Pregnancy diagnosis by transrectal ultrasonography (using a 5 MHZ linear probe) presented the maximum sensitivity and negative predictive values at day 26 and day 29 after estrus in heifers and cows, respectively. Resumen

El mielomeningocele (MMC) és una malformació congènita caracteritzada per l'extrusió de la medul·la com a conseqüència d'una falta de fusió d'arcs vertebrals que dóna lloc a una lesió neurològica. El pronòstic motor dels nadons afectes de MMC s’estableix després del naixement amb la determinació del nivell neurològic mitjançant l’exploració dels moviments de les extremitats inferiors. Proposem que, d’una manera similar a l’exploració postnatal, l’avaluació ecogràfica sistemàtica dels moviments de les extremitats inferiors en fetus amb MMC podria ser realitzada per explorar el nivell neurològic
