The Indigofera are frequently shrubs, and some are small trees or herbaceous perennials or annuals. These have pinnate leaves. Racemes of flowers grow in the leaf axils, in hues of red, but there are a few white- and yellow-flowered species. The fruit is a legume pod of varying size and shape. ABSTRACT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pelet mengandung tepung daun Indigofera terhadap produktivitas kambing Boerka periode bunting dan laktasi. Ternak yang digunakan adalah kambing Boerka bunting bulan keempat sebanyak 60 ekor dengan variasi paritas ke 2 dan 3 dan rataan bobot badan saat dikawinkan adalah 32,63±5,29 kg. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 perlakuan pakan dengan 20 kali ulangan: rumput lapang + Pelet komersil (R1); rumput lapang + pelet Indigofera 10% (R2); rumput lapang + pelet Indigofera 20% (R3). Parameter yang diukur adalah bobot badan anak lahir dan bobot badan anak prasapih (umur 3 bulan). Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA ) satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun Indigofera 10% memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot lahir anak kambing betina dan tidak berbeda nyata terhadap parameter lainnya namun cenderung menurun pada pemberian tepung daun Indigofera 20%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera dalam pelet sampai 20% memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata terhadap produktivitas kambing Boerka periode bunting dan laktasi. (Effect of dietary pellet containing indigofera leaf meal on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period) ABSTRAK. The research was aimed to investigate effect of dietary pellet containing Indigofera leaf meal on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period. A total of 60 heads of Boerka goat who were pregnant at 4th, parity of 2nd and 3rd and average of body weight when mated were 32,63±5,29 kg. Research used randomized block design with 3 feed treatments and 20 replicated: native grass + commercial pellet (R1); native grass + Indigofera’s pellet 10% (R2); native grass + Indigofera’s pellet 20%. The parameter measured were body weight of lamb born and body weight of lamb at pre-weaning (3 month aged). Data were analyzed used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) one way dan continued with Multiple’s Range Test of Duncan. The result of statistical analysis showed that dietary Indigofera leaf meal 10% gave significant effect on birth weight of female lamb and non significant effect on other parameters but tends to decreased in dietary Indigofera leaf meal 20%. It could be conclude that utilization of Indigofera leaf meal until 20% in pellet gave not significant effect on productivity of Boerka goat at pregnancy and lactating period.

A revision of trifoliolate Indigofera in India is provided based on field studies, and examination of herbarium specimens. In India, 11 species and 4 varieties of trifoliolate Indigofera are recognized: Indigofera barberi, I. deccanensis, I. glandulosa, I. glandulosa var. sykesii, I. karuppiana, I. pedicellata, I. prostrata, I. santapaui, I. thothathrii, I. tirunelvelica, I. trifoliata, I. trifoliata var. duthiei, I. trita, I. trita var. maffeii and I. trita var. purandharensis. Of 11 species, seven species and three varieties are endemic. A key to the species, description and illustrations are provided along with data on flowering and fruiting, distribution, habitat, chromosome number, and ethnobotanical uses.

Abstract The problem of fish feed in Indonesia is currently dominated by import dependence on feed raw materials, especially fish meal and soybean meal. One alternative that currently can be chosen is indigofera leaves (Indigofera zollingeriana). The indigofera leaves used are indigofera leaves that have been cultivated by farmers in Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung City. Harvest is done at the age of 12 months. After harvesting, indigofera leaves are dried in the sun and the flouring process is carried out. Furthermore, indigofera and indigofera leaves were tested proximately and compared with commercial indigofera flour. In addition, the resulting indigofera leaf flour was hydrolyzed with cellulose enzyme at a dose of 10 g/kg for 5 days and a proximate test was carried out afterwards. The results showed leaf protein content of 19.95%, protein content of treated indigofera leaves flour 29.74% while protein content of commercial indigofera flour was 21.95% (dry weight). Meanwhile, the protein content of indigofera leaves flour which had been hydrolyzed with cellulose enzyme at a dose of 10 g/kg for 5 days increased to 31.30% and crude fiber decreased from 28.75% to 1.98%. The conclusion of this study is that the resulting indigofera leaves flour has the lowest crude fiber content and higher protein than indigofera leaves flour without hydrolysis of cellulose enzymes and commercial indigofera flour. Indigofera leaves flour hydrolyzed with cellulose enzymes resulted in a decrease in crude fiber and an increase in protein.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi terhadap sifat fisik pellet setelah masa penyimpanan satu bulan. Penelitian uji sifat fisik pellet dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai September 2018 yang bertempat di Laboratorium terpadu Fakultas Pertanian UNIGA. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu Metode Eksperiental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu : R0 = Bungkil kedelai 26%, Indigofera fermentasi 0%; R1 = Bungkil kedelai 19,5%, Indigofera fermentasi 6,5%; R2 = Bungkil kedelai 13%, Indigofera fermentasi 13%; R3= Bungkil kedelai 6,5%, Indigofera fermentasi 19,5%; R4 = Bungkil kedelai 0%, Indigofera fermentasi 26%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Indigofera zollingeriana sampai level 26% tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap sifat fisik Pellet setelah masa penyimpanan satu bulan. ¬Kata-kata Kunci :Indigofera zollingeriana, Pellet, Sifat fisik, Penyimpanan Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of substitution of soybean meal with Indigofera zollingeriana fermentation on the physical properties of pellets after a one-month storage period. Research on physycal properties of pellets was conducted from April to September 2018 which is located at the UNIGA Agriculture Faculty Integrated Laboratory. The method used is the Experimental Method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, that is : R0 = 26% soybean meal, 0% fermented Indigofera; R1 = 19.5% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 6.5%; R2 = 13% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 13%; R3 = 6.5% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 19.5%; R4 = 0% soybean meal, 26% fermented Indigofera. The Increase in environtmentally friendly design products especially in fashion created by designers, artist and craftsmen in their work due to global trends and high demand for sustainable design products. Itajime shibori tie dyeing is one of the shape-resist techniques in textile design which usually using natural dyes in its application. The purpose of this research is to describe the process and to analyze the experimental result of natural dyeing and pattern from the combination of indigofera and tunjung extract on cotton silk fabrics with itajime shibori tie dyeing technique. The method used in this research is an experiment on different treatments to determine the after effect from tunjung and indigofera extract dipping which observed as the process of making new variation of dyed tie cloth with itajime shibori technique to obtain color change and pattern formation data using visual observations from soaking cloth in a tunjung solution overnight then in indigofera extract for 15 minutes in 3 stages (every 5 minutes) after that cloth ready for the final dyeing treatments which alternated between tunjung solution and indigofera extract for 1 stage of dipping (1) indigo-tunjung, (2) tunjung-indigo, (3) tunjung-indigo-tunjung, (4) tunjung-indigo-indigo, (5) tunjung-indigo-tunjung-indigo, (6) tunjung-indigo-indigo-tunjung dan (7) tunjung-indigo-tunjung-indigo-tunjung, the process shows there is an effect of color diggerences in stages of cloth dyeing between tunjung solution and indigofere extract from the fabric color from ivory white to light brown and the pattern color which change from dark blue to brownish green on the surface of cotton silk fabric which have the most dipping stage and ended it with tunjung.Keywords: indigofera, itajime, shibori, sustainable, tunjung. AbstrakProduk desain khususnya produk fesyen yang ramah lingkungan semakin marak diusung oleh desainer, seniman dan pengerajin dalam rancangannya karena pengaruh tren global dan juga peminat akan produk sustainable design yang sudah semakin tinggi. Kain celup ikat itajime shibori merupakan salah satu teknik penahan bentuk (shape-resist technique) dalam olah reka tekstil yang biasanya mempergunakan pewana alami dalam pengaplikasiannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan menganalisis hasil eksperimen pewarnaan dan pemberian motif alami dari perpaduan ekstrak indigofera dengan larutan tunjung terhadap kain katun sutera dengan teknik celup ikat itajime shibori. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah eksperimen terhadap perlakuan yang berbeda untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang ditimbulkan dari efek pencelupan larutan tunjung dan ekstrak indigofera yang diamati sebagai proses pembuatan ragam hias kain celup ikat dengan teknik itajime shibori untuk mendapatkan unsur perubahan warna dan pembentukan motif sebagai komponen data penelitian yang diamati menggunakan pengamatan visual dari hasil perendaman kain dalam larutan tunjung semalaman dengan durasi pencelupan pada ekstrak indigofera selama 15 menit dalam 3 tahapan celup setiap 5 menit yang setelahnya dilakukan perlakuan celup secara bergantian antara larutan tunjung dan ekstrak indigofera selama 1 tahapan celup yaitu (1) indigo-tunjung, (2) tunjung-indigo, (3) tunjung-indigo-tunjung, (4) tunjung-indigo-indigo, (5) tunjung-indigo-tunjung-indigo, (6) tunjung-indigo-indigo-tunjung dan (7) tunjung-indigo-tunjung-indigo-tunjung yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh perbedaan warna dalam tahapan celup larutan tunjung dan ekstrak indigofera mulai dari warna kain berwarna putih gading hingga cokelat muda dan warna motif biru tua menjadi hijau kecoklatan terhadap kain katun sutera pada proses pencelupan yang paling banyak dan diakhiri dengan larutan tunjung.Kata Kunci: berkelanjutan, indigofera, itajime, shibori, tunjung. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum pada ternak ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 80 ekor ayam broiler yang ditempatkan secara acak kedalam 20 kandang yang masing-masing terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu R0 (bungkil kedelai 26% Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi 0%), R1 (bungkil kedelai 19,5% Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi 6,5%), R2 (bungkil kedelai 13% Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi 13%), R3 (bungkil kedelai 6,5% Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi 19,5%), dan R4 (bungkil kedelai 0% Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi 26%). Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila hasilnya berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi dalam ransum sampai taraf 13 persen tidak memberikan efek negatif terhadap performa ayam broiler. This study using 80 broiler which were randomly placed into 20 cages consisting of 4 chickens. The method used is the experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used were R0 (soybean meal 26% fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 0%), R1 (soybean meal 19.5% fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 6.5%), R2 (soybean meal 13% fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 13%), and R3 (soybean meal 6.5% fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 19,5%), R4 (soybean meal 0% fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 26%). The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if the results were significantly different followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test to see the differences between treatments. The results showed that substituting of soybean meal by fermented Indigofera zollingeriana had a significant effect on feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The substituting of soybean meal by fermented Indigofera zollingeriana in diets until level 13 percent did not have a negative effect on the performance of broiler. As a result of cladistic studies in the tribe Indigofereae in Africa and Madagascar (Schrire 1991) evidence was accumulated to justify resurrecting the genera Microcharis Benth. and Indigastrum Jaub. Spach, which were previously considered part of Indigofera L. All described species in each genus are listed alphabetically. Forty-seven new combinations, six changes ain rank and four resurrected names are published.

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tepung daun Indigofera (Indigofera zollingeriana) yang diberikan dalam pakan terhadap kualitas telur ayam arab. Penelitian didesain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 (empat) perlakuan dan 4 (empat) ulangan. Perlakuan penelitian terdiri atas: P0 = Ransum mengandung 0% Tepung daun Indigofera, P1 = Ransum mengandung 10% Tepung daun Indigofera, P2 = Ransum mengandung 15% Tepung daun Indigofera, dan P3 = Ransum mengandung 20% Tepung daun Indigofera. Peubah yang diukur dan diamati meliputi berat kuning telur, berat putih telur, berat kerabang telur, warna kuning telur, kadar lemak, kadar protein, dan kadar kolesterol. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) berdasarkan RAL menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Jika perlakuan berpengaruh nyata maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan Uji Duncan Multiple Range Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun indigofera dalam pakan ayam arab, dapat mempengaruhi berat kuning telur, berat putih telur, berat kerabang telur, dan warna kuning telur ayam arab. Pakan substitusi sebagian ransum komersil dengan menggunakan indigofera sp adalah alternatif untuk memcahkan masalah mahalnya harga pakan broiler. indigofera sp memiliki keunggulan kandungan protein yang tinggi serta mudah untuk didapatkan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi sebagian ransum komersil dengan menggunakan tepung Indigifera sp terhadap lemak abdomen ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, dengan rincian; perlakuan I0 (100% ransum komersil), I1 (92% komersil + 16% Indigofera sp, I3 (76% ransum komersil + 24% Indigofera sp), dan I4 (68% ransum komersil + 32% Indigofera sp). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Indigofera sp sebagai substitusi sebagian pakan komersil berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap semua parameter yang diteliti, yakni lemak abdomen, persentase lemak abdomen terhadap bobot hidup, persentase lemak abdomen terhadap karkas, persentase lemak abdomen terhadap organ dalam ayam broiler. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan Indigofera sp hingga level 32% tidak mempengaruhi lemak abdomen ayam broiler. Kata Kunci : Indigofera sp, abdomen, broiler

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi segar biomasa Indigofera zollingerianayang tumbuh di lahan gambut bertipe saprik pada umur 2, 3 dan 4 bulan setelah pemangkasan. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok. Perlakuan adalah biomasa indigofera yang dipanen pada umur 2 bulan (2B), 3 bulan (3B) dan umur 4 bulan (4B). Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tua umur pemangkasan maka panjang ranting, jumlah daun, rasio daun/ranting, produksi segar dan kandungan bahan kering indigofera semakin meningkat. Panjang ranting indigofera pada 2B, 3B dan 4B berturut-turut adalah 52,23 cm, 99.01 cm dan 132,12 cm. Jumlah daun indigofera pada 2B yaitu 1.648,1 helai, kemudian meningkat pada 3B yaitu 4.424,8 helai dan pada 4B yaitu 11.310,1 helai. Persentase daun meningkat dari 31,7% (2B) menjadi 44% (4B), sedangkan persentase ranting menurun dari 68,3% (2B) menjadi 56% (4B). Rataan produksi segar tanaman indigofera per pohon pada 2B, 3B, dan 4B berturut-turut yaitu 542,7 g/pohon, 1.173,9 g/pohon, dan 2.858,8 g/pohon. Kandungan bahan kering indigofera pada 2B yaitu sebesar 13,25%, pada 3B yaitu 14,76%, dan pada 4B yaitu 15,76%. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Indigofera zollingeriana dapat tumbuh dengan baik pada tanah gambut tipe saprik. Produksi tertinggi biomasa Indigofera zollingeriana berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah pada umur 4 bulan setelah pemangkasan. This study aims to evaluation the effect of Indigofera zollingeriana flour utilization inpoultry pellet ration on the content of the fiber fraction ,namely : Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Acid Detergent Lignin (ADL), hemicelluloses and cellulose. The experimental design used Completely Randomized Design(CRD),which consists of 4 treatments and 5 replicates. The treatments were the level of Indigofera zollingeriana flour utilization that were T0 = 0% Indigofera zollingeriana (control),T1 = 5% Indigofera zollingeriana, T2 =10% Indigofera zollingeriana, T3 = 15% Indigofera zollingeriana. The results showed that the Indigofera zollingeriana utilization had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the content of NDF, hemicellulose, cellulose but had significantly effect (P<0.05) to the content of ADF and highly significant effect (P<0.01) on the content of ADL. It was concluded that the use of 15% Indigofera zollingerian alowered the content ADF and ADL, unable to reduce the content fNDF and unable to increase the content of hemicellulose and cellulose.The use of 15% Indigofera zollingeriana is t h e b e s t 30.39% NDF; 9.42% ADF; 2.25% ADL; 20.98% hemicellulose and 4.53% cellulose.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan Indigofera zollingeriana dalam ransum terhadap kinerja ayam sentul. Seratus empat puluh empat ekor ayam Sentul dialokasikan ke dalam 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Unggas tersebut dipelihara dari mulai day old chick (DOC) sampai umur 3 minggu dengan diberi ransum BR 501 CP, selanjutnya selama 7 minggu diberi ransum perlakuan. Ransum perlakuan tersebut adalah 1) R1 = ransum komersial (Sinta SP 22), 2) R2 = ransum yang biasa digunakan peternak, 3) R3 = ransum mengandung Indigofera zollingeriana 20% tanpa jagung, 4) R4 = ransum mengandung Indigofera zollingeriana 10%, 5) R5 = ransum mengandung Indigofera zollingeriana 15%, 6) R6 = ransum mengandung Indigofera zollingeriana 20% dan mengandung jagung. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan uji Duncan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi dan konversi ransum tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata, tapi pertambahan bobot badan tertinggi (P<0,05) dicapai pada R1 dengan bobot badan akhir sebesar 833,25 g pada umur 10 minggu. Ransum R4 yang mengandung Indigofera zollingeriana 10% menghasilkan pertambahan bobot badan yang sama dengan R1 dengan bobot akhir penelitian sebesar 722 g. Kesimpulan Indigofera zollingeriana sebanyak 10% dapat diberikan dalam ransum ayam sentul.Kata kunci: ayam sentul, performa, Indigofera zollingerianaABSTRACTThis study was aimed to utilize Indigofera zollingeriana in diets on the performance of sentul chicken. One hundred and fourty four sentul chickens were allocated into 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. This poultry was kept from DOC until the age of 3 weeks with BR 501 CP diets, next for 7 weeks fed treatment diets. The treatment diet was 1) R1 = commercial diet (Sinta SP 22), 2) R2 = diet commonly used by breeder, 3) R3 = diet containing Indigofera zollingeriana 20% without maize, 4) R4 = diet containing Indigofera zollingeriana 10%, 5) R5 = diet containing Indigofera zollingeriana 15%, 6) R6 = diet containing Indigofera zollingeriana 20% and containing maize. The study used a complete randomized design and the collected data were analyzed by Duncan test. The results showed that the consumption and conversion of diets did not show any significant difference, but the highest body weight gain (P <0.05) was achieved in R1 with final bodyweight of 833.25 g at 10 weeks. The R4 diet containing 10% Indigofera zollingeriana resulted in the same weight gain as R1 with the final weights of 722 g. Conclusion Indigofera zollingeriana as much as 10% can be given in sentul chicken diets.Keywords: performance, Indigofera zollingeriana, sentul chicken

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of using Indigofera arrecta leaf meal in the diet on the quality of quail eggs using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments, 6 replications, each replication consisting of 10 quails. The treatments included P0 (0%) Indigofera arrecta leaf powder in the diet as a control, P1 (7.5%), P2 (10%), and P3 (12.5%). Observations of egg quality were carried out at 8 weeks of age, including yolk color, yolk index, albumen index, shell thickness and Haugh Unit of 240 eggs taken randomly from each treatment. The results showed that the use of Indigofera arrecta leaf flour 10% and 12.5% in the ration could improve the quality of yolk color and thickness of quail egg shells. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan limbah rumen sapi dan tanaman indigofera terhadap konversi dan efisiensi ransum pada itik lokal. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, tiap perlakuan terdiri dari 15 ekor itik untuk perlakuan. Formulasi pakan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: P0 : 100% dedak padi tanpa ada penambahan isi rumen sapi dan daun Indigofera zollingeriana, P1 : 70% dedak padi + 20% isi rumen sapi + 10% daun indigofera, P2 : 70% dedak padi + 15% isi rumen sapi + 15%, daun indigofera P3 : 70% dedak padi + 10% isi rumen sapi + 20% daun indigofera. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian maka dapat diketahui bahwa dengan penambahan limbah rumen sapi dan tanaman indigofera pada pakan itik lokal, memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0.01) terhadap konversi dan memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap efisiensi pakan itik lokal. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah pemberian limbah rumen sapi dan tanaman indigofera pada ransum terdapat pengaruh terhadap efisiensi pakan dan konversi pakan pada ternak itik. Adapun perlakuan terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan P3 dengan pemberian limbah rumen sebanyak 10% dan daun indigofera sebanyak 20%.

ABSTRAKPakan merupakan aspek penting dari peternakan dan peningkatan produksi daging dapat dicapai melalui nutrisi dan manajemen yang tepat. Indigofera sp adalah salah satu spesies leguminosa hijauan yang potensial untuk ruminansia dan merupakan sumber penting protein, mineral, vitamin, serat serta memiliki palatabilitas tinggi. Genus Indigofera terdiri atas sekitar 700 spesies yang berbeda, banyak di antaranya adalah tanaman penting yang secara agronomis digunakan sebagai pakan ternak dan suplemen pakan. Namun, beberapa spesies Indigofera mengandung faktor antinutrisi dikenal sebagai indospicine yang merupakan asam amino nonprotein toksik (2,7- diamino-7-iminoheptanoic acid) dan diketahui bersifat hepatotoksik pada ruminansia. Ternak yang mengonsumsi Indigofera dilaporkan mengalami efek hepatotoksik dengan adanya lesi pada hati, efek teratogenik dan kematian embrio. Oleh karena itu, indospicine harus dipertimbangkan sebagai kemungkinan penyebab rendahnya penampilan ternak, khususnya penurunan berat badan dan gangguan reproduksi pada ruminansia yang diberi pakan indigofera sp dalam jumlah yang berlebihan. Di Indonesia spesies Indigofera zollingeriana merupakan pilihan paling tepat untuk dibudidayakan dan dikembangkan sebagai pakan ternak rumiansia karena memiliki kandungan indospicine yang rendah untuk menghilangkan kejadian keracunan indospicine.Kata kunci: faktor antinutrisi, hepatotoksik, indigofera, indospicineABSTRACTThe feed is an important aspect of animal production, an increase in meat production can be achieved through proper nutrition and good management. The Indigofera sp is one of the potential forage legume species which are important sources of protein, minerals, vitamins, fiber, and has high palatability that provide essential nutrients for ruminants. The Indigofera genus contains approximately 700 different species, many of which are agronomically important plants that are used as grazing forages and feed supplements. Some Indigofera species, however, contain antinutritional factors (ANF) known as indospicine, a toxic nonprotein amino acid (2,7- diamino-7-iminoheptanoic acid) and is thought to be hepatotoxic in ruminants. Cattle and sheep consuming Indigofera have been reported to experience both hepatotoxic effects with associated liver lesions, and also teratogenic and embryo-lethal effects. Therefore, indospicine should be considered as a possible cause of animal poor performance, particularly reduced weight gain and reproductive disorders in ruminants that are fed with excessive amounts of indigofera sp. in Indonesia Indigofera zollingeriana species are the most appropriate choice to be cultivated and developed as ruminat livestock feed because they have a low indospicine content to eliminate the incidence of indospicine poisoning.Keywords: antinutritional factor, hepatotoxic, Indigofera sp, indospicine

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan mengandung daun indigofera (Indigofera zollingeriana) terhadap respon fisologis dan hematologi kelinci Rex. Penelitian menggunakan 4 ekor kelinci Rex betina yang dibagi menjadi 2 perlakuan. P0 merupakan perlakuan tanpa mengandung daun indigofera, P1 merupakan perlakuan pakan mengandung 20 % daun indigofera. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian yaitu: laju respirasi, denyut jantung, suhu rektal, suhu kulit, kadar hemoglobin, jumlah eritrosit, nilai, jumlah leukosit, dan kadar glukosa. Data respon fisiologis didapatkan dari masing-masing 4 ekor kelinci di tiap perlakuan. Data respon fisiologis dianalisis menggunakan T-test, dan data hematologi didapatkan dari masing-masing dua ekor kelinci dari tiap perlakuan, dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian daun indigofera tidak memberikan pengaruh pada respon fisiologis kelinci. Hematologi kelinci yang diberi pakan daun indigofera masih dalam batas normal. Kelompok diet non-indigofera memiliki hemoglobin 11,5; eritrosit 3,7 × 106/mm3; 37,7 %; leukosit 9,8 × 103/mm3 dan glukosa 77,5 mg/dL. Kelinci pada kelompok indigofera memiliki hemoglobin 12,2, jumlah eritrosit 4,15 × 106/mm3, 39,55 %, leukosit 12,9 × 103/mm3 dan glukosa 87,0 mg/dL. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa daun indigofera dapat digunakan hingga level 20 % tanpa memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap respon fisiologis dan hematologi kelinci Rex.

Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan, yaitu A: 100% daun kelapa sawit + tetes tebu + 5%, B: biomassa Indigofera + 5% molase 100%, C: 100% kelapa sawit + biomassa 20% Indigofera + 5% molase, D: 100% kelapa sawit + biomassa 40% Indigofera + tetes tebu + 5% dan E: 100% kelapa sawit + biomassa 60% Indigofera + tetes tebu + 5%. Periode fermentasi dilakukan selama 21 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Indigofera meningkatkan kandungan silase kelapa sawit, ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya kandungan protein kasar dan BETN. Selain itu kandungan SK lebih rendah dari pada kontrol. Kami menyimpulkan bahwa persentase terbaik dari Indigofera dalam silase kelapa sawit untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya adalah 40%. Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out how much antioxidant content combination maggot (Hermetia illucens), turmeric (Curcuma domestica) and Indigofera zollingeriana to be used as an alternative feed additive for poultry. This study used a complete randomized design with 6 treatments 3 replays using DPPH method with treatment P0 vitamin C (positive control), P1 (2,5% turmeric + 5% Indigofera + 25% larva BSF), P2 (2,5% turmeric+ 10% Indigofera + 20% larva BSF), P3 (2,5% turmeric + 15% Indigofera + 15% larva BSF), P4 (2,5% turmeric + 20% Indigofera + 10% larva BSF), P5 (2.5% turmeric + 25% Indigofera + 5% larva BSF). The observed parameters are antioxidant activity using orthogonal contrast tests and orthogonal polynomial tests. The results showed that the treatment had a very real effect (P<0.01) on antioxidant activity. Orthogonal contrast test results showed that the treatment of P0 (control) with the treatment of P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 had a very noticeable effect (P<0.01) on antioxidant activity. Further tests of orthogonal polynomials showed that the highest antioxidant was in the P5 treatment (2,5% turmeric + 25% Indigofera + 5% larva BSF) 115.67%. It was concluded that a combination of 25% larva BSF (Hermetia illucens), 2,5% turmeric (Curcuma domestica) and 5% Indigofera zollingeriana can be used as an alternative feed additive source of antioxidants for poultry livestock. This research aimed to see the effect of Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal as substitution of soybean meal in the diets on development giblets of broiler chickens. The study was conducted for 35 days and giblets sampling was carried out on the 35 day. The DOC used is the cobs strain produced by PT. Charoen Pokphan Indonesia with an average weight of 35.1 grams. A completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications and ten birds in each replication was used in this experiment. Dietary treatments were: R1= diet containing 20% soybean meal without I. zollingeriana top leaf meal ; R2= diet containing 16% soybean meal and 5.9% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 20% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal) ; R3= diet containing 12% soybean meal and 11.8% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 40% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal); R4= diet containing 8% soybean meal and 17.74% Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal (substitute 20% soybean meal protein with Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal). Variable measured was giblet of broiler (liver, heart, gizzard, spleen, bile, pancreas, kidney, relative length of small intestine and cecum.). The result showed that usage Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal in the diets did not affect giblets of broiler chickens. The conclusion of this study was Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal can be use up to 17.74% to substitute 60% soybean meal protein without interrupting the development giblets of broiler.Key words: Broiler Chicken; Indigofera Zollingeriana top leaf meal; Blood profile.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung daun indigofera sp dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan burung puyuh (Coturnis-Coturnis Japonica). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor puyuh, perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu: P0 = Tanpa perlakuan (kontrol). P1 = Perlakuan tepung daun indigofera sp (5%). P2 = Perlakuan tepung daun indigofera sp (10%). P3 = Perlakuan tepung daun indigofera sp (15%). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2021. Bertempat di Desa Pakeng, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Pinrang, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, penambahan tepung daun indigofera sp dalam ransum berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konversi pakan dan efisiensi pakan burung puyuh. Adapun perlakuan terbaik yaitu P3 (penambahan 15% tepung daun indigofera sp).

Abstract This study seeks to: (1) apply natural dyes made from Indigofera on batik using alum, lime, and fero(II) sulfate fixation, (2) develop batik designs with natural dyes from Indigofera on cotton fabrics for batik, and (3) apply natural dyes made from Indigofera on silk fabrics for batik. The problems in this study were solved using several steps which included analysis of problems related to the use of Indigofera natural dyes, data collection and observation, formulation of strategies to create batik products through experimentation (action research) in terms of experimental techniques, materials, and design motifs. The results of this study conclude several points, including visualization of batik designs using natural dyes from Indigofera and solutions to problems that arise in batik dyeing experiments using natural Indigofera dyes.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of using leaf flour of Indigofera zollingeriana which was added to the ration on the productivity and quality of Arab chicken eggs. This research conducted in March to May of 2018. This research conducted at the Permata Poultry Farm Group in Wua Wua Village, Kendari. This research used a completely randomized design with four (4) treatments and four (4) replications. The experimental ration which was tested consisted of: P0 = The Ration contained 0% Indigofera leaf flour, P1 = ration containied 10% Indigofera leaf flour, P2 = Ration contained 15% Indigofera leaf flour, and P3 = Ration contained 20% Indigofera leaf flour. The parameters were observed feed consumption, egg weight, feed conversion, daily egg production. The research data were analyzed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) based on RAL in using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software. If the treatment has a significant effect, further testing will be carried out with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results of this study showed that the addition leaf flour of indigofera zollingeriana in Arab chicken rations affected the feed conversion and egg weight of Arabic chicken, however indigofera leaf flour did not affect the feed consumption and egg production of Arab chickenKeywords: Indigofera Zollingeriana, Feed conversion, Egg Production, Arabic Chicken.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan larutan Indigofera sp. terhadap kualitas kimia telur asin itik Pegagan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Adapun telur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini diambil dan dikumpulkan dari kelompok ternak itik pegagan di Desa Kotadaro Tanjung Raja. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan jika terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antar perlakuan. Penelitian ini terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Masing-masing ulangan digunakan sebanyak 5 butir telur. Perlakuan terdiri atas : P0 (pengasinan tanpa larutan Indigofera sp.); P1 (pengasinan menggunakan larutan Indigofera sp. 25%); P2 (pengasinan menggunakan larutan Indigofera sp. 50%); dan P3 (pengasinan menggunakan larutan Indigofera sp. 75%). Parameter yang diamati meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein dan kadar lemak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan larutan Indigofera sp. berbeda tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap kadar air dan kadar protein, tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap kadar abu dan kadar lemak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan larutan Indigofera sp. sampai konsentrasi 75% mampu mempertahankan kadar air, kadar protein, namun menurunkan kadar abu dan kadar lemak.Kata kunci: Indigofera sp, Kualitas gizi, Pengasinan, Telur itik Pegagan.

Soybean meal is one of the feed ingredients that is still imported, so indigofera leaf flour is tried as an alternative to local feed ingredients to reduce feed costs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of indigofera leaf flour (Indigofera sp.) as a substitute for soybean meal on growth performance on enlargement of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus). This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. P1 (without substitution of indigofera leaf flour), P2 (substitution of soybean meal with 10% indigofera leaf flour), P3 (substitution of soybean meal with 20% indigofera leaf flour), P4 (substitution of soybean meal with 30% indigofera leaf flour). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested with Duncan's test. Based on statistical analysis, the test feeding had a significant effect (p<0.1) on absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, and feed efficiency and the yield was not significantly different (p>0.1) on absolute length and survival rate of fish. The results showed that the use of indigofera leaf flour as a substitute for soybean meal up to a limit of 20% was able to provide a relatively better growth performance than 30%.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas kimia pelet berbahan Indigofera zollingeriana dengan menggunakan berbagai jenis binder yang berbeda. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 16 unit satuan percobaan. Masing-masing perlakuan menggunakan tepung Indigofera zollingeriana sebanyak 4 kg. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah P1= Tepung hijauan Indigofera zollingeriana + 1% binder komersial (LignoBond DD), P2 = Tepung hijauan Indigofera zollingeriana + 1% tepung sagu, P3 = Tepung hijauan Indigofera zollingeriana + 1% tepung jagung, P4 = Tepung hijauan Indigofera zollingeriana + 1% tepung tapioka. Variabel penelitian yang diamati adalah uji kimia pelet yang meliputi analisa kadar protein kasar (PK), bahan kering (BK), serta bahan organik (BO) pelet. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penambahan berbagai jenis binder pelet memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) pada uji bahan kering pelet dan bahan organik pelet, serta memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) pada protein kasar pelet. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu kualitas kimia pelet yang baik terdapat pada P2 dengan penambahan binder tepung sagu.Kata Kunci : Indigofera zollingeriana, LignoBond DD, Tepung Sagu, Tepung Jagung, Tepung Tapioka.

The aim of this research was 1) to determine the effect of giving a combination of tofu pulp and indigofera leaves to the growth of super native chicken, 2) to determine the concentration of a combination of tofu pulp and indigofera leaves which is good for the growth of super native chicken, 3) to determine the utilization of learning outcomes as a learning resource in the form of a poster. This type of research is experimental research with a completely randomized design (CRD). This study used a total sample of 24 stater phase chicken (aged 20 days after hatching). This study used 4 treatments, namely the combination of tofu dregs feed and indigofera leaves with a concentration of 17% indigofera leaves mixed 83% tofu dregs, 35% concentration of indigofera leaves mixed 65% tofu dregs, and 70% concentration of indigofera leaves mixed 30% tofu dregs, and a control treatment with centrate feed. Each treatment was given 6x repetitions. The parameters observed in this study were weight, and diameter of super native chicken. Data were analyzed using a one-way Non-parametric Test called the Kruskal Wallis Test. Based on the results of the study, there was a significant influence on the feeding of tofu pulp and indigofera leaves to the growth of super native chicken. The results of the study are based on the analysis of the Kruskal Wallis test x2hit> x2daf. Further tests showed the best concentration of tofu pulp and indigofera leaves for super native chicken growth was a concentration of 17% indigofera leaves + 83% tofu pulp. Based on the analysis of the validation of learning resources, this study deserves to be used as a source of learning biology in the form of posters for the growth and development of class XII.Kata kunci: super java chicken, Indigofera, alternative feed, poster learning resources

The study was intended to investigate the presence of phytoconstituents in the bulbs of Narcicuss tazetta, flowers of the plant Nymphaea mexicana, and roots of Indigofera heterantha. The present study provides evidence that methanolic extracts of Narcicuss tazetta, Nymphaea mexicana and Indigofera heterantha contain important compounds with marked bioactivity. Maximum phenolic content was observed in Nymphaea mexicana and maximum flavonoid content was observed in extract of Indigofera heterantha. In this study, Indigofera wenholdiae, a new species of Fabaceae from the Agulhas Plain Region of the Western Cape Province, South Africa, is described. A composite photographic plate is included along with a distribution map, description of habitat and ecology and proposed IUCN conservation status. Indigofera wenholdiae is unique in the I. brachystachya group by having digitately compound (vs. pinnately compound) leaves, white and unscented flowers (vs. pink and sweetly scented flowers) and grows on sandstone hillsides (vs. coastal limestone plains and outcrops).

This study aims to evaluate the level of Indigofera zollingeriana with Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott in ration on rumen fermentation characteristics (total VFA, NH3 and protozoa population) in vitro. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. P1 = 60% Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott, P2 = 45% Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + 15% Indigofera zollingeriana, P3 = 30% Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + 30% Indigofera zollingeriana, P4 = 15% Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + 45% Indigofera zollingeriana, P5 = 60% Indigofera zollingeriana. All treatments received an additional 40% fine ricebran. The results showed that the level of Indigofera zollingeriana flour with Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott had no significant effect on total VFA and NH3. Total VFA and NH3 ranged from 131.65 mM-143.24 mM and 12.61 mM-13.74 mM, respectively. Meanwhile, the population of protozoa had a significant effect (P<0.05). DMRT further test results showed that P3 was significantly (P<0.05) lower than P1, P2, P4 and P5. The average population of the protozoa ranged from 53.125 cells/ml to 90,625 cells/ml. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the administration of Indigofera zollingeriana leaves by 30% was able to reduce the protozoan population in the rumen of FH cattle but had no significant effect on total VFA production and ammonia (NH3) concentration. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasidalam campuran ransum komersial terhadap performan ayam lokal pedaging unggul. Materi penelitian yangdigunakan adalah ayam lokal pedaging unggul (ALPU) umur sehari (DOC) sebanyak 100 ekor dan dipeliharasampai umur 70 hari. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap(RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan ransum dan 5 ulangan. Ransum perlakuan yang digunakan adalah: R1 (100%ransum komersial/kontrol), R2 (95% ransum komersial + 5% tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasi), R3(90% ransum komersial + 10% tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasi), dan R4 (85% ransum komersial +15% tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasi). Variabel yang diamati meliputi: konsumsi ransum, pertambahanbobot badan, konversi ransum, efisiensi ransum, bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas, persentase karkas danharga ransum. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisys of variance (ANOVA). Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasi dalam campuran ransum komersialtidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap performan ayam lokal pedaging unggul (konsumsi ransum, pertambahanbobot badan, konversi ransum, efisiensi ransum, bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas).Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun Indigofera sp terfermentasi tidak memberi efek negatif dandapat digunakan sampai 15% dalam campuran ransum komersial tanpa memengaruhi performan ALPU. The purpose of this research was to influence of substistution flour Indigofera zollingeriana in Rations on performance broiler and to know the percent of the substistration of Indigofera zollingeriana flour that is able to improve performance in the most optimal broiler. This research was conducted in Cihaliwung, RT 01 RW 10, Kertamulya Village, Padalarang District, West Bandung District during 42 days start from January 27 until March 08, 2021. The method used in this research was experimental method with using Complete Randomized Design (CRD), five treatments namely R0 (commercial ration 100%), R1 (commercial ration 90% + 10% Indigofera zollingeriana flour), R2 (commercial ration 85% +15% Indigofera zollingeriana flour), R3 (commercial ration 80% + 20% Indigofera zollingeriana flour), R4 (commercial ration 75% + 25% Indigofera zollingeriana flour) with four replication, each replication consisted of five broilers. The observed changes are ration consumption, daily weight gain, and ration conversion. The collected data was analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan's test. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the substitution of flour Indigofera zollingeriana until 25% in the ration had no significant effect on ration consumption, daily body weight gain and ration conversion.

Sheep is a small ruminant llivestock that area mostly raised by farmers in Indonesia fat tailed sheep (DEG) is one of the genetic resources of livestock that has economics, scientifics and socio-cultural values and has the potential; to be used to meet the needs of animal protein for humans. This study aimed to examine the effect of indigofera sp flour feeding on the physiological response of fat tail rams. The design used was a completely randomized design with the following treatments: control feed without administration of indigofera sp flour (P0), commercial feed + 10% Indigofera sp flour (P1), Commercial feed +20% Indigofera sp flour (P2). The treatments was given to male fat-tailed sheep with body weight (30 kg) and uniform age (1,5 years), healthy and not disabled. The variables observed were body temperature, respiration rate, heart rate, and feed consumption. The treatments of giving Indigofera sp flour to the ration was estimated to have a significant effect (respiration rate, heart rate and body temperature) from the normal limit compared to thr treatments of fat tail rams without administration of Indigofera sp flour.Key words: fat tailed sheep, Indigofera sp flour, physiological response

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi bonggol pisang dan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi terhadap konsumsi ransum, energi, dan air minum ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dikandang percobaan yang bertempat di Kampung Pasawahan Desa Tanjung Kecamatan Tarogong Kaler Kabupaten Garut. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2018. Metode Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental dan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Pola Faktorial dengan masing-masing perlakuan yaitu Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi yang terdiri dari 5 taraf dan bonggol pisang hasil fermentasi yang terdiri dari 5 taraf dan di kali 2 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi bonggol pisang dan indigofera hasil fermentasi memperlihatkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum, energi dan air minum ayam broiler. Pengaruh perlakuan terhadap konsumsi ransum dan energi ayam broiler tertinggi pada perlakuan b3i1 (bonggol 3.75% dan Indigofera zollingeriana 6.5%) sedangkan pengaruh perlakuan untuk air minum tertinggi ada pada perlakuan b4i1 (bonggol 5% dan Indigofera zollingeriana 6.5%). Kata kunci : Indigofera zollingeriana, bonggol pisang, konsumsi ransum dan energi. Abstract This research purpose to knowing the subtitution effect of rice bran with fermented banana humps and soybean fermented Indigofera zollingeriana on feed consumption, energy and drinking water of broiler chickens.This research was carried out in the field of the experiment which was held in Pasawahan Village, Tanjung Village, West Tarogong , Garut Regency. The time of the research was held in August until September 2018. The experiment was conducted using experimental method Sekolah and using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with each treatment fermented indigofera whuch cinsists of 5 levels and fermented banan stumps consisting if 5 levels and multiplied by 2 replications. Analysis of variance was used to analyze the effect of treatment on feed consumption, energy and drinking water of broiler chickens. The results showed that the substitution of rice bran with fermented banana stalks and soybean meal with fermented indigofera showed a significant effect on feed consumption, energy and drinking water of broiler chicken. The best result are in th treatment b3i1 (fermented banana 3.75% dan fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 6.5%) whike the treatment effect for the highest drinking water is ini the treatment b4i1 (fermented banana 5% dan fermented Indigofera zollingeriana 6.5%). Indigofera is a legume that can be used as forage for livestock. Leguminosa is a type of tree and shrub-shaped plant that contains higher protein than ordinary grass. Indigofera legumes have several advantages including high productivity, adaptability to low soil fertility, easy and inexpensive maintenance. This activity aims to transfer knowledge to farmers regarding the potential development of Indigofera legumes as quality animal feed and provide Indigofera legume seeds to be developed by members of farmer-livestock groups. This activity is a Community Service which was carried out at the Ambacang Permai livestock farmer group, Nagari Batu Payung, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The method used in this activity is counseling and socializing the potential of Indigofera legumes, as well as question and answer discussions regarding the development and how to plant Indigofera legumes. The results of this activity have provided additional knowledge for farmers in Nagari Batu Payung, Lareh Sago Halaban District regarding the potential for the development of Indigofera legumes because so far farmers only provide grass as animal feed. From the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that farmers in Nagari Batu Payung, Lareh Sago Halaban District are very helpful because through this activity farmers know the potential, how to plant and develop Indigofera as cattle feed. Breeders gave a positive response to the activities that had been carried out and hoped that Andalas University could assist independent groups in developing their cattle farming business.

The high price of feed raw materials, especially protein sources, causes high commercial feed prices. One effort that can be done to reduce feed costs is to make independent feed by utilizing local forage-based raw materials such as Indigofera leaf flour (I. zollingeriana). The nutritional value of Indigofera leaf flour consists of 28.59% crude protein; crude fiber 8.96%, fat 4.12%, ash 9.33% and water content 9.25%. The purpose of this activity was to determine the effect of indigofera leaf meal (I. zollingeriana) as a substitute for independent feed ingredients on the growth rate of carp (O. gouramy) fry. The combination of treatments in a completely randomized design included: A (Without Indigofera); B (Indigofera Flour Substitutes for Fish Meal and Soybean Meal, 20% each); C (Indigofera Flour Substitute Soybean Meal 40%); D (Indigofera Flour 40% Fish Meal Substitute). Parameters observed for 60 days with sampling intervals every 10 days are Growth Rate, Feed Efficiency and Fish Survival. Data analysis used analysis of variance (ANOVA), if the results were significantly different, further tests were carried out using Duncan's test or DMRT. The use of Indigofera leaf flour by 40%, as a substitute for 20% fish meal and 20% soybean meal in treatment B, gave the best growth effect between treatments, with a growth rate of 4.78%, with feed efficiency 39.54% and sustainability. Live 92.22%. The growth rate of treatment B was not significantly different from treatment A (4.59 %), but very significantly different from treatment C (3.55%) and D (3.79 %). Independent feeds with various formulations of feed ingredients, such as fish meal, soybean meal and indigofera flour, are better because they are thought to contain more complex nutrients. Survival between treatments was not significantly different, where the F-count was smaller than the F-table or (P<0.01 or P<0.05). This means that indigofera leaves can be used as a substitute for fish meal or soybean meal and do not contain certain toxins.

THE EFFECT OF DEFOLIATION INTENSITY ON PRODUCTIVITY OF Indigofera zollingeriana. This research aims to know the effect of defoliaion intensity on productivity (fresh production, dry weight production, proportion of leaves and stems) and to know the defoliation intensity with optimal productivity of forage Indigofera zollingeriana. This research was conducted in December 2019 until March 2020. It consisted of defoliation intensity at 75cm (T75), 100cm (T100), 125cm (T125), and 150cm (T150). The design used in this experiment is Completely Randomized Design. The variables in this research were 1. fresh production leaves and stems; 2. dry weight production leaves and stems; 3. the proportion of leaves and stems dry weight production of forages Indigofera zollingeriana. The results showed that the difference of intensity defoliation had a significantly effect (P<0,01) on productivity (fresh production, dry weight production, proportion of leaves and stems) forage Indigofera zollingeriana. Defoliation intensity 75 cm have significantly (P<0,01) fresh and dry weight leaf of Indigofera zollingeriana than hight defoliation 125 cm and 150 cm. Intensity defoliation 125 cm have significantly (P<0,01) leaf-stem ratio of Indigofera zollingeriana than any other. It conclude that intensity defoliation 125 cm have highly productivity. Aim: The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of the addition of tannin extract to Moringa and Indigofera leaf silages on their chemical composition, silage quality characteristics, and in vitro rumen fermentation parameters and digestibility. Materials and Methods: Moringa and Indigofera leaves were cut (3 cm length) and added with either 0, 2, or 4% chestnut tannin in three replicates. The leaves were then inserted into lab-scale silos (1 L capacity) and kept for 30 days. Silage samples were subjected to silage quality determination, chemical composition analysis, and in vitro rumen fermentation and digestibility evaluation using a gas production technique. Data obtained were subjected to the analysis of variance with a factorial statistical model in which the first factor was different silage species and the second factor was tannin addition levels. Results: Tannin addition at 4% dry matter (DM) increased neutral detergent insoluble crude protein (NDICP) and acid detergent insoluble CP (ADICP) of Indigofera silage. A similar response was observed in Moringa silage, but it required less tannin, i.e., 2% DM to increase its NDICP and ADICP. Moringa silage had lower pH than that of Indigofera silage (p<0.05), and tannin addition did not change pH of both Indigofera and Moringa silages. Higher addition level of tannin decreased total volatile fatty acid (VFA) and ammonia concentrations of both Indigofera and Moringa silages (p<0.05). A higher level of tannin addition reduced ruminal total VFA concentration, ammonia, in vitro DM digestibility, and in vitro organic matter digestibility of Indigofera and Moringa silages (p<0.05). Tannin addition also decreased ruminal methane emission of both Indigofera and Moringa silages (p<0.05). Conclusion: Tannin extract can reduce proteolysis of high protein silage from Moringa and Indigofera leaves.

The production process of indigofera plants yields 10% of blue natural dyes and wastes are 90%. The biomass wastes from the extraction of indigofera plants are classified as difficult to process in an Anaerobic Digester (AD) because of the large content of hemicellulose in the Indigofera stems. Therefore, the study reports the anaerobic digestion of Indigofera plant wastes co-digested with cow dung for enhancing the biogas quality. The digestion process was conducted in a vessel of 160 L with various weight ratios between Indigofera biomass and cow dung by 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The results show that the AD reactor temperature kept above 29.5°C with a pH between 6-7 were the key factors for enhancing the biogas quality. The co-digestion between 50% indigofera wastes with 50% cow dung yielded biogas with a CH4 content of about 42% and H2S concentration below 40 ppm showing that the biogas has the potential to be further improved in quality and can be used to fuel the stove and power generation.

Abstrak: Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) termasuk hewan pemakan segala (Omnivora), karena ikan tersebut memakan pakan hewani dan nabati yang cenderung hewan pemakan tumbuh-tumbuhan (herbivora). Indigofera sp sebagai kelompok tanaman kacang-kacangan berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pakan ikan nila. Indigofera sp. merupakan tanaman leguminosa yang memiliki nilai nutrisi tinggi. Dibalik tingginya nilai nutrisi, Indigofera sp. tidak terlepas dari tingginya serat kasar yang dapat mempengaruhi daya cerna bagi ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) sehingga fermentasi menggunakan baccilus sp dengan lama waktu berbeda diharapkan dapat memaksimalkan nutrisi serta menurunkan serat kasar Indigofera sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan daun Indigofera hasil fermentasi bakteri baccilus sp. dengan lama waktu yang berbeda dalam formula pakan terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan dan lama waktu fermentasi terbaik, serta untuk mengetahui nilai konversi dan efisiensi pakan benih ikan nila. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan fermentasi terbaik yaitu fermentasi 48 jam yang mana SR: 53.33 ± 5,77%, PBM: 1,85 ± 0,43gr, PPM: 0,80 ± 0,37 cm, SGR: 1,29 ± 0,06%, FCR: 3,33 ± 0,53 gr dan EPP: 12,77 ± 3,07%. THE PRODUCTIVITY OF Indigofera zollingeriana ON INTERVAL CUTTING.This research aims to know the effect of interval cutting on productivity of Indigofera zollingeriana underneath coconut plantation. The study was done based on completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments in this study were : 1) I1 (cutting interval 30 days), 2) I2 (cutting interval 40 days), 3) I3 (cutting interval 50 days) and 4) I4 (cutting interval 60 days). The results showed that the effect of cutting interval significantly (P < 0.01) affect fresh and dry weight leaf and stem, and leaf/stem ratio Indigofera zollingeriana. Cutting interval 60 days have significantly (P<0,01) fresh and dry weight stem of Indigofera zollingeriana than cutting interval 30, 40 days but, there was no significant difference (P>0,05) from the 50 days cutting interval. Cutting interval 60 days have significantly (P<0,01) fresh and dry weight leaf of Indigofera zollingeriana than cutting interval 30 and 40 days but, there was no significant difference (P>0,05) from the 50 days cutting interval.Cutting interval 50 days have significantly (P<0,01) leaf-stem ratio of Indigofera zollingeriana than cutting interval 30 and 40 days but, there was no significant difference (P>0,05) from the 60 days cutting interval.
