<p class="jkshead1">ABSTRACT</p>West Java province is the most contributors of women trafficking cases in Indonesia. Women trafficking threaten women in all age group, including young women. However, little is known young women’s perspectives of women trafficking especially in West Java region. The aim of this study was to determine young women’s perspectives of the impact of trafficking, and their actions to prevent it. This was a descriptive quantitative study. This study involved 361 young women ages 15-17 who chosen using the stratified random sampling technique. Respondents filled up questionnaire. Data were analysed using distribution of frequency. The study revealed that 65% of young women perceived that trafficking had negative impact to their health, and 71 % of them were also of the view that individual prevention was necessary. However, only 30 % of them perceived the importance of social support actions to prevent women trafficking. This study conclude that young women had different perceptions about impact of trafficking and actions to prevent it. There is a need of effective strategies to improve social support for preventing women’s trafficking. Enhancing women’s awareness, perceptions, and knowledge of human trafficking especially in West Java is also necessary.

Human trafficking is currently a global issue. The reasons for conducting human trafficking include the low level of society knowledge and of skill abilities, the poverty, the limited available jobs, the high level of jobless people, and the weakness of law protection. The victims of human trafficking are mostly children (people under 18 year old) and women from poor families. They have to forcibly leave their safe hometown to work in dangerous working places. Most of them have been sexually exploited and trafficked for domestic work and receive unreasonable small payment. Their boss horribly treated them inhumanly. Trafficking is done by agents or sponsors: they work with worker recruiters/intermediaries particularly in villages. There have been a lot of efforts from governmental and non government institution to eliminate the human trafficking. But, the question is whether Indonesia has prioritized education and programs for the improvement of life skill in order to develop the quality of human resources to be able to eventually prevent human trafficking in Indonesia.

The issue of human trafficking is increasing in every year and victims are mostly women and children. After 11 years of law endorsement, Act No. 21 in 2007 on the eradication of trafficking crime, the rate of human trafficking has actually increased in Indonesia and across the world.
The purpose of this research is to establish a model of Womens trafficking prevention based on economic empowerment.
Quantitative was collected by distributed questionnaires to 250 participants about community knowledge of trafficking. Qualitative was collected by indept interview to a male traffickers, 2 government officials, 10 community members, and 1 victim. We use percentage analysis to know about knowlegde trafficking. Qualitative approach to demonstrate how to prevent women’s trafficking.
We find many communities do not understand about human trafficking. Their knowledge of human trafficking is lacking. The governments program to empower women is not specific to prevent human trafficking. We design model of economic empowerment to prevent women’s trafficking.

Trafficking was initially associated with prostitution but, infact, it includes some other exploitations and slavery. Human trafficking keeps growing and its farm and complexity are changing from time to time_the only persistent thing is its characteristic of human exploitation. It is illegal activity and is against human rights: it is against the rights of its victims, which include women, children and worker. Trafficking is vulnerable to the emergence of violence against human beings, unwanted pregnancy, and sexually transmitted (STD) and infectious diseases. The networks of trafficking are currently well organized and, therefore, it demands a more serious and global attention to deal with the issue. Each country, including Indonesia, has to rethink about its system of law to be able to prosecute the traffickers and help the victims, both materially and immaterially. Some countries have ratified and implemented the anti-trafficking law. In Indonesia, however, the law is presently neither ratified nor implemented yet. The government of Indonesia, nonetheless, proclaimed the national action plan for the elimination of trafficking in women and children and made RUU (draft of laws) on anti, trafficking. So many women and children in Indonesia are waiting for the law that liberates them from any violence or exploitation and enables them to enjoy freedom of life. This draft, therefore, has to be immediately ratified.

This study investigates and analyzes various phenomena related to transnational trafficking of women in Entikong Sub-District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan, from the recruitment of the departure abroad to various human rights violations experienced by Indonesian women. The qualitative analysis method is used in this study. In general, trafficking of women in the Indonesia-Malaysia border regions is a phenomenon that arises due to the lack of legal protection, both while the victims are still in Indonesia and after they arrive abroad. This phenomenon has a negative impact on ensuring legal protection for women and the impact on the emergence of human rights violations (torture, harassment, exploitation, intimidation, rape, confinement, and forced sexual intercourse.).

The large potential for transnational crime in Indonesia is a problem that needs to be addressed. In this case it is a problem of human trafficking, these problems are very complex and complicated to solve. This trafficking is usually aimed at children and women. There are so many modes used by these perpetrators, one of them is through sending illegal Indonesian Workers. The government began to move specifically in the field of immigration in carrying out efforts to combat human trafficking in violation of human rights, because immigration is the front guard in examining people who leave or enter Indonesian territory. Selective policy helps immigration parties in the Immigration Examination Site in selecting foreigners who enter the territory of Indonesia. And immigration also supervises the sending of Indonesian Workers abroad. This supervision is intended to avoid sendingillegal Indonesian Workers.

Marriage for some people is a sacred thing: it is a part of the important forms of worship of God. The sacredness, nevertheless, to some extent disappears when the marriage mainly becomes a trap that concludes with prostitution and slavery. This article examines mail-order bride as a form of human trafficking. Women in this kind of trafficking are primarily trafficked for prostitution industries. The mail,order bride arrangements occur in Indonesia and, also, in many countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, and Malaysia. This form of trafficking is more difficult to deal with because of its hidden schema: marriage is commonly considered an individual privacy wherein outsiders cannot easily interfere.

The news about human trafficking especially children in Indonesia is increasing both domestically and across borders. The crime also includes in the form of labor smuggling, immigrant smuggling, slave trade, women and children. One of the most serious and very complex issues is the impact it has on and directly related to the child’s fate. In 2016, the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection reported, there were 943 victims of human trafficking reported in 65 the media. Separately, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission officially identifies 307 child trafficking victims. It remains unclear whether these two processes lead to an investigation or provision of protection to victims. This research uses normative research method to find out the prevention of child trafficking crime and form of legal renewal about child trafficking. This study states that the prevention of child trafficking victims is by prevention, prosecution to traffickers, and protection measures against victims. In addition, there needs to be a renewal of criminal law which should also focus on the protection of victims of trafficking in persons so as to provide opportunities for victims to gain their rights.

This paper discusses the corporate crime of human trafficking. The background used is the assessment that classifies Indonesia in third place for the handling of human trafficking by the international community. The word “Hero Exchange” may often be heard, they are the workers from Indonesia who often become victims of Human Trafficking, victims sometimes traded not only for the purpose of prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation, but also includes other forms of exploitation, such as forced labor or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery. Various government policies are made concerning the protection of women and children, basically made relatively comprehensive policies, ranging from Basic Act 1945 and the rules below. However many government policies in tackling this problem is not followed by real action in the field and it can be concluded, the legal protection of women and children victims of human trafficking is still felt less effective. This is evident from the very rarity of severe criminal imposed by the judge against traffickers. The absence of compensation in the form of sanctions against traffickers also add to the sense of injustice padakorban trafficking who have suffered both physically, mentally, and economically.

Laws are the norms that govern all human actions that can be done and should not be carried out both written and unwritten and have sanctions, so that the entry into force of these rules can be forced or coercive and binding for all the people of Indonesia. The most obvious form of manifestation of legal sanctions appear in criminal law. In criminal law there are various forms of crimes and violations, one of the crimes listed in the criminal law, namely the crime of Human Trafficking is often perpetrated against women and children. Human Trafficking is any act of trafficking offenders that contains one or more acts, the recruitment, transportation between regions and countries, alienation, departure, reception. With the threat of the use of verbal and physical abuse, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of a position of vulnerability, example when a person has no other choice, isolated, drug dependence, forest traps, and others, giving or receiving of payments or benefits women and children used for the purpose of prostitution and sexual exploitation. These crimes often involving women and children into slavery. Trafficking in persons is a modern form of human slavery and is one of the worst forms of violation of human dignity (Public Company Act No. 21 of 2007, on the Eradication of Trafficking in Persons). Crime human trafficking crime has been agreed by the international community as a form of human rights violation.

The main factor in this crime is an economic factor as a big reason for someone to commit such human trafficking. Therefore, parents, the environmental community, and the government have a very important role in overcoming the process and eradicating criminal acts of trafficking in Kota Medan. The process of human trafficking can be prevented by getting closer to the creator and doing positive things in the community. There is the existence of law Number 21 of 2007 concerning Eradication of Human Trafficking as a means of protection from the government for acts of trade of people. <p><em>West Kalimantan Province, as one of provinces in Indonesia which has specific geographical condition is bordering with East Malaysia through official Cross-Border Post between Entikong and Tebedu, Badau and Lubuk Antu, Aruk and Biawak, and no less than fifty path ways (not official) can be passed to get in and get out to and from East Malaysia region. This geographical encouraged trafficking improvement to abroad with various modes. In fact, trafficking was affected by many factors, including stigma, poverty, lack of education, family resilience, and other factors, where women and children are the victim. The aim of this research to reveal how is the legal protection for the victim. Although there were many studies had been done about it, but the focus of this research is the obstacles face to give legal protection for the victims of trafficking in West Kalimantan border, where the top of the problem is victims role, sometimes they don’t realize that they are the victims, so legal protection effort as stipulated in Trafficking Rules was not optimal. Through socio-legal research found an interesting thing, the lack of victim realized they were victims who have to get legal protection, so complicated a legal assistant for legal effort. Human trafficking is a grave threat to human rights. Statistic shows that yearly almost thousands of men, women and children grieve in the hand of traffickers as human trafficking victim, in their own countries or abroad. Thus, there is a need for Malaysia to take the necessary step to combat human trafficking and at the same time to provide effective protection for victims of trafficking as enacted under the Malaysian Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 (ATIPSOM 2007). The first part of this research examines the international law standards on human rights protection of the victim of human trafficking while the second part analyses any legal and policy measures adopted within the Malaysian context. In this analysis, attention will be made on numerous protection mechanisms such as provision for a shelter, or a place of refuge, appointment of Protection Officers, medical treatment, right to work and safe repatriation. This research further examines and assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of the current measures and laws especially in terms of their enforcement by the relevant enforcement bodies. Analysis on the existing legal framework within other ASEAN States, including Indonesia, is also done so as to provide relevant best practices for consideration and adoption by the Malaysian government. In conclusion, this research provides a number of solutions to address the problems and challenges within the existing legal framework in Malaysia with the ultimate aim at providing better protection for the victims of human trafficking.

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the legal protection of Indonesian citizens working abroad from the perspective of domestic law and international law. The research method used is descriptive research methods and qualitative analysis techniques. The results obtained from this study indicates that human trafficking is a growing human rights problem in the international community, with a focus on prostitution involving women and children. Over time, changing times and increasing demand, human trafficking is no longer only in the field of prostitution, but also used in the form of forced labor, slavery, and the sale of organs. To regulate the protection of migrant workers, the United Nations General Assembly passed Case No. 45/158 in New York on December 18, 1990 which became the legal umbrella by issuing it. International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. The problem of migrant workers working abroad is currently a special concern of the Indonesian government as a guarantee that the state's goal is to protect the entire nation carried out. Protection in the form of a legal norm from Indonesia and legal entities abroad is an important factor to support the protection of migrant workers. With the direction of international and national law, Indonesian goverments puts out every effort to carry out legal protection optimally.

Human trafficking is a special criminal act that has been going on for a long time and is very difficult to eradicate. Medan City is one of the biggest cities in Indonesia which is one of the cities contributing to the exploitation of women and children, due to population growth that is far more dominant by women compared to men. This type of research is a normative juridical descriptive nature. Forms of legal protection for victims of trafficking of women and children are direct and indirect. It can directly be in the form of compensation in the form of restitution and compensation, and providing protection in the rights of other victims, such as giving a new identity, granting physical and psychological rehabilitation, and so forth. Indirect protection is the pouring of rules regarding trafficking for potential victims with the threat of criminal confinement and fines. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perlindungan hukum bagi tenaga kerja WNI yang bekerja di luar negeri perspektif hukum nasional dan hukum internasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian hukum normatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan kasus, norma-norma hukum/kaidah-kaidah yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan hukum yang dibahas, dilengkapi dengan kasus-kasus yang terjadi saat ini. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah perdagangan manusia merupakan isu Hak Asasi Manusia dalam masyarakat intemasional yang berkembang dengan fokus permasalahan prostitusi yang melibatkan perempuan dan anak-anak, seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, perkembangan jaman serta meningkatnya permintaan, perdagangan manusia tidak lagi berpusat dalam bidang prostitusi, tetapi juga digunakan dalam bentuk praktek-praktek kerja paksa, perbudakan serta penjualan/pemindahan organ-organ tubuh. Dalam upaya mengatur perlindungan buruh migran, majelis umum PBB melalui Resolusi No. 45/158 di New York pada 18 Desember 1990 membuat payung hukum dengan mengeluarkan International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. Dalam upaya pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap tenaga kerja migran, PBB melalui International Labour Organization (ILO) mengeluarkan konvensi-konvensi yang berkaitan dengan perlindungan buruh migran. Upaya menanggulangi maraknya kasus perdagangan manusia yang tak lepas kaitannya dalam upaya perlindungan buruh migran Indonesia berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children dan menerbitkan Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2007 tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang (UU PTPPO).
The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the legal protection of Indonesian citizens working abroad from the perspective of national and international law. The research method used is a normative legal research method, using legal approaches and case approaches based on laws and regulations, norms of law / rules relating to legal issues discussed, are equipped with cases which is happening now.The results obtained from this research, human trafficking is a Human Rights issue in the evolving international community with the focus of prostitution issues involving women and children, as time goes on, the times of development and increased demand, human trafficking is no longer centered in the field prostitution, but also used in the form of forced labor, slavery and sale /removal of organs. In an effort to protect the protection of foreign workers, the UN General Assembly through Resolution No. 45/158 in New York on 18 December 1990 made a legal umbrella by issuing the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. In an effort to implement legal protection against foreign workforce, the United Nations through the International Labor Organization (ILO) issues conventions related to the protection of foreign workers. The efforts address the widespread human trafficking case in Indonesian migrant workers' protection is committed to implementing Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children and to issue Law Number 21 Year 2007 on the Eradication of Trafficking in Persons.

This article describes and analyzes human trafficking in East Nusa Tenggara Province
(NTT) based on the news/data exposed by two local newspapers, Pos Kupang and
Flores Pos, during the past four years (2010-2013). Employing media analysis
(content analysis), the exploration of various news items on human trafficking in the
two newspapers shows a significant increase in the number of cases in the province.
Victims are mostly poor, of different ages but mainly women and children. Many
agents played an important role and have employed various modes for recruiting
victims. The main root of human trafficking in NTT is the system which allows the
agents/actors of recruitment of migrant workers (PJTKI) to operate illegally in the
province; individuals are victims of this system of recruitment. This study recommends
that there should be a significant change in the system of recruitment and control
in the NTT province in particular, and in Indonesia in general, to prevent and
overcome the problem of human trafficking along with other efforts to empower the
local people economically, socially and culturally by enhancing their knowledge, skills
and mentality so that they are able to defend their own rights when being victimized
by recruiters, whether individual agents or recruiting companies.

Keputusan Menteri tersebut mengamanatkan pembentukkan Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu (PPT) di tingkat provinsi dan kabupaten serta unit ini terdiri dari pemerintah dan masyarakat sipil. Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic regions in the world. It is experiencing rapid socioeconomic change that may influence the level of sexual aggression, but data on the scale of sexual aggression in the region remain sparse. The aim of the present article was to systematically review the findings of studies available in English on the prevalence of self-reported sexual aggression and victimization among women and men above the age of 12 years in the 11 countries of Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam). Based on four scientific databases, the search engine Google, Opengrey database, and reference checking, 49 studies were found on sexual victimization. Of those, 32 included only women. Self-reported perpetration was assessed by only three studies and included all-male samples. Prevalence rates varied widely across studies but showed that sexual victimization was widespread among different social groups, irrespective of sex and sexual orientation. Methodological heterogeneity, lack of representativeness of samples, imbalance of information available by country, missing information within studies, and cultural differences hampered the comparability between and within countries. There is a need for operationalizations that specifically address sexual aggression occurring after the age of consent, based on detailed behavioral descriptions of unwanted sexual experiences and allied to a qualitative approach with cultural sensitivity. Data on sexual aggression in conflict settings and in human trafficking are also limited. Recommendations for future research are presented in the discussion.

Children are the next generation of the nation's future ideals asset as human resources for future national development, but today there are so many children who got violence in their lives. This research aims to analyzes the responsibilities of the government and contribution of Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak related to the provision of protection against acts of violence. this research is normative legal research by conducting a study of rules, doctrines, and also legal principles. Secondary data collection was carried out using the library study method with various legal materials analyzed descriptively by the method of the statute and conceptual approach. This research shows that the government has provided legal protection for rights related to violence in the form of legal products in the form of Undang-Undang No.39 Tahun 1999 tentang Hak Asasi Manusia and Undang-Undang No 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perlindungan Anak. In addition to through legal products, the government also provides protection to children through the Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia land Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia Daerah and Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak as a service center that empowers women and children in various fields such as development, providing protection for women and children against various forms of discrimination, trafficking in persons, and acts of violence.

So that women in Indonesiaas a weak group must receive protection. Based on the background of the problemoutlined above, there are several important issues to be discussed further. The problemsare as follows: How is multicomplex legal protection for women as victims of violenceand discrimination, What are the obstacles faced in providing legal protection againstwomen as victims of violence and discrimination. Legal Use Theory. This type ofresearch used in this research is normative legal research which is a scientific researchprocedure to find the truth based on legal scientific logic from the normative side.Violence against women is any action that violates, inhibits, negates the enjoyment andneglect of women's human rights. Based on Komnas Perempuan data, the number ofreported cases of sexual violence in 2017 increased by 74% from 2016. Even in 2019cases of violence against women increased by 14% with a number of 406,178 cases. Theneed for guarantees of protection for women comes along with the awareness to providespecial protection because of the many problems faced by women such as physical andpsychological violence, discrimination, underdevelopment in various fields, and so on.Legal protection for women as victims of violence and discrimination is currentlyregulated in Indonesian law, namely the Criminal Code, Law Number 23 of 2004concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, Law Number 21 of 2007 concerningEradication Criminal Acts on Trafficking in Persons, Law Number 39 Year 1999Concerning Human Rights, Presidential Instruction Number 9 Year 2000 concerning Gender Mainstreaming (PUG), Presidential Decree Number 181 Year 1998 concerningthe Formation of the National Commission on Violence against Women or KomnasPerempuan, which was amended by Perpres Number 65 of 2005. Besides that, severalother forms of direct efforts made in providing legal protection for women are throughexisting institutions such as, Integrated Service Centers, and Legal Aid Institutions.There are several obstacles encountered in implementing legal protection againstwomen victims of violence and disks elimination which is caused by several factorsincluding, the substance of the law, law enforcement, culture, facilities and facilities. Forthis reason, there needs to be a number of improvements to a number of components thataffect law enforcement for violence experienced by women, both from human resourceslaw enforcement officers, the establishment of legislation that specifically regulateswomen, and maximizes a number of facilities related to the interests of victims of violenceso that implementation in providing legal protection to women can be properlyaccommodated.

Human trafficking is a serious Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) faced by countries globally, including Indonesia and its neighbor, Malaysia. Both countries are categorized as tier 2 in the Palermo Protocol watchlist for their ineffective implementation of national laws and regulations to prevent or stop human trafficking. While Indonesia becomes the source country for human trafficking, Malaysia is the receiving country with the most Indonesian victims of human trafficking. There has been an increasing number of cases in 2014-2016. This paper aims to answer the main research question: what has caused the increase of human trafficking cases between Indonesia and Malaysia within this period? While internal factors from the source country influence human trafficking, external and personal factors contribute to the cases.

Human trafficking is a pernicious new variation on the ancient theme of slavery and trading in human flesh. It is considered a serious organised crime against humanity, reduces their sense of worth and punctures their ego and sense of dignity. Human trafficking is a transnational crime, a global problem that targets vulnerable individuals and affects every country. Its expansion depends on there being source countries with people demanding better economic living conditions, and destination countries with people or industries demanding cheap labour or cheap prostitution to enlarge their profits. The Protocol to Prevent Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children by United Nations marks the international community's cumulative efforts to deal with this transnational organised crime. The Trafficking Protocol was entered into force on 2003. It has been signed by 117 countries and ratified by 159 parties. This article focuses on the ambiguity of definition of human trafficking given by UNO protocol.

<p>Problems related to human rights in Indonesia are criminal acts of human trafficking committed by corporations. Trafficking in persons is a modern form of human slavery and is also one of the worst forms of treatment of violations of human dignity. However, the development has difficulties with law enforcement related to corporations that commit criminal acts of trafficking. The research method used is a normative juridical research method using secondary data to be analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study show that corporations as subjects of criminal law can be equated with humans, because there are rights and obligations given by law and therefore corporate skills are also equated with human skills. Regulations regarding corporate responsibility are regulated in Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning Eradication of Criminal Act of Human Trafficking, corporations can be held liable if they commit criminal acts of trafficking by fulfilling the requirements of criminal liability in general such as the ability to be responsible, mistakes and intentions, absence of matters that are used as reasons for criminal offenses.</p>

Perdagangan manusia menjadi masalah terbesar di Selat Malaka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan upaya Indonesia dalam menanggulangi perdagangan manusia di Selat Malaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analitik deskriptif dan konsep strategi melawan perdagangan manusia oleh Friesendorf, di mana teori ini menjelaskan 4 strategi dalam menanggulangi perdagangan manusia, yaitu: implementasi, kerja sama, penelitian dan evaluasi, pelembagaan. Pertama, sebagai strategi implementasi, Indonesia telah meratifikasi Protokol Palermo dan mengimplementasikannya melalui Undang-Undang No. 21 tahun 2007. Indonesia juga meratifikasi Deklarasi ASEAN tentang Perdagangan Manusia Khusus tentang Perempuan dan Anak. Strategi kedua adalah kerja sama. Indonesia telah bekerja sama dengan negara atau non-negara, seperti kerja sama MALSINDO, kerja sama bilateral dengan AS, kerja sama dengan IMO, dan kerja sama antar aktor sektor keamanan. Strategi ketiga adalah pengendalian dan evaluasi, di mana peneliti tidak menemukan upaya Indonesia dalam strategi ketiga ini. Strategi keempat adalah melembagakan di mana Indonesia belum membentuk lembaga yang terkait dengan penanganan perdagangan manusia di Selat Malaka.

“Trafficking in persons,” “human trafficking,” and “modern slavery” have been used as umbrella terms for the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud, or coercion. Trafficking in persons is an insult to human dignity and an assault on freedom, and robbing basic human rights (US Report, 2015). Reliable data on trafficking are difficult to obtain owing to its illegal nature; the range and severity of trafficking activities; and variations in how trafficking is defined. It is supposed that 49 per cent of the victims are women, 21 per cent girls, 18 per cent men and 12 per cent boys. 53 per cent were involved in sexual exploitation and 40 per cent in forced labor (UN, 2014).Research findings show that the limitations of current methodologies affect what is known about human trafficking and health. Moreover, findings demonstrate an urgent need for representative and non–purposive recruitment strategies in future investigations of trafficking and health as well as research on risk and protective factors related to human trafficking and health, intervention effectiveness, long-term health outcomes. The psychological impact of victimization may be more severe than the physical violence. Victims who have been rescued from sexual slavery, typically present with various psychological symptoms and mental illnesses, including the following: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, panic disorder, suicidal ideation, Stockholm syndrome, and substance abuse. The problem of human trafficking that occurs on the borders of Indonesia and the Johor region of Malaysia basically comes from the problem of poverty and the difficulty of job opportunities which consequently are utilized by people or organizations that are not responsible for the sake of obtaining the maximum profit. This study was conducted by considerations that there are no satisfactory explanation of expressing perpetrators of human trafficking both in Indonesia and Johor Malaysia. By using focus group discussion (FGD), the results show that the rights of victims of trafficking have been normatively protected which is strictly regulated in the legislation in Malaysia. This seriousness was also shown by the existence of a special court for human trafficking crime. Data shows that the trend of human trafficking victims is decreasing. The obstacle in the implementation of the protection of victims of human trafficking was the reluctance of the victims of human trafficking to provide testimonials for the purposes of the trial in Johor Malaysia with the intention of avoiding the extension of the judicial process.

This study aims to analyze implementation of human rights in economic field and role of the Government, Educational Institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations in the prevention and control of trafficking in women. How to achieve the goal, is done by empirical studies and documentation studies, to obtain primary and secondary data. This research is descriptive analytical. The approach method used is empirical juridical. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. Factors that cause the implementation of human rights in the economic field have not been fully realized because between legal policies and legal implementation have not been running consistently and simultaneously. The realization of human rights in the economic field is still only limited to issues and has not become a concrete implementation. The role of the Government in the prevention and overcoming of trafficking in women is still limited to political will by the issuance of a law that ratifies the ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, then followed by Institutional Infrastructure Compilation. The role of Educational Institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations in the prevention and prevention of trafficking in women, has responded with action, prevention and handling of trafficking in women, through the socio-economic empowerment of families and advocacy in handling cases of trafficking in women. The struggle and movement for the achievement of feminism justice, in the economic field is carried out by empowering the family economy, improving education and expanding access to job search for women by utilizing information technology.

The existence of Law Number 21 Year 2007 concerning the Eradication of Crime of Trafficking in Persons as protection for trade acts. The legal policy in the realm of human trafficking is not only about central government elements but also related to the policies issued by the local government. The law as an existing regulatory instrument in Indonesia is based on the existence of regional policy to protect its citizens. Trafficking can not be separated from various parties. This concerns various aspects of the community elements involved in it. There is a need for comprehensive prevention to avoid trafficking. Kajian ini mencoba untuk mengkaji hubungan antara perdagangan manusia dan pembangunan, terutama mempertanyakan mengapa beberapa daerah lebih rentan dibandingkan dengan daerah lain. Kajian ini juga membahas jenis eksploitasi di daerah tujuan serta bagaimana strategi dalam mengurangi dan menghentikan praktik perdagangan manusia. Terungkap bahwa perdagangan manusia memiliki keterkaitan dengan isu pembangunan di mana ketimpangan pembangunan, pengaruh budaya dan eksposur terhadap globalisasi meningkatkan kerentanan individu terhadap perdagangan manusia di daerah yang lebih maju. Karena perdagangan manusia melibatkan jaringan kriminal internasional, partisipasi dari semua pemangku kepentingan melalui pendekatan yang sistematis dan penguatan jaringan adalah suatu keharusan dalam mencegah dan memberantas hal ini terjadi.

The case of human trafficking in NTT has become an unresolved case. Most of the case of human trafficking in NTT are migrant workers. Human trafficking cases are effected by the actors involved in the network of problems. ANT (Actor Network Theory) is used as a review to describe the various roles of actors in human trafficking networks and is used to find the point of problem of human trafficking cases in NTT. The results of this study indicate an indication of the onvolvement of actors of human trafficking groups participating in trafficking networks. And poverty is a major factor in the rise and fall of human trafficking in NTT. And the poverty is a major factor in the unstoppable of human trafficking in NTT. The results of this study also led to the solution of economic empowerment as a way out of poverty to end human trafficking cases in NTT.

Eastern Europe is among the major sources of migrants who travel for work to other European nations. In this research, in-depth interviews and analysis of legal cases of migration in Bulgaria reveal that the typical kinds of human trafficking in the region are sexual exploitation, labor exploitation, forced servitude, and trafficking of pregnant women for the sale of their babies. For each type, I examine victim profiles, recruitment strategies, transportation, and the types of control and exploitation that traffickers use. Comparisons are drawn between the Bulgarian findings and patterns in other Eastern European nations.

The phenomenon of human trafficking that makes humans as a commodity of trade is something that very alarming. In recent years since 2014 to 2018 the number of human trafficking cases in East Nusa Tenggara province has increased more than in other regions in Indonesia. In 2017, East Nusa Tenggara Province was ranked first of all Provinces in Indonesia related to human trafficking cases, where from January to August there were 137 cases of human trafficking in East Nusa Tenggara Province. This fact is certainly very alarming for all the people and the East Nusa Tenggara government. This article aimed at finding out 1) reality of the human trafficking case in East Nusa Tenggara Province, 2) human trafficking factors in East Nusa Tenggara Province, and 3) a solution to overcome human trafficking in East Nusa Tenggara Province. This article used literature study method by utilizing secondary data from various relevant sources. Human trafficking in East Nusa Tenggara Province have increased from year to year, it was reported that during the period of 2015 to mid-2016 there were 1,667 female migrant workers of human trafficking victims in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Low human resources as a result of low level of education and economic problems such us poverty and high unemployment are that main causes of human trafficking in East Nusa Tenggara Province. To overcame this, it is necessary to have concrete solutions like preventive action, empowerment, and improvement of the labor system.

This study aims to systematically identify and review studies on anti-human trafficking campaigns published in peer-reviewed journals to determine the extent to which such campaigns have been critically and rigorously evaluated so as to guide future policies and practice in this area and to identify the main characteristics, problems, and challenges associated with the campaigns in the identified studies. This systematic literature review identified 16 studies that have assessed anti-human trafficking campaigns but found that none of these included outcome, process, or impact evaluations. As identified in our study, anti-human trafficking campaigns tend to rely on advertising techniques to target vulnerable groups and the wider public, with the primary aim of informing and educating. Further, a thematic analysis of the studies identified problems in eight areas that require attention in the future development of anti-human trafficking campaigns: stereotyping, compounding human trafficking with migration, conflating prostitution with human trafficking, sexualization/erotization of women, victimization, role of anti-human trafficking organizations, data shortcomings, and oversimplification of human trafficking. Studies presenting the results of evaluations of social marketing anti-human trafficking campaigns are urgently needed to show which social marketing tools work and to provide an evidence base for future campaigns.

<p>Based on the fluctuating trend of human trafficking cases which is considered as still high in number, the Government of Indonesia should take serious action in combating these issues in Indonesia to protect the human rights of Indonesian citizens. The human security issue and actions taken by the Government of Indonesia will be the fundamental objective of this research. The theoretical framework used to analyze the issue in this study is the theory of Human Security, Role Theory, and the concept of Human Trafficking. To analyze the data, this study will use qualitative methods. The results show that the government has succeeded in managing several steps that are useful to increase awareness in cooperation and coordination between state institutions. The government has also kept the cooperation well with several foreign states and external parties to eradicate human trafficking not only in Indonesia but also in the international sphere.</p>

Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Perdagangan manusia yang marak diberbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia dan negara-negara berkembang dimana hal ini menjadi perhatian dunia terutama PBB. Perdagangan manusia dikategorikan sebagai tindak pidana, yang lebih tepatnya tindak pidana khusus. Dalam hukum pidana Indonesia telah diatur dengan berbagai ketentuan. Ketentuan mencakup larangan dan pemberantasan seperti disebutkan didalam KUHP, Peraturan Perundang-Undangan dan didalam RUU KUHP, Bab XX, Pasal 546-561 tentang perdagangan manusia, yang penerapan sanksinya diancam dengan hukum pidana pidana penjara dan hukum pidana denda. Perdagangan manusia merupakan kejahatan yang terorganisir dan tersistematis, dimana orang yang termasuk didalamnya memiliki kepentingan pribadi atau kelompok untuk mendapat keuntungan.

AbstractThis article examines the legal and political context for prosecuting corporate crime in Indonesia. It presents a case study of the landmark case in which a migrant labour recruitment agency was successfully prosecuted for human trafficking. This article explains the rationale and motivation of the prosecution in four sections. First, it considers the development and purpose of corporate liability as a legal concept to foreground the second section, which outlines the legal and policy framework for pursuing corporations that commit crime in Indonesia. This section also offers a detailed discussion about how individuals have been proceeded against in human trafficking cases that involve corporations. Third, this article presents a case study of the first and only instance where a corporation was successfully prosecuted for human trafficking to highlight the sequence of events that made the effort possible. Fourth, the discussion that follows identifies the prosecution's motivations for bringing the case, and makes empirical conclusions about the purpose of prosecuting corporations for human trafficking through the Indonesian legal system. In conclusion, this article argues that the institutional drive to punish corporate involvement in economic crime has created the necessary systems to seek the punishment of a wider range of other corporate crimes, including human trafficking.

The increasing numbers of newspaper reports on disappearing women from the north eastern state of Assam and especially from the economically backward areas of the state in recent years deserve close attention from both researchers' points of view as well as policy-level intervention of the larger community along with the government. This study makes an attempt to operate upon the menace area through the scalpel of game theory under the light of both primary and secondary data collected from the study area. It is an attempt to outline conscious human behaviour that leads to crimes such as women trafficking and identify the parameters controlling or affecting which types of crimes can be controlled. In order to do so, different distinct entities associated with the problem have been considered as different players leading to the concluding indication of prevailing flaws in the legal system of the country along with lack of employment opportunities and mass ignorance about the problem in hand among common people as the major reasons.
