Many people when they hear the word mission, immediately think of a difficult, heavy and complicated job, because mission means having to go to someone else's country. In terms of mission and mission it doesn't have to be like that. Mission and mission means going to do something, in this case proclaiming that Jesus is Lord and the savior sent by God to mankind. For this mission, a strategy is needed and an effective and efficient strategy is to serve non-theological students to know and believe in Jesus and then develop it. Resumen
This study investigates what professional caregivers working in nursing homes consider to be a good life for residents suffering from dementia. Ten caregivers were interviewed; special attention was paid to the way in which they deal with conflicting values. Transcripts of the interviews were analysed qualitatively according to the method of grounded theory. The results were compared with those from a similar, earlier study on ideals found in mission statements of nursing homes. The concepts that were mentioned by most interviewed participants as important for a good life were ‘peace and quiet

The purpose of the study was to identify the gender differentials in psychological problems experienced by residents of homes for the aged in Nigeria as well as the strategies for reducing the problems. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. The design was descriptive, involving 235 residents of mission and government-managed homes for the Old selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected through a 108 item research-developed questionnaire organized in four sections. Mean ratings were used in answering the research questions, while t-test statistic was used

Abstract Detection of black holes (BHs) with detached luminous companions (LCs) can be instrumental in connecting the BH properties with their progenitors since the latter can be inferred from the observable properties of the LC. Past studies showed the promise of Gaia astrometry in detecting BH–LC binaries. We build on these studies by (1) initializing the zero-age binary properties based on realistic, metallicity-dependent star formation history in the Milky Way (MW); (2) evolving these binaries to current epoch to generate realistic MW populations of BH–LC binaries; (3) distributing these b

Introduction: Analysis of African Adventist theology of mission in the 21st century highlights theological African Adventist issues of concern. As an Adventist researcher, one is challenged by the growing anticipations and expectations that arise or are questioned in certain areas and sectors, including doctrinal issues in some grey areas. This research article probes those challenges that may be tabled by higher organizations or are just difficult to handle. Problem: Analysis of African Adventist Theology of Mission in the 21st Century presents problematic, unresolved doctrinal issues and tea

The field of smart homes has gained notable attention from both academia and industry. The majority of the work has been directed at regular users, and less attention has been placed on users with special needs, particularly those with mobility problems or quadriplegia. Brain computer interface has started the mission of helping people with special needs in smart homes by developing an environment that allows them to make more independent decisions. This study investigates the efforts made in the literature for smart homes that have been established to manage and control home components by dis

An increasingly intensive activity has been noticed recently at the international level with regard to the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and associated resolutions. More and more international events regarding women, peace and security are being organised every year, education and training programmes as well as a conceptual framework of the gender perspective are being developed, and system solutions in both international organisations and national structures are being put forward. One of such solutions is the appointment of ambassadors for women, peace and

Abstract Multiple private companies are building suborbital reusable launch vehicles possessing vastly different designs. Many of these companies originally focused on space tourism; however, revolutionary applications for scientific and engineering research as well as technology demonstrations and instrument development are emerging. The dramatic reduction in cost over traditional launch systems as well as a guaranteed (and rapid) safe payload return enable many new launch vehicle applications. These new capabilities will essentially move the laboratory environment up to the edge of space. To

The journey of the Wycliffe Global Alliance (WGA) is an example of how some paradigm shifts are influencing leading in mission. Since Christianity is both an agent and product of globalization, its beliefs have spread from one source to another, crossing religious, linguistic and cultural contexts. As a result, there are polycentric or multiple centres of influence since Christianity has homes within a diversity of contexts. This carries with it various implications including how partnering in mission needs to be deconceptualized through greater emphasis on friendship. In order for this to hap

This article addresses the scanning path plan strategy of a rover team composed of three rovers, such that the team explores unknown dark outer space environments. This research considers a dark outer space, where a rover needs to turn on its light and camera simultaneously to measure a limited space in front of the rover. The rover team is deployed from a symmetric base station, and the rover team’s mission is to scan a bounded obstacle-rich workspace, such that there exists no remaining detection hole. In the team, only one rover, the hauler, can locate itself utilizing stereo cameras and In
