this paper will combine the algorithm that can highlight the syntactic structure in sentences and improve the accuracy of the model with the Algorithm that can highlight the contribution of words in sentences and the loss function level integration is carried out in the framework of small sample prototype network, so as to maximize the advantages of each algorithm and improve the accuracy –firstly, in the coding layer of the prototype network, we use the CNN algorithm which can highlight the important words in the sentences and the TreeLSTM algorithm which can parse the sentences in the text so that the syntactic relations between the words in the sentences can be acted on in the relation recognition, the sentences are coded together by two algorithms, then, the EUCLIDEAN distance loss is calculated by using this high quality coding and the prototype coding, finally, the traditional entity relation recognition model with Attention Mechanism is integrated into the loss function, further highlighting the decisive role of important words in text sentences in relation recognition and improving the generalization of the model. The results showed that compared with the traditional methods such as CNN, RNN, PCNN and Bi-LSTM, the proposed method in this paper has better performance in the case of small sample data set.

Resumen
Extracting information about entities remains an important research area. This paper addresses the problem of corpus-level entity typing, i.e., inferring from a large corpus that an entity is a member of a class, such as "food" or "artist". The application of entity typing we are interested in is knowledge base completion, specifically, to learn which classes an entity is a member of. We propose FIGMENT to tackle this problem. FIGMENT is embedding-based and combines (i) a global model that computes scores based on global information of an entity and (ii) a context model that first evaluates the individual occurrences of an entity and then aggregates the scores. Each of the two proposed models has specific properties. For the global model, learning high-quality entity representations is crucial because it is the only source used for the predictions. Therefore, we introduce representations using the name and contexts of entities on the three levels of entity, word, and character. We show that each level provides complementary information and a multi-level representation performs best. For the context model, we need to use distant supervision since there are no context-level labels available for entities. Distantly supervised labels are noisy and this harms the performance of models. Therefore, we introduce and apply new algorithms for noise mitigation using multi-instance learning. We show the effectiveness of our models on a large entity typing dataset built from Freebase.

<p class="abstract">Castleman’s disease (CD) usually presents as localized or systemic lymphadenopathy or as an extra nodal mass. The usual site of presentation are mediastinum, retroperitoneum, axilla and mesentery. Only 3 cases of CD have been reported in retro pharyngeal space. We report a case of 20 year old male patient with retropharyngeal mass. He presented with difficulty in swallowing, change in voice and respiratory distress. The mass was removed in-toto transorally after performing elective tracheostomy. The histopathological findings were consistent with hyaline vascular type of CD. He was decannulated after two day and postoperative period was uneventful. Postoperative CT imaging confirmed the complete excision of tumor and patient is on follow up, with no signs of recurrence. The presentation of tumour in the retropharyngeal space which is a rare site of occurrence add to the uniqueness of this case. Unicentric CD has an excellent prognosis and surgery is the management of choice. Its clinical features, histological subtypes, treatment modalities and prognosis are discussed.</p>

Resumen
<p class="abstract">Studies of sequelae of isolated medial orbital wall fractures show that the majority of patients with this condition are often asymptomatic, which makes the diagnosis based only on clinical grounds difficult. One of the rare complications of this entity is Pseudo-Duane’s retraction syndrome, which is characterised by horizontal diplopia, restricted abduction with or without limited adduction, accompanied by narrowing of the palpebral fissure, globe retraction and pseudo ptosis on abduction. This is a case report of a 46-year-old female who developed Pseudo-Duane’s retraction syndrome following trauma to her left orbit. She presented with left eye pain, diplopia, horizontal gaze restrictions, left eye ecchymosis and enophthalmos. Careful history taking and thorough ophthalmic examination including forced duction test along with radiological imaging helped clinch this diagnosis. Timely intervention by an endoscopic approach to release the medial rectus muscle entrapped within the fracture resolved the patient’s symptoms.</p>

The aim of this write-up is to report a rare case of schwannoma of nose and PNS. We report a case of 40 year old female, a housewife, presented in ENT OPD with complaints of nasal obstruction on right side, post nasal drip and headache. On diagnostic nasal endoscopy, there was a polypoidal mass coming from the middle meatus which was pushing the medial turbinate medially. NCCT and MRI of nose and PNS showed soft tissue density mass involving right ethmoidal air cells, maxillary sinus and bilateral sphenoid sinuses and eroding the lateral wall of right maxillary sinus reaching upto infratemporal fossa, superiorly mass was seen eroding the inferior wall of right orbit. The tumour was removed endoscopically piecemeal and sent for histopathology which showed it to be a schwannoma. The conclusion of the finding was schwannoma involving nasal cavity, maxillary sinus and sphenoid sinus eroded the lateral wall of maxillary sinus going into infratemporal fossa and floor of the orbit. Schwannoma should also be kept as a possibility in the differential diagnosis of tumors of nose and PNS. </span></p>

Four operations of nominal concretization are crucial for presenting a typology of classifier languages: individualization, classification, relationalization (possession), and referentialization. The first three of these operations are at work in the Hmong classifier system. The development of classifiers is described in connection with the degree of grammaticalization which will be measured by the three parameters of [± exact], [± entity], and cohesion. These parameters will be arranged in a three-dimensional continuum (cf. Fig. II.) which leads to the following evolutional steps of increasing grammaticalization: nouns, class nouns, quantifiers, intrinsic quantifiers (to be defined in the present article), and classifiers.

Resumen
The automatic extraction of disease named entity is a challenging research problem that has attracted attention from the biomedical text mining community. Handcrafted feature methods were employed for this task given a little success since they are limited by the scope of the expert. Lately, deep learning-based methods have been employed to solve this issue. However, most architectures used for this task take into consideration long dependencies only. The proposed method is a two-stage deep neural network model. We start by discovering local dependencies and creating high-level features from word embedding inputs using a deep convolutional neural network. Then we identify long dependencies using a bi-directional recurrent neural network. To solve the problem of unbalanced dataset given by the BMEWO tagging schema and to enforce sequence modeling, we developed a new POS-based tagging schema that subdivides the dominant class into smaller more balanced units. The proposed system was trained and tested on NCBI and achieved an [Formula: see text]-score of 85.59 outperforming the current state-of-the-art methods. Our research results show the effectiveness of using both long and short dependencies. The results also illustrate the benefits of combining different word embedding techniques and the incorporation of morphological features in this task.

Resumen
Software change impact analysis (CIA) is a key technique for identifying unpredicted and potential effects caused by changes made to software. Different changes have different ripple effects to other parts in the program, even some changes do not affect other entities in spite of some dependencies existing between these entities and the modified one. This induces imprecision if such a factor is neglected. This article proposes a static CIA technique which considers the impact rules of different change types to predict the change effects. Input of our CIA includes changed classes, class methods and class fields, and the output is composed of potentially affected classes, class methods, and class fields. Precision improvement of the CIA technique relies on three aspects: change types of a modified entity, dependencies between the modified entity and other entities, and a precise initial impact set (IIS), on which the final impact set (FIS) is computed. Experimental case studies demonstrate the effectiveness of our technique, and present its potential applications in software maintenance.

Resumen
In this work, we formulated the named entity recognition (NER) task as a multi-answer knowledge guided question-answer task (KGQA) and showed that the knowledge guidance helps to achieve state-of-the-art results for 11 of 18 biomedical NER datasets. We prepended five different knowledge contexts—entity types, questions, definitions, and examples—to the input text and trained and tested BERT-based neural models on such input sequences from a combined dataset of the 18 different datasets. This novel formulation of the task (a) improved named entity recognition and illustrated the impact of different knowledge contexts, (b) reduced system confusion by limiting prediction to a single entity-class for each input token (i.e., B , I , O only) compared to multiple entity-classes in traditional NER (i.e., B entity 1, B entity 2, I entity 1, I , O ), (c) made detection of nested entities easier, and (d) enabled the models to jointly learn NER-specific features from a large number of datasets. We performed extensive experiments of this KGQA formulation on the biomedical datasets, and through the experiments, we showed when knowledge improved named entity recognition. We analyzed the effect of the task formulation, the impact of the different knowledge contexts, the multi-task aspect of the generic format, and the generalization ability of KGQA. We also probed the model to better understand the key contributors for these improvements.

Resumen
In Natural Language Processing (NLP), Named Recognition Entity (NER) is a sub-discussion widely used for research. The NER’s main task is to help identify and detect the entity-named in the sentence, such as personal names, locations, organizations, and many other entities. In this paper, we present a Location NER system for Balinese texts using a rule-based approach. NER in the Balinese document is an essential and challenging task because there is no research on this. The rule-based approach using human-made rules to extract entity name is one of the most famous ways to extract entity names as well as machine learning. The system aims to identify proper names in the corpus and classify them into locations class. Precision, recall, and F-measure used for the evaluation. Our results show that our proposed model is trustworthy enough, having average recall, precision, and f-measure values for the specific location entity, respectively, 0.935, 0.936, and 0.92. These results prove that our system is capable of recognizing named-entities of Balinese texts.

Resumen
The problem of identifying relevant classes (entities) and associations (relationships) is a fundamental problem for conceptual modeling. In a previous work the authors introduced a conceptual modeling methodology named OMP (Ontology-based Modeling Patterns), which is based on the analysis of class categories representing entity types that are organized in the form of ontology. Since then the authors have explored a way to improve the methodology. As a result, in this paper the authors introduce a new conceptual modeling framework, entitled CAM (Class/Association-analysis-based Modeling), which is based on the analysis and classification of association types as well as entity types. The main objective of CAM is to serve as a tool to facilitate teaching the fundamentals of conceptual modeling to students in a systematic way, by providing extensible and adaptable entity/association classificatory systems that can be directly used in the problem-solving process. In this paper the authors present the CAM framework and illustrate its application.

Resumen
<p class="Abstract">A trace of an entity is a behavior trajectory of the entity. Periodicity is a frequent phenomenon for the traces of an entity. Finding periodic traces for an entity is essential to understanding the entity behaviors. However, mining periodic traces is of complexity procedure, involving the unfixed period of a trace, the existence of multiple periodic traces, the large-scale events of an entity and the complexity of the model to represent all the events. However, the existing methods can’t offer the desirable efficiency for periodic traces mining. In this paper, Firstly, a graph model(an event relationship graph) is adopted to represent all the events about an entity, then a novel and efficient algorithm, TracesMining, is proposed to mine all the periodic traces. In our algorithm, firstly, the cluster analysis method is adopted according to the similarity of the activity attribute of an event and each cluster gets a different label, and secondly a novel method is proposed to mine all the Star patterns from the event relationship graph. Finally, an efficient method is proposed to merge all the Stars to get all the periodic traces. High efficiency is achieved by our algorithm through deviating from the existing edge-by-edge pattern-growth framework and reducing the heavy cost of the calculation of the support of a pattern and avoiding the production of lots of redundant patterns. In addition, our algorithm could mine all the large periodic traces and most small periodic traces. Extensive experimental studies on synthetic data sets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.</p>

<p class="abstract">External auditory canal cholesteatoma (EACC) is a rare disease. EACC presents with chronic dull aching pain with normal hearing. It is diagnosed by clinical examination and radiological investigation. Due to its rarity it is important to differentiate it from other external ear conditions. We prospectively analysed four cases of cholesteatoma of the external auditory canal in a period of 18 months. All of our patients underwent surgery. In three cases, the cholesteatoma was restricted to the external auditory canal, while in one case it was extending into the antrum. A proper clinical examination with radiological investigations will be helpful in the diagnosis and for proper management of the disease.</p>

Resumen
This article tries to explain our rule-based Arabic Named Entity recognition (NER) and classification system. It is based on lists of classified proper names (PN) and particularly on syntactico-semantic patterns resulting in fine classification of Arabic NE. These patterns use syntactico-semantic combination of morpho-syntactic and syntactic entities. It also uses lexical classification of trigger words and NE extensions. These linguistic data are essential not only to name entity extraction but also to the taxonomic classification and to determining the NE frontiers. Our method is also based on the contextualisation and on the notion of NE class attributes and values. Inspired from X-bar theory and immediate constituents, we built a rule-based NER system composed of five levels of syntactico-semantic combination. We also show how the fine NE annotations in our system output (XML database) is exploited in information retrieval and information extraction.

While Southeast Asia revolves around its cities, scholarship spins off into disciplines that ignore this fact. In a region that has known cities for two millennia, where even remote peoples have shaped themselves to or against urban rule, research goes on as if the city were an alien entity, easily factored out and best forgotten. So village studies represent these city-centred nations, and few wonder if the entrepreneurs and middle class who now explain so much might themselves be explained as urban. Our disciplines divide so deeply that no one addresses how the city organizes society and shapes the region.

Resumen
Background. Three hypotheses have been proposed in regard to the origin of cycloid psychoses: (1) they are an independent nosological entity; (2) they are atypical cases of affective disorders; and (3) they are a heterogeneous group of disorders. This study examined the heterogeneity hypothesis by attempting to delineate distinct affective and non-affective subgroups.Methods. In 60 cases drawn from a classic study of cycloid psychoses by Perris (1974), latent class analysis was used to delineate subgroups.Results. Two classes were identified in the analysis: one characterized by the convergence of affective symptoms and family history of affective disorders and the other by the relative paucity of such features.Conclusions. Cycloid psychoses are composed of at least two subgroups, distinguishable on the basis of symptoms and family history.

Resumen
AbstractThis paper addresses the use of noun-class markers in Tagbana from the perspective of a cognitively-inspired approach based on Langacker’s (2000. Grammar and conceptualization. Berlin & New York: Mouton de Gruyter) semiological principle. Drawing on this basic tenet of Cognitive Grammar according to which the symbolic function of language consists in making speakers’ conceptualizations auditorily or visually perceptible, it demonstrates that in syntactic constructions composed of ‘noun-stem+noun-class marker’ and ‘noun-class marker+identifier’, noun-class markers fulfil the semantic function of making explicit the way the speaker conceives of the experiential entity referred to in the utterance. This view goes beyond form-centred functions such as referent-tracking to include the signifying of complex conceptualizations involving more than one noun-class marker with the same noun-stem, as well as the discourse functions of indicating topicality, insistence on a referent’s existence and contrastive focus.

Resumen
The Web has become a huge and indispensable source of information to be used and shared globally, where knowledge is commonly represented and stored in RDF, or alternatively, in conceptual graphs. Managing and searching for web information have gone beyond the relational database model, as the data are semi-structured and inexact answers are often the case. Usually, approximate searching results are due to mismatching between entity types and names in a query and an answer. Firstly, this research work focuses on partial subsumption of a query graph to an answer graph, which is an unsymmetric measure in contrast to similarity. Secondly, it proposes a population-based method for defining subsumption degrees between entity types, one to another, and a class-sensitive soft TF-IDF method for entity names. Lastly, on the one hand, for a user-friendly interface and easily readable query expressions, conceptual graphs are employed at the front-end. On the other hand, in order to take the advantage of the existing platform of SeRQL, an exact RDF query language, the query modification tactic is used to retrieve the knowledge graphs that are close to a query graph, before the subsumption degrees of the query graph to those answer graphs are calculated.
