Abstract Jerome Rothenberg’s poetry brings together a group of major—seemingly disparate—topics: the Holocaust; ecological crisis; Yiddish culture; and what he terms ethnopoetics, a poetic primitivism centered largely on the culture of Indigenous Americans.
