A new method of “dating” language changes was proposed in the 1950s by Morris Swadesh (1952, 1955), who examined changes in the basic vocabulary of a language and postulated that the 1000-year retention rate represents 86% of the vocabulary; in other words, 14 words from a 100-word list must be replaced. An attempt to calculate the split between Goidelic and Brittonic based on this approach was made in Greene (1964) and later in a fundamental study by Elsie (1979) containing, unfortunately, some inaccuracies. Using a lexicostatistic method, glottochronology, for determining the divergence of Dineh languages, a reassessment of a number of archaeological and anthropological papers, and an appraisal of the genetic affinities among speakers of different language phyla, a good case can be made for a very early entry of the Apachean Dineh into the Greater Southwest. The article is introduced by a survey and discussion of previous models of classification of the Samoyedic languages. The main part is devoted to a new model of classification, based on the application of so-called recalibrated glottochronology, including a fulldocumentation of wordlists with etymological remarks, statistics and sources. Finally, the present result is compared with previous models. This article follows the study by Blažek 2012, thus completing the Uralic language family.

Resumen
The prime objective of this study is to explore the degree of similarities between Sanskrit and Persian words using glottochronological approach. In doing so a representative sample of 200 basic words were taken from English followed by listing their equivalents in Sanskrit and Persian. The findings revealed only 18 words as cognates (with full or partial phonological similarity) between Sanskrit and Persian words. Furthermore, the study also revealed that these two languages had belonged to one common parent language about 4179 years ago.

Resumen
Abstract The evolution of the vocabulary of a language is characterized by two different random processes, abrupt lexical replacements, when a complete new word emerges to represent a given concept (which is at the basis of the Swadesh foundation of glottochronology in the 1950s) and gradual lexical modifications that progressively alter words over the centuries, considered here in detail for the first time. The main discriminant between these two processes is their impact on cognacy within a family of languages or dialects, since the former modifies the subsets of cognate terms and the latter

Introduction: Ancient DNA (aDNA)studies can support hypotheses regarding ancient populations; molecular studies can analyze the local population’s genetic composition, minimizing biases introduced by later migrations, demographic expansions, mutations, and bottleneck effects. These analyses must be performed with special care because of the low DNA concentrations and contamination risk; therefore, it is necessary to establish protocols to guarantee the reproducibility and veracity of results. Objective: The present study aims to establish a protocol to obtain ancient DNA from 16 pre-Columbian

At this stage of archaeological and anthropological research, a consensus of opinions has developed regarding the course of the historical process in the Black Sea steppes in the Bronze Age. Thanks to this, it has become possible not only to determine the origin and genetic relationships of individual archaeological cultures, but also to resolve the problem of the ethnolinguistic affiliation of the bearers of these cultures. The purpose of the research is a comprehensive analysis of the available data of linguistics, glottochronology, mythology, archeology, anthropology and paleogenetics in or
