Texto completoIn this work, the issue about the existence of Surrealist Literature in Italy will be analysed. It is obvious that, differently from the French environment where it was born and developed following precise theoretical rules, Surrealism has never taken a clear shape in Italy. Having said that, some influences and a certain affinity to Surrealist poetics is evident in some authors. In this work, the possible existence of an Italian Proto-surrealism which anticipates the 'French explosion' is taken into consideration. In particular, the works of Alberto Savinio, Antonio Delfini and Tommaso Landolfi, have been studied together with the artistic and literary experience of the Metaphysical 'School' which plays an important role in the definition of theoretical standards of Surrealism both in France and in Italy. In every author taken into consideration, the contact points and the adherence to Surrealist Literature, specifically in relation with André Breton's theoretical works, have been highlighted. It is clear that, for every author, the study followed autonomous lines. There was no intention, indeed, to theorise a possible belonging of these writers to a close and harmonious groups as in France. There was, instead, the aim of considering the possible impact of Surrealist poetic on the works of these authors. At the end of the work, it might be stated that, despite the several differences, there was a moment in Italy in which a certain group of authors produced a Surrealist Literature. They did not completely follow Breton's theoretical treatise, but they surely knew it and explored some of its elements

Texto completoHesiod’s poem is linked to the formation of the greek city-state, a new political form organized by the nobility so as to dominate efficiently a society in rapid expansion : the poet-thinker sets up new integrating ideals, with their inherent ambiguities and contradictions. This ideology aims at the production of goods (within the framework of a family oikos which must be economically self-sufficient and which can theoretically attain wealth) and a "just" distribution of the products of this work under the control of the judge-kings. The epic warrior ideals are systematically dismissed (thus Hesiod would appear to be later than homer). Through a reinterpretation of traditional myths, the new pre-political ideals are presented in a multi-determined form. In the race myth, the rising city-state tries to work out its "historical" development. The myth starts from a referential golden age and is directed towards an iron age where men are reluctant to accept the supposedly natural and patriarchal "justice of Zeus". The Homeric heroes are reinterpreted as religious "archegets". The promethean myth explains the fall of humanity into the world of work, with the generations going from birth to death. It mingles the social evil of hard work with a host of metaphysical evils and explains the cultural inferiority of women through nature. The myth of the two strifes opposes an evil social struggle, which aims at stealing the goods produced by work, to a competitive work attitude, which is corporative and socially horizontal. A flexible and subtle dialectical division of moral concepts and allegories reshapes and reorganizes the world of social morality. Hesiod could not be classed as a peasant poet with good common sense and approximate logic. His thoughts, expressed in a compact and elliptical style are completely coherent and deeply symbolic. He prepares the way for the ambiguous idealism which characterizes classical humanism and the ancient and modern concepts of the state

Texto completoThe participation of women in the 1926-1929 civil war oppossing the mexican state and the catholic church, has so far been neglected by social researchers. The main sources of information about the role women played in this war, have been written by men. In order to unveil the representation and the concepts conveyed about these women and women in general, literary, historiographical and testimonial sources are analysed in this work. While historiographical and testimonial sources do not permit to see the participation of women in the rebellion as a collective answer, coherent with the social circumstances under which women lived, literary sources reduce the historical experiences of these women to a normative feminity outside of which there is nothing but anomaly and transgression regarding the stablished social order. The whole is confronted against the life-stories of women that took active part in the rebellion. Their behavior puts them afar from literary representation as well as from the place historiography has assigned them within the cristero movement. What these women sought, was to afirm themselves in front of men, to obtain recognition for the new spaces of activity opend to them, to confirm their traditional tasks and their place in society

Texto completoThe present study of the exits and entrances in the Aristophanic comedies is first and foremost interested in the “stage directions” contained in the original text, which we analyze distinctively for the characters of the plays and the chorus. Subsequently, the real theatrical space and the one created by Aristophanes are set side by side in the course of studying the openings of the stage in relation with the fictive directions towards which are intended to lead. Finally, we propose consideration of the “ functions ” of the exits and entrances as pertains to their interaction with their motivation. This analysis in itself accomplishes to place in concordance the movements with the unfolding of the intrigue. The exits and entrances are revealed to be the catalyst that develops the action, while even more so they facilitate the emergence of the existence of a homogeneous structure, common in all eleven preserved comedies of Aristophanes. Significantly, it is concluded that these plays are all based on a six-section structure, which in turn demonstrates an ingenious uniform dramaturgical creation on the part of the poet

Texto completoThis thesis studies the representation of a group of sea goddesses, the nereids. These divinities most often form an undifferentiated group. Only a few of them, such as thetis, amphitrite or galateia, have personal myths. Their images have been excluded when they are not accompanied by at least one other nereid. The documents in which these goddesses are represented have been assembled in a catalogue organized according to legnedary themes in which they are present. Images without a narrative context have been organized according to an iconographic outline. The objects (almost 1300), whatever their support, belong to the ancient greco-roman world. Some indo-greek and copt works have been included. However the etruscan documents have been excluded. Thus the catalogue covers a large geographical area (europe, africa, the near est, pakistan) and the period from 700b. B. To the end of antiquity. The commentary which follows the catalogue endeavours to clarify the way people represented the nereids during antiquity. After a definition of the goddesses and their mythical personality (relatives, origin, study of names, etymology, cults. . . ) the representation of

Texto completoToddlers seem to learn easily the meaning of words. Yet deduce what a word refers to, is quiet hard (Quine, 1960). However, the syntactic category of words is closely bound with its semantic class: in particular, most of the nouns are objects referents and most verbs denote actions. This could therefore help toddlers to associate a word with the element to which it refers (Gillette et al. , 1999). My research consisted of a dual approach, experimental and modeling work. Experiments (brain imaging) were to determine whether toddlers used the notion of syntactic category (noun or verb) to process speech. Electrical potentials of toddlers aged of 2 years and 18 months were recorded while they passively listened grammatical and ungrammatical sentences. Different potentials were recorded for grammatical and ungrammatical conditions, proving that young children know where nouns and verbs must occur. The computional model was implemented to test the feasibility of a plausible hypothesis of how toddlers could learn the nouns and verbs categories. Toddlers could initiate learning nouns and verbs categories by grouping words with similar semantic classes, like objects and actions. Then toddlers would inspect the contexts in which those words would appear and would make the assumption that the same context predict word of the same semantic classes. The model was very accurate to categorise new nouns and new verbs from a speech corpus

Texto completoThe objective of this research consists in presenting the theoretical fundamentals of my group practice to approach new ways of psychic suffering as well as the work with expatriate families. Starting from the general hypothesis that subjectivity is shaped by practices and social speeches pertaining to each culture, the space of the group and the space of the dream appear as privileged ways to analyze the cross-linking between the individual story and the collective story. The dispositive of dream analysis in the group, based on the psychoanalytical psychodrama technique, is aimed to assess the psychic effects of the sociocultural imagination. Numerous questions arise in the implementation of this dispositive : does the point of the plot where the group and the dream tie together provide a new dimension of analysis, resulting from the conjunction of multiple psychic spaces ? Might this assembly of intra, inter and transpsychic spaces allow to justify the articulation between psychic reality and social reality and the existing tension between primordial alienation and social alienation ? In order to provide answers to these questions, the dream is elaborated both as an individual and a group production, which leads to reformulate the technique of dream interpretation. On the basis of some clinical vignettes about traumatic dreams and the state of unsolvability caused by trauma ; the group, the dream analysis and some psychodrama scenes will provide the psychic structure with the necessary support lacking in the environment in order to make thinkable the unthinkable. The field of analysis is then expanded towards a comparative perspective of "cultural dreams", the study of transubjectivity, cultural identity and plurality. From this investigation, it is possible to conceive a different approach about the assembly of the group space and the oneiric space regarding the conception of the world in a determined culture. By adopting contemporary concepts about the interpsychic plot as a source of dream generation and the figurability deployed in multiple dimensions through our device, the phenomenon of shared dreams leads to another issue: might this phenomenon be the result of an unconscious psychic transmission among dreamers, in accord with the phantasmatic resonance, the identification and the scenality of the group ? I attempt in this thesis to provide answers to these questions, which are inspired, on one hand, by the emergence of new forms and figurations of psychic suffering and, on the other, by the new perspectives that these answers generate for the psychoanalytic group practice. I also attempt to provide an overview of the new dimension resulting from the simultaneous encounter between the group and the dream

In the doctrinal making of the gnosis one doesn't find anything on the basis of which a sacramental pratice could emerge, on the contrary. The facts seem to confirm this. Nevertheless the more the knowledge of the gnosticism has been extended, especialy through the discorveries of nag hammadi, the more it becomes evident that the gnosis has been a very important sacramental center. Such contradiction has been denied up to now to the disqdvantage of the gnosis unity or under the allegation that it wouldn't be gnosis nor sacrament. What is being recognised here, is that such contradiction, far from being resolved, is necessary to the religious economy, as the history of christianity and buddhism have also shown it

They formed two groups : the one of the officers of finances and the one of the farmers. Some of them were tax collectors (the general receivers of finances and the tax farmers), the others were in charge of the royal expenditures and dept (the keepers of the royal revenue, the general treasurers, and the funds payers). The first part is a study of their social origins, their education, their way of life, their fortunes, their economical and cultural weight. The second part presents the evolution of the financial institutions, from 1715 to 1793, the differents ministers of finances policies, and finaly, the inability of the french monarchy to reform the fiscal system. The last part deals with the fall of the financial society in the same time of the Old Regime, their political role in favour of or against the Revolution, and the physical elimination of lots of them during de Terror

The analysis shows that the teacher's conception of his role and the place he gives to the pupil and to knowledge are fondamental in the construction of his teaching knowledge. This knowledge is formed by a whole of subjective and objective experiences, is grounded in his day-to-day practice, his professional exchanges, values and principles, and also, in lower importance, in his theoretical knowledge. Professionnal knowledge permits the practice and the mastery of the profession and it is an important element in the satisfaction that work brings. It is an unfinished construction, placed at the intersection between practices and knowledges. The conflicts between theories and practices commonly seen in professional learning or acting can open new possibilities in the professionnal development, and they are consequently an important key in teacher's formation

Texto completoThis research is focused on how globalization affect the way medium size Iranian companies are managed within the international scope? Characteristics associated with cultures and religious beliefs that have influences on performances of medium size Iranian companies are also examined. This research is conducted based on qualitative methods; and is based on theory of constructivism. Constructivism is a theory of knowledge which argues that human beings generate knowledge and meaning from their experiences. Information and data are collected by in-depth and face to face interviews with key managers and directors of relative institutions. According to nature of this research the most suitable type of data analysis is content analysis. 32 managers of medium-size Iranian companies were selected for this research: I selected these managers based on their qualifications and experiences. Questions were semi-structured and open-ended. But sometimes, some participants presented new dimensions to the discussions. Questions were presented to participants and tried to make sure that all participants have contributions and give their own ideas and perspectives.Analyzing the data using conceptual frameworks and theoretical models, we concluded that the interviews clearly show that globalization and its different characteristics do not have negative effects in managing medium size Iranian companies. Although there are a number of Muslim countries and developing countries that do not welcome globalization with open arms, Iran seems to be different and has responded positively. By implementing Hofstede's cultural dimensions for Iran and analyzing its measures compared to other societies, coupled with other models and theories we found out that there are not negative influences of cultures and religions that could lower the performances of12management of medium size Iranian companies when facing different cultural and religious issues. This perspective is more convincing in private sector of the economy

Texto completo“People who talk together vote together”. By writing these few words, the British sociologist William Miller resumed, at the end of the 1970‟s, an old research tradition : voting, as a group experience, depends on the contacts that ordinary citizens maintain with those they live with everyday. The research presented in this thesis dissertation suggests questioning again this hypothesis by the mean of a survey that aims to understand how the social context of belonging – i.e. the relational surrounding of a person – shapes the practice of political exchange, and how this practice can affect individual electoral behavior. This survey consisted in an adaptation of the snowball sampling technique around the person-to-person transfer of questionnaires. Starting with a first sample of 10 people called up three times – in 2009, 2010, and 2012 – I could identify many chains of contacts by following the flow of questionnaires within circles of acquaintances of participants. Additionally with statistical data, the survey is based on an ethnographic analysis of the sampling procedure. This work is founded on the assumption that questionnaires elaborated for the survey constitute "political objects", with the consequence that the exchanges of questionnaires within the populations studied establish a setting of interactions with a political dimension. The ethnographic analysis of the elaboration of the transfer allows having an original look on the means by which ordinary citizens organize some political exchanges within the social networks they belong to. The results of this analysis, compared to the one of more ordinary exchanges practiced within social contexts identified during the survey, show that politics, far to respond to independent logics, take their origins in social norms and identities produced by groups. The social structure of context – mainly its cohesion degree – and its composition in terms of economic, cultural and political resources, determine the flow of political exchanges and their ability to create mobilization and to make possible the translation of collective identities into electoral choices

Texto completoThe search for phonetic or phonological invariants in nursery rhymes made us collect them globally, contrast them through a survey and analyse them. The Opies, British folklorists, published an Oxford Dictionary of Nursery Rhymes which became our primary source of material as their precious collection of rhymes had the advantage of being global and objective. Once the corpus established, it became obvious that these nursery rhymes had different statuses as to their popularity among children. The need to contrast them was necessary. A survey was set up and presented to more than a hundred English-speaking children. It resulted in 2 sub-corpuses, popular nursery rhymes (PNR) and forgotten ones (FNR). The question was what made them belong to one or the other? A phonetic analysis was ploughed through the corpuses. By pairing the first and the last stressed consonant-sound of every verse of every nursery rhyme and taking the place of articulation as reference, 2 major opposite enunciative movements arose, a back-to-front movement (B2F) for popular nursery rhymes and a front-to-back movement (F2B) for the forgotten ones
