Resumen
Archives have traditionally been the result of individual or collective decisions taken on political, institutional or business grounds in order to preserve documents and make these accessible for use. In the current digital ‘era of plenty,’ which enables an unprecedented creation of, and access to archival content, it seems that the very definition of an archive and its usage is being challenged. As a journal that aims to bring together archival expertise and academic knowledge on television history and culture and the role of archives in mediating the past, VIEW is proud to present an entire issue dedicated to ‘Archive Based Productions.’ Unlike other issues, this issue features the most contributions written by archive professionals, which can be found in the Discovery section of our journal. These archival discoveries complement the more scholarly explorations, which offer a broader perspective on archives as ‘launch pads’ for new productions.

Resumen
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to discuss the critical reasons why citizens need government archives, with an elaboration on why managing electronic records is crucial. Design/methodology/approach The paper offers a philosophical framework that argues that not managing records harms individuals. Examples from several countries are reviewed to find the relevance of the records relationships between people and governments, and the nexus between human rights and archives through an examination of the first three articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is analyzed. Findings The paper identifies a strong relationship between human rights and archives and the way lives are reflected in the records in government archives. This reinforces the argument that governments need clearly established and legally empowered archival institutions. Originality/value Critical examination of the “I” in government archives is relatively rare in the literature, particularly when linked to the human rights implications of government records. The study is a constructive beginning for further academic discussions to explore this dimension, which in turn is related to both the efficiency of governance and the public trust in government.

Resumen
AbstractPersonal digital archiving (PDA) is a relatively new field. As it has developed, two distinct personas have emerged: the individual person, seeking to capture and archive their own or someone else’s personal digital materials; and the institution—including museums, libraries, and archives—attempting to acquire and manage personal digital materials. In doing so, institutions also advocate for the preservation and management of personal digital archives and digital file management practices held in private hands. However, individuals and institutions make different choices in terms of curation and management, based on skills, knowledge, purpose, function and economics. Understanding these differences can aid institutional support for personal archives, as well as help to build collaborative frameworks to help personal and institutional differences be better understood. This paper identifies the similarities and differences in motivation and approach between individual and institutional practices and perspectives in PDA.

Resumen
The topic of religious archives, a catalyst of much discussion in archival literature, has traditionally been overlooked within the discourse of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA). This essay provides a survey analysis of three pertinent issues in religious archives with the intention of generating a wider discussion on religious archives within ATLA. These issues include the role of graduate archival education, the effects of religious faith on both the archival record and the individual archivist, and the idea of a theology of archives. An extended review of the contributions of James O’Toole to the discussion of religious archives is utilized.

Resumen
In order to undertake liberatory memory work, engage effectively with communities and individuals, and centre people rather than records in their work, archival organizations must be aware of trauma and its effects. This article introduces the concept of trauma-informed practice to archives and other memory organizations. Trauma-informed practice is a strengths-based approach for organizations that acknowledges the pervasiveness of trauma and the risk and potential for people to be retraumatized through engagement with organizations such as archives and seeks to minimize triggers and negative interactions. It provides a framework of safety and offers a model of collaboration and empowerment that recognizes and centres the expertise of the individuals and communities documented within the records held in archives. Traumainformed practice also provides a way for archivists to practically implement many of the ideas discussed in the literature, including liberatory memory work, radical empathy, and participatory co-design. This article proposes several areas where a trauma-informed approach may be useful in archives and may lead to trauma-informed archival practice that provides better outcomes for all: users, staff, and memory organizations in general. Applying trauma-informed archival practice is multidimensional. It requires the comprehensive review of archival practice, theory, and processes and the consideration of the specific needs of individual memory organizations and the people who interact with them. Each organization should implement trauma-informed practice in the way that will achieve outcomes appropriate for its own context. These out comes can include recognizing and acknowledging past wrongs, ensuring safety for archives users and staff, empowering communities documented in archives, and using archives for justice and healing.

Resumen
National Program for Culture defines that the digitization and preservation of digital content in the field of culture, which include archives and libraries are among the basic tasks of public institutions dealing with cultural heritage. However, it would be reasonable to think how the digitization of library and archival material and free access to the online content are reflected in the description of digital content. Libraries and archives implemented in the last ten years various digitization projects. However, they did not pay attention to the description of digitized material, which raises the question of the importance of context. This raises also the question of the evidential value of the digitized archives as well as authenticity, integrity and accountability of the digitized material in a broader context, which archives provide on the basis of the principles of provenance and original order. The digitization of archives is not specific only from the standpoint of the digitization process itself but also from the standpoint of the description of digitized archives. Adequate description enables namely the wide use of digitized archival material. A short presentation of literature and up to now accomplished research is followed by an analysis of online accessible descriptions of digitized archival material. The analysis was conducted in 48 foreign archival information systems and their databases. These are large systems, some of which operate as a common database of several smaller archives, but some systems are individual systems of the large national archives. The analyses was conducted in publicly accessible user interfaces, and was based on a direct applicability of the descriptions of digitized archival material within individual database. This is the query that can be performed by average user of archival material with access to the search engine knowing at least the basics of the web browser and of searching and sorting of the results.

Besides using archives for the scientific, economic or economic-operational, legal and administrative purposes, also cultural and educational, or political purposes play an important part. The special archival exhibitions belong (beside the lectures) to the most interesting and attractive forms of the using archives already since the 50‘s of the 20th century - both, the greatest and as well as quite small in the individual archives, use the richness of the row of archives. The new archives buildings in the Czech Republic with the exhibition rooms or at least the showcases give a suitable opportunity for it also. The archival exhibitions have even specific financial and personal requirements, but serve also to propagate the archives and have an invaluable significance for the formation of historical awareness in both nationwide and regional scale.

WEB archiving in Europe – National WEB Archives Web archiving, that is activities aimed at collecting and preserving Web resources, has been carried out for almost 25 years. During this time, many projects have been created to fulfill that task, as well as several organizations, such as the International Internet Preservation Consortium, that support it implementation. The article presents the development of activities in this area, and then presents the conclusions of the analysis of the functioning of selected European national Web archives, based on publicly available materials concerning them. This analysis was intended to examine how the Web is currently archived in this part of the world. Three main issues were considered: gathering, describing and access to the resources of the former WWW. The first of them covers the scope of archiving, namely determining what materials are subject to it, as well as the gathering strategies used for this purpose, which shape the archival collections. The second concerns the metadata and other elements used to convey information about what was collected during that process. The last element of the analysis includes the scope of access to archival WWW resources, existing restrictions and their causes, as well as the tools used for this. During the research, the author also became interested in the software used in individual projects. The obtained results show that the model of Web archive has been developed and the activities of the analyzed initiatives in Europe are very similar.

Viégas, Fernanda Bertini 1971. "Revealing individual and collective pasts : visualizations of online social archives". Thesis, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 2005. http://hdl.handle.net/1721.1/33880.

Resumen
Thesis (Ph. D.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning, Program in Media Arts and Sciences, 2005.
Includes bibliographical references (p. 118-125).
As mediated communication becomes an increasingly central part of everyday life, people have started going online to conduct business, to get emotional support, to find communities of interest, and to look for potential romantic partners. Most of these social activities take place primarily through the exchange of conversational texts that, over time, accrue into vast archives. As valuable as these collections of documents may be for our comprehension of the online social world, they are usually cumbersome, impenetrable records of the past. This thesis posits that history visualization- the visualization of people's past presence and activities in mediated environments- helps users make better sense of the online social spaces they inhabit and the relationships they maintain. Here, a progressive series of experimental visualizations explores different ways in which history may enhance social legibility. The projects visualize the history of people's activities in four different environments: a graphical chat room, a wiki site, Usenet newsgroups, and email. History and the persistent nature of online communication are the common threads connecting these projects. Evaluation of these tools shows that history visualizations can be utilized in a variety of ways, ranging from aids for quicker impression formation and mirrors for self-reflection, to catalysts for storytelling and artifacts for posterity.

Resumen
Philosophiae Doctor - PhD
The main theoretical and empirical interest of this study is the critical examination of the life of David Cecil Oxford (D.C.O.) Matiwane. In it, I critically examine the politics of representing Matiwane’s life and the methods employed in such a discourse. I do this by focusing on the question of representation of political, social and economic struggles launched by D.C.O. Matiwane against segregation and apartheid in South Africa in the twentieth century. This study then questions the notion of creating a biographical supernarrative of his achievements. It confronts the binary approach in the representation of his life and argues that Matiwane’s life is an embodiment of various, even contradictory, philosophies. This study puts forward an argument that Matiwane's representation should be contextualised in relation to the struggles of his contemporaries, and that his narrative should not be seen as a product of a single political route. It unpacks various communal, individual, economic and political strategies employed by organisations and persons against apartheid and colonialism. It looks at how these strategies were implemented to overcome apartheid, and analyses how Matiwane's contribution is documented, especially in relation to contributions made by others. This research project also analyses how different layers and patterns in Matiwane's narrative have been created in an attempt to present his auto/biography as a cohesive discourse in spite of fragmented archival and oral memory. It argues that his memory has been appropriated to pursue different political and personal ends. This study further asks the following question: to what extent and why have different political systems given Matiwane’s voice a platform or silenced his point of view? Are there trends in his representation compared to narratives of his contemporaries? What are the underlying reasons behind such trends, if any? Are there continuities or discontinuities in his representation? What were the ambiguities embedded in their struggles? This study evaluates factors that led to him being declared a persona non grata. It closely examines why and how Matiwane has been represented as a source of controversy, as a lone political activist and as a pragmatist.

Strelnikova, Olga.

In our society, volunteering is often considered something special, something that one simply does or does not. This misconception is partly due to a lack of knowledge and interest in this type of activity. Nevertheless, volunteering has always been and will remain a central part of the development and functioning of society. In practice, we see that the most common form of non-profit work is the ability of people to organize at the local level (usually in an association) to solve specific local problems. Civil society always has different non-profit organizations. Nonprofit forces can do what the government or corporations cannot (do not want). Citizens can play an important role in helping victims in various crisis situations and can also be of great help to the authorities.  But the volunteers work is not always well documented. To get a complete picture of all participants and their involvement in emergencies, registry management must consider its diversity. ISO 15489-1:2016, an international standard for document management, describes that systematic document management is important for both organizations and society in protecting and maintaining reliable records, primarily as evidence that actions have been implemented and, secondly, to support future actions and solutions.  This study examines issues related to such a rather problematic moment in nonprofits resolution of a crisis as documenting the work of their members/participants. With the help of two non-profit organizations (Missing People Sweden and Swedish Red Cross), the measures taken by organizations to solve this problem are considered and analyzed - how to document the work of volunteers, how this documentation will be saved/ archived for future use. Interviews were conducted with the organizations, which formed the basis for conclusions on the current situation. Document theory and the Records continuum model were taken as a theoretical basis for the thesis. An instrumental case study is used as a research method, based on studies of available literature and scientific research, and conducting qualitative interviews. It also discusses how organizations as a whole handle the issue of information and document management in their organizations.  As the study shows, both organizations document the work of the members/participants that reflects this activity in the final reports on the work performed. All this documentation is usually stored only in electronic form and stored/archived on servers. On the issue of document management in general, organizations have completely different approaches to this issue.

Resumen
In routine outcome monitoring (ROM), the rate and timing of treatment failure alerts has been related to the success of feedback in past randomized clinical trials. In a recent OQ-45 feedback study, Burlingame and colleagues (2018) found that the rates and timing of not-on-track (NOT) progress alerts in group treatment were different than those reported for individual treatment. Using data from 58 different therapy groups and 374 patients, NOT progress alerts occurred at 186% of the rate reported by Shimokawa et al. (2010) when they examined over 6,000 patients receiving individual therapy at the same clinics. Another significant difference was found on the timing of the first NOT progress alerts with group treatment's first alerts occurring two sessions later than individual treatment. The goal of the current study was to use de-identified archival OQ-45 data from patients receiving group and individual treatment at a comparable clinic to determine if these rate and timing differences were replicable. Data from individual therapy (N = 5,493) and group therapy (N = 146) patients' OQ-45 scores show that the present study duplicated the significant difference found in the rate of NOT alerts between these formats. Relative risk of alerting as NOT at least once in group therapy was calculated to be 1.43 compared to individual therapy (group patients are 143% more likely to alert than individual patients). On the other hand, the present study did not find a significant difference in the timing of first alerts between formats. The implication of these results are significant when considering ROM in group therapy. Patients participating in group therapy are much more likely to flag as not-on-track later during the course of treatment when compared to patients in individual therapy.

Resumen
Performing Moving Images: Access, Archive and Affects presents institutions, individuals and networks who have ensured experimental films and Expanded Cinema of the 1960s and 1970s are not consigned to oblivion. Through a comparison of recent international case studies from festivals, museums, and gallery spaces, the book analyzes their new contexts, and describes the affective reception of those events. The study asks: what is the relationship between an aesthetic experience and memory at the point where film archives, cinema, and exhibition practices intersect? What can we learn from re-screenings, re-enactments, and found footage works, that are using archival material? How does the affective experience of the images, sounds and music resonate today? Performing Moving Images: Access, Archive and Affects proposes a theoretical framework from the perspective of the performative practice of programming, curating, and reconstructing, bringing in insights from original interviews with cultural agents together with an interdisciplinary academic discourse.

Resumen
Archives are a source of inspiration for health humanities scholars who focus on finding lessons from historical figures or excavating the voices of patients who have historically been silenced. Sound archival research in health humanities may achieve the dual objectives of illuminating individual patient experiences and the power dynamics that shape the healthcare system as a whole. Conducting archival research involves preparing for and visiting the archive, and organizing and synthesizing your material. This chapter draws on research for the book The Recovery Revolution, a social and cultural history of addiction treatment, to illustrate the strengths and weaknesses of archival research methods. Archival research can be challenging because of a lack of patient-centered source material and the influence of biases and hindsight on researchers' interpretations of evidence. An awareness of the contingencies inherent in historical research can improve the rigor of researchers' syntheses of archival material.

Resumen
In order to contextualise texts produced by upper-caste, middle-class bhadramahila, and to get an overview of the condition of women in general in the Bengal Presidency, this chapter uses the conventional archive—official records, censuses, contemporary newspaper reportage, and excerpts from journals. Dealing with the social and cultural base and materialist background that gave impetus to women to write, this chapter will try to provide a holistic picture of similarity and difference between the sensibilities, cultural idioms, lifestyle, and living conditions of women of various strata. In general, though the bhadramahila’s social location and individual positioning in the household differed from that of the lower-caste/class women, they shared cultural experiences and social and domestic conditions that find reflection in literary productions. The trajectories of colonial modernity, conjugal conditions, caste system, female education, and the emerging public sphere are negotiated to highlight the complex manner in which the bhadramahila began to assert her self-identity in print.

Resumen
This chapter explores the use of images from local history archives in the co-construction of short individual films with people with dementia. The study on which the chapter is based was carried out with two men and eight women living in a housing-with-care facility in the northern United Kingdom. The chapter finds that archive images quickly took on a central role in the film narratives of several of the participants. In the process, the archive materials themselves were also transformed, memorialising the everyday spaces and places in which the participants had lived. In this study, archive images were often used to elicit memories of people, or places that no longer look the same in the present day. The chapter reveals that such images were often more recognisable to the participants than were contemporary photographs. This corresponds with research into the ‘reminiscence bump’, which suggests that autobiographical memory for the period between about five and thirty years of age remains well preserved in people living with dementia.

Resumen
This chapter discusses the Inclusive Archive of Learning Disability History. It points to a collaborative relationship between the political ideas derived from public political logics — public service, public sphere, ‘on behalf of the public’ and for posterity — and those that derive from relational and personal-centred politics. Rather than favouring one or the other, the chapter argues that for an archive to be an archive, and for it to be an inclusive one, an approach to archival practice that held both the public and the relational political traditions in dialogue needed to be developed. Both political traditions have a history of being very effectively expressed in the learning disability self-advocacy movement as speaking up and being heard, and of arguing for services to start with the individual by being more ‘person-centered’. As such, the chapter reveals that the task of this archive is to explore fruitful combinations and collaborations between the two political traditions.

Resumen
It is a well-known fact that there has been extensive documentation of African traditional arts in post-colonial Africa, which has contributed to the growing accumulation of field recordings in Africa that could form the nucleus for archives in individual African countries. These include private collections as well as recordings at broadcasting and television stations; government ministries such as Tourism, Culture and Information; museums and academic institutions. Sadly, these precious traditions – which have been expensively captured – are often not properly managed in their host institutions. The caretakers of this heritage mostly sit by as collections deteriorate and sometimes are disposed of due to lack of institutional support. Such practices prevail in most African archives. This paper proposes a new mode of consciousness of the value of audiovisual heritage materials by comparing them with human babies. This new archival management principle, ‘the baby nursing model’, has been adopted and practiced at the University of Ghana and has achieved positive results.

Este proyecto, junto a Mappa di Roma (Roma, 2006), No/w/here.

Assessment and development of pipeline projects in northern Canada, such as the proposed Mackenzie Valley gas pipeline (MGP), are hampered by a lack of baseline terrain geoscience information including drift thickness, sediment type, presence of massive ground ice, and the availability of granular aggregate resources. Clearly there is a need by Industry, Regulators, Aboriginal groups, and others, to understand the nature and character of near-surface earth materials, in order that pipeline proposals can be properly developed, evaluated, and when approved, proceed with the greatest degree of environmental sustainability and economic efficiency. While numerous field-based reports and surficial geology maps have been prepared for the MGP, there are long stretches along the proposed route for which little near-surface geoscience information is available. This is even more apt for areas outside the defined MGP corridor, where the likelihood of tie-in and gathering pipeline systems exist. Drillers’ logs, recorded during auger drilling of seismic shotholes, represent a virtually untapped resource of regional baseline geoscience information. The Geological Survey of Canada recently produced a digital archive of 76,000 shothole records from the Northwest Territories and Yukon, which had originally been collected on file cards in response to the 1970’s MGP proposal. Released in 2007 as a freely downloadable Open File report (#5465), the archive provides users with an Access database of drillers’ logs and derivative GIS maps in which shapefiles of drift isopach thickness, potential granular aggregate resources, geohazards, permafrost and ground ice occurrences, and muskeg thickness can be opened, viewed, and queried, or otherwise incorporated into GIS platforms of the user’s choice. Realizing the amount of additional archival shothole information held by Industry, and the great utility of bringing this forth in a public database and derivative GIS, a subsequent project has focused on capturing and integrating additional data. Receiving near-universal support by the Petroleum Industry, a Version 2 of the database and GIS is currently being assembled, and is scheduled for release in 2009 with some quarter million individual shothole drillers’ records. This presentation highlights the nature, character and distribution of shothole drillers’ logs in northern Canada. It also reviews the derived GIS layers, and how this baseline geoscience information can be beneficially utilized by the Pipeline and related infrastructure development industries, particularly as it may apply to focusing future field studies. It also serves as a key reference tool for those assessing pipeline development proposals.

Resumen
In this paper, a new robust optimization technique with the ability of solving single and multi-objective constrained design optimization problems in aerodynamics is presented. This new technique is an improved Territorial Particle Swarm Optimization (TPSO) algorithm in which diversity is actively preserved by avoiding overcrowded clusters of particles and encouraging broader exploration. Adaptively varying “territories” are formed around promising individuals to prevent many of the lesser individuals from premature clustering and encouraged them to explore new neighborhoods based on a hybrid self-social metric. Also, a new social interaction scheme is introduced which guided particles towards the weighted average of their “elite” neighbors’ best found positions instead of their own personal bests which in turn helps the particles to exploit the candidate local optima more effectively. The TPSO algorithm is developed to take into account multiple objective functions using a Pareto-Based approach. The non-dominated solutions found by swarm are stored in an external archive and nearest neighbor density estimator method is used to select a leader for the individual particles in the swarm. Efficiency and robustness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated using multiple traditional and newly-composed optimization benchmark functions and aerodynamic design problems. In final airfoil design obtained from the Multi Objective Territorial Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, separation point is delayed to make the airfoil less susceptible to stall in high angle of attack conditions. The optimized airfoil also reveals an evident improvement over the test case airfoil across all objective functions presented.

Resumen
Transient behavior of machinery is becoming increasingly recognized as a major factor in predicting life of components and exposing degradation or faults that are not observable from steady state measurements. The methods developed here are directed to trawling archival data records to reconstruct a sufficiently informative experiment in lieu of dedicated testing. The central novel observation is the modification to subspace system identification methods to permit their application to multiple concatenated, but non-contiguous data sets, which jointly can be sufficiently rich for identification while individual records are not. This is a break from traditional system identification, where one uses a single contiguous synchronous input-output record.

Abstract A model of how a product should function to satisfy customers is an essential element in clarifying, identifying, and establishing product architectures. Such functional models greatly enhance the generation of creative form solutions to a chosen architecture. A wider breadth of solutions is generally possible, implementing new and stable technologies. In turn, using the recent concepts of design repositories, the possibilities exist to archive, retrieve, compute, reconfigure, and reason with the product forms. To realize these benefits to the fullest extent possible, functional modeling needs further theoretical development. A formalism of function classes, vocabulary, topologies, and methodology is a first step towards this goal. Recent research efforts have focused on each of these elements, where great strides toward repeatable formalisms have been made. Yet, across the engineering design field, very little active experimentation has been pursued to test the veracity of these elements, individually and as a whole. We address this issue here through a preliminary set of experiments conducted at three separate universities. Design teams and individuals are asked to create functional models, in the context of product development, with and without the formalisms. The outcomes of the modeling effort are analyzed to determine the repeatability of the process. Early results are quite encouraging. Very repeatable results are obtained for three product evolutions, including a toaster, a power screwdriver, and a toy dart gun. In addition, weaknesses in current formalisms are uncovered, pointing to new directions for advancing the field and for carrying out more advanced experimentation.

This study was conducted to inventory, classify, and map soils and vegetation within the ecosystems of Katmai National Park and Preserve (KATM) using an ecological land survey (ELS) approach. The ecosystem classes identified in the ELS effort were mapped across the park, using an archive of Geo-graphic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) datasets pertaining to land cover, topography, surficial geology, and glacial history. The description and mapping of the landform-vegetation-soil relationships identified in the ELS work provides tools to support the design and implementation of future field- and RS-based studies, facilitates further analysis and contextualization of existing data, and will help inform natural resource management decisions. We collected information on the geomorphic, topographic, hydrologic, pedologic, and vegetation characteristics of ecosystems using a dataset of 724 field plots, of which 407 were sampled by ABR, Inc.—Environmental Research and Services (ABR) staff in 2016–2017, and 317 were from existing, ancillary datasets. ABR field plots were located along transects that were selected using a gradient-direct sampling scheme (Austin and Heligers 1989) to collect data for the range of ecological conditions present within KATM, and to provide the data needed to interpret ecosystem and soils development. The field plot dataset encompassed all of the major environmental gradients and landscape histories present in KATM. Individual state-factors (e.g., soil pH, slope aspect) and other ecosystem components (e.g., geomorphic unit, vegetation species composition and structure) were measured or categorized using standard classification systems developed for Alaska. We described and analyzed the hierarchical relationships among the ecosystem components to classify 92 Plot Ecotypes (local-scale ecosystems) that best partitioned the variation in soils, vegetation, and disturbance properties observed at the field plots. From the 92 Plot Ecotypes, we developed classifications of Map Ecotypes and Disturbance Landscapes that could be mapped across the park. Additionally, using an existing surficial geology map for KATM, we developed a map of Generalized Soil Texture by aggregating similar surficial geology classes into a reduced set of classes representing the predominant soil textures in each. We then intersected the Ecotype map with the General-ized Soil Texture Map in a GIS and aggregated combinations of Map Ecotypes with similar soils to derive and map Soil Landscapes and Soil Great Groups. The classification of Great Groups captures information on the soil as a whole, as opposed to the subgroup classification which focuses on the properties of specific horizons (Soil Survey Staff 1999). Of the 724 plots included in the Ecotype analysis, sufficient soils data for classifying soil subgroups was available for 467 plots. Soils from 8 orders of soil taxonomy were encountered during the field sampling: Alfisols (<1% of the mapped area), Andisols (3%), Entisols (45%), Gelisols (<1%), Histosols (12%), Inceptisols (22%), Mollisols (<1%), and Spodosols (16%). Within these 8 Soil Orders, field plots corresponded to a total of 74 Soil Subgroups, the most common of which were Typic Cryaquents, Typic Cryorthents, Histic Cryaquepts, Vitrandic Cryorthents, and Typic Cryofluvents.

Resumen
Abstract. The article deals with the concept of "electronic justice" and features of the use of electronic justice for the consideration of economic disputes. In the digital economy e-justice is one of the legal constructions that provide a comfortable legal environment for economic activity. This is a complex of legal relations and technological solutions that provides individuals and legal entities with the opportunity to use digital technologies at all stages of the judicial process, to obtain information about the activities of courts through electronic access. The e-justice mechanism includes video and audio recording of court sessions, electronic document management with the use of an electronic signature, an electronic archive for storing electronic documents, the use of cloud technologies, as well as the use of electronic documents as evidence. Improving the legal regulation of e-justice in the digital economy, along with reforming procedural legislation, should include the development of a Federal law on electronic documents.
